Youhave heard this story so many times you probably know it by heart now but the story may not be what you remembered. Jason Brody was your average bratty dare devil college boy in way over his head literally. Jason got tip from from asshole that he met in a bar while they were touring Thailand. He told Jason that he and his friends should go on a nice skydiving trip to an uncharted island in the Pacific ocean. Jason being the total dumbass that he was he agreed and the next thing he knew they were jumping out of a plane with parachutes on.

But when they finally landed on the ground they quickly realized that they had made the worst mistake of their lives. Jason learned that the hard way when he discovered that the whole island was infested with pirates. The next thing they all knew they were captured by said pirates and locked away in cages. Jason learned that a man named Vaas was in charge of them. The crazy moron stole Jason's phone and started playing with it like a kid on Christmas morning. Jason of course was too scared to say anything to Vaas but his older brother Grant was not so scared. Grant tried to speak but his mouth was gagged. Vaas snapped and told Grant to shut it or die. But then another man came and told Vaas to move his ass. Vaas left Jason and Grant by themselves with a guard. But the guard wasn't doing his job very well as Grant managed to free himself from his binds as well as Jason's. After that Jason and Grant then made their move and managed to escape but they still needed to find the others. Grant and Jason were trying to figure out where should they go and what should they do. Along with where were they keeping the others.

"What the hell are we going to do now Grant", Jason asked as Vaas shot Grant in the neck.

Jason tried to save Grant but in the end he died in Jason's arms. Vaas didn't even give Jason time to grieve as he shouted at him to run for ten second head start. Jason ran into the jungle not really sure of where he was going. But he knew that those pirates were chasing after him. Jason just kept running until he fell off a bridge and landed into the water below.

Before Jason lost consciousness he saw someone pull him from the water.

When Jason woke up he found himself in a hut with Dennis giving him a tattoo on his arm.

Dennis said that it was some kind of magic but Jason didn't really believe him. Dennis offered to help Jason save his friends as he gave him cash for weapons. Jason was hesitant at first since he wasn't Grant. Jason didn't know how to shoot or fight like a soldier would. But Dennis taught him a few things but the rest he had to learn on his own. Eventually Jason found a spy working undercover in a nearby village on the island. Jason tracked him down where he met an Agent named Willis Huntley. Willis offered to help Jason free some of his friends but in the end he ended up leaving for Asia for reassignment.

By the time Jack arrived on the island Jason was already far ahead of him. Jack met up with Willis too before he left. Willis informed Jack that the kid had some skill and had already managed to free most of his friends except for one which was his younger brother Riley. Jason had killed Vaas already and at that time he was after Hoyte. Willis left Sam to watch over and help Jason free his brother. Jack eventually met up with Sam but Jason wasn't with him. Sam told Jack to meet them at Hoyte's office. But by the time Jack had got there all he found was a whole of dead mercs including Sam and Hoyte. But Jason was long gone.

"Damn it Sam I told you to wait", Jack swore to himself.

Just then Jack found a file that indicated the location of Riley Brody and that he was being sold to a terrorist in the middle east. Jack knew that was where Jason headed off to.

Jack ran all the way to the airstrip just in time to see Jason and Riley flying away in a chopper. Jack picked a chopper of his own and chased after them. But when Jason got back to the doctor's cabin but he was too late his friends had been captured by Cirta who turned out to be Vaas' sister. The doctor died on the ground there and Jason had no choice but to head back to Cirta's temple.

Jack figured that much as well. Cirta's temple was a fortress but Jack knew that the girl probably wanted revenge for the death of her brother. Problem was that Jason and Riley had been captured as well and Jack had to get them out before Jason did something stupid. Jack ran into the temple and slaughtered all of Cirta's guards including Dennis. Jack found Jason's friends in a nearby cell as he quickly freed them.

"You have to save Jason from that bitch", Liza cried.

Jack knew that she was probably trying to seduce him right before she would kill him. Jack ran upstairs to her chambers where he found Cirta holding a dagger about ready to slice Jason in two while he seemed to be in some kind of trance. Jack shot Cirta in the head twice and watched as she fell to the ground. Jason woke up and wondered what had just happened.

"I just saved your ass now come on your friends are waiting", Jack said as Jason followed him.

After that they all got on a boat and sailed back to the states with Jack's help of course. Jack looked over at Jason and he could tell that he had been through a lot it all sort of reminded him of himself.

"You kids are all going to need some serious therapy after this. A pity that won't help you forget", Jack said as he stared into the horizon.

Eventually Jack got the kids home safe as he returned to the agency for his new assignment. He looked through the file on his desk and noticed that he was going to Asia with Huntley to stop a tyrant named Pegan Min. He also read that an American was being held captive named Ajay Ghale.
