Chapter 2

The next day passed quickly, and the bar closed early to start the holiday. Dean and Storm did a good cleaning of the bar since it would be closed for the next four days. Storm excused herself twice to run upstairs and nibble on some crackers and drink some ginger ale. Dean wasn't really paying attention to this and thought nothing of it.

"When is Coop going to get here?" Dean asked as they made their way upstairs to the apartment.

"He'll be in tomorrow morning. Dad wants to do a few things around here for some of the veterans, so he won't be here most of the day."

"Sammy said they're coming early Christmas morning. I'll fix some breakfast for everyone, something small since we'll be having a big meal later."

"Thanks Babe, that'll leave me free to take care of the rest. I'm sure Bree will be helping too."

"We eat first and then open gifts," Dean stated firmly.

"Ohhh, aren't we being bossy," she teased him.

"Damn straight! I'm not slaving over a hot stove only for it to get cold because Sammy takes so long opening gifts and then he has to inspect everything about them."

Storm looked at him for a moment a bit perplexed before bursting out laughing. She held her stomach as tears rolled down her cheeks as she tried to get control. But every time she looked at him, it started up again.

"It wasn't that funny," Dean pouted giving her a sour look.

"Oh man, do you ever listen to yourself?" she sighed. "I'm going to get a shower and relax for a bit before fixing dinner."

"Want company and then how about a foot massage?" Dean asked catching her hand.

"Of course, but only a shower. I'm exhausted and wouldn't make a good partner, but a foot massage does sound heavenly."

"That's fine Babe, I'm not here just for the sex. You know that, right?"

"I do, but it doesn't hurt that you're so sexy and appealing."

"Awe, you say the nicest things," Dean cooed as they stepped into the bathroom for a shower.

"Oh, my goodness, how did you learn to do this?" Storm moaned with delight as Dean massaged the sole of her foot, pressing his thumbs into the flesh sending waves of tingling fingers up her legs.

"I have my ways," Dean chuckled watching Storm bask in his ministry of her feet. "When I'm done, you just lay here, and I'll get us some dinner going."

"Have I told you how much I love you?"

"All the time." He continued to rub her feet until Storm went to sleep.

Den moved her feet from his lap and got up to lean down at kissed the tip of her nose. He headed for the kitchen and looked in the fridge to see what he wanted to fix. He started pulling things out and sitting them on the counter. When he had the meal prepared and in the oven, he went back to check on Storm.

Dean looked down at her sleeping face and smiled, thinking she looked like an angel when she slept, until she snorted in her sleep making him almost laugh out loud. He fought the urge, clamping a hand over his mouth, so not to wake her. He flopped into the recliner beside the couch and picked up the remote to see what was on the television. He quickly lowered the volume and began to flip through the channels, finally stopping on an action movie. He was going to let Storm sleep until the food was ready.

When the timer on the stove went off, Dean got up to check the food in the oven. He pulled out the dish, replacing it with some rolls to brown. He sat the dish on the stove so he could set the table and get the drinks made. When everything was on the table, Dean went to wake Storm so they could eat.

"Wakie, wakie my love," Dean cooed to Storm as he kissed her lips and nibbled on her neck.

"I'm up," Storm mumbled stretching her body and looking up into his face.

"Dinner is on the table, let's eat."

"Alright, help me up," she replied holding her hands out so he could pull her from the couch. "Smells good, but you should have woken me so I could have helped."

"Babe, you're on your feet five to six days a week tending the bar; you deserve a break. I'm capable of fixing a few meals for us."

"You're my hero."

"You're going to make me blush."

"Please! You blush. That's a laugh, especially when you're telling Sam about our bedroom antics," she giggled. "Oh Babe, this is so good and tender." She got up and got the pitcher of water from the fridge and poured a glass.

"You don't want the beer?" Dean questioned.

"No, just not in the mood for one tonight."

"I'll take it, don't want it to go to waste."

"Didn't think you would. I'm going to be getting everything I can done tomorrow for the Christmas meal, so there won't be that much to do but cook it on Christmas day. Maybe you should go to the diner for our lunch or dinner, whatever we eat."

"Sure, no problem. I can do that, and I can help too."

"Are you going to eat that roll?"

"No, go ahead," Dean replied as he watched her help herself to more potatoes. He almost gagged when she got the mustard out and squirted a stream across them before eating them.

"Don't knock it until you try it," she snipped seeing his gross expression.

They finished their meal and cleaned up before going back into the living room to watch a little television before bed.

"Sammy just texted, they'll be here in five minutes. I'm going to unlock the door," Dean told Storm as he read the text.

"Great, when Dad's out of the shower we can have breakfast and then open gifts. I've got everything under control in here."

Dean headed down the steps and opened the backdoor to let Sam and Breeze in. They greeted each other and walked up the stairs to the apartment.

"Merry Christmas!" Storm greeted them hugging Sam and Breeze.

"Merry Christmas to you," Sam replied hugging her tightly.

"Oh Sis, Sam couldn't wait to give this to me," Breeze squealed holding out her hand to show her the ring.

"I'm so happy for you guys," Storm cried out hugging Breeze. "You did good Sam."

"I'm happy for you, bro," Dean told Sam hugging him and then Breeze. "Welcome to the family kid."

"Hello everyone," Cooper greeted them. "Did I miss something?"

"Sam has asked Bree to marry him," Storm told him.

"Congratulations you two. That great news," Cooper told them.

"Alright, I've got breakfast waiting, let's eat and we'll commence with the gift giving," Dean announced loudly shooing them toward the kitchen.

"He's bossy today," Sam mumbled to Storm as he snickered.

"He's got the day planned out, just go with it," she smiled.

Dean had set the food on the counter so they could serve themselves buffet style. An extra folding table was butted with the one in the kitchen to make room for everyone. Once everyone had their plates fixed and drinks, they took seats and began to eat.

When they were finished with the meal, they went back to the living room and Dean began to hand out gifts. Christmas music was playing in the background as they chatted and started opening their gifts. Everyone was happy with what they had gotten.

Storm got up to check the turkey and use the bathroom. She stepped into her bedroom to get two more gifts.

"Dad, Dean, you need to open these at the same time," she told them handing them a gift each.

"Okay," Cooper shrugged looking at Dean.

"No clue," Dean said taking the small box.

Breeze was fidgeting and couldn't sit still, smiling widely making Sam wonder what the gift could be.

"What are they?" he whispered.

"Wait and see," she exclaimed.

Cooper pulled the wrapping off and opened the box, pulling back the tissue paper. He froze for a moment as he looked at what was inside and then up at his daughter. Tears filled his eyes as he got up and wrapped his arms around Storm and hugged her.

Dean tore the paper off the box and got the lid off. He pushed the tissue paper aside and frowned as he looked at what was in the box. He took out a photo of something and then looked at the booties under it.

"Let me see," Sam insisted pulled the photo from his fingers.

"Are you…Does this mean…You're going…" Dean stammered in disbelief as he handed Sam the box and got up from the couch.

"Yes," Storm replied happily stepping into Dean's arm.

Sam pulled the booties from the box and looked at them and then at the sonogram showing the baby. He grinned with joy and happiness for them.

"You're going to be a father," Storm whispered to him.

"I love you," Dean told her. He let his hand rest on her abdomen, thinking of the little miracle growing inside of her. His heart seemed to swell that it felt like it was burst as he beamed with pride and joy.

"When are you due?" Sam asked.

"I'm four months along now, so May, a spring baby."

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Dean asked.

"I wanted to be sure things were going to be okay and I didn't lose the baby. My doctor says I'm healthy and the baby is healthy and doing fine. I'm barely showing but that's going to change soon. I'll have a baby bump."

"Do you know the sex yet?" Cooper asked.

"Not yet. I go back next month and they can tell me."

"Tell me when your appointment is and I'll be here," Dean said. "I'm not missing any more of them."

"I hoped you'd feel that way. I want you involved in everything from now on."

"We have been blessed with a new baby on the way and a wedding coming up," Cooper told them. "This is a joyous day for us all."

"Amen to that. Stormy, you sit down and rest. I'll go keep an eye on the things in the kitchen. Sammy can help me," Dean told her guiding her to the couch and making her sit. He pulled a throw from the back of the couch and laid it over her legs, tucking it around her. "There, my loved ones are all snug and warm."

"Dean, I'm not helpless and can…"

"Nope, you'll do as I say. You worked hard yesterday and deserve a break. C'mon Uncle Sammy."

"Dean's not going to let you lift a hand," Breeze laughed.

"I guess I'll have to have a talk with him," Storm sighed. "I don't play the helpless female very well."

"Awe, leave him alone," Cooper said. "He can't help himself. He's being the proud daddy."

Dean, Sam, and Breeze finished the meal with Storm supervising. Everything was delicious, especially the pies, and all ate too much. After cleaning up and putting away the leftovers, everyone went into the living room to watch the game. It didn't take long before the men were asleep and Storm put in the movie, 'Die Hard' for Breeze and her to watch. It had become a tradition for Storm to watch this movie on Christmas day.

This Christmas was one filled with love, surprises, and happiness for everyone.
