Man: I didn't miss it this year jackass!
Loudcrowd111: I've read your story before, I'm just now realizing it was based on home alone lol.
Octavio Sumarkho: Life happens sometimes, and sometimes people just get lazy and don't know what to tell you.
"Ma'am we're not going to be able to find you a flight by tomorrow." A female worker informed Rita.
"Are you serious!? My kid is home alone!" Rita said as her daughters Lucy, Lynn and Leni stood behind her.
"I know ma'am, it's just that our closest flight is on the 27th." She explained as Rita groaned.
"Well we called the house." Lynn Sr walked up to his wife with Lola, Lana, and Lisa behind him with Lily in his arms. "Our call couldn't even get through." He informed his wife. "I left the Mcbrides a message in case they beat us home." The Loud father explained.
"Oh this is a nightmare!" Rita cried, causing her daughters Lana, Lucy, Leni to worry. Even Lola couldn't help but worry a little despite her anger over her dress.
"Worry not mother." Lisa said, pulling out a tablet. "With my new security system set up, we'll be able to see Lincoln's whereabouts, and I'll be alerted if anyone dares break in." Lisa explained.
"Oh thank God!" Rita said as walked next to Lisa in order to hopefully see if her only son was safe but to Lisa and Rita's amazement the cameras were offline.
"Hmm, well this is unexpected." Lisa said, perplexed.
"What's wrong?" Leni said worriedly.
"It seems my system is off, but that's weird? It should be armed, and the cameras should be working." Lisa was confused. "Wait.." Lisa thought for a bit. "Of course! I forgot to re arm the system after the power outage! How could I be so careless!" Lisa smacked herself.
"No." Rita sniffled a little bit. "It's not your fault sweetie. What kind of mother forgets her own child!" Rita's eyes watered.
"It'll be okay honey." Lynn grabbed his wife into an embrace. "He's a smart kid, and he's not a baby anymore, he'll be fine for two days Rita, plus he knows where the emergency funds are." Lynn Sr assured his wife while she stood there on the verge of tears still not convinced enough to rid her of her worries.
Elsewhere a trio of robbers were making their route through Royal Woods as if they were Santa, except instead of leaving gifts they were taking.
"And that's how it's done!" Jacob bragged to himself as he successfully picked the lock to the McBride house as Sammy and Maria stayed in the car as lookouts. The crook looked around the house to see if the coast was clear. It was dark and as he expected no one was home. "Copy, Maria? Everything's clear, send Sammy in." Jacob communicated to her.
"You heard him." Maria said, looking at Sammy.
"Alright." Sammy sighed, hopping out the car and walking into the house.
"Look what we got here." Jacob said, turning the lights on, looking at all the nice things the McBrides had in their home.
"Oh, that's a nice TV right there! We should start with that!" Sammy told his partner.
"Don't be stupid! That'd look too suspicious, and besides we're here for something more valuable." Jacob explained.
"Like what?" Sammy asked.
"Like MONEY dumbass!" Jacob tried to keep his voice low as he looked around. "I'm going to look upstairs, try and find something valuable, we're not making multiple trips to the car. Once we leave this house we're gone!" He explained.
"Yeah yeah.." Sammy said, looking around as Jacob went upstairs. He was annoyed at his partner talking to him like he was a kid.
"Cmon baby, I know you're around here somewhere." Jacob said to himself as he searched through drawers of the dressers and desks of the master bedroom. "Here we go." Jacob smiled, spotting a desk that needed a key to open it. "How old fashion." Jacob scoffed as he began to pick the lock to the drawer, unlocking it. When Jacob opened the door he was surprised to see three thousand dollars worth of 20 dollar bills rolled up. "Jack. Pot!" The criminal said giddy as he unrolled the money and counted it as he walked stairs.
"Jacob!" Sammy said as he saw his partner. "You won't believe what I found!" He said next to a bunch of unwrapped presents.
"What are you doing Sam…" Jacob said, looking at Sam with a blank expression. "Have you really been down here unwrapping some kids' presents?" He asked.
"Well, yes." Sammy admitted. "But look at this!" He held up a brand new iPhone.
"This family must be pretty loaded." Jacob said as he showed Sammy three rolled up wads of 20s worth 3000 dollars.
"Oh man! We hit the Jackpot here!" Sammy said excitedly.
"Tell me about it! Now let's get out of here." He whispered. Before they could leave the McBride phone started ringing.
"What's that?" Sam said, slightly spooked.
"It's the phone dummy! Clean the wrappers and let's leave." Jacob scolded his partner, only annoying him. Before they could leave the phone went to voicemail.
"Hey this is Mr. Loud calling. I know you're on vacation but if you happen to get this message please call us back. Lincoln's at home all by himself and we're really worried! If you happen to get home before us would you please check on him! Okay, talk to you later." The voicemail came to an end.
"Did you hear that Sammy!?" Jacob turned to his partner. "Looks like we have another house to add to the list! The Loud house huh?" Jacob said with a smug grin.
"Ugh, this vacation is totes ruined!" Leni said, flopping on a hotel bed.
"What? Why does it have to be ruined?" Lynn asked.
"Are you kidding? Aren't you worried about Lincoln, like at all?" Leni asked.
"Worried about that white haired sissy? Why!?" Lynn demanded.
"Yeah! Plus he's probably happy to get away from us." Lola pouted.
"He's twelve! He could totes hurt himself! What if someone breaks into our house and does something to him?" Leni worried, her words even made Lola start to worry.
"Don't be silly Leni, twelve is more than old enough to survive a few days alone." Lynn rebutted.
"So you're not at all worried?" Lucy asked with a slight bit of emotion seeping through her monotone voice, she wanted to believe her roommates words, but she couldn't shake this ominous feeling she had. Lynn thought a little bit before she responded.
"No, there's very little crime in Royal Woods, so unfortunately the little nerd will be okay. You all remember when we all got paranoid about burglars." Lynn, more so trying to convince herself than her sisters.
"Our 5th oldest sibling is correct." Lisa sided with Lynn. "The chances that someone burglarizes our home is rather low." She explained.
"See, the genius has spoken." Lynn motioned at Lisa as Leni, Lucy, Lana, and Lola looked around to see if Lisa had convinced each other.
"Well why isn't he answering the phone!" Lana asked, still very concerned that something happened to her brother.
"Pfft, he's probably still crying about yesterday." Lynn scoffed.
"And it's possible he believes we purposely left him at home purposely in retribution for his actions." Lisa added.
"But that's not true! We'd never do that!" Leni said frantically, not wanting her brother to think they'd abandon him.
"Well you can explain that when we see him" Lynn said relaxing. "Plus, Lola's probably right, he's probably enjoying some time by his lonely." Lynn explained. "So let's stop worrying and enjoy our trip."
"Indeed, but more likely our biological parental units cellular calls didn't connect to our home." Lisa explained but by the looks of her siblings it seemed they didn't understand what she said, causing Lisa to sigh. "Fathers calls didn't get through to Lincoln probably because of the power outage yesterday." Lisa explained differently causing her siblings to let out a chorus of 'ohhhs' in understanding.
In another room the Loud parents were trying desperately to get ahold of their only son "The calls not going through Lynn!!" Rita said, having called their home 20 times at this point.
"Rita calm down, the house phone probably isn't working because of the outage." Her husband explained.
"What if that's not the case Lynn! For all we know he could be somewhere scared! Crying!"
"I'm having the time of my life!" Lincoln screamed "Take that Lynn!" Lincoln said dunking on a mannequin he stole from Leni's room. "Only if that was the real Lynn. Can't wait to dunk on her in real life. Take her down a notch." Lincoln said with a grin. "These shoes Lisa made are amazing, it's like I'm jumping on a trampoline!" Lincoln said in amazement as he walked back inside. When he walked in the home his stomach started rumbling. Lincoln started to sport a devilish smile. If his family is gonna forget him at home he might as well take advantage and use the family emergency funds to get the Pizza he didn't get yesterday thanks to an annoying jock sister of his. Lincoln went to the phone to dial up Pizza Hut, but quickly realized the phone wasn't working. 'That's weird.' He thought, he checked and the phone was properly hooked up, Lincoln figured the plug socket was shorted or something. "Great, looks like I'm walking." Lincoln said. Thankfully Gus' Games and Grub wasn't far away.
"Hey Gus!" Lincoln greeted him with a smile and a wad of cash in his hand.
"If it isn't my #1 customer! What can I get for you?" Gus asked.
"One large pizza with just olives my good sir." Lincoln took out a 10 bill.
"Olives? You sure have bad taste in pizza." Gus laughed at Lincoln.
"Hey! I have intricate taste buds!" Lincoln defended his choice of pizza, only making Gus laugh harder while Lincoln frowns at being laughed.
"Be safe out there, and merry Christmas kid." Gus says as Lincoln grabs his pizza and begins.
"You got it, Gus!" Lincoln said exiting the building.
'Man this Christmas rules!' Lincoln thought as he walked home. 'A whole pizza just for me, I have the whole house to myself, Lisa's cool devices, and most importantly NO family to ruin it!' Lincoln smiled at the thought, but his smile began to falter as the words "no family!" Echoed in his mind. Lincoln stopped for a minute, yes he was having the time of his life but a small part of him felt a pang of sadness in his heart. Yeah most of his sisters thought he was a loser and were kind of mean, and his parents rarely ever did anything about it, but they were still his family and he couldn't help but miss them even if just a little bit.
"We hit the Loud House at midnight." These words snapped Lincoln out of his feelings, looking around to see where the voices came from.
"Why midnight?" Sammy asked.
Lincoln peeked around the corner and noticed an overtly tinted car with the passenger window halfway rolled down.
"Because idiot, most people will be asleep by then." Jacob explained.
Lincoln squatted behind the car so he could hear their conversation better.
"I mean they're a family of 13 they have to have some money saved up, right?" Jacob said.
"They're a family of 13 on Christmas, and aren't they on vacation? How much money could they have left?" Sammy asked.
"You idiot if they're going on vacation they must have a decent amount saved somewhere, and besides we're after valuables anyway." Jacob tried to defend his idea.
"Well what about the kid? Didn't his parents say they left him there alone?" Sammy asked.
"What, don't tell me you're afraid of a kid?" Jacob laughed at his friend. "And besides.." Jacob stopped laughing and dawned a more serious face. "We're dealing with a kid who was left alone, if he happens to 'disappear' everyone will just blame the irresponsible parents." Jacob said with a devious smirk on his face.
Lincoln's blood ran cold. People were planning to burglarize his house, and they might even kill him? His head was spinning, what did he do?
'Police! I need to call the police!' Lincoln shouted in his mind until he remembered that his phone line wasn't working.
"Maria come out yet!?" Jacob said impatiently.
'There's another one?' Lincoln took this time to stealthy, but quickly, walk away before this Maria person showed up.
'I need to find someone who'll let me use their phone.' Lincoln thought running towards the nearest house but as soon as he reached someone's porch he had a thought, if he calls the cop he'd have to explain to them why he's home alone and this scared Lincoln out of wanting to call the police. He may be mad at his family but he didn't want to be separated from them despite everything.
This might sound cowardly but Lincoln considered just going to Clyde's and letting them rob his house, people might think he was scary for this, and they'd be right! Lincoln was a 12 year old, what is he supposed to do against who knows how many adults who are probably armed and showed zero qualms against killing a child. Lincoln ran to the McBride household and began knocking, only when no one answered did Lincoln remember that they also went out of a town. This was a disaster, Lincoln looked through the window and noticed the McBride's Christmas tree was on the ground and the living room was messy, which were unusual for the OCD McBride family, a few things were missing too, the. It hit Lincoln, this burglars had hit Clyde's house.
Lincoln began walking not sure what to do, he was scared to go home but he had no where else to go. A few blocks away from his the Loud boy noticed sirens and instinctively hid. They looked like they were coming from his home but he couldn't tell, either way he couldn't risk the cops seeing him.
Lincoln walked into his house, slapping his pizza on the table, his anxiety was too high for him to even enjoy it. What was he to do? He paced around the house, there were presents under a tree, instruments in Luna's room, Lynn's exercise equipment in the garage, Leni's fashion equipment, Lisa's equipment, Lola's various dresses and princess car, emergency funds his parents have been building up since Lori was conceived. Lincoln could vividly picture the sad and distraught looks on his family as they walked into an empty home robbed of their possessions. Lincoln couldn't go for this. He looked at his watch, it was only 6:13PM, more than enough time. He ran to Lisa's room then Luan's to grab some things to get war ready, this was his house and he'll make sure those burglars understood that.
"Honey come to the hotel, running yourself ragged isn't helping anything." Lynn told his wife.
"No! Maybe I can find someone who's willing to sell me their spot." Rita explained.
"During Christmas?" Lynn said doubtful. "Certainly someone had to have answered our calls!"
"I mean Luan, Luna, and Lori answered but Luan and Pop Pop couldn't go anywhere due to snow and closed roads, Lori and Bobby wanted to drive back but I told them not to, my heart can't handle two of my children in danger, and Luna is in another state with Sam." Rita explaining sighing. "Did the police get back to you." She asked.
"No, not-" as Lynn was talking he received another call. "Speak of the devil, I'll have to call you back baby." He told his wife.
"Please call me back." She said as her husband ended their call.
"Hello?" Lynn answered.
"Mr. Loud?" The cops answered.
"Yes, officer were you able to check up on my son?" Lynn asked.
"We went to your house, even went inside and checked around and couldn't find your son." The officers words made Lynn's heart stop. He was now officially worried. "Well search around for him and check back."
"Okay, thank you officer." Lynn said in a low voice as he hung up. He put his finger on his temple trying to calm himself.
"Daddy." Lynn heard a low soft voice, making him turn around to see his 7 year old daughter Lola.
"Hi sweetheart, you okay?" Lynn said as he got up and grabbed his daughter, sitting her on his lap.
"…..is Lincoln okay?" Lola asked her father.
"Of course, don't underestimate your brother, he's a smart young man." Her father explained.
"You promise?" Lola looked her dad in the eye, worry clear as day in her face.
"Pinky promise!" Lynn stuck his pinky out, wrapping it around hers. "Now cheer up, it's Christmas you know?" Lynn tried to lift his daughter's mood.
"It doesn't feel like it." Lola muttered. "I think I'm starting to get why Lincoln was complaining." Lola softly said to herself.
"What do you mean sweetheart?" Lynn asked.
"What's the point of presents or even being in Florida if I can't even see my siblings on Christmas, and my brother's all alone by himself probably scared." Lola began to tear up.
"Hey hey, don't worry Lola. Lincoln will be okay and we'll all celebrate Christmas together, even if it's on the 27th." He assured Lola as he pulled her into a hug."
'I need to find a way for me or Rita to get home fast' Lynn thought to himself as he rubbed his daughters back.
Finally updated just in time for Christmas! Hope everyone is having a great Christmas, we're finally back. I had to up the stacks a bit, these burglars mean business but with Luan's stuff I'm sure Lincoln will be able to set up some crazy traps, he's learned from the best after all, and he'll also have Lisa's tech to help him fight back.
