Christmas Dreams Ch 10
Fran, Sarah and Desi were currently in the kitchen working on span class="il"Christmas/span dinner while JJ and Emily were working on decorating the dining room and setting the table for dinner, they wanted everything to be perfect as they celebrated Christmas and the news that in a few months they would be welcoming another new member, the next generation of Morgan children.
Derek and Penelope were sitting on the couch cuddled up talking about baby names, Dave, Hotch and Reid were walking Jack and Henry play with their games while Mudgie and Clooney were busy eating some of the snacks they got from Santa. Derek looked at Penelope and said, "are you sure that you're alright?", she said, "yes sugar, I'm fine, I promise I'm fine", he said, "I still can't believe it, I can't believe that we're having a baby".
She said, "yeah I was a little shocked when I found out too", she then put her hand in his and said, "are you happy about the baby?", he said, "ohhhh yes, this is the best news that I've heard in like forever". Penelope said, "I know that we hadn't talked about having kids, I mean we just got together before Thanksgiving but", he put his finger over her lips and said, "I love you and I love this baby and I'm going to do everything that I can to make sure that the two of you are happy".
Penelope said, "as long as we're together I'm happy", Derek said, "well baby girl, you are the light of my life sweet lady, you are my guiding light home, you are the love of my life and the other part of my heart". She cupped his face in her hands and leaned in and claimed his lips with hers in a gentle kiss, when they pulled apart she said, "you are the best thing that's ever happened to me and I want you to know that I will love you forever and ever" as this time Derek leaned in for another kiss.
They pulled apart to the sound of Fran saying, "come on everybody, dinner is ready", the family got up and made their way toward the dining room with Jack and Henry taking the lead while Derek and Penelope were bringing up the rear. Derek intertwined their fingers and said, "this is our first Christmas together as a couple, the first of many baby girl, the first of many", she smiled and nodded her head yes in agreement.
When they sat down at the table Dave said, "I would like to propose a toast", everybody raised their glasses as he said, "this is our first Christmas together as a family and when next Christmas rolls around we'll have another addition to our family, the next generation of Morgans will be with us next year", The family all looked at Derek and Penelope and smiled, they were so happy for them and they couldn't wait till the little boy or girl she was carrying was born so they could spoil it rotten.
Dave smiled at everybody and said, "Merry Christmas I love you all", everybody said in unison, "Merry Christmas", they then took a sip of their drink and then Fran said, "alright, let's eat", they all grinned and started filing their plates with the delicious food Fran and the other women had worked so so hard on.
About an hour later the family was sitting in the living room talking about the snow storm, Jack and Henry were wanting to go back outside but it was snowing so so hard that you couldn't see 2 feet in front of your face. Reid had promised that when and if the snow slowed down they could go outside but that right now it was snowing too hard, the boys pouted for a minute and then agreed before running off to play with the new toys they had gotten for Christmas
As the rest of Christmas day flew by Derek rarely left his baby girls side, ohhhh how he would have loved to have proposed to her tonight, he had the ring, he'd had it for quite a while but he was wanting to make her wishes all come true. He sat with his arms wrapped around her thinking to himself, "don't worry sweetness all of your dreams are gonna come true, every single one", he then kissed her gently on the lips and said, "Merry Christmas".
She smiled lovingly into his eyes and said, "Merry Christmas" they then cuddled closer together and enjoyed the fireplace, it was so cold outside but ohhh so warm inside and as she sat wrapped in his loving arms she couldn't help but smile. She was smiling because her life was falling into place, she had Derek and she was pregnant with their child, the rest, well the rest she would gladly wait for.
