"Mama, is Daddy meeting us at grandmother's?"
"He might, Pamela." Valerie nods down smiling, holding the 7 year old's left hand in her own right one.
Carefully crossing the street, to smile upon a small house surrounded by tall buildings. Before approachingthe porch, the door swings open.
"Valerie dear and sweet Pamela, Merry Christmas Eve!" Valerie's grandmother smiles, arms wide. Pamela rans into the embrace. The blonde giggles softly at her ravenette daughters enthusiasm.
"Is Daddy here?"
Her great grandmother and mother look to one another.
"Oh I'm sorry Pamela. He is still at work. But if we decorate the tree time will fly faster." Her elderly face smiles in mischievous giggles.
Resulting in Valerie smirking, watching as they run inside. Over her right shoulder blade, she sighs.
'Peter. . . We are waiting for you. Please stay safe out there.'
With that hopefully thought, Valerie enters her grandmother's house. Her flowing red cloak blowing in the howling winds as it starts to snow.
THE END!
