A/N: I finished one Swan Queen, bringing more of my Pandemic fics. I figured I would just start posting them as I finished the other in the rotation. THe ones on the Swan Queen side are much longer than the ones on the VIctorious side, so I have been posting a lot of new Victorious fics. But finally, I finished one. so you get this newness. I love this movie so much. Sandler and Aniston are Ge's so I'm putting this up here. I hope you enjoy it. S.K.
Overheard
Ten years ago:
I was getting married in an hour to the love of my life, Danielle. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen, inside and out. I'd never been with someone who could look past my shortcomings - the thick glasses, braces, and the Mills schnoz that both Zee and I inherited. None of it mattered, and she was even more lovely to me for it.
My family had warned me that she was too beautiful. They said that I shouldn't fall for the first pretty face that paid attention to me. So what if I had only met her hours after breaking it off with my college professor, a sweet older man I admired? I had mistaken admiration for love, and he had been the only person who seemed interested.
But he wasn't my preference. I liked women more. Sure, I could be with a man again, but Danielle was so pretty. I felt lucky to have found her.
I woke up that morning happy as could be. It was a beautiful day, and I was glad I had listened to Mother not to get my hair done before I got to the venue, as my hair was wild and curly due to the humidity. I sauntered into the venue, my heart fluttering as I watched the flurry of activity around the dressing rooms. My bride was here! I entered the adjoining room to hers and sighed as I looked at my reflection in the mirror.
I quickly pulled on my white women's tuxedo, making sure my itty-bitty endowment appeared voluptuous in a corset. When the hair and makeup department came, they spent a lot of time on my face, mainly my nose, contouring and reshaping its look. I loved the end result. I told them to define my curls. I had gotten a bob the day before, and the ringlets looked beautiful once rearranged in an updo.
I had never looked better. When they were gone, I sat anxiously, waiting until it was time for Papi to walk me down the aisle. But I just could not wait to see Danielle any longer and got up to check on my beautiful brown-eyed girl.
"Regina, what are you doing?" I jumped as I heard Zelena's voice.
"Shhh, Zee," I said. "I just need a little peek."
"It's bad luck, Gee!" Zelena said. "Let me go in and check on her for you. Okay?"
I nodded vigorously and headed into my dressing room. Happy giggles filled the adjoining room, and my sister, God bless her, left my room with a wink, leaving the door open so that I could hear.
"Hi there, is there anything I can get you, sis?" "Um," I heard sweet Danielle's voice. "Yeah, um, I could use another bottle of champagne."
"Oh, fabulous. I will go get that, but I don't think it's champagne, just some American bubbly." There was silence as my sister babbled on. "Champagne only comes from a region in France with the same name, and this is just... I'll just go get that."
I heard her footsteps approach my door, and she gave me a thumbs-up as she passed by.
"She is so annoying!" I heard Danielle express once Zelena was out of earshot, and the gaggle of women in the room with her erupted with giggles again.
"And her face is busted," Tamara, the maid of honor, guffawed. I furrowed my brows. I thought Zelena was beautiful... sure, the nose was prominent, but her body... her eyes... she was gorgeous.
"I know!" Danielle exclaimed. "Now in an hour, she is going to be my sister-in-law."
I listened closely as I watched my friend Ruby approach.
"How do you deal?" Another said.
"I'm laying down the law with Regina," Danielle said. "We're seeing her goofy family as little as possible."
Well, I'd promised Mother and Papi every Sunday. So I don't know what to tell Danielle. "Right… Regina is going to go for that."
Danielle laughed, "Believe me, I have her well trained."
The mean women just laughed. I didn't think it was so funny. That really hurt my feelings. But what Tamara said next set my heart rate pounding.
"So, what happened with Mario last night?"
Dani made a shushing sound and then lowered her voice, but I could still hear it clear as day. "So I said to him, you need to speak now or forever hold your peace."
"What did he say?" One of them asked.
"He said he was never going to settle, and I should go ahead and marry Regina." I was devastated; I couldn't believe Dani was cheating on me with a man.
"Oooh," one of the bridesmaids intoned. "Did he give you a wedding present?" I didn't like her tone of voice. It sounded delicious. It sounded like she was inferring that Danielle and Mario crossed the line last night.
She couldn't have? Could she?
Sure, we had never been intimate. But it was because Danielle was an old-fashioned and proper lady. She wanted to wait until we were married.
I'm the one that has been with other people. I mean, well, one man. Besides, sex was not that important. Though the night before I wanted her so badly. But she had insisted that we had waited to do this for so long, what was one more night?
I agreed. Besides, we had a lifetime to explore each other.
Come to think of it, she really did turn me away pretty fast when I snuck down the hall to her room door last night.
"Don't be so crass!" Another of her friends scolded. Then they all giggled some more.
Then Danielle added, "You could say that." Everybody sounded a little bit shocked. "It was the very last time I was going to be able to do that guilt-free. Last little bit of dick for a while, and we went so hard! Now I have to get used to the taste of pussy."
One of them gasped, "What if you got pregnant!"
"Ha! Are you kidding, I could tell Regina that our love is magic and she would believe me," Danielle said. "I have that bitch wrapped around my little finger."
Her friends laughed, "You're insane."
"But I got laid," she stated. "Besides, if I have to look at that schnoz for the rest of my life, I deserve a reward." I winced; I suppose I could be better looking, but like my sister, I had a great body.
I mean, yeah, my nose is big, and my boobs are too small, but my ass... it's a really nice ass.
"You're insane, you don't have to do this you know?" One of her friends said.
But then I heard Danielle defend. "Oh come on, Regina is so sweet, and respectful, plus she's going to be a cardiologist. So I'm marrying her and the penis in the middle of her face." Her friends burst out laughing, and then I touched my nose.
Ruby came closer. My dear friend had heard everything my bride just said. She wrapped her arms around me. Her green eyes were watering and full of pity. "Regina, I'm so sorry."
Yeah, that really hurt. I walked out of the Venue and I never ever looked back. I made up my mind then and there, that I would never again allow myself to fall in love.
No more women, no more men. Just me and if I needed to get my rocks off I could just find someone because I was fixing the schnoz, I was buying some boobs, and I was going to be the hottest plastic surgeon in Boston.
