Ned Leeds was in his hotel room in Washington, DC for his school's Decathlon finals as part of the team. Through the windows his eyes widened as he noticed Spider-Man coming through it. "You're the Spider-Man from YouTube!" Ned spoke in shocked awe as Spider-Man had him keep it down.

"And you are a smart kid from New York who I need help with removing a locator chip as well as hack into my suit and disable some protocols." Spider-Man told him as Ned's eyes widened.

"You want my help? To hack into your own suit?" Ned asked in disbelief and Spider-Man nodded.

"Yeah you could be my 'Guy in the Chair'!" Spider-Man offered and Ned then became excited as he nodded.

At the car park for Midtown School of Science & Technology; it was night and time for the school's Homecoming Dance; Ned was there to witness Spider-Man in his old first suit get on the hood of Flash Thompson's car wanting to commandeer it despite Flash saying that it was his dad's. "Ned; I got your number when we last met so I need you to track my number as I give a little drive..." Spider-Man then called out as he not too gently drove the car much to Flash's despair.

Ned then nodded and ran wondering about Spider-Man using his old suit.

Ned was in his hotel room for his Summer trip in Europe with the Decathlon team; then he saw Spider-Man in his hotel room again who told him "I need my Guy in the Chair to be alert as there are monsters from the Earth called Elementals who are at risk of destroying everything..."

"You want us to help you catch people from the multiverse?" Ned's best friend Michelle Jones-Watson asked Spider-Man in disbelief as she was besides Ned. She then dryly said "how can I say no but I will try and say..."

"Totally! You can count on us!" Ned then said as MJ just shook her head.

"Hello Earth to Ned..." MJ said putting her hand up and down in front of Ned's face as he seemed to be in daydream mode; they were in jackets while outside of an old lab facility in Boston.

"Sorry MJ... Was thinking about Spider-Man again and how he came to me, a kid and I don't think we met outside of his suit... Just about every major thing he took part in, he came to me and he and Mysterio even followed our European trip. All of this until we got accepted to MIT; what does that say to you?" Ned then asked as MJ thought about it.

"That you have a superhero stalker..." MJ then replied and Ned gave her a look. "Come on Ned; I could understand if this was a case of you being scared of him and the danger that attracts to him but I don't think this is the case. Why are you so hung up on this guy?" MJ then asked and Ned just sighed.

"I don't know... I have been asking myself for years why Spider-Man came to me to be his Guy in the Chair... I have thought long and hard about it and I can't help but think that there's something major missing from my memory; it's been taken from me and it was a major part of my life. Maybe this was a destiny for me... Maybe I could be like him and that's why I looked through some of my family's heirlooms and got this..." Ned said taking out of form his pocket a black colored Sling Ring that he put on his finger. Ned then excitedly said "I have been practicing; from my family's old journals; it was something that an ancestor was keeping a hold of from an evil wizard since..."

"You're family has magic in it's history; I know... You have told me plenty but I am curious as to how exactly you the nerd who has seen so much movies and shows; thought there was nothing wrong with deciding to use something that used to belong to an evil wizard..." MJ said as Ned then started started practicing his hand movements with the Sling Ring and managed to open up a portal to within the building. "Ned... I am going to be honest... Seeing about using portals to go into old labs sounded fun but I now realise that if we are caught; we could end up kicked out of MIT and losing our new jobs before we even start them..." MJ then pointed out concerned as Ned took a step in but accidentallybumped into a shelf and had a cannister fall out and break on ground outside.

Ned breathed in some green gas from the cannister and MJ picked it up and Ned closed the portal as they then ran away. "Hopefully we can dispose of this and so no evidence can link us back to it..." MJ softly said looking at the cannister which was marked 'ASM #238'. "Ned! Are you alright!" MJ asked concerned as Ned looked dizzy and she went to catch him as he tried to steady himself by holding onto a nearby lamp post but ended up bending it with his grip much to their surprise.

Back in New York City; Peter Parker awoke in his apartment and accidentally knocked over some positively graded work he had done for ESU; he put on the news which was talking about Spider-Man getting people out of harm's way from a woman in a homemade green and yellow spandex suit with a green mask with a yellow star bolt mask. The woman Francine Fry had dubbed herself 'the new Electro' and was using electricity powers to rob a store with glee with Peter as Spider-Man mostly getting people out of harm's way and catch falling debris; all he ended up needing to 'defeat' her was web her up after she tired herself out by using more of her powers than she was able to handle. Sources say that she had broken into a lab and was doused with chemicals during a light storm and was hit by a bolt.

Peter then had his phone go off and it was his supervisor at work Phineas Mason; "Parker... I know you are not late yet but Ms Hammer has been really on my ass about progress on our work and you know that today is where we welcome the new co-workers into our own club? I really don't want you to be late and put us behind schedule and it will make Ms Hammer mad and if she's made then I... will be mildly upset after taking the blunt of her anger... Just make sure that you get here in time please!" Mason told him and he laughed.

He got his stuff together and wondered about a good way to get to work in less time than to walk...

Peter used the stairs to get to the top of the apartment building and changed into his Spider-Man suit; he jumped and made a web to start web slinging as the citizens on the streets all took notice.

"Look there's Spider-Man! Yo Spider-Man; the white on your suit is growing on me!" said one of the passengers as Peter smiled at being able to fix his reputation after what happened with Mysterio all that time ago. He then found a call coming from Felicia his girlfriend and he answered it with the communication technology put into his mask. "Hi Felicia; taking a swing to work since I am on break from ESU and did you see the news yesterday? I seriously bet that the new Electro spent more time putting her costume together than practicing with her powers; I mean I didn't need the other version of me or another guy with sand powers to take this one down!" Peter then said.

"I saw it Peter and I am glad that you managed to stop things from escalating but you know what today is right? Are you ready to see..." Felicia asked and Peter then noticed a speeding car out of control on the road and asked her to hold on a second. He then went down and caught the car before it was going too fast.

"So; as I was saying... Are you prepared for..." Felicia continued on but Peter looked up and saw a window cleaner screaming as he was hanging from a skyscraper's scaffolding. Peter then went and caught him and put him down safely much to his gratitude. "So anymore distractions from..." Felicia asked sharply as Peter then saw behind him was a kid in a purple mask, ski goggles and white clothes.

"Spider-Man! Are you ready to fight yet or what you coward? You will pay for what you did to my parents!" snapped the kid as Peter just looked bored as the kid ran up to Peter but was caught by a couple running after him.

"Richard!" sternly said the boy's foster father taking off the mask to reveal an angry looking Richard Fisk. "Sorry again Spider-Man; I would kill for your patience that you must have to deal with this..." said the man apologetically as Peter shrugged.

"The kid was raised by his Kingpin father and mother to think that they were the good guys and lost them at a young age; probably will take some time to help him realise the truth and until then... I can play along with this." Peter said as he then waved to them and took off swinging. "Sorry Felicia; had to take care of my latest encounter with my nemesis 'the Rose'! To answer your question; I can deal with being reintroduced to MJ and Ned again! I have made my peace with what happened and we can just be friendly co-workers!" Peter said trying to be convincing as Felicia sighed and whispered something in French.

"Talk to you later mi amour..." Felicia softly said as Peter was near the Hammer Industries building and found a spot to change into his civilian clothes. He then straightened himself out and his face fell as he let out a big sigh.

He sure hope that he was ready to face them again...

Yes Francine Frye as Electro was taking down quite easily by Spidey in his first encounter during the Clone Conspiracy storyline (whichI believe was she debuted) and all he had to do like here was take advantage of her inexperience; only there he just almost in his own words was make use of the fact that she didn't know how the old tricks used to beat the first Electro.
