Merry Christmas everyone!
Sorry for the long wait. Here's a new one!
I rebel after Katee's comments about Din and Bo having no romantic stuff going on. She is definitely denying it since she said it herself that she ships them! Even Carl Weathers can see it coming!
So here it is!
As the sun rose over the horizon, casting its warm hues across the cityscape, Koska could see a change in Bo.
Since retaking Mandalore, and the departure of DIn Djarin, her friend had been throwing herself into countless different works that she was afraid that she might collapse. She knew her friend was an alcoholic, but never to the point of overworking herself.
But today, it was a 360-degree turn.
Koska couldn't help but notice something different about her leader and friend. Bo-Katan looked fresher today, her hard stare was gone, and replaced with a somewhat more ease-stoic side of her. Her leader, usually stern and focused, seemed to carry an extra sparkle in her eyes, a faint smile gracing her lips more frequently than usual. Koska had been around her long enough to pick up on these nuances, and today was no exception.
The burden she carried seemed to be lifted off somehow, Koska could feel it.
Or perhaps a certain someone helped her carry her responsibilities? After all, he was the one who managed to strike a deal and ease the hatred between Mandalorian in Ming Po.
Well, she certainly had a lovely night it seems, she grinned. As much as she likes to tease her friend, she's also happy that she's happy. Her friend deserved it after so much pain and burden she had been through.
The trio made their way through the bustling streets toward the Ming Po City Council, their purpose clear but Koska's curiosity was piqued.
Axe Woves fell in step beside Koska, and they exchanged a knowing glance, she knew that her friend was also thinking the same thing as her.
They both gave each other devious grins before they turned to their leader walking ahead of them.
"Sooo….., someone seems happier today," Koska cleared her throat innocently as she pointed out a particular waiting subject, "How was the date night?"
She could see her leader went rigid at that mention. When it comes to personal things, Koska just knew which buttons to press on her best friend.
Bo-Katan coughed, "I…..I'm not sure what you are talking about."
"Come on, spill it," she nudged her arm, her eyes then caught something gleaming around her right hand. Well, isn't that something? She knew Bo-Katan never wore any fancy jewelry, yet here she was wearing one that gleamed as bright as their bear armor. It must've cost a fortune to gain a material that has a similar feature to the item of their people. She smirked, "At least tell me that he was the one who gave you this?" she grabbed the hand and presented it to her face, "Well, well, isn't that pretty?"
Bo-Katan whipped her hand away from her, "Get off me." Koska noticed her cheeks were slightly turning red. Gotcha!
"Djarin gave that to you, didn't he?" Axe caught up to them, giving her a smirk, "I didn't know zealots could be romantic."
"The more you call the Children of the Watch zealots, the more you're going to contribute another fracture to Mandalore, Axe," Bo-Katan reminded him with a somewhat dangerous tone.
He raised his hands, "My bad," he said, not even sounding sorry anyway, "But seriously, for a guy who seems to be a loner, he does know how to get through to you."
"That's not…" Bo-Katan squirmed.
"So how was the date then?" Koska cut her off, returning to the same topic that they somehow made a beeline. "Was it nice? Did you sleep with him?"
"Koska!" she exclaimed.
But the Nite Owl wasn't going to let it slide easily, she clenched her right hand into a fist and slammed it to her other palm, "Seriously, if he went after the other woman and left you, I'll gut him."
"Nooo, nooo, no one is going to gut anybody," Bo-Katan rubbed her face in frustration, "Because Din was with me the entire time."
"And?" Axe asked in earnest.
"Well…." she shifted uncomfortably, her cheeks getting even more red, "He…introduced me to several places, and all."
"And?"
This time, she smiled with not much hint of shame. Her eyes sparkled and her head looked up, "I did," she finally admitted shyly, "He…..he is good. Being with him…..it feels nice."
Koska smiled, hearing her friend happy warms her. Her friend is not usually open regarding feelings, but hearing those simple words from her, Koska knew it meant a lot more than it should.
She clapped her shoulder, "Good for you." As much as she loves teasing her best friend, she's happy she is getting moments like this.
Her Mand'alor smiled shyly ahead, before straightening her back, "We should be able to go back to Mandalore today. Right after I spoke with the Chief. Koska is coming with me. Axe, do prepare the Gauntlet."
"Of course," Axe saluted his Mand'alore before sprinting to find the Gauntlet.
Din is humming as he inspects his N1's front. Actually humming.
When was the last time he did that? To truly enjoy something from a domestic thing?
All his life, emotion wasn't his friend. Ever since his parents and mentor died, he was never attached to anyone as he believed he was incapable of such things. Why would anyone want to be with a loner?
And then, the kid shuffled his way to his life and changed everything.
Grogu, the tiny child of a Jedi, helped him to find himself too. Throughout his journey, he found that he gained better allies and a wider network of assistance. Through those networks, he was able to gain the necessities he needed on his journeys: weapons, some nice credits, vehicles, and a place to stay.
And of all his networks, he met Bo. One of the most amazing people he had ever met.
Not only did he learn so much about his kind, but he found himself wanting to be better. He has a cause to fight for, and no longer just for the covert. But for all Mandalore. And perhaps he had grown to care for her a lot more than he thought he should.
Perhaps it must've started when he brought her into the covert, where he learned a lot more about her. She had always confided with him, and not long later, after many interactions together, how they would switch turns to take care of Grogu, he found himself opening up to her.
And that was perhaps how he was comfortable to reveal himself to her after Grogu.
Force, even kissing her was thrilling. Din had never been with anyone before, but his first with her was worth the wait.
"I take it that your festival went well?" Omera said behind the N1.
Din was startled and turned to her, he was so engrossed in his task and thinking about his kiss with Bo last night that he had forgotten that she was still with him in the hangar.
"Patu!" Grogu babbled as she was approaching them.
Omera looked at Grogu and smiled, "Hello, little one," she patted his head, and the kid purred in content, "I see you've been enjoying yourself."
"Bo!" he clapped his hands before pointing at Din in delight. He knew how much Bo meant to Grogu, and he's sure he knew how he felt for the woman too.
"How was the festival?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with interest. "Did you and Bo-Katan enjoy it?"
Din turned towards her, a hint of a smile playing beneath his helmet. "Yes, we did," he replied, his voice steady and warm. "The festival was lively, filled with colors and sounds, unlike anything we've seen before. Bo-Katan…" he stuttered just saying her name, his mind just ran to what happened the night before, and it was more than perfect. "She was different there, more at ease, less burdened by the weight of her past and her duties." When he saw her in different clothes, he was stunned. He didn't expect her to change, but it was truly a welcoming sight. "She loved it, and I loved it too."
She was the most beautiful woman there.
"Did she return your feelings?" she asked genuinely.
Din nodded, "Yes," he said, "we were able to work things out." There is no way he would forget how they both kissed, how her lips felt soft and warm, how she fit so perfectly in his arms. Of all the moments he had experienced in his life, nothing could top that. "I took her to the place you told me, and I…..I told her how I felt there, and she told me the same too."
Omera's smile widened in understanding. "Did you also give her the Jade?"
He nodded, "I gave her at the pool you showed me."
"She must've fallen for you harder," she stated as if it were an obvious fact, "I know because my husband brought me to a place similar to a place like that too, all those years ago," She sighed, and her eyes looked so forlorn and far away. "Well, I said 'yes' too."
Din was stunned at this knowledge, "You never told me this."
"Well, you came to a widow to help court a lady. So I gave you my expertise, not a story about my past. Right?"
He sighed, "Well, you'll be delighted to know that it worked. Very well, actually."
"Of course it does, I fell in love long ago too, you know. And Winta was the result. I know what it feels like," She smirked. Her head then fell to another object nearby her, "Oh, here are your resources," she gently tapped on her
"Thank you for your help," he said. He never knows anything about courting a lady until today. If it weren't for her help, he'd be a bumbling mess when he confessed to the leader of his people. He was so ready to give up, he's just a foundling after all. And she's a princess. What chances could he get?
Perhaps it was why he wanted to be seen as more than just a foundling. More than a warrior. It was why he had been working harder.
She nodded, "Here are the resources that you won," the woman gestured to her small droid trailer that is carrying a box filled with bags, "Count this as compliments from the Ming Pos and your reward."
Din walked to take a better look at the gifts. Looking at it curiously, he turned to Omera, "What are these?"
"These are vegetable and rice seeds," she said, "Grew them in Sorgan, exported them here, and now, to you. Mandalore is about to have something in common now."
"Our people will be pleased," he said.
"Of course, for I am the one who managed them all to grow them," she said proudly. "Well, I have other matters to finish on the farm, I hope you're enjoying yourself here."
He nodded, "Thanks for your help."
She gave him a warm smile before turning back to the kid, "You keep an eye on your father, okay?"
"Buu," he cooed in reply, Din was unsure if he understood her, but he seemed content anyway.
Omera smiled at him before walking away.
And that's when he saw Axe walking his way. He walked past Omera, but not before giving her a nod of acknowledgment. She did the same before she continued walking away from the Hangar. Din wondered why he was here and not with Bo.
"She's a fine lass, isn't she?" Axe noted as he approached him.
He sighed, "She's a good friend. Helped me a lot of things, and she gave us a portion of the things we need," he gestured to the boxes beside the N1. "I believe this will fit in the Gauntlet."
Axe turned towards it, "Well, would you look at that? Looks like planting will be our first farming activity. Our Mand'alore will be pleased as we don't have to wait for the first batch to arrive for the next couple of days." He suddenly turned to Din, making him nervous, "And speaking of pleased, Bo-Katan seemed to be in a lot better mood today." He gave Din a knowing smirk.
He refused to give in, "I'm sure it's because the meeting went very well. Force knows how painful politics are."
"Or a certain Mandalorian managed to steal her heart," he grinned, making Din cringe. He was never good at revealing his personal feelings, even when he showed his face to the very people he holds dear, it was still a problem. That night with Bo….it was a huge gamble. He was afraid of what she might think about her face, but Bo isn't the type of person to judge immediately, "So, Djarin," he innocently cleared his throat, "I saw our Mand'alore received a pretty bracelet, was that from you?"
Din shifted shyly, this is going to be a while, "Yeah," he mumbled. Force, why is he acting like a teenager?
"Well, you'll be happy to know that she is wearing it now as she's speaking to the Chief."
He snapped his head in his direction, "She did?" He expected her to use it only on certain occasions, but this?
"She's even in a good mood today, better than any mornings I've ever seen," he noted, "You didn't sleep with her right?"
"What? No! Why would I…."
"Well, at least you know your limits, my friend," he clapped his back, earning an annoyed cough from Din. He is annoyed by how fast news spread about his night with Bo. "Look, I know we didn't have a good start, calling you a zealot and all," he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, "But Bo-Katan is my friend, and I want her to be happy. And I've seen how she's been around you, it's like you're her happy land," he said, "Of all the times I've been around her, she's never been this happy."
"What are you getting on here," Why is he telling him this? After all the side eyes he'd been getting, he was sure that he'd be more cautious towards him because of his religion.
"All I'm saying here is that," He straightened his back, "Koska and I know about you both. Bo-Katan had been through a lot, she had lost a lot of people she loved. Her family, her home, and when she lost her fleet that she fought so hard to get…."
"And the Darksaber that immediately led to that," he went right for the throat. He's not going to let it slide after how much it crushed her when she lost her fleet.
"Yea, that," he said sheepishly, "But despite all that, even in her harshest moment of losing her fleet, you were there for her. Everybody expects something from her, but you? You never ask for anything in return, just like for this agenda. You willingly fought on her behalf and got around the place like you were the tour guide. I bet the locals like to have you around."
"They are going to be our ally, what did you expect?"
"The point is, you are good with her," he said, "You are her rock when she needs it the most, you never ask for anything in return, you are just always there for her. You make her happy, and that's what Koska and I want for her."
Din stayed silent, trying to comprehend what the Nite Owl said.
"You are an honorable guy, I think I can trust you that you'll take care of her, better than any of us had," he said. "And I think she knows this as well, I can see why she's fond of you."
"I won't hurt her," he immediately replied, showing how determined he is to commit to Bo.
"That's good," he nodded, "Well, I'm going to prepare the Gauntlet. The boss said that we're leaving today."
"Ok," he said.
Axe gave him an acknowledged slap on his beskar shoulder and left him and the child before opening the door to the gauntlet. He signaled the small trailer droid to follow him, and the droid followed him earnestly.
Din watched Axe disappear inside the Gauntlet before turning to Grogu, who was looking at him curiously. Grogu gave him a tilt of his head, and his black eyes looked at him, "Bu, Bo?"
"What are you looking at," he chuckled before going back to his ship.
"Patu," the child chirped before waddling towards his father.
In the aftermath of the council meeting, the atmosphere was one of quiet contemplation. The room, adorned with the simple yet elegant artifacts of Ming Po culture, hummed with subtle, respectful energy.
Bo-Katan lingered, her fingers idly brushing over a bracelet on her wrist, a new habit of hers now after she felt a sense of relief. Now that everything is in order, she can finally let go of a little of that burden.
"My lady, before you leave" The Chief approached her before she could even step out of the room. His eyes, sharp and perceptive, fell on the bracelet. "That is a beautiful piece," he remarked, his voice carrying a weight of curiosity and respect, "Where did you get that?"
Bo-Katan looked down at the bracelet, feeling a little embarrassed now that she was willing to let everyone see this gift. "Thank you," she said as she held it up for him to see. "It was a gift from …..my champion, Din Djarin."
"Your warrior that spared mine?" she nodded. The Chief looked at it with wonder, his gaze still fixed on the bracelet. "In our culture, such gifts are not mere tokens," he began, his voice taking on a tone of gentle explanation. "They are symbols of deep connection, a bond that transcends the physical. That is why it has the carvings of the skies and moon, for in the dark, they are always together," he explained, "To receive such a gift, and to wear it, speaks of a profound link between the giver and the receiver."
Bo-Katan's cheeks tinged with a blush, an uncharacteristic show of emotion. She was a warrior, often stoic and composed, but the Chief's words struck a chord within her.
Beside her, she can feel Koska smirking and grinning at her.
"It is said among our people," the Chief continued, "that such a bond is not just a matter of respect or admiration. It often signifies something deeper, a connection of the heart."
Bo-Katan's eyes flickered with a mix of surprise and realization. The bracelet, a simple band of metal, suddenly felt heavier on her wrist, laden with unspoken words and feelings she had yet to fully acknowledge.
"I must say, this bracelet isn't given easily by our people," he told her, "If a vendor is willing to sell to you
Bo-Katan thought back on the last conversation he had with Chief Baron as she strolled through the lush greenery of New Sundarii's plaza, her mind adrift in a sea of thoughts.
Beside her, Din Djarin walked with his usual composed demeanor, and Grogu floating on his pod beside them, looking around enthusiastically at the constructions of New Sundari park.
He had given her a knowledge that somewhat uncovers something deeper about the two of them. But she's unsure if Din knows what he was doing when he bought that bracelet for her. It could be because it looked pretty. No, but he told her the significance of it.
Lost in her reverie, Bo-Katan barely noticed Din's gaze upon her until he spoke, his voice gentle yet tinged with concern. "Bo?" he asked, "You okay?"
She glanced at Din, her thoughts snapping back to the present. "I'm fine," she replied, her fingers subconsciously touching the bracelet on her wrist, "Just….thinking."
"Anything in particular?" he asked.
"Hmm," she contemplated for a while. Come to think of it, they hadn't spoken about their relationship since that night. It was a kiss and a silent night of walking just enjoying each other's presence. "I guess my mind is just occupied," she tried to dodge the subject.
He hummed. Please don't press it. "Well, I hope the council is pleased with our success with the Ming Po?"
"Oh, after that stunt you pulled in that little tournament of yours," Without thinking, she laced her hands with his, earning a startled Din as he looked at her quickly, she smiled at him cheekily, "We've got more than what we came for."
At first, she was afraid that she may have been too direct. This was a gamble. But thankfully, he squeezed her hand and held it firmly, "I'm glad that I can be of assistance, my lady."
She cringed, "Din, you know how I feel you using that title on me."
"Well, you are Mand'alore, Bo," he tugged her softly, she secretly smiled knowing how brave now he is to show his affection to her in front of everyone. In public. People will talk, but she didn't care. She doesn't care at all. He's the one who brought stability to Mandalore and herself. Who are they to judge who Din is?
"While we are here together, I'd prefer you drop that title," she grumbled, giving him a raised brow. "That's an order, Din Djarin," she stated to him firmly.
He chuckled under his helmet, his tone was so gentle just as he always used it for Grogu, "Yes, Lady Kryze."
"Din," she groaned.
"Bo," he corrected, "Force of habit."
"I'm sure it is," she snorted.
He pulled her closer to him until she could feel all his warmth at her side. She giggled at his little playful side that she rarely felt with him, she missed bantering with him. Without him, it's always seriousness, not that she can't blame since there is so much to do. But with him, she could get a break at least.
"Here we are," they have been enjoying each other's presence that they have forgotten where they walked to. "What is this place?"
Bo looked in front of them, she looked at the ruined structure of the solemn site. She hates coming here, but it felt right to come, given the situation now.
The shrine, though in ruins, held a dignified presence. Time and conflict had left their marks on the structure; once grand and imposing, it now stood as a poignant reminder of the past. Weathered stone pillars, partially crumbled, framed the entrance, and within, fragments of what used to be ornate carvings and mosaics told silent stories of valor and loss.
Once the homes are built, she's going to make sure that this place will be next.
After all, it's where she feels closer to her family.
Bo-Katan's eyes swept over the ruins, her expression a mixture of sorrow and respect. "This is the Memorial Shrine of Sundari," she began, her voice steady yet tinged with emotion. "It's a place to honor the victims of the Mandalorian wars. So many lives were lost, so many stories ended too soon."
"Oh," Din looked back, "I'm sorry."
"Don't be, it's a long time ago," She said, taking a moment to gather her thoughts. "Among those we remember here are my father and sister. Adonai and Satine Kryze," she said their name in a shaky breath, their names are so hard to even mention. How long has it been since she had spoken their name? Has it been that long? "They were buried here." Her hand instinctively went to the bracelet on her wrist, a subconscious gesture of seeking comfort. "Sometimes I come here to look for something…some guidance."
"Did it help?" he asked her genuinely, not judging her for her actions. Perhaps it's what she likes about him.
"Well, you know," she sighed, letting go of his hand before approaching the large slab with her House insignia in front of them, one that contained the ashes of her family, it probably decayed already after such a long time, "Silence as the stones they are. You're not sure what kind of answer you're getting, not even a yes or no." She sighed, remembering the times she came here alone and feeling helpless when she was stuck in a particular problem from the council meetings. Sometimes, she'd cry like she did when she was a little girl. Hoping that they could hear her. How much she's doing her best to restore their home planet. She always felt alone when she came here.
But today, it's different. She's surrounded by the people she loves now, and she wants to introduce them to her family, hoping that they'd…well…acknowledge them….in their own ways.
Din slowly approached her, "I think you are doing just as well," he said to her softly, "You've achieved so much. I'm sure they're proud of you…..wherever they are."
Bo smiled a little, feeling content that Din would say that to her. No one had said that to her, ever. "I hope so."
So lost in her thoughts of her father and sister, she didn't notice the warm strong arms wrapping around her, making her feel safe. In her heart, she felt a swell of emotions at his embrace.
Din's presence, usually marked by a guarded composure, now offered her a comforting strength. "You've made them so proud already," he whispered, his voice soft yet resonant.
Bo closed her eyes for a moment, allowing herself to lean back into the security of his hold. Din's words, simple yet profound, echoed within her, acknowledging the burden of legacy and the silent pain she carried for her father, her mother, her sister, and her people.
She smiled at his words, relishing the comfort. Her hand snaked to his arms that were holding her tightly, never letting her go. "Thank you, Din," she replied in an exhausted tone. It was a rare admission of her inner feelings, a recognition of the sorrow and pride that were inseparable from her identity and history.
To be acknowledged by the person she loves makes things a whole lot better. She closed her eyes for a moment to relish the feeling of being in his arms.
In that solemn moment, Din held her within his embrace, gently placing the top of his helmet on her.
He could feel the weight of her emotions, the silent strength with which she bore the legacy of her past and the expectations of her people. Standing there, in the shadow of the Memorial Shrine, Din recognized the depth of her struggle, the quiet resilience that defined her.
Bo-Katan Kryze, a warrior tested by time and conflict, had always presented a facade of unyielding strength. Yet, Din understood that beneath that exterior lay a well of emotions, a history marked by loss and a future burdened with responsibility. He admired her for it, for her ability to carry on despite the odds, to fight for what she believed in.
"I will serve you until your song is written, Lady Kryze."
As he held her, pulling her closer to his chest, Din remembered the vow he made to her, to offer support in whatever form she needed, and he was glad that she heard him. He knew the path ahead would not be easy, but he was determined to help lighten her load, to stand by her side through the trials to come. No matter what.
Amid these reflections, Din suddenly felt a change in Bo-Katan's posture. Her body, which had been leaning into his embrace, suddenly went limp. Her hand that had been gripping his arm began to slip and fall rather fast, and her head was thrown back landing on his pauldron with a loud thunk.
This is definitely unusual, and it scared him.
Alarmed, he tightened his grip, his senses immediately on high alert. "Bo?" he called out, his voice laced with concern, and quickly tried to turn her around. "Bo, what's wrong? Bo?"
He felt her collapsing in his arms, her head lolling like a rag doll, her strength seemingly drained in an instant. He quickly caught her torso before she could slip any further down. "Woaa, I got you." He adjusted his hold on her, "Bo? Can you hear me? Bo!" he shouted in alarm, shaking her to get a response from her but found none. She just lay limp in his arms as if sleeping in a dreamless sleep.
Din's mind raced, trying to understand what was happening. Was it the emotional weight of the moment, or something else?
Carefully, he lowered her to the ground, his eyes scanning her face for any sign of what might have caused this sudden collapse. Her eyes fluttered shut and her mouth hung open, breathing in and out rapidly.
Bo's face began to look paler than usual, how did her color just drop so fast? She was fine this morning.
But he remembered the Armorer's words when he first visited her in the Forge.
"She has been quite distant from us as of late. Perhaps even burned out. That state of mind is not to be brought to the ruling."
Grogu, sensing the urgency, hurried over, his wide eyes filled with worry as he catapulted to their side, "Bo?"
Din turned to the kid as he got closer, "Grogu, can you do anything to help her?" he asked, his tone indicating his reliance on the child's unique abilities. He had healed her before, surely he could do it again for this right?
He nodded. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, reached out his small hands towards Bo-Katan, attempting to use the Force to heal her. He closed his eyes, concentrating deeply, his brow furrowing to summon his abilities.
Din watched carefully, hope flickering in his eyes as Grogu tried to channel his Force powers. There is a hum surrounding them, he can feel it. Grogu is doing his best to use his abilities to help her.
However, after a few moments, it became clear that Grogu was struggling; his tiny face showed signs of strain and, eventually, a look of helplessness. He opened his eyes, looking up at Din, unable to hide his inability to heal her as his ears drooped sadly. "Buuu."
Seeing Grogu's unsuccessful attempt, Din's concern deepened. He patted his head, trying to tell him that he was not angry, "It's alright, kid. We'll get help."
Grogu nodded in concern and hopped to her chest, snuggling towards her, as if not wanting to leave her side. Not like he's going to leave her side either. "Buir."
Carefully, with a swift but careful motion, he scooped her up into his arms, her head lying on the space between his shoulder and neck. He can feel her red hair touching his helmet and her floral smell entering his air filter.
He made sure she was comfortable in his arms when he noticed something. She was alarmingly light, her usual aura of strength momentarily eclipsed by her vulnerable state. How could he not notice this when they were in Ming Po? When he hugged her in that lake and when he accompanied her home? How could he miss those little things?
Holding her securely, he cast a glance toward Grogu, "You hang tight, buddy."
"Uuum," Grogu nodded and fisted his tiny claws in Bo's flight suit.
As he began to move, Din's voice, firm yet tinged with concern, broke the silence. "Hang in there, Bo," he murmured close to her ear, though he knew she might not hear him. "Everything's going to be okay. I promise."
It wasn't long before people passing by noticed them. Especially seeing their leader unconscious.
Din looked at them all who were watching them curiously, some began to notice and sprinted towards them, "Help me!" he shouted, "Where is the emergency? Lady Kryze is sick!"
One of them pointed in a direction opposite the Memorial Shrine, where he could see a large ruin covered by a tent Din thanked him and he immediately jogged his way toward it. "Hang in there, Bo."
Arriving at the tent, Din's call for help cut through the buzz of the crowd. "I need help here! Lady Kryze is collapsed!" he shouted, his voice commanding attention. People turned, surprised by the sight of the armored figure cradling their unconscious leader.
In moments, several individuals rushed over, their expressions turning to concern as they assessed the situation. Instructions were quickly given, and aid was summoned.
They moved with swift efficiency, characteristic of their training and discipline. One of them, recognizing the urgency, brought over a medical bed, its design sleek yet functional, clearly intended for rapid response in critical situations.
Din carefully laid the woman he cares so much onto the bed, his movements gentle yet swift, ensuring she was secure and comfortable. The Mandalorians, clad in armor similar to Din's, worked together seamlessly, their actions coordinated and precise. They equipped the bed with various medical devices, initiating immediate preliminary care as they prepared to transport her to the emergency room.
Grogu, still cuddling on her chest, looking overwhelmed to see so many people surrounding him and her, cooed worriedly.
Din took the opportunity to swipe the kid, "Come on," he told him, "They are trying to heal her. Let's give them room, okay?" Grogu cooed nervously before gripping his arm.
Upon reaching the emergency room, the medical team swiftly maneuvered the bed inside, their movements a blur of efficiency. Din, filled with concern and a sense of helplessness, was stopped at the entrance by one of the medical staff as she held her hand in front of his face.
"You'll need to wait here," the staff member said, their voice firm yet not unkind.
"But she's not with anyone but me," he tried to reason even though he knew this was wrong. When did he become irrational
"I'll let you know the updates later, but in the meantime, please wait here sir," she said before entering the emergency room.
Din nodded, understanding the necessity but still reluctant to be separated from Bo. He stood just outside the emergency room, his posture tense, his gaze fixed on the door through which Bo had disappeared.
Grogu stayed close to him, looking up with wide, worried eyes.
"Don't worry, buddy," he bounced him in an attempt to calm him down, "everything will be alright. You'll see."
After he said that, he wondered….is he telling this to his son? Or himself?
Sorry for the long wait. I was in Japan, and work came up. Now I can write :) Hope you enjoyed it!
Now that the Hollywood strike is over, fingers crossed that in season 4 there will be DinBo! Dave did say that he made revisions, I hope that means that includes Bo in their adventures together.
Welp, we're going to have to see then. Have a nice holiday! See you in 2024!
