Luau

That night, like every other night in a Hawaiian resort, there was a luau. We all opted to get the experience and sat front and center on the stage for a greater shot at the ambiance. To one side of the table, Emma sat with the kids; on the other, sitting between her and Dottie was Ruby, who couldn't stop staring at either woman at her side. Then I sat across from Emma. The dancers began, with beautiful native women dancing alongside fire dancers. Emma got distracted by some of the fire dancers, and one particularly delicious hula dancer.

Well, I certainly shouldn't assume she is as straight as she seemed. She seemed annoyed when Ruby blocked her view of the said dancer. I couldn't stop staring at her myself. There was a lot of spying on the dancers, and I watched Emma watch them. Dorothy cleared her throat and started the conversation. "So we're here to get to know each other better, so um Inga, let's start with you. What line of work are you in?"

"Um, well… I'm in sheep."

"Sheep?" I pursed my lips, knowing that Ruby was going to have to explain that whole situation.

"Uh yes… You know, uh, manufacturing with wool and things like that. I spend a lot of time overseas in New Zealand and Scotland."

"Oh cool, like you make UGGs?"

"No…"

"I don't understand."

"She sells the sheep. Distributes them to buyers," I answered.

Dorothy looked at me in surprise, then at Emma and back to Ruby, seemingly amused, as if she understood that I would want to know what my rival did. "What do people do with these sheep?"

"I don't think I'd want to know," Emma mumbled to herself. I almost laughed.

"Oh yeah, zey get all different kinds from my interweb site," Ruby states in her awful accent. " ."

"Oh my god," Emma stated and stopped a passing waiter. She grabbed the pitcher from him and said, "Just keep them coming."

"Ve don't sell ze ugly ones," Ruby continued, oblivious, trying to get my girl to react. "Zee people, they look at zee sheep and they pick zee one they want. A stylish one or sassy or shy."

I hid my mouth behind my hand at the stupidity that came out of her mouth. "I think that's enough of Inga now," I said.

"Babe, don't be rude," Dottie said, turning more of her attention to Ruby. "Tell me what do people do with these sheep."

"Vatever they want. Pets, companions, fight clubs."

"Fight clubs?" Emma states confused.

"Yes… Lily bought sheep from me… Zats how we met," Ruby said, and Emma's eyes went to me in alarm.

"Why?" Dorothy asked wide-eyed.

"To use zee pelt during the sex. She taught me this fetish," Ruby said.

"Oh my god!" Emma said, covering Hope's ears.

"I love your sex so much," Ruby said, leaning forward as if to kiss Emma. Emma reached forward and tweaked Ruby's nipple I worked so hard for.

"Ah!" Ruby said, jumping back. "I just finished paying for that!"

"That's our other fetish," Emma growls. Then she looks at me. "Regina, you want to come help me get milk for the kids, please?"

"Uh… Yeah," I said and followed behind her angry steps.

"That's it, we are leaving, I am so done with that woman!" she yelled.

"Come on, I haven't had a chance to relax yet. Give it a day," I pleaded. "Don't bail on me now."

"No, I'm through with her and all of the lies-"

As we walked away from our table, I heard someone shout. "Emma! Emma Swan?"

Emma turned and groaned. "Oh, Lily Page… Oh my god."

I looked at her in shock and back at the fast-approaching woman. "Lily Lily? As in taking a-?"

"Mmhm," Emma said and stopped, turning to face her with a fake smile. "Oh my god Hi!"

Lily finally reached us and she took Emma in her arms. "I can't believe it, both of us here at the same time." She looked Emma over as if to assess the validity of her being here. I hated her instantly and stepped closer. "I didn't know you went to places like these."

"Of course not," Emma mumbled keeping her mouth firmly shut. Then Lily took Emma's hand and pulled her to a cabana well away from our table. Thank god.

I trailed behind as the woman continued to show off to Emma. "Honey," Lily turned back to a man. Her partner, I assume. He was good-looking. Kind of Emma's type. Tall, dark-haired, blue-eyed, dazzling smile kind of perfect. "I want you to meet someone. This is one of my best friends from my school days, Emma Swan." Then she wrapped herself around her husband's arm as if he were a flight risk. "Emma, this is my husband Killian Jones. You might have heard of him; he invented Reddit." Bullshit.

Emma pretended to be impressed. "Oh wow, Reddit. Very cool."

"The idea just came to me in the shower," he said with a lilting Irish accent. I could almost see Emma swoon. "A shower I was taking with Lily."

Emma looked around, looking for a way to steer the conversation to something else, I could tell. "Wow, this is the cabana you got yourselves, wow."

"Yes well, you know my skin is so pale, I don't want to get burned."

Emma's forehead furrowed. "Really? Even at night?"

"Well, you know, it's Hawaii and the sun is very strong."

"You mean kind of like a moonburn?" Emma said bemused.

I rolled my eyes at the fact that she really just wanted to brag about the fact that she got a Cabana. I could get us a cabana tomorrow. "Oh… kay."

Lily smirked and looked over at Emma. "Well, aren't you a looker? So glad you got your teeth fixed. And you're wearing contacts! Or did you do Lasik?"

I looked at Emma then. Emma is perfection. I let my eyes linger on the form of her body. I almost missed the response Emma gave. "Aren't you just the same."

"Thank you!" Lily said, taking the comment as a compliment. "It's so weird that we had to come all the way to Hawaii to meet again. Why did we fall out of touch?"

Emma shrugged. "Oh, you know… It's a mystery."

"Well, We must catch up," Lily said, following as Emma ever so subtly stepped away. "I have been an influencer for the past few years, building this huge beauty empire, and now I'm ready to sell just waiting for the right offers." She looks around Emma. "I don't have kids yet, but we took this vacation to start trying."

"Oh yeah. Creating a life." Killian added.

"That's great for you Lil'" Emma said and turned to keep walking, but Lily took her hand.

"How long are you here for Emma?" she asked; I lingered on that hand, thinking about how right Emma was to think Lily was a twat. I was standing here witnessing all of this. And she hadn't even bothered to find out more about the woman she was throwing all of this information at. As if she just wanted to bludgeon Emma with her good fortune.

"Actually, I was just getting to-" Emma started but got interrupted.

"Oh my god! I ran into Ashley, last week she is already divorced and has a child." Lily paused. "A shame, she was gorgeous. Are you married?"

"Uh.." Emma said looking at the ground. Her eyes spotted my sandals. "Yeah, I am."

Lily's eyes went wide as if she couldn't believe what was happening. "Oh?"

"I am being so rude," Emma said and turned to look me in the eye. Of course, I'd do this for her, but I had to give her a hard time. I already hated that piece of Lily. "Babe, This is Lily, an old friend."

"She doesn't sound like a friend," I muttered putting my face really close to hers. She nipped at my nose as if to say, just go with it.

Lily's eyes appraised me as if for the first time. "Lily, this is my wife, Dr. Regina Mills."

"I. What" Lily said as Emma pulled me closer and nuzzled in my ear.

"I will keep doing your thing if you just go with this," she whispered. I smirked and placed my hand in places I had only dreamed of before.

"Lily, Hi…" I said reaching a hand out to her. "We were just talking about you the other day in the bathroom."

Emma snorted against my shoulder and then gave the bare skin there a kiss. "Well, I didn't know you were into women… and What a woman… I guess I am not surprised with how loose you used to be at school."

Did she just call my wife a whore? I glared at the woman. "Well… If she didn't do boys we wouldn't have our children, so…"

"Oh, You have kids too?" she said in surprise.

"Well, ah… Regina is it? What field of medicine are you in?" Killian asked,

"She's a Plastic surgeon… The plastic surgeon according to Forbes Magazine." Oh, youch she knows my net worth.

I smiled. "Where do you practice? Connecticut?" The twat asked.

"Boston, and New York," I answered. "Some consultations in LA"

"Well, it's been fun, but babe, we need to get back to the kids," Emma said pulling me away again.

"How old?" we paused and looked at her. "How old are your kids?"

"Twelve and Four," I stated. "They are perfectly spaced out for a lesbian couple. One of each, our family is complete."

Yeah,, I can be petty too.

"Twelve years… You've been together a long time." Lily said shocked.

"Yeah, we have," Emma said and smiled at me. It was almost tender, and she leaned closer to me, very romantically. She placed her forehead on mine. I wanted to close the distance and kiss her. And this is where my resolve for Dorothy began to show me I was settling.

"She still gets my motor running," I said with a smirk. She laughed and gave me a peck on the cheek.

"Well, the four of us should have a double date." Lily insisted.

"Sure, if we can ever get out of the bedroom," Emma stated pulling away and holding my hand. Shooting me a playful bite.

"Emma Swan, look at you!" Lily teased.

"It's Swan-Mills," I stated, letting myself be pulled away. I walked with her away so that we could discuss everything that just happened.

"She was nice," I teased.

"Oh, shut up," Emma grumped.

"What was that? Why are we fake married now; we're supposed to be fake divorced."

"Because she's successful and married to someone even more successful and I am divorced with two kids, and I work as an assistant to you," Emma answered and threw her arms wide open. "I don't want her judging me!"

I smirked, "Oh so you need me now?'

"Yes," Emma answered, hating every moment of this.

"How does it feel to need my help?" I asked.

"Have you ever slammed a car door on your soul?" She asked. "It feels something like that." And she walked away from me.

"Fine fine… I will be a stellar spouse, but now that we are helping each other out. Can you act happier, you're in Hawaii for free." I said, realizing that she hadn't been getting anything she wanted out of this until this moment. "Act like you enjoy it."

"Fine," she said making her way back to our table.

"Fine?" I asked

"I am going to love it," she said and smiled at me.

"Start now!" I demanded with a grin.

"On it!" She said in return as we neared the table.

"Wow."

Whee!"

I laugh shaking my head. "I am going to need index cards for all the lies we are telling."

"Make me some copies too." She answered and sat down next to Hope who looked supper tuckered out.
