Sam ran a good few miles until he was sure that hewas out of sight of the facility. That is until he fell into a small ditch suddenly.
"Ahhhh", Sam yelled as he fell.
Sam wiped his brow and looked up at the sky.
"Grim, if you can hear me I need backup and Briggs is dead", Sam said into his radio as he checked himself for broken bones.
Meanwhile on the Palladin Grim and Charlie as well as Kobin wondered what was going on with Sam and Briggs.
"What happened to the commlink", Grim asked Charlie.
"I think the bad guys have a jammer set up somewhere in the facility", Charlie replied.
Suddenly Grim overheard some static coming over the radio.
"Wait a minute. Charlie, see if you can clear this up", Grim ordered.
Charlie managed to clear up the signal enough for them to understand it more easily.
"Grim, if you can hear this I need backup and Briggs is dead", Sam's voice flickered over the radio.
"Damn, I am pulling him out it's too dangerous to leave him down there", Grim said.
"We can't do that until Sam disables the jammer", Charlie indicated.
Grim knew that he was right as she slammed her hands down on her desk.
Suddenly an alarm went off throughout Palladin warning them of another air ship coming toward them.
"Who are they", Grim asked as she stared at the radar.
"According to their codes that ship is known as the Nomad. The ships is owned by a US Army Colonel Roy Campbell", Charlie announced.
Just then another voice came over the radio.
"I am Colonel Roy Campbell of the Nomad. The CIA has sent me as your support", Campbell said over the radio.
"Thank you guys for coming we could use some help for our man on the ground", Grim admitted.
"I have a man ready to lend you support standby", Campbell replied over the radio as he signed off.
Meanwhile aboard the Nomad Campbell looked for Snake.
"Hal, where is Snake", Campbell asked Otacon.
"Beats me. That guy has a nasty habit of keeping people waiting", Otacon laughed.
"Kept you waiting huh", Snake said as he appeared from out of the bathroom.
"Snake, now is not the time for jokes suit up", Campbell ordered.
Snake knew that Campbell was still on edge since he found out that Meryl was being held hostage at the facility by Ocelot!
Snake put on his old octocamo suit and tied on his legendary bandana onto his head. Otacon helped Snake put on his vest.
"Here Snake I think you could use this again", Otacon said as he handed Snake his old Solid eye.
Snake fastened the solid eye to his right eye as Otacon and Drebin laid out all of Snake's gear.
"I got you that M4 carbine you like. Along with a 45 operator handgun as well as a tranquilizer gun", Drebin announced as he laid down all of the guns.
"Thank you", Snake said as he packed his gear into his pack.
"You're going to have halo in and land by parachute", Campbell said.
"Understood Colonel", Snake replied as the pilot opened the cargo bay doors.
"I still would loved to know how Ocelot survived Fox die", Snake thought to himself as he jumped out of the Nomad.
Meanwhile back on the ground Sam crawled out of the ditch. But when Sam looked up at the sky he saw two military helicopters flying over his head.
"Is that supposed to be my backup", Sam asked himself as he heard footsteps approaching him.
Sam quickly turned around to see X coming right at him.
"Oh come on don't you ever quit", Sam said as he shot at X.
"Get out of the way", a voice yelled as Sam jumped to avoid getting hi by X.
Just then someone fired a rocket launcher right at X and blew him to pieces. Sam looked around to see a man with red hair walking toward him. Sam, on instinct aimed his gun right at the man in question.
"Hold it right there", Sam shouted at the man.
"Now is that anyway to treat the guy who just saved your ass", the man said as he dropped the smoking rocket launcher from his hands.
"Who are you", Sam asked.
"Barry Burton BSAA", Barry said as he showed Sam his badge.
Sam got to his feet and quickly inspected Barry's credentials. Barry put his badge away after Sam gave him the okay.
"Now you care to tell me who you are", Barry questioned.
"Sam Fisher fourth echelon", Sam replied.
"Well it looks like you're with me now Fisher let's go", Barry ordered.
Suddenly another man came up.
"Nice shot Barry. Who's your new friend", the man asked as Sam realized that he was wearing the same uniform Barry had on.
"This is Sam Fisher of fourth echelon whatever that means", Barry replied.
"It means that he's one of the good guys Barry", the other man laughed.
"Fisher this is my boss Chris Redfield of the BSAA", Barry announced.
"Nice to meet you Fisher I heard quite a bit about you from Lambert", Chris admitted as he shook Sam's hand.
"You knew Lambert", Sam asked strangely.
"I met him in Washington several years back when the president was giving us some chest candy", Chris laughed at his own joke.
Suddenly Chris straightened up and got more serious.
"I am sorry that he was killed by the JBA", Chris added.
"Follow me gentlemen we still got some work to do", Chris said as they all moved off.
"So why are you guys here", Sam asked as they walked.
Barry looked at Sam with a hard look.
"We got some credible Intel from the IPCA informing us that a terrorist organization known as NEO had been developing a dangerous bio weapon at this facility. Unfortunately they lost contact with Gabe after they sent him here to get some answers. So they called us at the BSAA, you guys at the NSA. As well as the CIA, secret service and FBI", Chris explained.
"Any idea who's behind all of this", Sam asked.
Chris just smirked as Barry shook his head.
"You mean to say that fourth echelon doesn't know? You guys don't know who Albert Wesker is", Barry remarked.
"We know who he is. Albert Wesker was my Captain on the police force back in Raccoon city. Turned out that he was actually working for umbrella. You see, in Raccoon city umbrella was experimenting with a bio weapon called the T virus. Needless to say that virus infected the whole city and the government nuked it right off the map to bury the truth and stop the virus from spreading", Chris explained.
"That is how the BSAA was formed to prevent such things from ever happening again", Barry added.
"The t virus can turn people into zombies, monsters or even super freaks like Wesker himself", Chris elaborated.
THE team slowly headed back to the facility.
Meanwhile Snake landed safely on the ground as he removed his halo gear from his body.
"This is Snake I am at the sneak point or close to it", Snake said into his codec.
"I read you loud and clear Snake. Any problems so far keep in mind you're not that young anymore", Otacon replied over the codec.
"Gee thanks for reminding me. The stealth camo is busted landing impact", Snake said.
"You must have overused it sorry but you will have to deal with it for now", Otacon responded.
"Does anyone know how Ocelot survived foxdie", Snake asked.
"Maybe it's just some impostor or maybe a clone", Otacon answered.
"Well I guess there is only one way to find out. I am going in", Snake added.
"Remember Snake call us if anything happens", Campbell said over the codec.
"Roger that", Snake replied as he signed off.
Snake grabbed his M4 and moved onward slowly until he heard a noise from behind himself. Snake quickly turned around.
"Freeze", Snake shouted.
"Don't shoot I'm secret service", Leon said as he showed Snake his badge.
"Secret service", Snake asked.
"Yeah who are you with", Leon asked.
"CIA", Snake lied.
"Mind if I tag along with you after all we are after the same thing", Leon suggested.
Snake looked at the man in front of him and somehow he was reminded of Raiden.
"You remind me of someone I know. Sure we can work together", Snake said as Leon took a good look at him.
"You seem a bit old for field work my friend", Leon said as he patted him on the back.
"Well don't let the gray hair fool you", Snake laughed.
"If you say so by the way what's your name", Leon asked.
"David, but my code name is Snake", Snake replied as he followed Leon.
After a half hour of walking Leon and Snake heard a big noise from close by.
"SNAKE", an inhuman voice shouted suddenly.
Leon started to shake.
"Oh shit Dave. We need to get out of here now follow me", Leon said as he bolted off.
"What's going on", Snake asked as he watched him leave him behind.
"Damn he runs fast", Snake thought to himself.
Snake tried to follow Leon until he heard a voice cry out to him.
"Well if it isn't the famous Solid Snake", Wesker announced as he appeared suddenly.
Snake pointed his gun at him.
"How do you know me", Snake asked.
"I learned A lot about you from my dear friend Ocelot", Wesker laughed.
Wesker reminded Snake of Liquid in an uncanny way.
"And your brother Eli", Wesker laughed as another man appeared.
Snake could not believe what his eyes were seeing.
"LIQUID", Snake said as he appeared.
"Yes brother it is I. I have missed you but be warned I am not the same as I was back at Shadow Moses", Liquid laughed.
"How are you still alive", Snake wondered.
"Albert here has given me and our brothers a second chance at life", Liquid laughed again.
"Brothers you mean", Snake gasped.
"Why yes the Genome Army lives and breathes once more. All thanks to NEO and Albert here", Liquid explained.
Snake shot at Liquid but missed as he somehow dodges it and before Snake could retort Liquid charged at Snake like a speeding bullet. Liquid then stabbed Snake in the arm with a knife and threw him down on the ground.
"How did you", Snake asked.
"It is the work of the t virus Snake", Wesker interrupted.
Liquid was about to finish Snake off when Ocelot suddenly appeared as well.
"Perhaps we can use him", Ocelot said as Liquid stopped.
"Let's see how he fares against the nemesis he is on his way", Wesker suggested as Liquid smiled.
"Good idea", Liquid said as they all left Snake on the ground.
"The nemesis", Snake thought to himself.
Snake pulled the knife out of his arm as he tried to get up and saw a huge creature coming toward him.
"SNAKE", the creature said.
Snake tried to run from the monster who looked horribly disfigured. But Snake pulled a hammy and fell to the ground as the nemesis scooped him up.
"OTACON", Snake screamed as the nemesis bit off Snake's head.
"Snake", The nemesis said as he walked away.
