Epilogue

Everything turned out pretty well for everyone in the end. The kids got to swim with the dolphins, and Dorothy and Ruby hit it off very nicely, starting to go out when we got back home.

As for me, I'm finally wearing my wedding ring for real. Now, when women ask me about it, I can proudly tell them that I am married to the love of my life and have a beautiful family.

As I watch my wife at our wedding reception, dancing with our children and my parents, I can't help but reflect on the final push to get us where we are. I will forever be grateful to Dorothy for bringing us here.

Emma floated toward me in her simple white dress. She took my hands in hers and pulled me to my feet. "Would you like to dance with your wife, Dr. Mills?"

"I would love to dance with my wife," I said, standing and following her to the dance floor.

As the music played, and we swayed together, I couldn't help but feel a sense of completeness. The journey had been long, with its share of twists and turns, but it had led me to this moment – dancing with Emma, my wife. Our eyes locked, and in that shared gaze, we communicated a depth of understanding and love that words could never fully capture.

Emma smiled, and I couldn't resist pulling her closer. "You know, Mills, I never thought I'd see the day when you'd be someone's wife."

I chuckled, reveling in the warmth of the moment. "Life is full of surprises, Swan. And you, of all people, should know that."

She grinned, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Well, I'm glad I could be a part of this surprising journey of yours. And I must say, you make a stunning bride."

I leaned in, capturing her lips in a sweet kiss. The world around us faded, and it was just us, lost in the magic of the music and the promise of forever. As we swirled around the dance floor, I couldn't help but feel a profound sense of gratitude for the unexpected turns that led me to Emma – my partner, my confidante, and now, my wife.
