A/N: Merry Christmas! I totally meant for my update day to line up like this. Yep, this wasn't an accident at all. Thankfully, I managed to edit this in time and cook an entire Christmas dinner in the same day. I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season and is enjoying your day. This is my present to you!

"Remember, try and think of your mind as a tangible entity. Thoughts and emotion: imagine them as a solid mass at the center of your brain and try to inflate that shape beyond the confines of your physical form." Glynda's voice echoed over Jaune's shoulder, calm and soothing. "It's real, it's energy. It's yours to control if your will is strong enough. Now, command that same energy to wrap around the ball in front of you and lift it off the ground."
It had been a few days since the nightmare that was Forever Fall Forest. The first day that they'd been able to meet up and test his newfound capabilities. Jaune had wanted to test his new limits right away, but Glynda had insisted that he visit the school nurse before anything else. Him and the whole of Team CRDL not far behind.
It was the right decision, even if Jaune had been reticent about anything that remotely resembled doctors or hospitals. And to make matters worse, it turned out to be the right call. A quick X-ray had revealed two cracked ribs, proving the blond's earlier suspicions. And dooming the rest of his day to a hospital bed while an I.V. pumped aura boosters directly into his veins.
Not that he had a lot of room to complain. Cardin and his lot were in much worse shape, and he'd gotten a front row to their treatments. Not to mention, he'd been the only one allowed to leave in the evening, albeit, only under the insistence and guardianship of the deputy headmistress who promised the nurse that her husband would be closely observed until his aura returned to healthy levels.
Glynda had been true to her word. The last few days had been reserved for rest, and rest alone. One of his wives had always been by his side, keeping him in bed and away from straining himself even slightly. Never mind that he'd been perfectly capable of feeding and bathing himself. The two women had taken no small amount of pleasure in babying him until he was finally deemed healthy enough by their standards to return to classes and training.
Back in their clearing, back before the red stress ball, Jaune did as he'd been told. Except this time, as he imagined the invisible hand closing around the soft shape, Jaune was gratified when it rose off the grass without issue. It was a moment that deserved celebration. What they had spent the last few weeks trying to accomplish.
Instead, Pyrrha's voice immediately drifted over his other shoulder, "Now feel the metal, Jaune." her voice brushed his earlobe. "They're empty. A blank slate waiting for you to influence. Give the pipe direction and pull it toward you. Use your shield as a magnet."
Jaune's eyebrows curled together as he focused. After a pause, stability and reliability gave way to love and warmth as he forced his connection to Glynda to fade and make room for Pyrrha. The ring on his hand signaled when he had succeeded, purple fading so that green could light up as his first wife's gem awoke.
It wasn't instantaneous. As much as Jaune cared about them both, it took a few seconds to tune to each woman, as the blond had come to think of it. Tapping into their individual connections, he needed to frame them in his mind. Their faces, voices, and how they "felt," for lack of a better word.
In Pyrrha's case, this meant love and comfort, both of which she had showered on him from the moment they met. In comparison, Glynda's mental construct felt more…rigid, but in a good way. If Pyrrha was the soft bed he looked forward to at the end of the day, Glynda was the strong walls that kept their roof from falling on top of them.
None of which was to say that he didn't feel love or comfort toward Glynda or that Pyrrha wasn't reliable. They were both multifaceted women who made him feel an entire range of emotions on any given day. But at their cores, these were the traits he found himself relying on them for, and this categorization appeared to help him summon their powers faster.
It might not be as romantic or flattering as what he saw in Pyrrha, but Jaune wasn't stupid enough to care about Glynda any less for it. A relationship needed more than just love to survive, and that was what his older wife provided. Practicality. Experience. And an unbiased view of the world to help their family navigate the future.
Taking a slow breath, Jaune was grateful when he finally felt his metal-sense awaken. It took a few more seconds than the young man had been trying for, but this was just a test to make sure he could summon both his wives' powers at will. Hopefully, with some more repetition, he would get faster in addition to more practiced with their individual abilities.
Suddenly, all the metal in the clearing pinged like his brain had developed a very specific radar. He could feel his armor, Pyrrha's, and even a small flicker from Glynda's professional wear. Excited, he buried his smile under a mask of concentration before either bride could notice the change.
Pyrrha and Glynda watched silently, oblivious to their husband's machinations. Instead, their eyes were trained on the steel pipe resting five feet in front of the blond. It shouldn't have been too hard for him. Jaune had already proven a stumbling success toward their respective semblances. But the longer they stood there, the more they began to worry that he might not be as proficient as they had assumed.
Glynda considered stepping forward to ask what he was struggling with when she noticed a strange nudging between her shoulder blades. Raising an eyebrow, she didn't even get to turn around before two things happened at once. First, her bra inexplicably came undone. And second, the topmost button of her blouse tore itself from her throat, shooting away from her like it had been fired from a rifle.
The now free weight of her sizable chest immediately pressed against the open gap the professor normally wore so professionally. As a result, the elegant peek at her collar became a gratuitous display of her cleavage. It was exactly the effect Jaune had been hoping for. And staring over his shoulder, he didn't bother to hide his grin as if he hadn't already seen his professor's breasts a dozen times by that point.
Glynda was less impressed, staring down at the top of her chest with muted irritation aimed at her child of a husband. Regarding him with her coolest stare, the young man answered her with a waggle of his eyebrows that should have incited her further. Instead, she hated how quickly her negativity left her, somehow finding the display endearing.
"Did you have to tear the button?" She sighed patiently.
Jaune had the decency to wince before admitting, "Yeah, I didn't mean to pull that hard. Looks like my control isn't as good as I thought."
"That will come with time," Pyrrha nodded, peeking at Glynda's exposed flesh for the appropriate amount of time before focusing. "You just need to keep practicing, and eventually you'll be able to do things like this…" Waving her hand, Jaune and Glynda watched as the pipe he had been meant to pull toward him suddenly levitated into the air, almost like it was Glynda's semblance.
Jaune couldn't help being impressed. "How are you doing that?" Still attached to her semblance, he could feel her influence on the metal. But it wasn't push or pull alone that achieved the effect. Instead, it felt like a kaleidoscope of each in a constant flux of movement around the object.
"I have metal threaded throughout my armor," Pyrrha proudly explained. "What you see is a perfect balance of polarity, allowing me to manipulate outside metal through the magnetic fields I produce through the wire around my fingers. This should be what you're striving toward—until the additional sense of my semblance feels like second nature and the metal around you is little more than an extension of your body."
Suddenly, his little trick with Glynda's underwear didn't feel nearly as impressive. And as if he wasn't feeling outclassed enough, his blonde wife chose that moment to show off her own power. With a click of metal peeling off metal, Jaune watched the small brass button he'd collected peel off his shield to float back toward his wife. But her semblance didn't stop there, somehow precise and dexterous enough to sew it back into place with the loose string alone.
"Yeah…" Jaune looked between the two proud women, "guess I have a long way to go, huh?"
Seeing his dejection, Glynda felt the need to remind him, "Remember, we've had most of our lives to learn our semblances, Jaune. And Pyrrha is nothing short of a prodigy, even amongst the gifted criteria of Beacon students. Meanwhile, you have the mountainous task of learning two foreign powers in addition to understanding the fine-tuning of your own mysterious semblance."
Jaune nodded, silently lamenting how he'd accidentally stumbled into two very technical semblances. "Yeah," he snorted, "don't get me wrong, I'm so relieved we've even gotten this far. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't wish one of you came with something simple like super strength or laser blasts." Oh, the dream.
But Glynda shook her head, seeing her and Pyrrha's semblances in a different light. "I think you're quite lucky to have two semblances that balance each other so well." And seeing her husband's confusion, she continued, "Jaune, while my semblance is quite powerful against Grimm and my environment, it's next to useless against other Huntsmen unless I throw something at them. Unfortunately, aura interferes with my telekinesis."
"Really?" Jaune blinked, surprised at such a glaring weakness.
Glynda merely nodded, casually drawing her riding crop to point its keeper toward a fallen log at the edge of the clearing. The wood was old and rotting but still clearly heavy by the size of it. And yet the two teenagers watched the older woman lift its mass as easily as she had threaded her blouse. Demonstration completed, she lowered it back toward its damp bed of tall grass before returning her attention to the seated blond.
"I've lifted steel pillars before, Jaune. And the last time I pushed myself, I was able to juggle over one hundred objects individually. If I could influence the human body, it wouldn't be fair to call it a fight. I would be able to crush their windpipes with a thought, if not snap their necks outright. But that is what makes Pyrrha's semblance so complimentary."
Pyrrha nodded, taking her cue to step forward. "That's right, Jaune. If Glynda's semblance is powerful against Grimm but weak against huntsmen, mine could very easily be recognized as the opposite. Polarity might help me better control my own weapons and limbs in the middle of combat, but I can't influence Grimm directly. But against huntsmen, almost every tool in our arsenal is metal. Armor, weapons, and ammunition can be used to work against them, subtly or overtly. It is not an understatement to suggest that, even were I not so physically capable, my semblance would have won me just as many tournaments if I allowed myself to exploit it against my opponents."
Looking between the two women first, Jaune's attention eventually strayed toward his ring finger as he recognized what they were saying. Both semblances might be complicated, but he could have a deadly weapon once they were honed. One against Grimm and another against huntsmen. And depending on how long it took him to carve out even a fraction of their proficiency, that was insanely useful.
And Jaune was right. He did have two very powerful semblances at his disposal. However, he was sorely mistaken if he thought they would be enough. And Glynda stepped forward to say as much.
"Jaune," she started, correcting her glasses as she stared down at his upturned curiosity. "Now that we better understand your power and how much it can benefit us, I think it's time we started talking about what kind of women we should be looking for to join us." Jaune didn't agree if his sudden horror at the suggestion was any indication. But Pyrrha brightened with a smile at the idea, nodding along like she had just been thinking the same thing.
"Don't act so surprised," Glynda chided him. "We've already told you that we don't mind if you introduce more women into our marriage. If anything, we may want it more than you do." And since Jaune didn't want it at all, that sounded very plausible. "We need to be smart about this. Possibly strategize on what kind of hunter you're aiming to be and plan your wives around that."
Somehow, Jaune's expression didn't brighten at the idea. Glynda pushed on, regardless. "Obviously, any amount of aura they can add to our pool will be helpful. But depending on their semblance, it might be the difference between life and death, considering all the situations you could find yourself in."
Jaune finally had enough and felt like he had to speak up. "But," he struggled to find the words, "do we really need to talk about that now? I mean, I just don't see the rush. It's not like I have to use all the rings before the year ends. Heck, who says I even need to get married again before graduation?" And in a truly desperate bid, he shot the two women with a smile that was more anxious than charismatic. "I mean, wouldn't you two rather keep me for yourselves a little longer? "
Glancing at each other momentarily, Pyrrha and Glynda shot him a pitying look before they bent down to join him on the grass. The blonde pulled his hand into her lap while the younger woman leaned over to kiss him on his cheek.
"Of course we enjoy the time we spend with you, Jaune," Pyrrha answered, soothing his fears as their gaze connected.
Glynda continued, urging his face in her direction as her thumb swept across his knuckles. "But the sooner you marry, the safer the rest of us will be. Forever fall was a close call. We thought you were dead. I can't describe how much that scared us.".
It was the lowest of blows his wives could make, and they likely knew it. Jaune couldn't argue against that, as he belligerently sulked. He'd only worried them because he was still weak. And it was true that more women would make him more powerful. If the situation were reversed and they were constantly in trouble, he would want his wives to do anything in their power to protect themselves. However…
"Can I at least try and meet them a little more naturally?" Jaune sighed, struggling for any kind of compromise. "I wouldn't change how things turned out for the world, but it would have been nice if I could have gotten to know both of you more than a day before proposing. And now it sounds like you guys want to pick my next wife for me."
On one hand, he wouldn't need to worry about them getting along, which was nice. But he still felt like he should have some say in who he shared the rest of his life with.
And yet, Glynda didn't look like she agreed, holding her immediate reply behind her pinched lips. Telling Jaune what to do would be so much simpler. But given their age difference, it would be too easy to hold her experience and knowledge over the young man to bully him into compliance. Marriage was a partnership, and sometimes compromise was required. Glynda did her best to see his point of view before answering.
"How about this," Glynda breathed the words, "my main concern is the approaching Vytal festival. The best fighters from each prospective Kingdom will be flying in to compete, which will present a unique opportunity for our family."
Jaune nodded along, somewhat confused. What, was she expecting him to compete? To win? Because that didn't sound like a great excuse to rush into three more brides in just a few months. Or maybe she thought he would have a better chance of picking up women as the tournament winner.
It took too long for the young man to realize that the opportunity his wife was talking about was the fighters themselves.
Glynda continued after seeing the spark of recognition flash behind his blue orbs. "More than a few will have powerful semblances that you could use. That our family could use. My position under Ozpin means I'll have access to the records of every student chosen by their schools to participate. That means we will be able to see their grades, aura levels, psychology records, and their semblances if they've been discovered. We could quite literally have the pick of the litter and claim those we feel would best suit us."
Jaune didn't blink a single time that she spoke. And as the implications of her suggestion registered, he didn't even notice the irritation of his drying eyes. "You want me to…pick women out of a catalog?"
Glynda stared back at him, unfazed. "Nothing so impersonal. Think of it more as a helpful guide. If we can find a woman who meets our criteria and you find attractive, then you can move forward and approach her. With any luck, she'll be compatible with you and us." Not that Glynda was especially worried about the last part.
'Okay, so not quite as bad as I was thinking,' Jaune breathed a small sigh of relief. Emphasis on small. "I think you're both putting a lot of faith in my ability to attract women." But of course, how could these two possibly think for a second that anyone could resist falling in love with their husband when he had captured their hearts so successfully.
"Nonsense!" Pyrrha gasped, grabbing his shoulder in a hug. Her cheek pressed against his as she grinned. "How could anyone resist a face this cute? They would be lucky to meet a man as wonderful as you."
Glynda wasn't quite as emphatic but agreed nevertheless. "Agreed. You're both conventionally attractive and emotionally literate. With my and Pyrrha's help, I see no reason that you would have trouble attracting any woman of your choice beyond the limits you yourself place.
Jaune's eyebrows drew together. Being with his wives had certainly helped his confidence, but he couldn't deny that he still tended to get in his own way. "And you think other women will be half as excited to share me with two other women?" And as if that wasn't enough, his tone peeked as he added, "With more on the way?!"
At this, Glynda felt less confident but hid the flinch well. "That…will be a hurdle, unfortunately. But in the worst-case scenario, the effect of your semblance should wash away any initial concerns they might have had. If they want to be with you, and you them, I fail to see why the presence of a few other women have to get in the way."
Jaune still frowned although he recognized her logic, unsure if he was comfortable with the conclusion. Could he really use his ring on a girl, knowing it would change something she was opposed to? It wasn't like they would be strangers by that point.
Conflicted, he shook his head, looking between his wives with a pleading grimace. "Look, we don't need to talk about this now, do we?" He gave a humorless laugh. "The Vytal Festival is still months away."
"A little over two," Glynda confirmed, "Although some people usually begin showing up a week or so before that.
'Two months!' Jaune nearly gasped with relief.
"You see?" he grinned manically, "We've got plenty of time. Let's set this aside for now and worry about it when the time comes. And in the meantime, I can focus on the girls that really matter to me." Reaching out, he wrapped his arms around their shoulders and pulled them close. "And if I remember right, one of you has requested a long overdue date this afternoon?"
It was a blatant attempt at changing the subject. But that didn't stop it from working! Grinning with her teeth, Pyrrha's eyes lit up at the reminder. And she was more than happy to let the current topic go, kissing him quickly. "I'm going to run ahead to shower and get changed," she announced before jumping excitedly to her feet. "Can we meet in front of the dorms around noon?" The redhead was practically vibrating.
Jaune stood up to answer, matching her kiss with his own. "Whatever you want. This is your day."
If it was possible, Pyrrha would have melted even further at the romantic gesture. Instead, she made a show of connecting their hands and letting their limbs swing between them as she spoke, "I love you, Jaune."
Jaune smiled back, unable to stop himself from peeking at Glynda. But if he was expecting the older woman to be upset or jealous that her sister-wife had received those three words when she hadn't, Jaune was pleasantly surprised. Instead, she watched the pair with the same indulgent patience she normally offered whenever their young passions were boiling over. And if Glynda wasn't bothered, he decided he wouldn't make a big deal about it either.
"I love you too," Jaune answered, chuckling at the satisfied twinkle in his wife's eyes. Practically swooning, she broke apart after a kiss on the cheek. Afterward, she turned the same affection on Glynda, who accepted the other woman's arms with minimal eye rolls.
"Enjoy your day," the older woman murmured, giving her student an indulgent pat on the back.
Pyrrha didn't linger after that, vanishing into the direction of the school. Watching her go, Jaune had to remind himself that they were still only going out for a trip into the city. But if it made her this happy, he wouldn't try and diminish that.
"We'll probably stay the night in the city," Jaune explained to his other wife, just in case she thought about waiting up for them. "Turns out that restaurant you recommended is attached to a hotel and I thought a night away would be a nice treat."
"Olympus Suites," Glynda confirmed, smiling as she nodded toward him. "Pyrrha will love it. I'm glad you two can go out and enjoy days like this."
Jaune raised an eyebrow. "You know, it's not too late if you want to change your mind about tomorrow. We could still go out, have some fun. Maybe get something to eat?"
But Glynda shook her head, firm in her wish for simplicity. "Pyrrha may have today, but I've got tomorrow. And if it's my day, then I want to enjoy it at home with the man I love. We can spend the whole day on the couch watching TV if it comes to it. So long as I can rest my head against your chest and enjoy time together as husband and wife."
Jaune shrugged his shoulders. "If that's what you want." Coming closer, his hands found the natural curves of her hips as he swept in for a kiss. They stayed connected like that for a time. Much longer than he'd gotten from Pyrrha before she ran off. The blonde professor eventually hummed with her own satisfaction before Jaune retreated. "I'll drop by tomorrow after me and Pyrrha get back?"
Resting her hand on his chest, Glynda nodded. "I still have my Sunday meeting but should return before noon. If not, feel free to use your scroll to get in. You should still have complete access to our dorm."
Patting his pocket, the young man was still slightly intimidated by the unexpected gift. But it wasn't like he could have made the excuse that it was too soon, and Glynda had insisted, reprimanding him every time he called it her dorm instead of theirs. And that just because he couldn't stay there the majority of the week, that didn't make her home any less his home.
He'd made the mistake of knocking last weekend and had received the cold shoulder from his blonde professor for almost an hour before his stoic wife finally warmed back up. He would not make the same mistake twice.
XxX
The dorm was already empty by the time he made it back, hoping his timing was right. Luckily, Pyrrha was nowhere to be seen, allowing them to maintain the illusion of a first date and letting him get showered and dressed in relative peace. He didn't have the fanciest clothes, but a powder blue button up and black pants seemed handsome enough for a trip into the city.
Regarding his reflection, Jaune nodded to himself once before stepping into the hall. It so happened that Team RWBY had left their door open, letting him spot his two missing teammates sitting amongst the teenage girls. A few people looked up as he approached, each sporting a knowing grin.
"Oh, look at you all cleaned up. Don't tell me you've got a hot date?" Nora's boisterous laughter made it clear that Pyrrha had already confided in her. And like always, she'd seen fit to tell the rest of their friends, who watched on with general amusement. And rather than roll his eyes at his teammate's big mouth, Jaune decided to roll into the attention. It's not like anyone could be embarrassed about scoring a date with a hottie like his wife.
"Oh, smoking," Jaune's lips stretched into an easy smirk. "Easily one of the two most beautiful women on Remnant."
That comment earned a round of awes from the group of women, much to Jaune's embarrassment. Pushing past it, he shot his teammates a nod. "And thanks again for babysitting. Me and the missus can't remember the last night we had to ourselves." He was immediately greeted with the laughter he'd been hoping for and an eye roll from Ren. Nora simply smiled without a care, green eyes alight.
"Hold on," Yang looked up from her scroll, suddenly interested, "Does that mean we get paid?"
Jaune didn't flinch before answering back, "Absolutely. Just as long as you make sure Nora showers and gets tucked in by ten."
Ren, whose job that normally was, became immediately invested in the conversation. His pink eyes cast themselves around the room, desperate and hopeful. But then Yang took one look at the baby in question and her threatening grin, all but daring the buxom blonde to accept the challenge. The young woman's smile vanished. Instead, she not so discreetly retreated back into her bunk without another word.
"Can I have your leftovers?!" Nora's attention snapped back toward her father, eyes sparkling. Jaune didn't have the heart to tell her there probably wouldn't be any. Pyrrha might not look it, but she could put it away like a champ. Every student at Beacon was like that. And while their campus meals were usually adjusted for the extra calories, he and Pyrrha were going to a regular restaurant.
"Sure thing," he smiled instead, making a mental note to order a third meal they could bring home. It wasn't like they couldn't afford it, and seeing the tiny redhead's grin was more than worth the trouble.
"Best. Dad. Ever," Nora pumped her arm. Jumping up, she thanked her beloved team leader with a peck on the cheek. The gesture was too innocent for anyone to blink at anymore. Even Jaune didn't question his insane friend, ruffling her hair and enjoying her endearing giggle as she leaned into the affection.
About to wave his friends a fond farewell and start toward the front of the building, the sensation of eyes watching him stopped Jaune before he could lift his foot. Following the itchy tingle, Jaune's chest froze at the sight of two silver eyes peeking at him from her own bunk bed, half buried beneath blankets and a mountain of pillows. Their connection only lasted a second before those same eyes shot wide and disappeared back into the cave where she had been lurking.
Jaune had to stop himself from coughing to dispel the lingering awkwardness. Poor Ruby looked like she was still stuck on what she'd happened across the other day. In the heat of his danger and his prompt visit to the nurse's office, she'd been too busy to think about how she'd watched her best friend get his dick sucked. But that hadn't lasted for long. And now, the young woman found herself utterly unable to look the blond in the eye without the image of his hard cock inserting itself in the front of her brain.
It was disappointing because Jaune had been really enjoying their hangouts. But at least she didn't know that he'd caught her. That might have caused irreparable harm to their friendship. Instead, the young man had decided to give his younger friend some space to work through…whatever she was going through. All he knew was that puberty was a bitch, and he wouldn't wish its chaos on his worst enemy.
"Catch you guys later. Enjoy your weekend." Jaune said his goodbye and received a slew of his own. Starting toward the stairwell, a few other students walked past or stood around, watching him go by. The blond acknowledged their stares, recognizing that his anonymity had well and truly died since his and Glynda's marriage. And if people didn't know the name Jaune Arc, they definitely recognized him as that one bastard who was bedding his teacher. Both were true, so Jaune didn't see the point in trying to dissuade the rumors.
Of course, a few were likely curious about what had put him in such a good mood, eyeing his saccharine smile like he was a mental patient. But he was just excited to go out and do regular teenage things. No more talking about future brides, semblances, or babies. Just him and one of his pretty girls out on the town, enjoying each other's company. And as the front door came into view and he caught sight of the vision waiting for him on the other side, his silly expression only grew.
"Wow," Jaune didn't bother hiding his amazement, grinning like an idiot at the sight of her. Turning at her husband's voice, Pyrrha's cheeks dimpled as she smiled back, swaying slightly so the hem of her skirt swirled around her shins. Stumbling closer, Jaune didn't know what to say.
"Do you like it?" Pyrrha had the gall to ask him with a straight face.
Jaune let himself drink his wife in, in all her glory. Grinning and joyful, her face would have been beautiful regardless. But the young man immediately noticed the light application of makeup she'd gone through the trouble of applying, casting her normally pink lips in a darker hue that contrasted her lovely pale skin. Given how red her cheeks were, it was hard to tell if she'd bothered with any blush, but her long eyelashes had been curled to perfection and outlined with a dark marker.
Her lovely portrait was framed by her waterfall-like red hair, relaxed to flow over her shoulders and down to the small of her back. It was the first time Jaune had seen it brushed down so smoothly or outside of his wife's normal high ponytail. Having so much hair couldn't be easy to fight with, but Pyrrha didn't have to worry about fighting today and had decided to let her scarlet tresses blow in the breeze.
And finally, Jaune took a moment to appreciate her outfit for the day. It wasn't a complicated one. Just a simple white sundress with green accents that ended chastely below her knees. The material fit snugly against her prominent hips and chest, leaving her shoulders and a hint of her collar bare. And as the sun peeked through a passing cloud, Jaune caught the shadows of her thighs projected through the thin fabric.
She looked…normal. Beautiful and probably more athletic than average, but this was the kind of girl Jaune could have imagined walking past on the street with no problem. Not that Jaune would have been brave enough to approach her. She was way out of his league. Which made the fact that he was somehow allowed to simply walk up and kiss her on the lips whenever he wanted all the more incredible.
Thankfully, the blond did not take that privilege for granted, savoring the sensation of her mouth as he closed the distance and cupped her cheeks in each of his palms.
"I'll take that as a yes," Pyrrha giggled dreamily once they broke apart. "I'm glad. I've been saving this dress for a very special occasion. Normally, I don't try to stand out too much in public, but I didn't think you'd be as happy about going on a date with a girl hiding behind a beanie and sunglasses."
"Utterly untrue," Jaune didn't hesitate to disagree. "With you on my arm, I wouldn't care if you went full trenchcoat and fedora. I'd still be the happiest guy on Remnant." It was the right thing to say, and Pyrrha said as much with a second kiss. This one was much deeper and prolonged as her tongue snuck out for a taste of his warm lips.
Letting his hands stray toward her hips, his thumbs brushed the smooth fabric, appreciating the heat that sank into his palms. Pyrrha finally pulled back just as her husband's blood began to flow southward.
"Ready?" Pyrrha asked, just as flushed and breathless by his touch. Jaune nodded, maintaining his grip on one of her hands so they could stay connected as they started toward Beacon's bullheads.
A/N: I dare a single one of you to show me an instance of Glynda using her semblance on a person. I did my best to scan through the early seasons and as far as I could see, it's always inorganic matter. Rocks and pillars and shit. I decided that the best way to explain that was that her semblance gets interrupted by aura so Grimm and normal civilians are still game.
I decided early on that this was a good enough distinction to separate it from Pyrrha's semblance, which I also tweaked from canon. Because, excuse me, POLARITY does not mean you get to control shit like Magneto like we see. Pyrrha can because she's a fucking genius, but the ways she explains her power makes it pretty clear that she should only be able to control the magnetic charge of an object. She's just so good at it that she's learned how to manipulate her metal-sense like an extension of her body, like balancing a plate on a stick.
So now Jaune has two powerful weapons. One that lets him influence Grimm and one that's very useful against humans. This felt like a good balance between the two women, and I'm really excited I finally got the chance to explain what they each have going on. It'll be interesting trying to translate that to fighting in future chapters.
Anyway, next chapter is going to be out in two weeks. The next few are going to be more focused on Jaune's wives and developing their characters. Yep, that means date chapters.
Have a happy holidays and I wish everyone a wonderful new year. See you all in 2024.
