AN: Merry Christmas everyone! I didn't have any special chapter planned for today's celebration so just take this double chapter update as a present instead!
Anabel was about to put back the pair of boxer on Robin. But the girl scrunched her face and shook her head frantically. ''P-please I don't want to wear that thing again. Can't I just stay like this? I-I don't want to wear any boy's clothes anymore.''
The older woman looked at her with a worried frown. ''Are you sure? These hospital gown really don't hide much.''
Robin nod her head. ''It's alright, It's not like I can move anywhere right now. Nobody will see under my gown as long as I'm in bed...Plus as embarassing as it would be if anyone saw me naked, the idea of people seeing I'm an actual real girl kind of excite me, is that weird?
Anabel snorted. ''It kind of is for a girl your age. But I supposed it kind of make sense in your case. Just be careful alright? While nudity is allowed as I said, it is still kind of frowned upon for girls your age to be seen in the nude by adults. With the help of psychic types, pedophilia is a mental disorder that has almost been completely eradicated from humans. We haven't had a confirmed child predator in any globalist controlled region in more than a decade. But you can never be too careful.''
Robin shuddered. She didn't actually know what Anabel was talking about. But she had heard about child predators from time to time back home and how they would target kids like her and do something that would scar them for life.
Robin covered herself back up with her gown. as Anabel went to retreive her partner. Her pussy was now out of view. But she could still feel the open air brushing against it which kind of made her feel exposed but it was also kind of freeing in a way. She wondered how intense it would feel outside, with actual wind.
As Anabel returned back in the room with Looker in tow she had her notebook and pen back in her hands. ''Alright we were almost finished with our questions. So we'll just wrap that up and get out of your hair.''
The tought of Anabel leaving after this sent a small jolt of sadness in Robin's chest. But she supposed it made sense, it wasn't like she was anyone special to her. She was just a girl she was helping because it was part of her job.
''Now what was the name of your home planet?'' Anabel asked.
''Earth, is it not called that here?'' Robin asked curiously. Now that she tought about it the name of the planet was never actually mentioned in the show. It was just called 'the world of Pokémon.'
Anabel shook head. ''We actually call our planet Terra, which I suppose is kind of the same thing.'' Then she cleared her troath. ''Alright what was the name of your home region and/or country?''
''Canada.''
''What is your sexuality?''
''Eh? Is that the same thing as the gender question?'' Robin titled her head confused.
Anabel chuckled lightly and shook her head. ''No, sexuality mean who are you usually have attracted to. Think back at your school. Did you ever had a crush on other kids? And if you did what gender were they?''
Robin flushed furiously as she realised what the question actually was about. She tried thinking about the few crushes she had at school. There had been Jenny, Yennefer, Thomas and Mia.
''I-I had a crush on three girls and one boy. W-what does that mean?'' She asked nervously.
''It just mean you're bisexual with maybe a preference toward other girls. There's nothing wrong with that.'' Anabel said with a reassuring smile.
''T-there isn't?'' Robin asked unsure and Anabel nodded before writting in her notepad, putting Robin's worries at ease.
''What was the current date in your world when you were sent here?''
''Um I think it would have been February the seventh today. Is it the same here?'' Robin asked curiously.
Anabel nod her head. ''Yes it seem like our months match. What about the year?''
''Oh! It was 2011.'' Robin replied a bit sheepish she didn't include it initially. ''What year is it here?''
''We are currently in the year 153 AP.'' Anabel replied seeing Robin confused expression the older woman chuckled and elaborate. ''AP mean After Pokéballs. The discovery of the Apricorn was such a big deal to our civilisation that we count the post pokéball world as a different era entirely in our calendar.''
So the Pokéball was 153 years old? Honestly she hadn't expected for the invention to have existed for that long. She had expected fifty or maybe sixty years at most. She had tought the old Iron Pokéball she had seen Samy Oak use in the Celebi movie would have been the earliest model of Pokéball. But apparently there were ones much older than that. She wondered how they looked like? Maybe they were made of wood? No that would be ridiculous.
''Alright this will be our last two questions and we're done. What was your species before coming to this world?''
''Human, of course.'' Robin replied a bit confused at the question. Then she remembered they had mentioned some people actually got their species changed when they awoke here. Had they been turned into Pokémon when they came here? She probably dodged a bullet by staying as a human. But honestly as long as she was turned into a female she didn't think she would have minded too much. being a Pokémon sounded kind of cool. As long as she wasn't captured by a bad trainer who acted like a jerk to her.
''And what species are you now?'' Anabel asked as if the answer wasn't obvious.
''Still human, right?'' She was pretty sure they were still called humans in the show.
Anabel smirked at her. ''On paper yes, you're still human. However your body was probably changed to fit with the humans of this world. Technically speaking the humans of your world evolved from animals, if I'm correct.'' Robin nodded in response. ''The humans of this world evolved from Pokémon. We have a completely different evolutionary family. So even tought we look the same we're technically not the same species at all.''
''Is there actually a difference between the humans of our worlds beside our different ancestors?'' Robin asked curiously.
Anabel nodded. ''Beside the cultural differences, there is actually three things that's biologically different as far as I know. Firstly some humans in this world have the potential to awaken psychic powers. It's a bit rare but it is a pretty well known phenomenon and the human psychics have their own community and culture. The second is the potential to be sensitive to aura and be able to manipulate it. This one is extremely rare, as far as I know there's only up to four to five people with that kind of power every centuries. The last one...Is probably best left explained when you're a bit older.''
''No please tell me! I hate when people won't explain things because of my age!'' She exclaimed puffing her cheeks angrily.
Anabel sighed. ''I supposed at your age you're really not that far off from puberty, so I suppose I should tell you. From my understanding from talking to other women from worlds like your. Women from Earth usually go through something called a 'menstruation.' right?''
Robin wrinkled her nose but nodded. ''Yeah my mom and sister complained about it sometime. Aparently they bleed once a month and it really hurt.''
''The women of this world doesn't have anything like that.'' Anabel said shaking her head for emphasis.
''Really?! That's great!'' Robin replied in relief, that had been the only thing that had put a slight damper on her wish to be a girl. But her smiled died down when she noticed that the older woman still had a frown on her face. ''There's more to it than that, is it?''
Anabel nodded. ''Yes, the women in this world go throught something called 'heat' instead, or 'estrus' if you want to be more technical.''
''Wait, heat like what animals go through where they...really want to make babies?'' She said with a blush on her face.
''Yes, all female Pokémon and human go throught something like that here. It happen once every season and last from three to seven days. It can be...really intense, especially if you don't have a partner to relieve you. There is multiple way women have found to relieve themselves safely. But I think that's all I'll reveal for now. You're still a bit too young to talk about this.''
This time Robin did not complain about being dismissed for her age as she burried her red face under her pillow.
Soon after that the two member of the International Police left her room. With nothing left to do now that her visit was gone Robin closed her eyes and quickly drifted into a dreamless sleep.
She didn't wake up until the next day when she felt something soft and furry brushing against her face. She batted it away with her hand, only for it to return a few seconds later to tickle her nose.
She sneezed loudly and just like that, all her drowziness was gone. She opened her eyes and glared at the intruder. Only to gasp in surprise when she realised it was the same rodent that had saved her back on the beach.
''Minccino!'' It cried out happily.
Now that she tought about it Pokémon said their name right? So that meant this was most likely a Pokémon called Minccino. She wasn't familiar with it. But it kind of made sense, if this world was real it wouldn't wait until the games and anime caught up to introduce new regions and Pokémon. There might be hundred of Pokémon out there that the games had yet to introduce and she would get the chance to see them before anyone else back home! That made her feel kind of giddy inside. She wondered if there was a region based on Canada somewhere out there. It could be really fun to see her own home with a new Pokémon twist.
At the same time if she had known she would have been transported in the world of Pokémon someday. She would have actually played the games instead of just watching the show. Especially since this world seemed more closely related to them than the anime. But it was kind of too late now. She suppose she would just need to learn about this world like any other kids who were born here.
''How did you end up here?'' Robin asked while petting the top of the head of the small rodent. It leaned into her touch and squeaked happily. ''Good boy!'' She said happily she continued to pet it.
''Mincci!'' It replied looking somewhat offended before pointing directly between it's legs. There she could see a small furry slit. Oh, Minccino was definetly a girl, oops. The Pokémon vagina looked shockingly similar to her human one. Is that normal for Pokémon?
''Sorry for calling you a boy. I'm not good at guessing the gender of Pokémon.'' Robin said sheepishly.
Instead of responding the Minccino jumped on the counter next to her bed where a stack of paper and coloring crayons had been left there by someone. Robin hadn't noticed them before. She wasn't much of a drawer, but it would probably remove a bit of the tedium of being stuck in this room.
The Minccino retreived a paper and a red crayon from the pile and began to actually write on the page. To her shock when the small rodent turned the paper around there were words written in perfect english. [You are from another world, right?] It read.
Robin was shock at the question and wondered what she should do. Should she keep her true origin secret? It wasn't like Anabel and Looker actually told her to keep it secret. But usually in these sort of stories you're never supposed to reveal the fact you're from another world. But she supposed this wasn't a story. And that might sound insulting. But sharing a secret with a Pokémon didn't sound as dangerous as sharing it with another human. It was kind of like sharing a secret with your pet. A pet that just so happen to be just as intelligent as you.
''Yes I'm from another world, how did you know?'' Robin asked curiously and the Minccino started writting furiously again.
[You asked me if I could talk english back at the beach. In this world they don't call it english, they call it Common.]
''H-how do you even know what english even mean?'' Robin asked now confused. The Minccino started writting again and turned her page around.
[I'm from another world too! I landed in this world five years ago. I used to be human just like you, but I ended up turned into a Pokémon when I woke up here.]
''Oh...I'm so sorry. It must be hard to adapt being a completely new species.'' Robin replied with a sympathetic frown on her face.
The Minccino shrugged in response and continued to write. [It was definetly rough at first. But now I've been a Pokémon for so long I've kind of forgot what it was even like to be human. My name is Charlie by the way, what's your name?]
With all of this she kind of forgot she never actually said her name to her little savior. ''Oh! My name is Robin, thanks for saving me back at the beach by the way.''
''Minccino!'' She replied vocally instead of writting again.
Soon after a nurse came in the room to say that visiting hours were over. The little Pokémon waved at Robin and left her alone once again...
The next morning when Robin woke up she realised she needed to pee really bad. She hadn't peed at all since she arrived in this world. Technically the nurses had left her with a portable toilet she could have used. But she was too embarassed to use it and run the risk of someone walking in on her. And she didn't really had to go that bad yesterday.
But now it felt like her bladder was about to burst. She tried to move and realised that after a good night of sleep she could move her legs much more easily. Slowly and carefully she put her feet on the ground, slowly she rose from her bed...
And nearly fell flat on the ground from her legs collapsing under her. If it wasn't for her slamming her hands on the wall for support, she would have crashed face first on the cold tiled floor.
She probably should just suck it up and use the portable toilet. But she was determined to see her objective through.
So leaning the rest of her body against the wall. She slowly took a step and then another and then another. With each one her legs felt less and less wobbly. By the time she felt like she could move without support. She had finally reached the door leading to her personal bathroom.
She stepped inside and locked the door behind her. She moved the hospital gown out of the way and realised with embarassment that the back of the gown was completely uncovered. Meaning that since she had disgarded her boxers and had insisted Anabel took them to the trash. Everyone would be able to see her bare butt anytime she was up.
Trying to forget about potential future embarassment. She let herself fall on the toilet seat and with a sigh of relief she let the flood come out. The sound of pee cascading against the water filled the silence and Robin felt relieved. She felt like a water balloon being emptied of it's liquid. She could almost swear her stomach slightly shrunk once she was done emptying her bladder.
She was about to rise from the toilet seat and leave. But then she looked down and noticed her vagina was absolutely drenched from her own urine. Right, she had forgotten that girls were supposed to wipe themselve everytime they peed. As much as she had hated her penis, she had to admit it had it's conveniences.
Oh well, this was something she all too happy to deal with as long as it meant she was a girl. She took some toilet paper and proceeded to swipe the pee from her little folds. Once her coochie looked dry enough she rose up again and slowly made the treck back to her room.
Just before she could reach her bed however she heard the creaking sound of the door opening and saw the head of one of the nurses poking out from the door frame.
Robin was afraid to be scolded for getting up without permision. But to her relief the nurses only smiled. ''Ah you're able to walk now? That's good news! Once you feel ready you should go take some walks regularly throught the halls. It will help your muscles recover more quickly.''
''O-okay.'' Robin responded meekly. She had never been good talking to strangers.
''Oh right, I came here to tell you, you have a guest asking if they can see you. It's one of those police officers again. Do you want to see them?'' The nurse scrunched her face as if she was annoyed at the idea of the police coming to bother her again.
Robin eyes widen and shook her head up and down so fast that she felt her neck almost snapping from the vigorous movement. ''Yes!''
The nurse looked surprise at her enthusiastic response and left to tell the guest to come up. Once the door opened up again. The person Robin had been hoping to see again poked her head in.
''Hello sweetie.'' The professional but soft voice of Anabel said warmly. The woman came up to her and embraced the girl in a hug.
Once the embarced end Robin smiled at the older woman. ''I'm happy to see you, don't get me wrong. But why are you here? I tought I was done answering questions.''
At that Anabel chuckled slightly and shook her head. ''Yes, that part is over. However the Fallers Support branch of INTERPOL does much more than just ask questions and crafting a new identity. We're here to support Fallers who got lost in our world in any way we can, until they find their own footing. Seeing as you are just a child, the support we will give you will be much more involved than our usual cases.''
''U-um speaking of Fallers, am I supposed to keep the fact I'm from another world a secret? Because I kind of told someone else where I came from. Or I guess it would be more accurate to say they figure it out on their own because of a slip up.'' Robin said all the while fidgeting with her hands nervously.
Anabel frowned at her words which did nothing to reassure her. ''Who was it that figured it out?'' She asked with a dangerous edge in her tone.
''C-Charlie, the Minccino that saved me at the beach. S-she said she was a Faller just like me.'' Robin replied nervously hiding her face behind her own hair.
At her words Anabel's frown disappeared and the tension in her shoulder melted away. ''Oh, that's fine then. Charlie is a sweet kid, they're one of our previous client we helped back when the Fallers Support branch first started.''
''O-oh.'' Robin replied simply still not looking the older woman in the eyes.
Anabel sighed and she put a hand on the young trans girl's shoulder. ''Look, the fact that you're a Faller doesn't need to be some top secret, classified information hidden by the government. I know some of you Fallers come from worlds were revealing such information would be dangerous. However here you are free to disclose your origin to whoever you like, it is your secret to tell. However, I would recommend that you do not reveal where you came from to just anyone. You should only reveal this information to close friends you can trust.''
''B-but if the government wouldn't give me trouble, then why?...'' Robin asked confused.
''It's not the government I would be worried about learning this information, but the press.'' Anabel said with a grim expression.
''The press?'' Robin asked confused.
Anabel nodded. ''Yes, the phenomenon of Fallers is known to the general public. But most of them choose to remain anonymous and pretend to be native to this world to not be bothered. The few that have revealed their origins publicly were often harrassed by paparazzi desperated to get a scoop from someone from an alien world. The hype died down eventually, but this severly made the Fallers attempt at settling down in this new world a lot harder than it otherwise would have been.''
Robin shuddered at the tought. ''I-I definitively don't want a bunch of random strangers asking me about my old life. That sound horrible.''
Anabel nodded in agreement. ''Yes, that's why I don't reveal my status as a Faller to just anyone either.''
Robin was about to nod in understanding then froze. ''W-wait you're a Faller too?! Does that mean you might come from Earth too?''
Anabel shook her head and frowned sadly. ''No, I don't think so. I wasn't as lucky as you. When I arrived in this world I could not remember anything from my old life. Even now I just have vague flashes of memories like a long forgotten dream I can barely recall. But when I awoke in this world I had three Pokéballs with me and there were three Pokémon held inside them. Just like me they had forgotten everything about themselves. But somehow we all felt familiar to each other and clunged to each other like family.''
''Oh I see, so Fallers can come from other Pokémon worlds too.'' Robin replied with mild interest.
Anabel nodded. ''Yes, as far as we have learned thus far we have come to learn of four different types of world Ultra Wormholes can connect to. First it can connect to paralel dimensions. Worlds that are mostly like this one with maybe one or two minor differences. Like say one where Pokémon in Galar can become giants and one where they can't.
The other type of world is ones like yours. Where humans exist but Pokémon are replaced by animals. The third type of worlds is where it's the inverse, worlds where only Pokémon exist and humans are tought to be nothing more than fairy tales. And finally the fourth type of worlds we encountered are strange and distorted place where creatures called Ultra Beasts call home. For some reasons however around five years ago the rate at which people from worlds without Pokémon arrived into our world increased dramatically and furthermore all of them had their memories intact, which used to be rather uncommon for Fallers. INTERPOL is still trying to figure out why.''
''W- what are U-Ultra Beasts?'' That wasn't a term she was familiar with at all.
''They're kind of like Pokémon, but a lot more weird. Almost like, well aliens. And they're very powerful, enough to give most lesser Legendaries a run for their money. But don't worry too much about them. They tend to only appear in places thick with Ether energy. Like the Alola region or the Crown Tundra in Galar.'' Anabel explained.
''What's Ether energy?'' Robin asked curiously.
''Oh right, forgot you wouldn't be familiar with the term. Basically Ether is what we call the natural energy all living beings produce in this world. It's basically what allow Pokémon to do what they do. Without it they wouldn't be able to breath fire, or produce giant gust of winds. Throw bolts of lightning, etc. Back in the old days people used to simply call it magic. But I guess that didn't sounded scientific enough for the modern professors.'' Robin giggled and Anabel smirked at her own joke.
The two stayed in a comfortable silence once the laughter died down. Until a niggling question came at the forefront of Robin's mind. ''Wh-what is going to happen to me, once I'm out of the hospital?''
Anabel frowned at the question and sighed. ''Usually we give Fallers a pretty generous sum of money to get them start on their new life and only check on them from time to time to make sure they're alright. But since you're a child we can't just expect you to go buy a house for yourself and be done with it. So you have a few choices. The first and most obvious one would be to send you to an orphanage. Where you would be soon adopted by a new loving family.''
The tought of having to live with a bunch of strangers didn't sit well with Robin. And she had heard many horror stories from orphanages in her own world. Maybe it was better in the world of Pokémon, but it wasn't really a chance she wanted to take. ''W-what's the other options?''
''Well there is a few boarding schools we could send you to. They would provide you with shelter while you learn all about the Pokémon world. The problem with that solution would be that you would become homeless once the summer vacations arrive.''
''O-oh I see.'' That definitely sounded preferable to the first choice. But what was she supposed to do during a whole summer without a house?
''There is another solutions that I tought about. I wasn't sure if I should bring it up since it is a little unorthodox. But I suppose I should just let it out there. If you want I could act as your guardian. It wouldn't exactly be ideal since I'm often busy with my job and can't be home often. So you would be mostly on your own at my house. But it would give you a safe place to be. At least until you are ready to go on your own Pokémon Journey.''
Robin's eyes lit up like stars and she nodded her head frantically. ''Y-yes I would love that! I don't care if you can't be home all the time, I'm used to take care of myself. A-and you're one of the only people I know here, I would feel much safer with you.''
Anabel was a bit concerned about the 'used to take care of herself' part. But her heart swell that the girl was so enthusiastic about living with her. Honestly Anabel was a bit worried she would freak out the girl with how quickly she had grew attached to her. But it seem like the feeling was mutual.
''Alright then, I will need to go take care of some legal forms to make you officially under my care. I'll return to visit you tomorrow, so until then do your best to recover.'' Anabel smiled one last time and was about to leave but then stopped. ''Oh right, I almost forgot I had something to give you.''
Robin cocked her head curiously as the older woman unzipped her bag. From inside she retreived three pairs of brand new panties. Each one with pictures of Pichu, Cleffa and Pokéballs drawn on them.
It looked a bit childish, but Robin absolutely adored them. She immediatly grabbed a pair and slowly went to the bathroom to put them on. Once the pair of panties were snuggly wrapped around her crotch. Robin left the bathroom presented her new pair of panties to Anabel like they were a trophy. All the while glowing with joy at finally being able to wear girls underwear.
Anabel just smiled at her obvious happiness and said goodbye to Robin one last time before leaving her room.
Now that she was alone and felt steady enough on her legs, she decided to follow the nurse recommendation and went to take a walk in the hall. There were a few people sitting on chairs outside her room. Either waiting to see a doctor or waiting to hear from their sick loved ones. Instead of being embarassed about people seeing her panties from the back of her gown, she felt proud of being able to wear them.
Anabel came to visit Robin in her hospital room every single days. They talked about everything and nothing. Anabel was impressed about everything Robin knew about their world especially when it came to Legendary Pokémon. Most people were lucky to catch the sight of such rare creatures more than once in their life.
However Anabel had to correct a few misconceptions Robin had learned from the TV show. Like for example you didn't need to be ten to get a Pokémon. Kids could get a Pokémon at any age from their parents. And they could even participate in friendly battles with other trainers.
However kids under the age of ten could not get a official trainer licence. Which meant while they could own and train a Pokémon they couldn't participate in league sanctioned events such a gym battles, contests, showcases, Alola trials and local tournaments. They also couldn't just leave their town and travel the world on their own, however it was possible for them to travel if they were acompanied by a licensed trainer.
It was also illegal for a licenced trainer to demand prize money from a unlicensed kid they beated in Pokémon battle. As such most veterans trainers didn't bother fighting trainer that young. Most unlicensed trainers from such young age only had battles with fellow classmates from school or with their parents and older siblings who were most likely holding back.
Another thing she had to correct is that not everyone received a starters from a regional Professor. You had to actually be sponsored by the lab as a Pokémon data collector to actually receive a regional starter.
Most trainers received their first Pokémon from their parents. You could also get one by asking your local gym to either give you a Pokémon of their speciality they personally bred or let them help you catching a wild Pokémon with a gym trainer for a fee. There were also a few school programs that gave Pokémon to their students once they came of age to earn a trainer license. And finally if all else failed. You could request a random trainer to catch a Pokémon for you by posting a job on the request board at your local Pokémon Center. But the bounty had to be decently good for any trainer to actually bother to help you.
The last misconception is that rookie trainers do not participate in the same rank as experienced trainers. A first year trainer having to face against a trainer who's been a professional for more than a decade at the League Tournament would just be unfair. So the league was divided into three ranks. Rookies, Veterans and Masters. Only Master ranked trainers could earn the right to challenge the Elite 4 and the Champion once they won a Master League Tournament.
The same was true for contests and showcases they were similarly divided between Rookies, Veterans and Masters class. Winners of the Rookies and Veterans showcases in Kalos were given the title of Kalos Princesses, instead of Kalos Queens.
So the tales of ten years old kids becoming the champions of entire regions was just straight up impossible in this world. The earliest anyone could possibly become a champion was at the age of thirteen. Which in all Pokémon history only champion Leon from Galar had managed to do. The two other earliest winners of the title were two boys named Blue and Red at the age of fourteen. They could probably have earned the title at the age of thirteen like Leon did with how talented they were. But they had started their trainer career at the age of eleven.
That's another thing Anabel had to clarify on. ''Not everyone can or want to start their Pokémon Journey when they turn ten. Not everyone mature at the same rate. And some other just don't have enough financial security to start as early as they would want. I know I said you would stay with me until you were ready to go on your journey. But don't rush yourself. If you want to wait a few years before starting your adventure that's fine. Heck some people don't ever go on a journey and instead focus on a more mundane career. It's fine if that's what you want to do.''
At that Robin shook her head and smile shyly. ''I-I don't really know if I want to be the very best or anything like that. But I definetly know I want to be a trainer and be with Pokémon. This is the world of Pokémon after all, not becoming a trainer after ending up here would be kind of like winning the lottery, only to just keep the money in a vault and not do anything with it.''
Anabel chuckled at the comparison but nodded in understanding. After all even to someone who had lived here all their life in the world of Pokémon. Going on a Pokémon Journey was something that was absolutely unforgetable. She could only imagine how it was for Fallers who came from worlds where such things wasn't the norm.
Eventually an entire week had passed since Robin had appeared in this new world. She was given a clean bill of health from the doctor and was allowed to be taken in the care of Anabel.
Once they were outside the hospital Robin turned to the older woman and titled her head. ''So, where are we going? I don't think I ever actually asked where you lived.''
At that Anabel smirked. ''Oh, well when you accepted me as your guardian I decided to buy a small little house here in the city. It's only a few blocks from here.''
At that Robin froze and looked at the woman as if she had grown a second head. ''Y-you bought a house just like that, for me? What about your old home?''
Anabel waved her hand dismissively. ''The house I had back in Johto was just a temporary shack I bought for cheap. I definitely won't miss it. Members of the International Police rarely have permanent residences. We just move from regions to regions where we're most needed. Beside you arleady made a cute little friend here. I didn't want to separate you so soon.''
Robin was left stunned so the two of them walked in silence until they reached a small little house painted in white with an equally ivory fence in front of the lawn. To her surprise on the lawn she could see a massive Pokémon laying down on it's back and snoring loudly.
Anabel giggled at Robin's awed expression from seeing the massive behemoth. ''That's Melon, my Snorlax. He was one of the three Pokémon I found with me when I ended up in this world like I told you. He might seem like nothing more than a lazy glouton at times. But when it really count there's nothing that can stand in his way when he feel he has to protect me or helpless people in need.''
As they walked on the lawn Robin was kind of afraid of accidently waking up the giant and him getting mad at her for intruding on his home. Unknown to her the Snorlax had honed his instincts to the absolute limits to keep his hearings and sense of smell focused even when asleep and had arleady detected the girl long before she step foot on the lawn. But since he could sense no danger from her, he didn't bother actually waking up.
Robin and Anabel entered their new house. The older woman quickly guided her upstair and showed her a somewhat barebone room. It was painted in white and had basically no decoration at all. There was only a bed, a little nightstand close to the bed and a larger drawer with a mirror to keep all her future clothes in.
''It's a little barebone, but I didn't want to do anything you might not like. And I didn't fill your drawers either I wanted you pick clothes you actually liked.''
''It's fine, this is still way better than that horrible hospital room.'' Robin replied and the older woman chuckled.
But then Anabel frowned and kind of looked nervous about something. ''Hey, so it's something I wanted to keep to myself, but I realised I won't be able to keep it from you for potential years. So I guess I should just ask it right now and get it out of the way.''
Robin was getting a bit concerned at how worried Anabel looked. ''What is it?'' She asked.
''Well, how do you feel about nudity?'' Anabel asked now looking at the ground almost ashamed.
''H-huh? W-why do you ask?'' Robin responded with a large blush on her face.
''Well...I'm kind of a nudist. When I'm at home after finishing a job it help me to relax to just lounge around naked around the house or while doing everyday activities. Sometime I'm tempted to go outside without clothes. But it would be kind of ruin my reputation as a no-nonsense police officer if I did that.''
''Y-you're allowed to go in public naked?!'' Robin asked both mortified and intrigued.
''Yes, as long as you stay outside. Businesses don't tend to accept naked people and you're definetly not supposed to be naked while you're on the job. But for the most part the laws for female nudity have always been very lax.''
''Why only for females?'' She didn't know why but the more the conversation the more and more curious she became.
''Oh, there's all sort of excuses. Like men not being able to control their libido when naked so they must remain clothed to protect women. Or they say it's to protect boys on their journey so they don't easily get raped by human-loving female Pokémon in heat. But really the real reasons was that those laws were written by perverted old men who wanted to see pretty ladies with their boobs out. And since this was in a time before women could hold office in the government no one stopped them. But women ended up actually not minding the freedom of being able to go naked when they wanted. So there was never a pushback to rewrite those laws. Male nudity has also been legalized about two years ago as a push for equality. But unfortunately there's still such a stigma against it that most men still don't dare going outside without clothes on.''
''I-In my world any kind of nudity was still very much illegal. So this is very weird to think about...I-I don't know if I would be able to just show myself naked to someone like that.'' Robin face flushed hard as she figeted with her hands.
Anabel laughed. ''My question was simply if you were comfortable with me being naked around the house. I never implied you had to be naked too.''
Robin blushed even harder. ''O-oh.'' Why did she felt a small tinge of dissapointment at that?
Seeming to sense her emotions Anabel smiled gently. ''Hey if you want to be naked with me I really don't mind. Just don't be afraid to put clothes back on if you don't feel comfortable at any point. I also wouldn't recommend going outside naked in town until you're older. It's not illegal for kids to go naked, but it is seen as kind of a grey area. If you want to be naked outside, I would recommend trying it when you're on your journey out of towns. it's pretty common for Trainers in the wild to try camping in the nude at least once.''
Robin fidget shyly. ''I really didn't expect any of this, this is really different than the Pokémon world I watched. Does that mean that if I go outside I could see some naked people just casually walking around?''
Anabel nodded in confirmation. ''Yes, while the majority of people still go about their business clothed. Nudity is just an accepted part of life here. This is probably a big culture shock for you. But this world just doesn't see nudity or sex as a sin, at least not anymore. In the eyes of Arceus, our creator. All humans and Pokémon are equals. And since Pokémon are always naked and mate without reservation, it would be silly for our creator to declare it a sin for humanity for some arbitrary reason. Our liking for clothes was self imposed as was our preconceived notion that virginity is somehow virtuous.
When Akari from Hisui proved the existence of Arceus one hundred and fifty years ago, all other religions in the world that put humanity on a pedestal took a critical blow and were never really able to recover. We were forced to accept that some of the things humanity considered taboo, just really didn't matter in the end. And slowly but surely the stigma we had for things such as nudity, sex, homosexuality, Poképhilia and transgenderism just fell away with time. Since we realised such things were just natural things Pokémon also experienced.''
''So everyone worship Arceus in this world?'' Robin asked feeling a bit overwhelm at just how different this world was than what she was used to.
At that Anabel shook her head, to Robin's surprise. ''Some do, but the vast majority of people simply aknowledge the existence of Arceus and don't actually devote time to worship him. It was recorded plainly by Akari and Professor Laventon that Arceus didn't really care whether or not people believed in him. In his own words, 'Whether or not I am believed, I am still here. You may throw laurel at me if you wish, but your final judgement will be all the same.' In other words Arceus doesn't see the need for being worshipped and whether you're a worshipper or not is not a metric he use on what sort of afterlife you deserve.''
''I see...'' Robin suddenly had a lot of respect for Arceus. Ironically the fact that he was the only god she had ever heard about that didn't want to be worshipped made her believe in him all the more...
