Chapter 3: Day's Gone Wrong

The next morning, Sylvia and her friends woke up and they got out of the tent. She looks out the alleyway that is daytime, she opens her box and lets the tent fly into the chest.
"Good morning, Twin Seeds! Today's a perfect day!" Sylvia said.
"Well, I think it's time for breakfast." Steve said.
Sylvia opened her chest, pancakes and waffles pops out from the chest as her friends pulled out their plates.
"Pancakes!"
"Waffles!"
"Blueberries"
"Toast is the most!"
"Guys, I have plans for today," Sylvia told them.
"What is it for today?" David asks.
"Me and Dana are gonna met up with Claris at music class."
"Where are you gonna met Elliot at?" Dana asks.
"We're gonna met up with him at the basketball court with his teammates." Steve told them.
"To play?"
"Yes."
"Claris, told us that we can visit her," Dana said to the boys.
"But what about Elliot, should we visit him?" Tony asks.
"Yeah, that'll work," Sylvia said.
"We'll meet up at the alleyway when we're done," Dana said.
"Okay, let's go!" David asks.
The kids split-up and started finding their new friends.

Meanwhile, Elliot stretched his arms as he woke up, splash his face with cold water, brush his hair and teeth, changed into his normal clothes and heads into the kitchen.
"Hey mom!" He called his mother.
"Morning Elliot, I made you something good, bacon & eggs!" His mother said.
"Bacon & eggs, my favorite!"
"Now you know, that tomorrow is the celebration of Twin Seeds' 100th Anniversary."
"Yeah, me and my friends are gonna play Basketball."
"Sounds fun, but what your new friends that you've met?"
"Well, Steve, Tony and David are gonna watch us play."
Her mother turned around and looks at her, "You mean, those kids that you saved them yesterday?"
Elliot nodded, "Yes, when Roger and his friends are about to beat them up."
His mother gasped, "That's awful!"
"I know, but we had to save them by teaching a lesson," Elliot said.
"Well that's a good way to say that."
"Yeah. Anyways, I gotta go, I had to play basketball with my friends."
When Elliot finished, he got up from the table and picks up his basketball.
"Okay, be back before lunchtime!"
Elliot stops at the doorway, "I will!"

Meanwhile at the two-story house, Claris stretched her arms as she woke up.
"Well, today's a bright, shiny day!" Claris said to herself.
Claris got out of bed, splashed her face with cold water, brushed her hair and teeth, then puts on her normal clothes.
Claris looks at herself in the mirror, "Looks good, Claris!"
"Claris, breakfast!" His father shouted.
Claris walked downstairs and into the kitchen where her father's waiting.
"Good morning, dad!" Claris said to his father.
"How was bedtime?" His father asks.
"It was great! I'm going to music class to do my vocals with my new friends and the students," Claris told his father.
"Oh yeah, the music class is today," his father said.
"Yeah, I told Sylvia & Dana about meeting me at music class," she said.
"Oh, you're new friends that you've talked about yesterday?"
"Uh-huh!"
Her father looks at the clock, "Well hurry up, if you don't wanna be late!"
Claris got up from the table and grabs her music sheets and her books, then walks out the door.
"Bye dad!"

At the basketball court, Tony and his friends are waiting for Elliot and his teammates to arrive.
"Where's Elliot?" Steve asks.
"He's gotta be here by now," said David.
"Don't worry guys, I think he's running late," Tony said.
"Maybe he's stuck in the crowd."
"Or picking up his friends."
"I bet Elliot grows up to be a basketball player."
"You think so."
Just then, Steve saw Elliot along with his friends.
"Guys, it's Elliot!" Steve yelled.
Tony and David turned and saw Elliot and his friends are running up to them.
"Hey, Elliot! Guys!" Tony said to them.
"Hi guys, you made it just in time!" Elliot said.
"Yes we did, we got here way early." David said.
"Now that we're together, let's play!" Dylan said.
"Yeah, with no Roger around here," said Steve.
"Right," said Jason.
"But anyways, let's go play!"
At music school, Sylvia & Dana are waiting for Claris to arrive.
"Where's Claris, our new friend?" Sylvia asks her.
"She's running late for her class," said Dana.
"Is that why she's always late?"
"I had no idea."
"You know what, I think Claris is gonna be a superstar singer when she's grown up."
"Yeah, me too."
Just then, Sylvia saw Claris running up to them.
"And I think I saw her," Sylvia said.
Claris met up with Sylvia & Dana, "Hi girls!"
"Hi Claris, what took you so long?" Dana asks.
"Sorry about that, i'm ready for music class and my audition for the show!" Claris said.
"Of course you are, come on!"
The girls then went inside the music house.

At the basketball court, Elliot and his friends are still playing basketball, Tony and the boys are watching their friends playing.
"Go long, Elliot!" Dylan said, throwing a basketball to Elliot.
Elliot catches the ball, "Got it!"
David cheered for him, "Go Elliot!"
"You can win it!" David said.
Jason ran up to Elliot and blocks him for good.
"No, you're not!" Elliot said, then dodges him.
"Hey!" Jason complained.
Elliot jumps high and slams the ball down the hoop.
"Score!" Elliot said as landed on his feet.
"Nice going!" Tony said.
"You did good at basketball!" Steve said.
"Gosh, thank you." Elliot said, holding his ball.
"You did great!" Dylan said.
"I almost blocked you!" Jason said.
"Yeah, but I score the first point!"
"Why don't we play again? Besides, Roger and his bullies aren't gonna be around."
"Great idea, let's get back to our positions and start playing again."
"Yeah, round two! Let's hear it for…"
Suddenly, someone cleared his throat, Elliot and his friends noticed that sound.
They turned and saw Roger and his buddies are back.
"Roger?!" They all said.
"That's right!" Roger said.
"What are you doing here?" Elliot asks.
"We came here to play basketball with you guys… for payback!" Roger tells them.
"Payback?!" Steve, Tony and David said.
"Yep!"
"For what?" Dylan asks.
"For teaching us a lesson about picking on new kids."
"When you're about to beat up our new friends?" Elliot asks.
"Exactly!" The green-haired chad said.
"And now, we're here to challenge to you," Roger tells them.
"A challenge?" Jason asks.
"Yeah, so me and my friends can win!"
"Well then, it's on!" Elliot said.
"We'll be right over here, Elliot!" Tony said.
"You're gonna beat Roger and his buddies!" David said.
"Yeah I know, you're going down, Roger!"
"Oh, I wouldn't be!" Roger replied.
The game started, Jason throws the ball and Elliot catches it.
"Go Elliot, go!" Steve called out to him.
Elliot noticed that Roger's friends are gonna get that ball, he dodged the red-haired boy and the green-haired chad.
Elliot jumps and was about to slam it down the hoop, but Roger steals the ball.
"Huh?" Elliot said.
"Aha! I got the ball now!" Roger said, then slams the ball down the basketball hoop.
"What the?" Jason questioned.
"Hey!" Dylan yelled.
"Well that's no fun!" David said.
Roger walks up to his buddies and gives hi-fives.
"Great job," said the red-haired boy.
"Yeah, you beat Elliot on purpose!" Said the green-haired chad.
"It's my skills," Roger told them, then looks at Elliot and his basketball team.
"Roger? How did you do that?" Elliot asks.
"Well, it's my power, you know?"
"Yeah, but…"
"What's the matter? Aren't you tough enough?"
"Yeah, well…"
Roger laughed and placed his hand onto Elliot's shoulder, "Listen here, kid. Tomorrow is the 100th anniversary festival, and we are gonna challenge you to a basketball game!"
Elliot looks nervous, "Another challenge? Oh! Uh… yes! Me & my team are gonna challenge you, right guys?"
Dylan and Jason looked at each other and nodded.
"Elliot, are you're serious?" Steve asks.
"Yes I am!" Elliot replied.
"See you tomorrow, little blue-haired boy!" Roger said to Elliot.
"Blue-haired boy?" Tony asks.
Roger and his buddies left as they began to laugh at them.
Elliot turned and picked up his basketball.
"You okay, Elliot?" Jason asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Elliot replied.
"Are you definitely gonna beat Roger and his team?" Dylan asks.
"Yeah, I think so." Elliot said to his team.
"And what are you gonna do?"
"I… better head back to my apartment and get some sleep. Come on, guys." Elliot told his friends.
"Oh, okay." Steve said.
"See you guys tomorrow." Tony said to Elliot's friends.
"Bye guys."
"See ya."
Elliot started to walk home, feeling quite upset as Tony and his friends began to follow him.

Meanwhile, Claris lead the girls into her music class.
"Woah, is this where you go to music class?" She asked.
"Yeah, this is where I sang my heart out to the students all the time," Claris said.
"That sounds amazing!" Sylvia said.
"I also had my other friends to come."
"You have?"
"Yeah, come on, i'll show you!"
Claris and the girls walked over to her seat besides her friends.
"Hey Claris!" The blonde-girl said.
"Who do you got here?" The girl asks.
"This is Sylvia and Dana, I met them in the park while I was singing. Girls, meet my friends, Emma and Layla."
"Hi!" Dana said.
"Nice to meet you," Emma said.
"Are you here for class too?" Layla asks.
"Oh, no, we were just visiting!" Sylvia said.
"They were just moved here yesterday." Claris told them.
"Oh, okay… welcome to Twin Seeds."
"We know." Both girls said.
"So who is your music teacher?" Sylvia asks."
"Mrs Puffilla," Layla answered.
Sylvia and Dana's eyes winded and looked at each other.
"Was she nice?" Dana asks.
Just then, the door opens a teacher came in, very grouchy.
"I don't think so," said Emma as Madame Puffilla placed her stuff onto her desk.
"That's your music teacher?" Sylvia asked.
Claris and her friends nodded.
Madame Puffilla taps her pencil on her desk and looks at the student and two visitors.
"Good morning, ladies… and new girls. Today's lesson is about vocalizing."
Claris' eyes winded in surprise, "finally!"
"Claris, what song are you gonna sing about?" She whispered.
"It's about having dreams," Claris whispered.
"Ohh," they both said.
"Who wants to go first? How about… you, Claris Sinclair." Mrs Puffilla said.
Claris sat up from her chair, "Who me? Yes ma'am!"
"Mrs Sinclair, please stand in front of the music stand."
Claris walked over to the music stand and places her music notes.
"What is this?"
"It's the song I've made: Dreams, Dreams." Claris told her teacher.
"Well then, start singing!" Her teacher said.
"You can do it, Claris!" Sylvia called out.
"Yeah, sing the song!" Dana called.
"Sinclair, did you let those kids in?"
"Yes, they came here to visit," Claris told her teacher.
Madame Pufflian looked at Sylvia & Dana, "You girls stay here and don't move while the class is going on."
Dana and Sylvia sighed, "Yes, ma'am."
Puffilla looked at Claris again, "Now then, start the song already!"
"Okay," Claris said. She took a deep breath and begins to sing as the music started up.

Claris: In a dream I can see you are not far away

Anytime, anyplace I can see your face

You're that special one that I've been waiting for

And I hope you're looking for someone like me

In my dreams, I can hear you calling me

In the night, everything's so sweet

In your eyes I feel there's so much inside!

Outside, Elliot and the boys are walking back to his apartment, when he heard someone's singing again.
"That voice!" Elliot said, giving his basketball to David.
"What voice?" He asks.
Elliot ran to Claris' music school and looks up at the window.
"Maybe someone's in there!" Steve said.
"You thinks so," Elliot pounded, "but there's an open window!"
"How are you gonna get up there?" Tony asks.
Elliot noticed that the vines can get him up there, "I'll climb onto the vines while you guys watch me."
Tony and the boys nodded, Elliot climbs up to the window and saw Claris singing her song

Claris: In a dream we can do everything we want to

There's nowhere I'd rather be but here with you

The stars above light the way only for you and I

I'm so glad I found the one that I've been looking for

Keep the dream of the one you're hoping for

Love can come through an open door

Just be strong

And you're sure to find the one, the one, the one, the one!

"Woah, that girl's singing voice," Elliot thought to himself, then he noticed that he saw two girls watching her, "who are those kids?"
Suddenly, Elliot started to slip and falls into the bushes. Tony and his friends started to help him up.
"You okay?" David asks.
"What did you see?" Steve asks.
"I-I saw the girl with pink hair singing, and two other girls." Elliot said, feeling dizzy.
Tony looks at Steve & David, "That must be our friends."
Elliot shakes his head and looks down, "I can't believe that pink-haired girl can sing."
Elliot then started to sing as Tony and his friends looked at each other.

Elliot: In a dream, I can see, you are not far away

Anytime, anyplace I can see her face

You're that special one that I've been waiting for

And I hope she'll looking for someone like me

In my dreams I can hear her calling me

In the night, everything's so sweet

In your eyes I feel there's so much inside

In the nights, dream delight

I want to see you standing there

In the nights, dream delight

I found someone who really cares

In the nights, dream delight

I want to see you smile again In the nights, dream delight

You are the one I've waited for.

Elliot sighed and his friends decided to comfort him.
"Don't be sad, Elliot. At least you got us!" Steve said.
"Yeah, we played basketball together." David said.
"Thanks guys. Wanna come over to my apartment, I can introduce you to my mother." Elliot said.
"You go on ahead, me and the boys are gonna stick around." Tony said.
Elliot nodded and takes his basketball with him, "Okay, see you guys later!"
Tony and his friends waved goodbye to Elliot as he runs off.

Back inside, Claris finished her song and Madame Puffilla looks at her.
"Sinclair, what kind of song did you've sang about?" She asked.
"It's a song about having their dreams together," Claris explained.
"Well, that was swell. But next time, do a little-bit harder for your vocals."
"Oh yeah… better try that."
"Now, head back to your seat, Mrs Sinclair."
Claris nodded and heads back to her seat.
"That was a nice song you've just sung," said Sylvia.
"You almost sang your heart out," Dana whispered.
"Yeah, but thanks."
Just then, the bell rang and class was dismissed.
"Hey, there goes the bell." Layla said.
"That means class is dismissed." Emma said.
"Oh yeah!" Dana & Sylvia said, but Puffilla shushes them.
"Singing lessons is over, come back next Friday. But this time, practice harder! You hear?!" Madame Puffilla told the girls.
The girls looked anxious and left the classroom.
David, Tony and Steve are outside thinking about what Sylvia & Dana have gotten themselves into.
"What was Dana & Sylvia thinking? Joining the class?" Steve asks.
"I don't know, but I think they've joined the girls for singing lessons," said Tony.
"Yeah, because they always wanted to sing their hearts out!" David said.
Just then, the door opens and the boys hid inside the bushes.
The boys peeked and saw a pink-haired girl exiting the building.
"Who did you think that is?" Tony whispered.
"It's a girl, that Elliot was talking about!" Steve said.
Suddenly, Claris turned and saw three boys as they hid under the bushes.
"What was that?" Claris thought.
"You alright, Claris?" Emma asks.
"Oh! Uh… yeah. I think I saw someone in the bushes." Claris told them.
"Yeah. Anyways, we're heading out to the ice cream parlor. Wanna come?" Layla asks.
"I like too, but me and my friends are gonna take a walk, see ya." Claris said as she and her friends walked off.
"Okay, but meet us at the parlor when you're done!" Emma shouted back.

A little while later, Claris and the others walked passed the Seeds Tower where they saw an ad of "Twin Dreams Auditions".
"Wow!" Both girls said.
"Is there where you go there tomorrow?" Sylvia asks.
"Yes. So I can be a broadway star!" Claris said, raising her arms in the air.
"Lucky for you!" Dana said.
"And what are you gonna do?"
"I'm gonna sing for the judges!"
"That's great!"
Dana turned and listened to the judges, talking about tomorrow.
"Guys, you might wanna listen to this," Dana called them.
Claris and Sylvia walked over and listened to the judges with their ears.
"Can't you believe that everyone is going to the auditions for Twin Dreams?" The first judge said.
"Yeah, I bet if someone's going be a great singer," said the second judge.
The third judge scuffed, "Yeah, but wouldn't you imagine about having stage fright?"
"I had no idea," said the first judge.
"I'm sure everyone is going to laugh at her," said the third judge.
Claris eyes widened and the girls looked at each other.
The second judge nodded, "I agree, if someone's gonna be in the show, then they wouldn't have to be stage-frightened."
The first judge sighed, "Yeah I know."
Claris looks down at her feet in sadness, Sylvia & Dana frowned and decided to cheer her up.
"Claris, look. I know that you're gonna audition for the show. But I think you're feeling scared." Sylvia told her.
"Scared? Oh no, i'm gonna be fine!" Claris replied.
"So you're not scared, huh?"
"Yeah, but i'll give it a try!"
"It's okay, we believe in you!"
"Thanks guys, I better meet up with my friends at the ice cream parlor! Are you two coming?"
"We love too, but me and Dana had to go find someone!"
"Okay, bye!"
Claris then took off running, leaving the two girls standing there.
"Bye Claris!" They said.
All of a sudden, they saw Tony and the boys running up to the girls.
"Hey guys!" Sylvia shouted at the boys.
"There you two are!" David said.
"What were you two thinking?" Steve asked.
"We were just visiting her friend's music class and we watched Claris singing," Dana said.
"Wait, you mean Claris had a singing voice?" Tony asked, the girls nodded.
"Yep, but when we passed the Seeds Tower, we heard the judges said that everybody is gonna laugh at Claris."
"That's terrible! It's the same thing that's happened to Elliot!"
"What happened?"
"When he and his friends are playing, Roger and his gang showed up and decided to challenge them."
"Sounds bad."
"And now he's up for the challenge tomorrow."
"And I think Claris was feeling nervous, so we had to comfort her."
"Is there something we can do about their friends?"
Sylvia gets an idea, "I know something!"
Tony looked at her, "Wait, you do?"
"Really?" Steve questioned.
"Yeah, but listen…" She whispered to Steve's ear, then Tony, then Dana & David.
"That's a great idea!" David said.
"Visiting Elliot & Claris for the night, sounds like a terrific idea!" Dana said.
"Yeah! Come on, let's go back to the alleyway!"
