Chapter 45 Merry Christmas

It was snowing through out Ever After as many were enjoying the snow, outside Poppy was taking care of her hair salon.
"Well another winter day." She said.
Poppy goes back to work and a creature of shadows came towards the shop but then Okuyasu came and beats it up.
"Don't you dare you punk!" He stomps on it too.
Poppy got surprised and looks back at the scene, but she smiles and chuckles.
"That's Okuyasu alright." She said.
After meeting him the two of them spent a long time, while he's not what someone would say is a prince charming, he's strong and caring.
She wouldn't like as that's kinda like her type, even if some girls are scared of his looks she thinks they make him cool.
The Hand then erases the monster making it vanish and Okuyasu came inside. "Well that takes care of it."
"Thanks man." She said.
"Hey it's no problem for my friends." He smiles.
Poppy chuckles and said: "Well want to stay for a bit to keep me safe?"
"Well okay." he sits on a chair.
She smiles as she goes to work fixing her place up, some people came to cut they're hair and Okuyasu was reading a magazine from the side to pass the time.
After some time they closed the shop and walked out and Poppy said: "Well it's nice to go out."
"Well yes, but you know my Christmas after some time wasn't that good." He frowns.
Poppy got surprised to hear about that. "Really?"
"Yes, you know how my dad is like, he didn't get helped so many years were not as good." He said.
"That's just not right, as Blondie would say. Maybe we can have our own fun." She said.
"Really?" Okuyasu said.
"Yeah." she said.
They went foward together as they went to the movies and watched a Christmas movie and it was the Grinch making them both smile watching it.
Poppy looks at Okuyasu and smiles at him since she wants to make him happy.
She heard about his past how they're father got mutated into that form, because of Giorno's father dying caused a flesh bud to change him.
He and his brother lived on they're own while keeping they're father hidden from the outside world because of how he looks.
"Well it's nice." She said.
"Yeah." he nodded.
They ate and drink they're food before the movie was done.
The two went out together and she said: "Hey I heard your brother is going out with my sister."
"Wait really?" He got surprised.
"Yeah, it seems they got along just fine." She smiles.
"I never expected big brother to like another girl." Okuyasu said. "He's always serious."
"Hey you never know what will happen." she said.
The two were at the forest and made snow angels.
"Now this is always fun to do." She said.
"Yeah." he said.
She noticed the Hand doing the same.
"Hey you cheater." She throws a snowball at him.
Okuyasu returns some at her. "Oh yeah."
He hits her as they laugh and they threw more against each other.
Watching from a distance was Rohan and he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"That meat head Okuyasu is having a nice date with a girl. I never expected that." He said.
He draws the scene while they were busy since it's a natural thing that surprised him.
"I wonder what made her like him, is it for pitty or is he her type?" he wonders.
The two went away and he closes his sketch book. "Well I got what I needed for my next book. I had request for a romance manga and this will have to do for a scene."
Okuyasu and Poppy went down the road as they smiled at each other.
"Now that was fun." Poppy said.
"Yes, it's more fun with you Poppy." he said.
She blushes a bit a This words and smiles.
"Yeah." She nodded.
The two then saw a shooting star in the sky.
"Hey shooting star." Okuyasu said. "Make a wish!"
They said ones in they're minds and she asked: "What was your wish?"
"To find a way to help dad, what about you?" He asked.
"That's a surprise." She said.
"Hey." He wanted to know.
She chuckles. "Don't worry, you'll find out one day."
He got confused by her words.
"Well okay." He said.
The two went foward as she was behind him and smiles at him.
My wish is to make you happy Okuyasu, you might not know, but deep down I do think of your to be pretty... charming.
The two enjoyed they're Christmas time together and even brought gifts and exchanged them to each other as they had more fun.
Okuyasu was having the best time of his life with Poppy and she felt the same way too.
As Christmas is better spent with someone you care about the most, and helping them in they're time of need.
Poppy was all smiles that day as she wouldn't have picked a different way to spend Christmas with as she was glad to have met Okuyasu, since he was the one for her.
The two watched the stars together with a smile and she looks at him.
Merry Christmas Okuyasu. she thinks to herself.
