Sonia Nevermind was drifting through the air, trying hard not to steer herself into the unknown. The Monokopter was pursuing her with much intent. At first, she thought she was going to get shredded by the copter's blades. But then it steered to the side, and she felt something hard grab onto her fulton. She felt herself being jerked intensely towards the Monokopter. She turned her head to see a large hulking Monokumando with long retractable claws was hauling her in, like a fishing pole reeling in a tarpon. She found herself by held by the Monokumando as she found herself facing Kaizokuma himself.

"You..."

"Ah, Queen Sonia." said Kaizokuma, rubbing his claws together. "How pleasant of you to join us. Please don't try to rebel again. Kids these days don't know how to control their hormones!"

"If my family is really dead, then..."

"Then, then, then, then, then, then." mocked Kaizokuma in a singsong voice. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Anyway, we're here to get you and all your classmates off Jabberwock Island. I just want to know, are all of them present? Are there any classmates of yours currently not on these islands for one reason or another? Perhaps in the custody of the Future Foundation?"

Sonia wouldn't respond.

"Please don't be difficult with me, your highness." said Kaizokuma. "I would hate to let my Monokumandos harm a pretty thing like you!"

"I will not betray my friends!" said Sonia. "They are the only family I have left!"

"Boy, I'd sure say so." muttered Kaizokuma. "Fine, I guess I'll have to deploy some drones."

He hopped onto a small terminal in the back. Small orb-shaped black-and-white robots were launched from the Monokopter, and started flying around the island. After a couple of minutes, the screen started blinking.

"Well how do you like that?" said Kaizokuma. "It seems there are fourteen humans belonging to Ultimate Despair on this island. One of you is missing. And the one missing is..."

He started typing on the keyboard. Appearing on the screen was...

"Nagito Komaeda, the Ultimate Lucky Student!" said Kaizokuma. "Well it seems his luck has ran out. Our underwater flagship has already detected a signal coming from a previously uncharted island that we believe belongs to our enemies. If there's one place where they could be detaining Komaeda, that's where it is. And to think I was about to order them to blow the whole island sky-high. Oh well, I guess we could postpone the fireworks until after he's out of there. I just have to update their objectives."

He laughed in a very unhinged manner as he composed the message. Sonia was shaking nervously, worried for whatever was waiting for Nagito, in addition to herself and her classmates.

"Oh, and I have a special present for them."

He proceeded to record a message.

Munakata paced anxiously around the room, reflecting on what Kirigiri told everyone.

"An underwater facility that is an exact replica of the Future Foundation's secret headquarters." he said.

"Yep." said Sonosuke. "You nailed it right on the head, Munakata."

"I saw it myself." said Juzo. "Me and Izayoi. At first, we thought it was just an oversized aquarium. But..."

"But anyone with half a brain can tell that wasn't the case." said Kizakura. "Kyoko and I also saw it, just a few minutes ago."

"There's also the fact that certain details were missing throughout the complex." said Kirigiri. "The dead bodies that Asahina found of the security guards: Missing. And the impact from Izayoi's kunai knife that he threw at Asahina earlier. And the table in the boardroom had no signs of impact from the knife game. And the monitors with Monokuma's eye weren't originally in the building either."

"Does anyone doubt now that Tengan was behind all of this?" asked Munakata. "He's the only person besides me that could have arranged all of this."

Nobody said anything. Tengan gazed intensely at Munakata.

"And you did all of this, just to get Mitarai to play a video that would rid all despair from the world?"

Tengan nodded.

"That's exactly what I intended all along." said Tengan. "But what I what I didn't intend was for Mitarai to actually participate in the Killing Game."

"Then how did you put together an arm bangle for Mitarai on such short notice?" asked Asahina.

"It wasn't meant for him specifically." said Tengan. "It was actually intended for Hagakure, except he never came inside. But it just happens that his Forbidden Action lined up perfectly with Mitarai anyway. If Mitarai was allowed to use his talent, then at the first sign of trouble he would just have to whip out his smartphone and play the Hope video to wipe any thought of aggression from our minds."

Mitarai shook angrily.

"I can't stand it!" he suddenly yelled. "I'm sick of being manipulated like this. All these people, these horrible people, trying to use my Ultimate talent for their own evil purposes. First it was Junko Enoshima, now it's you. Just so everyone knows: I didn't want any of this to happen. I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused. I just wanted to share my love of anime with the world! I should've just deleted everything when I had the chance. I wish I never even got into animation to begin with. I'm just as guilty for all these deaths as Junko Enoshima is."

They stared at him silently.

"Yes." said Mitarai. "The video on the monitors...it must've been the same video that Junko used to make the Reserve Course kill themselves during the Tragedy. A video that she was able to make because I showed her the techniques I used in my own videos. But I never wanted this! I promise I didn't."

He pointed at Tengan.

"Shame on you, you...you monster!" he growled. "You're no better than Junko Enoshima! You deserve to rot for what you've done!"

Tengan said nothing, just looked at him knowingly. He seemed to know that nothing he said would convince Mitarai to change his mind.

"I couldn't agree with you more, Mitarai." said Juzo. "I'm actually starting to feel bad for hitting you earlier."

What Juzo said didn't make Mitarai feel any better, and Nagito was glaring at Juzo. Mitarai's eyes began to water. Asahina went up to Mitarai and gave him a hug.

"Don't worry, Ryota." she said to him. "Nobody here blames you for any of this. We know you didn't mean for this to happen."

Mitarai started to calm down.

"Thanks, Asahina." said Mitarai.

He looked down at the floor, and let tears fall from his eyes as he shook with anger. Then he started to rummage through his pocket.

"Well I'm gonna set things right."

He stepped away from Asahina, and pulled out his smartphone. He started fumbling with it as if to search for a specific app or feature.

"What do you plan to do now, Mitarai?" asked Tengan.

Mitarai glared intensely at Tengan.

"You want me to play my Hope video?" he asked. "Well I'm going to give you a front row seat to watch it. Just you and nobody else."

Tengan actually started to look alarmed.

"Mitarai, wait." said Tengan. "Think about what you're doing."

"Oh, I'm perfectly clear with this, Mr. Chairman." said Mitarai. "And when I'm done playing this video, I'm going to delete it and everything else that I made so that nobody else will be hurt because of my talent again."

"Ryota, please." Tengan said. "If you delete that video, then all of this will have been in vain. Would you really want Yukizome, Bandai, and Gozu's deaths to have been for nothing?"

"Shut up!" growled Mitarai. "Just...just shut the fuck up!"

It was terrifying to see the meek Ryota Mitarai become so hostile. Even Sonosuke and Juzo seemed taken aback. But just as he was about to press the Play button, the room started to shake.

"What the hell was that?!" demanded Juzo.

Then there was a muffled explosion somewhere in the facility.

"I hope that was just one of your traps, and nothing else." said Ruruka.

"No." said Sonosuke. "It can't be."

"Oh, man." said Nagito, who bowed his head and seemed only mildly disappointed. "I really hope that's a rescue team coming to spring us out. But knowing how my luck works...I highly doubt it."

Then there were sounds of what was unmistakably gunfire, and there were supposed to be no firearms in the facility except for Tengan's Chuusen and Sonosuke's Desert Eagle. Munakata's eyes flashed.

"It's the Remnants of Despair." said Munakata. "They've found us at last. All of you, prepare for battle."

Ruruka let out a cry of surprise and clung desperately to Sonosuke for support. Suddenly she felt a jolt of pain in her broken arm. She looked and saw that Seiko had injected a syringe into her arm.

"Hey, wh-what was that for?" asked Ruruka.

"What do you think?" Seiko told her. "If we're under attack, we need everyone to be able to fight back."

Suddenly, Ruruka felt a strange feeling in her arm. She started wiggling her fingers.

"It's...it's moving again." Ruruka muttered. "Oh, Seiko! You're a..."

"Not now, Ruruka." said Seiko.

An umbilical tube connected itself to the underwater facility. Through the tube, one by one, came dozens of sinister grinning Monokuma Hat-wearing soldiers in military uniforms. They were mostly wielding melee weapons, ranging from lead pipes to machetes to chainsaws, though a few were carrying ArmaLite AR-10 battle rifles and Franchi SPAS-12 shotguns. The men with guns stayed behind in the reading room while the men with melee weapons charged out into the corridor, looking for people to kill.

One of the infantrymen stepped on a metal triangle jutting out of the floor. He stepped on it, and there was a swishing sound followed by a thud. He and the others pointed their guns at the wall. One of their own had been impaled against it by a metal spear, left by Sonosuke when he and Ruruka were in the room earlier.

One of the gunmen decided to sit on the couch, when suddenly there was a series of beeps. The man looked around in surprise, when suddenly there was an explosion. The couch blew itself to smithereens, killing the man instantly. Not only that, but sharp needles and flechettes shot out in every direction, pinning the others to the wall or killing them outright. A gaping hole opened in the floor, causing a few men to fall to their doom. As they fell, their trigger fingers slipped, causing them to discharge their firearms. The ones that stayed in the room also ended up firing their guns in all directions, accidentally hitting each other until only one was left standing. The last one got pushed into a hole by a Monokumando. It, and three others just like it, circled around the hole. They were each carrying assault rifle-like Despair Cannons. They all fired into the hole to kill any of their own men that survived the fall, and crackling red energy bolts shot downwards in the darkness. After that, they quickly left the room and advanced into the corridor, followed by other Monokuma robots coming out of the umbilical tube.

The survivors of the Final Killing Game continued to hear the explosions and gunfire. Soon, the explosions and gunfire died out and were replaced by many hurried footsteps.

"They're coming." said Munakata, drawing his katana. "Barricade the door."

The others shut the door to the boardroom, and barricaded it with chairs and whatever else they could find.

"We're all gonna die in here!" said Ruruka. "There's no way we're going to survive with the limited resources we have."

"Then take as many of them with you as possible." said Munakata. "That goes for all of you. We are all members of Future Foundation. The best of the best. We are hope incarnate, and as long as any of us still lives, we will not give into despair."

"Yeah, I agree with him." said Makoto. "We can't just give up now. No matter how bad things might seem, there's always a chance. Remember everyone that that a rescue team is still on the way. Just hold out as long as you can."

Munakata turned to face the door. Juzo, Sonosuke, Asahina, Seiko, and Nagito joined him. Seiko had her last bottle of strength enhancers in her hand. The chanting outside grew louder. They were coming closer and closer. Suddenly, a sound came on the intercom. At first it was a depressing stream of ambience and funeral music. Then it was joined by the sounds of people screaming and more gunshots, as if a mass execution was taking place. Interlaced with this was a cacophany of hate speech, Satanic chanting, ghastly wails, and other horrible sounds that only the most hateful and desperate human beings could utter in any language.

"What...what is that?!" squealed Ruruka.

"They already got to the monitoring room." said Kirigiri. "The intercom must be on the same circuit breaker as the outside communications. Ignore it, they're just trying to psyche us out of leaving our hiding place."

"Kirigiri is right." said Munakata, untouched by the horrible sounds on the intercoms. "This is only psychological warfare. It's only effective if your enemy is weak-minded. If we survived the Final Killing Game, we can survive this pitiful excuse of a symphony."

Suddenly, there were more horrible sounds, like animals being tortured, domestic violence, and loud inhuman screeching that wasn't made by living being, but instead by someone distorting audio beyond recognition with simple editing software. Some of the noises were so loud that most of them actually had to cover their ears. Suddenly, there was the sound of feedback.

"Heh, heh." said an annoying high-pitched voice on the intercom. "Now that we've hopefully gotten your attention, cowardly leaders of the Future Foundation, I have an announcement for all of you: This is a pre-recorded message from Kaizokuma. 'Who's that?' you ask? Well you can think of me as Monokuma's long-lost cousin. We're not exactly on speaking terms, but our goal is more or less the same: Despair. But while my cousin insists on forcing our enemies to participate in long, boring-ass Killing Games with those long-ass boring Class Trials, I take the "lazy" route and just kill everything right now instead of giving my enemies ample time to figure out a way to defeat me. And since Monokuma's plans are clearly going out of style, I decided to come up with a Killing Game of my own, as part of Operation Final Despair."

"Operation Final Despair?" repeated Ruruka.

"Operation Final Despair goes like this: The definitive end of the Future Foundation, and hope itself. And this is how the Killing Game will go: We find you, kill you, and take turns pissing on your corpses. And we film the whole thing so that your cronies will know how useless and pathetic their leaders were. We'll see to it you meet the most gruesome, undignified deaths a human being can experience. Except, it seems a golden opportunity has presented itself. It has come to our attention that one of our own, a Mr. Nagito Komaeda, is among you. Now I could say something like 'turn him in, and we'll let you live', but I'm the least reasonable robot teddy bear on the planet, so it's obvious that I'm just going to kill you all anyway. But to any Remnants listening to this: If you bring in Nagito Komaeda without either you nor him suddenly dying...you will be given a special reward. I might even make you an official member of Ultimate Despair. So do whatever you damn well please with the Future Foundation members, but leave Mr. Komaeda to me. After all, his classmates are worried sick about him. Now let the games begin."

Suddenly, the voice of Kaizokuma was replaced by the laughter and singing of children. A song started playing on the speakers. Nagito soon recognized it as the song that the brainwashed children in Towa City were singing.

"If we're really underwater, why didn't they just torpedo us and be done with it?" asked Asahina. "I can't stand all this horrible noise."

Suddenly, they heard a chorus of laughter. Laughter that was in Monokuma's voice.

"They've got Monokuma robots." said Makoto. "Just like the ones in Towa City. The ones that..."

Suddenly, faintly but surely, they heard a sound right outside the door: Sniffing. Then growling, as if a large creature were outside. There were heavy footfalls from two pairs of large feet. Suddenly there was a loud banging on the door. Then again, and again, and again. They were coming.

Seiko wasted no time. She immediately start downing the last of her strength enhancers. Seiko's body let off large amounts of steam, and her hair grew long once again. Her arms and legs were buffed out again, and she collapsed on all fours. Not a moment too soon either; the door was knocked down, and a large Beast Monokuma burst into the room through the destroyed doorway. But Seiko met it, barely her long sharp teeth and hissing. She lunged forward and started wrestling with the large robotic bear. All the while, a handful of Remnant infantry armed with machetes and lead pipes swarmed into the room around them. But Munakata quickly decapitated all of them with his katana. Makoto stood there shocked by how quickly and cleanly he killed them. But before he could say anything about it, a cluster of small objects with blinking red lights were thrown into the room. Nagito immediately recognized them as the grenades thrown by Bomber Monokumas back in Towa City. They unleashed a wild smokescreen that made the smokescreen made earlier by Kirigiri in that very same room look like a tiny wisp. Nagito felt himself getting seized by his right arm. Before he knew it, he was yanked hard out of the room and through the smokescreen.

At Jabberwock Island, on the bridge of the flagship, Admiral Moriwaki was angrily giving orders to the crews of the other ships.

"No! We need the other ships to deploy their ground forces on the island. Find the former Ultimate Despairs." he growled into the headset he took from a crewman. "Rescue them or kill them, it's all up to you. Just as long as those Remnant scum don't get what they want."

"Aye-aye, sir." said a voice.

"Sir, we've got another call on stand-by."

"Hello, admiral." said the voice of Byakuya Togami. "It seems you've gotten yourself in quite a snag."

"Togami?!" said Moriwaki. "We're under attack by Remnant troops! We think they've gone after the Remnants your branch is sheltering on this island."

"That's unfortunate, wouldn't you agree?" said Byakuya. "I just thought I would let you know that HQ has been compromised; Brass is trapped in the building and needs immediate rescuing."

"Are...are they under attack too?" said Moriwaki, shocked.

"We believe so." said Byakuya. "I'm afraid I'm going to be running a little late. Can you spare any of your men?"

"That's a negative." said Moriwaki. "The Remnants are giving us hell right now. But I might be able to get some...outside help. I have some navy buddies that went rogue after the Tragedy. I might be able to get through to them."

Down below on the flagship's front deck, the amount of tear gas and smoke grenades thrown was so great that nobody could see anything unless it was directly in front of them. Most of the ship's complementary of soldiers put on gas masks and ventured into the smoke where they met the Remnants in close-quarters combat. Shotguns met shotguns, nightsticks and combat knives met lead pipes and machetes, and the deck was decorated with the bodies of dead infantry and destroyed Monokumas.

But this wasn't the only front the Remnants would be fighting on. A flight of large black airplanes, utilizing stealth technology and therefore unable to be detected by radar, dropped scores of Remnant infantry and Monokumas onto Jabberwock Island itself. The archipelago was soon thick with combat from the blockade's ground forces.

"Togami, have you contacted the other branches? We're going to need all the help we can get."

"Of course." said Byakuya. "I've already got a squadron en route to Jabberwock Island, and the elite units are attached to them."

"Good." said Moriwaki. "And contact Izayoi's branch. We need their hardware here right now."

Mitarai backed away, as three Remnants infantrymen approached, Monokuma's voice cackling from their Monokuma Hats. He was trembling as he closed his eyes and raised up his smartphone. The video was already playing, and a series of wavy lines and flashing vibrant colors filled the screen. The light reflected in their glowing red optics, which then shorted out. The three infantry staggered, and then removed their Monokuma Hats. They looked around confused, as if the trance of despair had worn off. But before they could say anything, a Ball Monokuma bounded towards them and crushed them under its orb-shaped form. Mitarai was taken aback by this, but at least he now knew that his Hope video worked.

Meanwhile, Kizakura was nearby protecting Kirigiri and Ruruka from a group of Monokumas that were trying to corner them. Thanks to his training in firearms and experience in combat, he was able to take down the Monokumas with just a few well-aimed shots. However, a soldier in a Monokuma Hat blind-sided him, knocking him against the wall, and then he headed towards Ruruka, with a pistol in his hand.

"Please don't hurt me!" winced Ruruka, covering her eyes and shaking with fear as the soldier approached her and pointed his gun directly under her large fur-lined collar.

BANG!

THUD!

Ruruka lowered her hands and looked around. The soldier fell dead. She looked around thinking that Kizakura must've gotten back up, but it was Sonosuke, who was in the middle of helping Kizakura up. He was wielding the Desert Eagle, which had fallen to the ground when Kizakura was knocked down. It was perhaps the first time he actually fired the gun himself. And he did to just to protect Ruruka.

"Help me with him, quick!" he said to her.

Ruruka nodded. They brought Kizakura to a corner of the room while the others were fighting the Remnants. Kizakura yawned.

"Boy, I must've had too much to drink last night." Kizakura said dizzily.

Suddenly, the entire room fell silent. He looked around and saw that Mitarai was holding up his smartphone at the attacking Remnants, who had all stopped dead in their tracks. Their Monokuma Hats were sparking and sizzling, as if they had shorted out.

"Whoo!" whistled Kizakura. "Way to go, Mitarai. That's my boy."

"Yes, well done indeed." said Munakata. "But the battle is far from over."

He swung his katana wildly, and all the men fell dead. The Future Foundation members, even Juzo, were shocked by this.

"Mr. Vice Chairman, was that really necessary?" asked Mitarai. "The Hope video should've cancelled out their brainwashing."

"Do you have any idea what they'd be waking up to?" asked Munakata. "Miles away from home, blood on their hands, and surrounded by complete strangers armed to the teeth? Even worse, some of them might even remember what they were doing while they were brainwashed. Trust me, I did the merciful thing and put an end to their miserable lives."

"See? This is why I don't like working for this guy." whispered Ruruka.

Ruruka looked around at everyone. There were people missing: Nagito, Miaya, Seiko, and...

"Oh, crap! Where's Chairman Tengan?!"

The Monokopters were now flying over Jabberwock Island, passing over Hotel Mirai.

"Attention, ladies and gents of Jabberwock Island!" said a high-pitched voice with a slight rasp. "This is Kaizokuma, and this archipelago is now under the control of the Remnants of Despair. We've flown all the way from the formerly United States of America, and we're not happy about the long flight."

"Remnants of Despair?" asked Nekomaru.

"Hey, ain't that what Naegi was talking about earlier?" asked Akane.

Suddenly, Nekomaru's stomach started rumbling.

"Oh come now! Why now of all times?!" growled Nekomaru, clutching his torso. "Hang on, Akane. I gotta...gotta..."

He ran off quickly to the nearest restroom. Two helicopters landed, and almost twenty humanoid figures disembarked from a ramps that lowered in the back.

A handful were clad from head to foot in full metal armor that was white on the left-half and black on the right half. The visors on their helmets were similarly black on the white half but glowing red on the black half. They were wielding large firearms that were emitting red crackling energy from the muzzles. It didn't take long to deduce that these firearms were in fact laser weapons.

"Do not attempt to escape." said the voice. "Our Monokumandos can pick you off from a hundred yards."

"Monoku-what now?" asked Akane, cleaning her ear with her finger.

The Monokumandos surrounded her, and cocked their weapons.

"Where's the other one?" asked the voice of Kaikozuma.

"Oh, you mean Coach Nekomaru?" asked Akane. "He needed to use the bathroom, but...I wouldn't recommend interrupting him."

"I will decide who does or doesn't interrupted here." said Kaizokuma. "Two of you, keep an eye on Owari. The others, get Nekomaru Nidai."

Two of the Monokumandos nodded and lumbered towards the Hotel Mirai, advanced into the front door. Before long, the whole building suddenly exploded in what appeared to be a mushroom cloud...only much smellier. Akane started laughing, even as she was pinching her nose.

"What?! Chemical warfare?" asked Kaizokuma. "Such despair! I love it!"

He was laughing hysterically in the Monokopter, to the point of falling out of his seat and rolling around on the floor. He didn't notice that Sonia was already trying to break free. But down on the island, Nekomaru emerged from the fuming debris.

"Yeah!" he let out a guttural yell. "Let's kick some shit!"

He tackled the standing Monokumando before it could fire its Despair Cannon at him, and the two were rolling around on the ground. Before the other two guarding Akane could join in, she jumped on one of them and latched onto its back.

"Yee-haw!" she yelled. "Ride 'em, cowboy!"

The other Monokumando turned to aim at Akane, but it was hit in the head by a fist from Nekomaru.

"A good manager always looks after his athletes!" he yelled.

He picked up the Monokumando and threw it into the wall of the hotel, causing half the building to collapse on top of it. Akane let herself fall from the one she was riding on, then rolled out of the way as Nekomaru stampeded towards him, wrestling with him for the Despair Cannon.

"Coach, behind you!" yelled Akane.

Nekomaru saw that the Monokumando he had been wrestling with earlier had gotten back up. Thinking quickly, Nekomaru was able to get the one he was currently fighting to fire off some shots with its Despair Cannon. But the Monokumando was fast and agile despite the damage it took. It dove to the ground and ran on all fours. Nekomaru kept tussling over the weapon, and more stray shots were fired in all directions. Some even hit Kaizokuma's Monokopter. Sonia and Kaizokuma fell out of opposite sides of the aircraft.

"Hang on, princess!" said Akane, running at breakneck speed. "I gotcha!"

She sprinted and dove through the air, catching Sonia Nevermind in her arms, and rolling forward as she landed on the ground. She ended up getting pinned under Sonia.

"Oh, that was close!" sighed Sonia, breathlessly. "You caught me not a moment too soon, Akane."

"No...problem." groaned Akane, as she crawled out from under Sonia.

At this point, Kazuichi and Gundham had caught up.

"Oh come on!" said Kazuichi, with a facepalm. "I wanted to be the one that saved Miss Sonia!"

"You impress me, Owari." said Gundham. "You soar through the air like a bat let loose from the tenth circle of Hell."

"Yeah, well I ain't one to brag." said Akane, scratching her head. "They don't call me the Ultimate Gymnast for nothin'! Plus Coach Nekomaru's been doin' 'it' to me, which keeps me in shape."

"Pardon me, will you?" said Sonia. "But I believe Nekomaru is being double-teamed right now. Perhaps we can lend him a hand?"

She pointed at Nekomaru, who was now in the middle of taking on two Monokumandos at once. They quickly double-teamed him and forced him to the ground.

"Nekomaru!" Akane yelled, sprinting at them.

One of the Monokumandos extended its claws and was about to slash into him, when suddenly a blade of red energy burst through its abdomen; Peko Pekoyama had arrived at that exact moment, and with lightning fast speed impaled Nekomaru's would-be executioner with her newly acquired energy sword then pulled it back out. Despite this, it was still standing. The other Monokumando picked up the Despair Cannon laying on the ground, jammed it into the hole that Peko made in its counterpart, and fired at her through its body. But Peko vaulted over it and decapitated both Monokumandos with a single slash.

"Yes! Rejoice, mortals! For victory belongs to us!" shouted Gundham, now that all the Monokumandos were out of commission.

Fuyuhiko caught up to the others, dragging Kaizokuma across the ground. Kaizokuma's claws were scratching the ground as he was dragged. Not out of fear, but pure anger.

"You let me go, you bloody boss baby!" growled Kaizokuma, his blue optic glowing intensely. "Don't think you'll achieve anything by doing this!"

"Shut the hell up." grumbled Fuyuhiko.

Akane, Kazuichi, Gundham, Sonia, Nekomaru, and Peko all gathered around. Every single one of them seemed more than eager to get an explanation of what was going on.

Nagito found himself being dragged out of the room and out into the corridor by a pair of Remnant infantry.

"Ugh..." muttered Nagito, unamused. "Of course they'd be here for me. I wonder how I'll get out of this one."

Suddenly a large shape was sent hurdling through the air. It was the Beast Monokuma from earlier. Seiko had apparently used her superhuman strength to throw it, knocking the two infantry dragging Nagito off their feet. Seiko raced over him, apparently not seeing him, so she could continue fighting the Beast Monokuma. Nagito quickly got up to help his wife, but he couldn't catch up with her. Instead, he made the wrong turn and found himself being faced with an infantryman armed with a Taurus Raging Bull revolver. It was pointed directly at his brow. Nagito held up his hands, including the mechanical one, and stood perfectly still as the infantryman cocked his revolver.

"Heh, heh." said Nagito. "I'm the..."

But before he could finish his sentence, a Monokuma robot came running up behind the man, and tackled both him and Nagito to the ground. The soldier dropped his revolver, and fortunately he was a southpaw, so Nagito was able to grab the Raging Bull with his right hand and shoot the Monokuma robot in the eye, even while he had the soldier laying on top of him unconscious. Nagito slipped him off, and then got up to head down the corridor. Suddenly, a bullet hit the floor just inches from him. Someone else with a gun was shooting at him from around the corner. Nagito took cover behind the damaged wall. He opened the revolver's cylinder and counted all the bullets that were remaining. Then with out looking, he spun the cylinder and slid it back in. He fired back at the gunman, who kept dodging his every shot. That is, until Nagito came to a haunting click! that indicated an empty chamber. The gunman must have heard this, because he immediately got out of his hiding place and approached Nagito with his own firearm in hand. But Nagito pulled the trigger once more and hit him directly in the eye of his Monokuma Hat. The man collapsed backwards, and never got up again.

Nagito chuckled. He opened the cylinder of the revolver, revealing that all six shots had indeed been fired. He let all the cartridges fall to the ground, and stuck the revolver in his pocket opposite the one containing Junko's hand.

"Okay, now I gotta find where Seiko went."

He ran down the corridor and found himself in front of an entire mob of Monokuma Hat-wearing soldiers. They all had firearms drawn and pointed at him. Nagito promptly held up his hands. All he could do is hope that his Ultimate Luck would help him find a way out of this mess.
