Chapter 3 Set in Stone
Jaune woke up from the alarm of his mobile phone. Asagi gave him the device shortly after he started in Gosha Academy. As for his scroll, the device eventually ran out of batteries doubting he will ever need it. Not like he will be able to call his friends back in Remnant. The blond got up from the bed and pick some clothes and his towel, heading for the bathroom. After the shower, he went back to his room and changed to his school uniform. White short sleeve neck shirt with long navy blue pants, white socks with brown shoes.
It was the same routine everyday when he goes to school. And hard to imagine time has really passed by and it's been almost three months since he started at Gosha Academy. The Arc has gotten used to almost everything and he was happy. He could actually call Gosha, home. Of course he still misses Remnant and everyone that, will never change. But he actually get some peace of mind in this world. Not thinking that he's been hanging around hot girls with hot bodies, who would have thought it will ever happened to someone like him.
Team RWBY was attractive and sexy but next to the Taimanins he has gotten acquainted with, they didn't stood a chance. Arriving on the kitchen the blond spotted Tokiko washing the dishes in her teacher attire. Someone else was present, sitting on the table reading the newspaper and holding a cup coffee. Jaune recognized the women in her mid thirties with long brown hair and red eyes. Another member of the Fuuma clan, Saika Fuuma.
Saika was the original butler of the Fuuma clan before she retired and let Tokiko over the role. Now she works as the secretary of the clan as well as Asagi's secretary at Gosha Academy. She was kind and polite just like Tokiko. She confide him not that log ago since he first met her. Jaune found out the veteran Taimanin lost her legs during a mission and they got replaced by prosthetics. That was all the information he got but he felt there was more. If she chose not to bring further details it was all right, it didn't bothered him.
One thing to note, like the rest of the Taimanin and he became friends with. She has one hell of a body. The Arc thought having a hot body was a requirement to become a Taimanin. With exceptions like Yukikaze. Was it punishment he go to this world or a blessing. Jaune might never know the answer. Saika was wearing a long sleeve white shirt with straps at the end, white gloves, a wine colored with a wine neck tie, long white pants with silver heels.
The secretary gazed away from the paper, giving a sweet smile at the blond. Tokiko has already served breakfast at the table. It amazes him how fast she is. Basically it was done before he wakes up to start the day. Dedicated and responsible. That was the kind of Huntsman he wants to be. He can still work for that dream in this world. The omelet with bacon was so good or maybe he was hungry, or maybe both.
"Are you ready to go master?" asked Tokiko.
"Right, I-" blue eyes widened realizing he forgot something important.
"Oh no my book bag!"
"Master has been forgetting that lately" Saika replied in a teasing tone.
"Cut me some slack!" he ran back to his room.
Both ladies smiled. The blond has become such a dear guest for them.
Jaune bid farewell to Tokiko when they arrived to the school. He met up with Sakura and Rinko, ready to head to class. Yukikaze has already went to her class. The Arc got used of their company becoming good friends with the two Taimanins. It was great but it wasn't easy to let his eyes travel to their chest. What to do when you have hot girls as your classmates. They took their seats as the room was already filled with the rest of the students. Currently waiting for their home teacher to arrive.
The blond spotted more of the people he got acquainted since he started. One of them was Maika Kamimura, another buxom girl with knee length orange hair and purple eyes. Wearing the Gosha uniform with a blue tie. Maika was talking to other students laughing hard and being her usual loud self. She was tomboyish with a potty mouth and very impulsive. Jaune noticed she was looking at him and greeted him with a grin. He smiled returning the gesture.
The Arc felt as someone was staring at him, and he was right. Blue eyes saw Kirara was the one gazing at him. In the two and a half months he's been Gosha he was able to get to notice the blond girl. She didn't spoke much to him. Sometimes she will avoid him other times, she will attempt to make small talk that only lasted like a minute. It confused him how she will act nice and suddenly a bit rude. Kirara turned her gaze away as her cheeks flushed. The Huntsman sighed, giving up.
The door slid opened as Murasaki emerged. The classroom went silent at the arrival of the teacher. They have taken their books once the young woman got into her desk. Murasaki teaches general history as well as Taimanin history, along with information of many types of demons. Important knowledge that will be helpful when they go to missions. Jaune has learned a lot, from the history of this world. Others like foundation of Japan and the many wars that made the country what it is today.
They were doing a review of the topic covered last time. One thing Jaune learned about Gosha Academy, it was harder than Beacon. He needed to study so much to the point that he burned his eye lashes. At least he will do study groups with Sakura and Rinko. Both are smart and always pay attention. His grades, he can consider them to be decent so far. And it wasn't easy studying while training. It felt like he was in this world longer than two and half months. His hopes were high that he was progressing and getting stronger.
The one thing he was looking forward the most about the school were the team selections. Every once a week, students will get selected to take part in missions. Ordered by the headmistress but only the homeroom teacher will select the candidates to participate. This was the whole reason the Arc has been busted his behind through a lot of training. Hoping will get selected and prove he can be a great asset to the Task Force. So far, he hasn't been chosen yet. Today might be it.
Selections can happen on Thursdays or Fridays so he was keeping close eye on anything Murasaki would say. His entire attention were on and the review the indigo haired teacher was giving. Jaune was determine to do his best and ace the upcoming test. He was doing pretty good so far since he started. Only B+'s but that was still good. But having good grades weren't enough, he knew it. At the end of the day it was about showing your strength in missions. Being a Taimanin wasn't so different than being a Huntsman.
"I can do this. I've been working hard, I should be able to handle myself."
The Arc needed to give his one hundred perfect specially now, that he was alone. No team, or teammates. He would still have teammates if he does get chosen like Sakura and Rinko maybe, Yukikaze too. Maika and Kirara can also take the spot too. Even if Ren, Nora, Oscar and Team RWBY will never be replaceable. Now he was getting after Murasaki finished the lecture of the review. It was getting hard to act normal.
"That will be all for the review for next week's test. Make sure you study" Murasaki went to her desk with a piece of paper on a paper clip.
Jaune's eyes lit up for a moment seeing the familiar piece of paper. There's no doubt she's going to do the mission selections. No need to wait for tomorrow.
"Now, I'll be announcing the candidates for this week's mission. As always, those selected will know the details on tonight's briefing" the teacher checked the paper.
"Please let me be selected. Just one mission will do" The Arc was mentally crossing his fingers.
"Kirara, Sakura, Rinko, Maika…."
"Fuck yeah!" The orange haired girl cheered always gets excited to be on a mission.
"Language" scolded the homeroom teacher as she resumed with the selection.
"And…."
"Please, come on" Jaune was starting to lose hope.
"Hibiki."
The Arc sighed feeling frustrated. He lost count how many times his name was never mentioned. Shortly the bell rang as the first term has ended. All the students got up from their seats heading to the next classroom. Jaune was the only still seated not feeling like leaving yet. From the corner of his eyes he saw Sakura and Rinko looking worried for him. Yet, they left thinking he needed some time alone.
"You should get going Jaune. Don't want to be late for Tokiko-san's class" replied Murasaki.
The blond finally got up grabbing his book bag. The teacher was getting ready to receive the next group.
"I…." he paused.
"Yes?" the indigo haired woman turned to him.
"I was thinking I...Asides from the studying I've been doing nothing but training ever since I came to Gosha. I was hoping to get chosen for a mission-"
"We talked about this already. You're not ready to handle a mission yet. Keep on training and maybe you'll get selected."
Jaune felt frustrated at her answer. She said the same thing last week and the week before. There was no point in resuming the conversation. He got up and left the classroom without a glance at the indigo haired teacher.
The rest of the classes went by so quickly but the Arc was still in deep thought. All he could think of is wanting to take part of the missions and Murasaki's answer. Sometime he wonder if the indigo haired teacher had some resentment towards him. She was always serious and strict guess, those were qualities to be a teacher. Nothing like Tokiko who was the complete opposite. The blond went to the cafeteria heading for the long line of students.
His thinking was interrupted when he saw the person in front of him, who took notice of his presence. A young male looking in his mid teens with blue hair ad purple eyes, wearing the same male uniform. Jaune smiled staring at another friend he made during the start of his school life in this world. Tatsuro Akiyama and younger brother of Rinko. He was a good person that was easy to get along with, just like his sister. Making friends in a big school was great. No need to get lonely being surrounded by strangers.
"Hey Jaune."
"Hey, Tatsuro."
"You okay, you sound a bit off today?"
"Just another day in Gosha Academy" he didn't wanted to bring his anger and frustration about mission selections to the young Akiyama.
"Cheer up. Tomorrow's Friday."
"Thank goodness" it was a relief the weekend was right around the corner.
Once they got their tray with food, they went to search for an empty table and it wasn't easy because there were plenty of them occupied. Until someone was waving at them. The two males for their table as Sakura was the one waving, signaling them to come sit with her and the rest. The short haired Taimanin was accompanied by Rinko, Yukikaze, Maika and Kirara.
Jaune didn't know where to get seated until Rinko and Sakura saved him a spot between them. As for Tatsuro, Yukikaze was the one to saved a spot for him. Maika was seated in the corner texting on her phone while Kirara was next to Yukikaze. The busty blond took a few chances to steal glances at the Arc without anyone noticing.
The tanned petite blushed next to the teen. Rinko smirked at the scene of course she knew her best friend has like her brother for a while and vice versa.
"So Tatsu, when are you going to ask Yuki out?"
Both teens blushed and the older sister chuckled. It was so fun to tease them.
"Be nice Rinko-chan" Sakura chuckled.
"I'm only being honest. I'd say its time they go on a date and spend some alone time together."
"Knock it off!" Yukikaze's face was so red.
"Sis…." poor Tatsuro couldn't say another word.
"Give her a break would you?" said Kirara coming to the defense of the petite girl.
"Okay, okay, I'll quit."
Jaune smiled at the scene. Hanging out with them has help ease his frustration a little. Strange he didn't felt like he had an appetite and the food of the cafeteria is always top notch quality. Maybe he should try to be patient and continue his training. Yet he still has a yearn to show them what he's made of. His expression wasn't ignored by the people in the table.
"You okay Jaune? Oh I know! Why don't you come to my place and play video games after school? I just got this new game and its awesome!" said Sakura.
"Except that you can't because we have a mission tonight" reminded Rinko.
"Uh I forgot" she pouted.
"Are you still feeling off? I thought you were over stressed from school work?" asked Tatsuro.
"I'm just…I don't feel well…Because I..."
"It's the selection mission isn't it?" asked the long blue haired girl reading his mind.
"I haven't been called yet."
"No biggie, you'll get picked" assured the short blond haired girl.
The Arc stood in thought. He used to think that was the case when he started Gosha Academy. But now, he wasn't so sure.
"It's nothing to worry about. Everyone from class gets picked eventually" replied Yukikaze.
"I don't think that's true" said the Arc.
"It is true" spoke Kirara.
"The first time of the selection the homeroom teacher picks the candidates by alphabetical order."
Jaune was taken back a bit, a million things were running in his head.
"After, they're picked randomly. Depending on their performance in the last mission, they might get picked sooner than others. Seriously Jaune its in the student manual did you even read it?" Kirara frowned at him.
"Come to think of it. Everyone from our class were picked" Rinko stood in thought.
Everyone, except for Jaune.
"I'm sure Mu-chan has her reasons" Sakura sounded unsure, the realization hitting her.
"You know she doesn't like to be called that" said Yukikaze.
"I wonder…." Maika finally spoke as she was done texting.
"Is it just me, or has Murasaki sensei been acting like a bitch towards Jaune lately?"
"You can't call her that!" argued the short haired Taimanin.
"I don't care honestly. I just notice with the way she looks at him and how she talks to him. Seems like she has some sort of grudge. Definitely the behavior of a bitch."
"Murasaki sensei would never treat anyone like that. Sure we know she's strict and serious but she will never mistreat anyone. Specially a student from Gosha and from her own home group." said Rinko.
The group decided to bring a new topic while Jaune remained in thought. Maika's words have really given him a reason to think. And that wasn't all the new information brought in by Kirara prove an important point. Seems he will need to have another talk with his homeroom teacher.
It's been two days. Jaune went to the private gym in the center of Gosha village. He took Murasaki's test and had no problem with it. The results of studying hard and having Tokiko helped with the tutoring. The Arc was wearing a white shirt black sweat pants and white sneakers. During the test he didn't dare talk to the young woman, it wasn't the right time. It will have to be another day. Now, all he wanted was to have a good workout as part of his training.
The blond brought his small bag with his towel and water bottle. Going to the machines he noticed the place was empty. Guess not many would come so early in the morning. He wasn't alone as he saw the last person he wanted to see. Murasaki was present lifting a weight that looked impossible for the average person to lift. The indigo haired woman was wearing a black sports bra with a pink line, long black spandex pants with a pink line with black and white sneaker.
Jaune knew someone like Murasaki would come to the gym but he had no idea he will meet up with her now. The blond went to his workout. He will wait until she was done. Maybe he will have that talk with her sooner than he thought. Resuming his workout he never realized that Murasaki was aware of his presence ever since he walked in from the entrance. Yet she chose to ignore him and continue her workout.
A few hours later and Jaune noticed she was about to be done for the day. The indigo haired woman was holding her towel and drinking some water. This was the perfect chance since she was about to leave. The blond walked over to her but her eyes were already on him before he got too close.
"Yes Jaune?"
"I hope I'm not interrupting sensei."
"No. I was ready to go. Are you done too?"
"I'm not done yet but I don't mind taking time to talk to you. If you allow it?"
"Go ahead. If its about class thought, it will have to be another day."
"I need to talk about the mission selection."
Murasaki grew frustrated. Of course, what else he wanted to talk to her about.
"You know I don't like to repeat myself."
"Please just listen for a moment. A friend of mine said and its also written in the student manual that the first time the selection is held its done by alphabetical order."
"Yes I know. Your point?"
"My point being, according to my last name, I should have been the second to be called after Rinko. But you never called me Everyone from class got called at some point. Except for me.."
"….."
The Arc mentally took a deep breath wanting to sound calm and nice. He couldn't get Maika's words out of his mind.
"Is it just me, or has Murasaki sensei been acting like a bitch towards Jaune lately?"
"I-Have I done something or have I said something to offend you sensei?"
The indigo haired woman remained silent.
"If I did, then I am very sorry. I don't want to sound rude but, it feels like you haven't been treating me fairly unlike the rest of the class. Is it because I'm from another world, is that your reason for not picking me for missions?"
The look in his eyes was honest, his tone was honest. Murasaki wasn't going to stay quiet any longer. If he wanted the truth then, he shall receive it.
"All right. You haven't offended me in the least and It's not that you're from another world, I'm still trying to believe that. I don't think you're ready to go out there and you may never be ready."
The Arc was shocked at her blunt reply. Again he kept calm and maintain his composure.
"But I've been training hard ever since I got here. You know it. Every single day I wake up I get ready for school, I study and I train. It's been like that for almost three months now. How can you be so sure that I'm not ready?"
"For starters, you can't clear standard level of the battle simulation. The short version of it. If it was the expanded version you would have been dead by now."
So she's been keeping an eye on him. It was to be expected because she's his homeroom teacher. And it was also true. He still have trouble beating the battle simulation in its standard difficulty.
"You can train as hard as you can and it won't make a difference. Maybe you should stop."
Jaune tightened his fists.
"I was a team leader and I faced many dangers with my teammates. Been through a lot of crap during my journey. If you can give me the chance to show you-"
"Experience from another world doesn't count. I don't know what it was like in your world but this world, it is very dangerous. There's a lot of goodness worth fighting for, but there's also a lot cruelty and evil and sometimes, it overcomes the good."
"I have sent many Taimanins before and when they came back, they quit on the first mission. Traumatized to whatever they witnessed. They rather lived the rest of their lives bringing shame to their clan than go back out there. Others weren't so lucky. They never came back. Either they ran off from the fear and got killed in the process or because they got capture by the enemy and experienced the most humiliating thing a Taimanin could ever go through."
Murasaki's red eyes were flaring, her gaze piercing into Jaune's blue eyes. There was a lot of anger and hatred from her voice as if she was staring at the pure form of evil in the world.
"They get raped. Used as nothing but sexual tools to pleasure their perverted desires. Then they get drugged as their minds eventually break. They end up being sold as slaves to satisfy the need of others. Their sole purpose is to have sex and they can't live without it."
"….."
"Do you want to share their fate?"
Jaune manged to shake his head.
"Then stay here and keep training. You don't have what it takes to be a Tamanin."
The Arc calmed himself trying to say something. Right now Murasaki was livid, probably because of her speech. Thinking of all the Taimanin that never came back from their first mission. But he couldn't take no for an answer. Not when there are people who believe in him.
"That's not what Asagi-"
"DON'T YOU DARE SAY HER NAME!"
The blond took a step back at her sudden burst. He felt rooted to the ground.
"You don't bring her name in my presence, you're not worthy of it. You're not worth her time. You're an outsider and you are weak. You're even lucky to be in Gosha village. Be grateful that Asagi-sama showed you kindness and courtesy. And if you die out there, then her deeds will be for nothing. Stay here, behave and train if you want to. If you're lucky, you might get send to missions but only as a support."
She finally took off without another word. She was so upset leaving Jaune speechless and dumbfounded. How could this conversation took a turn for the worse.
Murasaki stood outside of the gym, she punched a vending machine smashing it into pieces due to her insane strength. She was so angry with herself knowing very well Asagi won't be happy if she finds out what she told Jaune.
"Damn it, why the hell did I say that?! It was out of line, I shouldn't been so harsh on him. It was unprofessional and uncalled for."
Jaune was heading back to the Fumma compound, still looking in shocked. The way Murasaki snapped getting so angry all of the sudden. At least he got an answer to why she never called him for missions. Somehow it didn't surprised him at all. He had similar experience with people saying he's not cut for the job or that he wasn't strong enough. This was the same guy he got his hand on forge transcripts to attend a Huntsman school and never because he earned it through hard training.
But he was really training since he arrived to this world to the point that he will exhaust himself. Studying every day to maintain good grades. All so he could be worth being someone to rely on, someone who can help others. Seems he was reliving his days in Remnant with meeting up to their expectations. His thoughts went to that day in Beacon after Team JNPR was born. He somehow ended up eavesdropping when he was near Team RWBY's dorm.
"I can't believe I'm not Pyrrha's partner" Weiss gave a sigh.
"But you have me for a partner instead!" cheered Ruby.
"Yeah ice queen my sister is a better partner than a cereal mascot" replied Yang.
Blake was just busy reading from a book.
"I'm still regretting it. But I can't believe Jaune of all people became Pyrrha's partner. The guy doesn't have any talents let alone strength. Makes me wonder how he got admitted to Beacon."
"Don't say that. Jaune worked hard and you saw how he dealt with the Deathstalker. He lead his team to victory like a true leader would" defended the red cloak girl.
"Asides from possible good leadership what else is he good at?"
"He's nice and pretty cool. He's nervous, being in a new place with strangers but who wouldn't be?" asked the red cloak leader asking from personal experience.
"Those aren't the qualities I'm looking for. He doesn't look like he can put up a fight he's...Well, weak."
"Stop being mean Weiss! Yang tell her!"
"Um...Maybe she's right."
"What?" the red cloaked girl turned to her sister shocked.
"I mean, sure Jaune seems like a good leader but next to Pyrrha, he looks weak. I'm starting to wonder if he got any training to begin with."
"I'm glad we can agree on something. Beacon is not a school for the weak."
Jaune stood silent letting those words from Weiss sink deep into his head. More words came as another memory emerged. Another chance when he eavesdropped on Team CRDL.
"We're officially a team. I can't wait until we show the rest of Beacon who is the best team in Vale" said Cardin.
"That's not all. We made it back before the other teams did during the initiation exam" followed Russell.
"And we got lucky too. We barely encounter any Grimm making it easier to return to the cliff" said Dove.
"Bunch off fools that ended fighting a Nevermore and a Deathstalker" chuckled the team leader.
"Even if they defeated them" added Sky Lark.
"Whatever. We could have beaten them too. That guy Jaune I met during the ceremony looks so weak compare to the rest of his team. I only startled him and he got so scared it was hilarious. The headmaster made a bad choice making him a leader."
"Think you can take him on Cardin?" said Russell.
"No contest. I'll beat him up again and again. No way I will lose to that weakling."
By now tears emerged as the Arc did the best not to sob. Without realizing it he was now in the stair case that leads to the Haruchi Shrine. When he got to the shrine there was no one. The priestess Mia didn't seemed to be around. Blue eyes were on the locked door that leads inside and the spirit stone, where the hero Yaksha is sealed. Strange he hasn't heard his voice in two and a half months.
Droplets started falling as it was now raining. Jaune chuckled at the irony. It was matching how he was feeling. Not caring he was getting soaked and besides, he forgot to bring his umbrella.
"Are you listening?" he spoke straight to the temple.
"Why haven't you been calling me? Did you found out from Murasaki that I'm not cut out to be a Taimanin because I'm weak?! You don't see me worthy either?!"
No response. Only the sound of the rain could be heard.
"For almost three months I've been busting my ass through training everyday! I've been studying so hard to the point that I would exhaust myself. And yet I can't get a single A+ just like I can't see any progress on my training. I feel like whenever I take a step forward, I take ten steps back! It's back to square one for me!"
"I am destine to be weak? I'm just useless, is that it…?"
"Jaune, you will become strong no matter what. You're dedication is proof of your resolve. But it won't be easy. It will take time, maybe years. Don't worry I'll be right there beside you to make sure you become the best that you can be."
Pyrrha's words of confidence made him teared up. She, Ruby, Ren and Nora were the only ones that believed in him. Now they were gone and he was all alone.
"Why are things so damn hard when it comes to me?! I train and train and I see no difference, why?!"
"Back in Remnant, all I wanted was to become a hero and make my family proud! Make my dad smile and say" I'm proud of you son." That will never happen now..."
"I just want to be useful, I want to be strong and help people. Is that too much to ask? What do I have to do to prove myself?! Turns out, I wasn't cut out to be a Huntsman and now...it seems I'm not cut out to be a Taimanin either. Is Murasaki right? I'm…."
He sobbed as the rain continues to pour harder, followed by the thunderclap.
"Asagi is counting on me, she believes in me. It hurt so much when Pyrrha believed in me and I...failed her in the end. I don't want that to happen again, don't want to disappoint her. It scares me that she will say" I was wrong about you Jaune you don't belong in Gosha." Please just...I need a sign that I can continue on this path…."
His blue eyes hardened, clenching his fist.
"IF YOU CAN HEAR ME SAY SOMETHING!"
Yet, no response came from inside the temple as the rain and thunder resumed. The Arc ended up falling on his knees sobbing feeling like it was all hopeless.
"Sorry to let you down Asagi…." he whispered.
"You wanted to see me Asagi-sama?"
"Yes, come in."
Murasaki entered the headmistress's office getting seated. The indigo haired woman was trying to forget what happened at the gym yesterday. It didn't matter she was here, needed by the young woman. She will always be there for her in a heart beat. Asagi was currently filling some papers, school work obviously. So she would patiently wait until she was done.
The headmistresses removed her glasses taking a break from the paperwork.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting. Have to be ready for this year's upcoming events."
"It's all right Asagi-sama. Take all the time you need."
The dark blue haired Taimanin has taken folder to the front. Murasaki saw Jaune's name on it proving the headmistress has taken the blond student's file from her. She won't complain. As the headmistress, she has full authority to take any student file and keep it for as long as she sees fit, without the homeroom teacher's approval. Asagi opened checking all of the content in it including the exams he has taken since he started at the school.
"Jaune has done well in only two months during his stay. I was told from the rest of the teachers that he's a good and a hardworking student."
"That is true. He works harder than the average student" Murasaki was being honest and yet guilt was eating her on the inside.
It was hard to ignore what happened at the gym. Her cold words to the blond young man.
A smile spread the headmistress features feeling proud for him. The indigo haired woman didn't like seeing her so happy for him. She's being acting so kind towards him and it feels like she was getting too close for comfort. Her composure remain as she stood seated.
"Is that how you truly feel Murasaki?"
Asagi's tone changed a bit and her expression grew wary.
"Excuse me?"
"About Jaune, I mean. Is that how you feel about him?"
"Y-Yes...Why would you ask me?"
The headmistress heard her hesitation. Her eyes narrowed slightly.
"Is there's anything you would like to tell me?"
The guilt was too much and the pressure she has put on her was clear that somehow she knew of the events at the gym.
"I ran into him at the gym yesterday and he asked why I haven't send him on a mission yet. Which I already discussed with you."
"Yes. When he started class you said he wasn't ready and I agreed. When he's ready you'll send him" Asagi suddenly blinked seeing the teacher's expression.
"Murasaki you haven't send him yet? It's been almost three months, don't you think he's ready by now?"
"I don't think he's ready yet."
"But he's been training non stop balancing it with his studies for weeks. For his first mission we can assign him a standard mission if needed, even add him a partner."
Murasaki stood in thought remembering her harsh words towards the blond.
"Is there more?"
"I...I said some mean things to him…."
Asagi was shocked.
"I basically told him he was too weak to join us. That he doesn't have what it takes to be a Taimanin…."
The indigo haired teacher didn't have the courage to look at the young woman's eyes. But she knew she was disappointed in her and she hated it.
"Why...Why would you say that to him?"
"…."
"Answer me Murasaki!" she raised her voice.
"He's an outsider, I don't see him worthy. He's not Taimanin material."
Of course she was lying. She honestly didn't care if Jaune was from another world. Her reasons for disapproving of him were matters of the heart, simply known as jealousy. She's seen how Asagi has look at him and she was being too nice with him. The headmistress has gotten quite close with him in a short matter of time. The feeling angers her and disgusted her.
"Whether he's worthy to be a Taimanin or not that is up to me to decide. I will be the judge of that, not you. And I have decided he is worthy and he will be a Taimanin."
The dark blue haired woman kept her calm slowly thinking the following words. This was the first time something like this has ever happened.
"I can't believe this. I honestly can't believe this. Of all people Murasaki you. I've known you since we were kids and you're the person who has always been the most loyal and one to follow the rules by the letter. Always has been."
"Except for today, it seems…."
The teacher felt terrible with herself. Never in her entire life thought Asagi will be lecturing her like this.
"You, a teacher of Gosha Academy who knows BETTER than anyone that what you did yesterday was wrong in so many levels. That is not the attitude and proper behavior for a teacher to act. And with a student of your own homeroom class none the less. It goes against all morals of our school."
"In fact, I shouldn't be telling you this in the first place because YOU know it!" Asagi regained her composure, she was just so upset with the woman before her.
"Everyone in this school sees you as a role model to follow. Many of the students wishes to be like you. How will they react when they find out you shunned a student because you believe he's not worthy to be here or even fight for the right cause according to your logic. Everyone deserves a chance no matter who they are."
"I took Jaune in because he put his life at risk trying to protect an innocent woman from getting rape by demons. True, he didn't know they were demons to begin with but it wouldn't have made a difference. He would still fight for what is right whether he's weak or strong. We both know seeing someone with such traits in this day and age is very rare. Point is, Jaune is a student of Gosha Academy and he will be treated equally like the rest."
"What you did Murasaki was unforgivable. You basically stomped on his pride and on his dreams. I never thought I would ever see the day where I would be disappointed in you.
Said teacher was doing her best not to tear up. She felt her heart getting crushed to pieces.
The headmistress got up from her desk trying to calm down. She wanted to solve this problem now.
"You know you did wrong, right?"
"Yes Asagi-sama" Murasaki replied quickly.
"Then you know what you have to do. You will apologize to him immediately and I don't want to hear from this ever again."
"Yes Asagi-sama!" she got up from the seat ready to leave the office.
"And Murasaki…?" the headmistress's tone changed again to a cold one.
This time Murasaki eyes gaze into hers. It felt like they were piercing right through her soul.
"If this happens again...You will be remove from your position. Understood?"
She only nodded leaving the office in a hurry.
Asagi gave a sigh, her eyes fell on the window staring at nowhere in particular. Green eyes softened at the thought of Jaune.
The headmistress stood in a corner near the shrine holding an umbrella. She saw Jaune in front of of the temple. The Taimanin wanted to comfort him but anything she tells him won't do much. This was something that only blond could solve on his own. He needed some time alone. She still couldn't believe Murasaki would say such thing.
"You're wrong Jaune. You can become strong, you can succeed. Just don't stop believing in yourself. Don't let Murasaki's words change your resolve."
Jaune was only playing with the food on his tray. The cafeteria was busy as usual. The Arc was ignoring the chattering and noise gazing at his plate. No appetite as all he could think of were Murasaki's words. No idea what to do now. Continue to studying, getting B+ and train his ass out. Or just quit and do nothing. It sounded tempting but what will be the point to give up. That's not what Pyrrha would want or Asagi.
The ones present in the table were staring at him with worry looks. Sakura, Rinko, Tatsuro, Kirara heck even Yukikaze. Maika was so tempted to smack him to see if knocking some sense into him will snap him back to reality. He looked pitiful, whatever happened was enough to turn him into a silent stranger.
"Um...What should we do?" asked the younger Akiyama.
"I don't know. Just what is wrong with him?" said Yukikaze.
"He's been like this since arriving at school" followed Sakura worried.
"It's like he's not here" replied Kirara hiding her concern obviously.
Rinko waved her hand in front of the young man. Not even a reaction. She even snapped her fingers nope, nothing.
Maika dialed on her phone and shortly the Arc's phone was ringing. It was coming from his pants pocket. Looks like he wasn't planning of picking it up. The gyaru girl was ready to lose it.
"Hey Arc! Wake the fuck up!"
Still nothing from the blond male resuming to play with his food. The group looked like calling it a quits except for two girls. Sakura and Rinko looked at each other, they weren't going to leave him like this. It was that obvious something was wrong with him. They were going to do something about it.
"Jaune, you there?"
"Wanna tell us why you've been so silent for half a day?"
"You know it's okay to tell us. We're friends and friends tell each others problems."
Rinko started pocking his face waiting for a reaction. It wasn't helping and Sakura frowned, she has had about enough of this. There was one thing she could do and this will definitely bring him back to them.
"Jaune…?"
Her cheeks got red as she muster the courage to do the following. Taking his hand she put it right into her left breast. The whole table was stunned at the sudden act. They were all blushing as the younger Igawa did the unthinkable. Jaune finally reacted feeling something very soft on his hand, like a pillow. Turning to see where his hand was touching, blue eyes widened, face turning red. He was touching her boob and just like that he immediately removed the hand feeling so embarrassed.
Maika was laughing her ass out at the bold approach from the short haired girl.
"I was planning to do the same thing!"
"Ugh, of course that has to worked, men" Kirara wasn't happy as her cheeks were still red.
"That was pretty effective" followed Rinko she didn't even thought of doing that.
"How could you do that!?" Yukikaze was outraged or maybe because she lacks in the department.
"I'm SO SORRY! I have no idea-"
"It's okay Jaune it wasn't your fault. I made you touched it" Sakura was still blushing.
"Huh? W-Why would you do that?"
"You weren't reacting at all. Its like you weren't here with us."
"You've been so quiet for a while. We were worried" said Rinko.
"I….." the Arc gave a sigh, guess he was indeed somewhere.
"I'm sorry everyone for worrying you. Just had a lot on my mind lately."
"Wanna tell us about it?"
The blond stood in thought. Might as well tell them after they were concerned.
There were some murmurs going in the cafeteria as a figure were approaching the Arc's table. Jaune wasn't happy as Murasaki stood next to him. Great, now what does she want. It was enough that she stepped on his pride and confidence. Their eyes met, blue vs red. There was short silence while the students on the table were surprised at the teacher's presence.
"Jaune Arc?" started his homeroom teacher.
To their surprise the indigo haired woman has given a bow, keeping her head down.
"Forgive me Jaune Arc. For my behavior the other day, for my words. They were harsh and uncalled for. You didn't deserve it, I was in the wrong. As you're homeroom teacher I should have known better. I promise you it will never happen again."
The blond was stunned. Not because of her words but because her apology didn't sounded honest at all. It sounded forced. The Arc wasn't going to have any of it, he wasn't stupid. The rest of the group was confused, why was Murasaki apologizing to him.
"No...You're not."
"….."
"You're not really sorry. This has to be the first time I've heard a fake apology before."
Murasaki gazed back at him. There was a fire in his blue eyes. But it wasn't of anger but, of determination.
"The only reason you're apologizing is because Asagi gave you a lecture. Am I right or am I wrong?"
She didn't replied.
"Yeah, I thought so. I will not accept your apology so you can save your breath."
By now, the whole cafeteria has grown quiet. Murasaki was shocked at his reply. She wasn't expecting this.
"What you said back at the gym was true except for the part of me not being ready to be a Taimanin. So I don't want an apology, I want something else."
"This is my chance to prove her wrong. I am done being push around."
"I'm not asking for acceptance or respect sensei Murasaki. All I want is to show you the results of my training. That's why I challenge you to a fight!"
There was a loud gasp from everyone in the cafeteria. Sakura, Rinko, Yukikaze, Tatsuro, Kirara and Maika were all shocked. A student just challenged a teacher to a match. That has never happened before. Jaune has got up from the table meeting the woman face to face. Their eyes met.
Murasaki kept staring at him. His eyes were saying a lot. Refusing won't do because he wasn't planning to take no for an answer. Great just what she needed. Asagi wasn't going to be happy. She will give him credit for being stubborn and determine. With the commotion created in the cafeteria it won't be long before the headmistress finds out. How she will explain without getting fire.
"Do you accept?"
"Come to the sports field in one hour. Don't be late."
The announcement spread throughout the school like wildfire. Everyone found out the new student was facing a teacher in the sports field. The hour passed quickly as a big crowd gather in the battle ground. Jaune was the first to arrived with his weapon. No time to change into his battle gear, he was looking forward to this. So many thoughts were running in his head, fear, anxiety and the adrenaline rushing in.
The Arc knew very well what he was getting into. And it got a little weird when the students started cheering. Probably because this was first time a bout was going to take place in the school. He saw Sakura, Rinko, Yukikaze, Tatsuro, Kirara and Maika not that far. They were actually cheering. He sweat dropped, was it for him or for Murasaki. The blond's eyes widened as Asagi arrived walking to him and not looking happy.
"I...I can explain."
"No need. Murasaki already explained everything. What were you thinking, you know fighting is not allowed in school grounds?"
"It's just a sparring match nothing serious. If it gets out of hand you can call it off. I'm sorry Asagi but I must do this. I have to show her I'm ready."
"Well the students don't think so" the headmistress gazed at the big crowd of students in anticipation.
The Almighty Taimanin gave a sigh, rubbing her forehead. Why was he so stubborn and determine. And at the same time she admire such traits from the Arc.
"Very well. I already allowed it. I can make an exception just this once. However Jaune, this will not go unpunished. I will think of your proper punishment as the match is taking place. Are we clear?"
"Crystal" he nodded.
"Good luck. You're going to need it."
Jaune stepped forward heading to the middle of the sports field. It was very wide. Perfect for a fight.
"Go Jaune!" said Sakura.
"You can do it!" followed Rinko.
"He doesn't stand a chance" said Yukikaze.
"It's only a sparring match, not a death match" replied Tatsuro.
"He's still going to get owned."
"What an idiot. I really can't understand what goes in his head" grumbled Kirara.
"Kick her ass Jaune!" Maika raised her fist.
The Arc shook his head while smiling. At least he had his small band of cheerleaders supporting him. His opponent has arrived. Blue eyes focused seeing Murasaki arriving at the opposite side of the field. Like him the indigo haired woman was still wearing her teacher attire and only had her weapon. The blond stood in fear at the size of the axe she was holding. It was massive, the thing looked like it weights a lot. The scariest thing how the young woman was lifting like it was a big feather.
"Right on time. Hope you're not getting any second thoughts. You can still back down if you wish."
"No. I want this. This match means everything to me" he unsheathed Crocea Mors and readied his shield.
"So beat it."
"Remember to go easy on him Murasaki" thought Asagi.
Murasaki has removed her glasses putting them on her white coat pocket. Tightening the hold of her ninja axe, she went into her fighting stance. Jaune has done the same thing. Remembering all the training he did in both Remnant and this world. Taking into consideration all the advice Pyrrha has given him. This time he was alone, no teammates to back him up. Both stood still waiting on who will make the first move.
"I won't fail...I refuse to fail here. Not when they're watching me. Asagi is watching me."
(Music: "Roar of the Underdog" by Dynazty)
This is your ambition
Your vision
You don't back from your position
You enquire
You desire
Play to win, there can be only one
Jaune has charged straight at the teacher. It was a reckless move he knew it but, he had other plans. Taking a quick right going for a sword strike and Murasaki dodged it with ease. The Arc performed a barrage of attacks as the indigo haired woman dodged all of them with little effort. The blond was smirking that she wasn't using her weapon as he thought. The only reason she brought the big axe is for intimidation.
After all, this was a sparring match and it was clear she was going to hold back. Jaune was no fool to underestimate her still. Murasaki Yatsu was consider the second strongest Taimanin in Gosha next to Asagi. Charging again and he went to the left, following by an attack from the back. She dodged and he countered with his shield leaving the teacher to jump out of the way. Throwing his shield Murasaki caught it with one hand when she landed. She was surprised, not expecting such move.
"I'm just getting started sensei!"
Every hit feels unclimbable
But the power of will can defeat anything
You're unbreakable
It's the moment you chose
That you never can lose
Throwing caution straight to the wind
You will rise to your best
When you're put to the test
You're unchangeable
A quick thrust but Murasaki blocked using his own shield. She countered with a roundhouse kick that knocked him off balance. The students were going wild cheering for the Arc. While others, for the teacher. Jaune did his best to regain his footing but he was caught by a punch from his homeroom teacher that sent him crashing to the ground. Now she made sure not to hit any vital spots and did her best not to hit him too hard.
"Not yet…." he slowly got up.
Blue eyes widened as the indigo haired woman threw his shield right at him. He blocked it with Crocea Mors, only to be met by the sharp tip of a knife. The Arc couldn't believe Murasaki was holding the small weapon.
"Just because I'm not using my main weapon, doesn't mean I won't use a weapon at all."
"You're devious sensei."
"Expect the unexpected. Demons won't hold back or show mercy."
His shield wasn't that far so he needed to act fast. He gasped as the teacher made the next move. It was easy to blocked the knife with his sword, he needed to get his shield back.
There can be only
One way
One life
One chance to make it all count
Show your fearless
Let them hear your roar
The roar of the underdog
The student resumed cheering. Sakura, Rinko,Tatsuro and Maika were screaming in favor of the blond. To think he was holding out this long against Murasaki. Though Yukikaze and Kirara weren't that impressed. Just like everyone else, they knew the teacher wasn't breaking a sweat in the least. There was a reason why she's the second strongest Taimanin.
This is here
This is the now
This is the chance to make it all count
Show your fearless
Let them hear your roar
And he roared like a lion going for the kill. Jaune has lunged at Murasaki with Crocea Mors with the attempt to remove the knife from her hand. But the teacher was too quick with a dodge, grabbing him by his neck as she pinned him to her axe that was still stabbed on the ground. The students gasped. She ended up stabbing his left shoulder but it was a minor wound. The indigo haired Taimanin gave her word to Asagi that she won't hurt the blond badly.
The roar of the underdog
(Music end)
Time seems to have stood still at the sport field. The students were in awe even if they knew the outcome. They knew it was over though, the challenger wasn't that bad. Jaune groaned from the injury but he could still fight. This was far from over, it was just beginning. He went for another attack but Murasaki has kicked his sword away leaving him defenseless. No sword and shield, he was at the mercy of the young woman.
"It's over Jaune. You lose."
"Did I?" a smirk spread his features.
He swung a fist but she caught it and threw him to the ground, he was struggling to break free from her hold.
"Enough! We're done here. Asagi-sama called the match off!"
"DON'T!" he shouted to the headmistress.
"Not yet…."
"Stop being so stubborn."
"Not yet…."
The Taimanin lost her cool as she slammed him to the ground. That will keep him down. She dusted herself noticing her clothes were dirty.
"Jaune!" both Rinko and Sakura shouted.
"Sakura, Rinko take him to the medical bay at once!"
The two girls ran to the blond.
"Stop!"
Asagi joined them shocked that he was still trying to get up.
"You can't be serious. Stay down already" Murasaki was frustrated.
All she got for a reply was a chuckle. Now that he thought about it, his body was starting to hurt. Guess the sparring match was doing a number on him. Jaune was slowly getting up.
"What are you trying to prove. Just stop it!" now his homeroom teacher was worried.
"Jaune please, this match has gone long enough. It's all right to admit defeat. You did admirably" said Asagi.
"Yeah, you were great!" followed Sakura.
"You fought with honor too" said Rinko proud of his performance.
"Thanks...But this match was never about losing or admitting defeat…."
The Arc was struggling to his feet, refusing help from anyone. He had no idea why he was getting emotional.
"Next to Pyrrha he looks weak."
"Beacon is not a school for the weak."
"No way I will lose to that weakling."
"Weak…."
Jaune's body was glowing with the color of his aura. Everyone present stood shocked. Asagi, Sakura, Rinko and Murasaki. At the crowd, Yukikaze, Tatsuro, Kirara, Maika, Tokiko and Saika. They were in awe and were able to feel the power that was emerging from the blond young man.
The Arc's eyes teared up as memories were overflowing like his entire life was being projected before him.
"I'm sorry Jaune, my son. We have been training for so long but you...You haven't progress at all. I know it takes time but maybe, this isn't for you. Maybe being a Huntsman isn't your calling. You can be something else, you're good at gardening, you can help your mother and sisters. I will support you either way."
He struggled to his feet in tears as he reached the handle of the giant axe.
"What are you doing, stop?!" called Murasaki.
"Jaune that is enough, the fight is over. You can stop now!" followed Asagi worried
"I don't care if I'm weak...I will continue to live, to train, to sweat, to cry, to live, to breathe…."
"You can do it Jaune. I will always believe in you" smiled Pyrrha.
"I WILL TRAIN UNTIL MY BODY BREAKS!"
His aura flared up, shocking those close to him. The students and Tokiko watching in the back were in awe.
"Such power." Asagi was in disbelief.
"Until my spirit breaks!"
Grabbing the handle of the axe with both hands, he tightened the hold.
"Pyrrha you never stop believing in me no matter how weak I was…."
The Arc screamed sounding like the roar of someone who wanted to hear his cry throughout the whole world.
"I WILL TRAIN UNTIL I DIE!"
With one full push, Jaune was able to lift the axe from the ground by an inch. This was noticed by everyone as they stood shocked. Murasaki was more shocked than the rest. But that's all it took for his aura to vanished, the weapon hit the ground again and the blond has collapsed losing conscious.
"Jaune!" gasped Asagi, Sakura and Rinko.
Eyes opened to see that he was in the medical bay of the school. His body felt so tire. Jaune was starting to remember what happened that he ended up here. The match with Murasaki and passing out, that was all. He noticed he was shirtless and his left shoulder was patched. The wound he got from his homeroom teacher when she used the knife. The Arc saw someone seated on a desk, the nurse.
Brown hair tied in pig tails with lavender eyes wearing a white lab coat, white blouse with long white skirt and white socks and shoes. Yuuna Shinjou, that was her name. He remembered meeting the nurse on his first days in the school.
"You're awake!" Yuuna smiled at the blond.
"How are you feeling dear?"
"Tire."
"No surprise. You lost consciousness from exhaustion. As for the wound in your shoulder, it was already healed before I had the chance to look at it. Your healing speed is impressive. So no biggie."
"How long-"
"An hour, or a little more. That was quite the match young man. Frankly I never thought to see one in the school. I thought they're not allowed."
"Am I clear to go?"
"Yes. Try to get some rest oh and your homeroom teacher has been checking up on you frequently."
Jaune was taken back that Murasaki would visit him. Sure, he's a student from her homeroom and she has every right to check up on him. His thoughts were interrupted as the door opened and came the indigo haired teacher.
"Murasaki-san, you're just in time. He's awake" said Yuuna.
"Feeling better?"
The Arc was about to reply until she once again bowed before him. Just like in the cafeteria.
"Jaune Arc, I'm sorry for everything. Asagi-sama was right about you all along. You have potential and I was wrong. I should have believe in you more. As my student, I should have believe in you. Please, forgive me. The way I acted was so wrong and how I treated you was unfair. If you give me a second chance, I will be most grateful."
This time, he was able to hear the sincerity in her tone. She was really sorry. Then he wasn't going to give her a hard time. It made him glad to know his efforts during the match were paid off.
"It's okay sensei, but why the sudden change?"
"The match really opened my eyes to what you're capable of. You're the only person asides myself who was able to lift my weapon."
"Come on sensei don't exaggerate. I know it's a big and intimidating axe but surely it can't be that heavy."
"It weights six tons."
Blue eyes widened in pure shock.
"From this day on Jaune, I will treat you like an equal. Like any other student of Gosha and I will give you a mission. You're hardworking, I know you will become a great Taimanin someday."
The Arc's eyes teared up at her words. All the training he's done wasn't in vain. He got acknowledged by his own homeroom teacher.
"T-Thank you sensei…."
"Keep working hard. See you at class."
When Murasaki opened the door she spotted Sakura, Rinko and Kirara standing as if they were eavesdropping. The teacher frowned.
"Mu-chan, hey" spoke the nervous girl.
"Don't call me that. Back to class. You too Kirara.
"Me?! I only came here because I was feeling a little dizzy!" defended the busty blond.
"No one's buying it Kirara. You wanted to see Jaune too" Rinko smirked.
"You can talk to him later. Now, go."
The three students sighed walking away. Murasaki saw Asagi and the priestess Mia arriving in the hallway. She nodded to the mistress as she left. By now, Jaune has put on his shirt and tie, ready to leave the medical bay. Yuuna smiled seeing the two ladies as she left for a moment.
"Glad you're feeling well."
"I'm sorry Asagi for the fight. I know, I should have known better to follow the rules. But I...I really needed to do this."
"It's understandable. You changed Murasaki's perspective of you so I don't regret allowing the match. Still, you will get punish as mentioned."
The blond gave a sigh and nodded.
"By the way, why is Mia here?"
"I'm here to deliver a message to you" spoke the priestess.
"A message, for me?"
"I already spoke with Asagi-sama of this matter. But I will tell you too. Something extraordinary has happened at the shrine. The Hero Yaksha has awakened, and he wants to have a word with you."
Jaune blinked. Okay he didn't saw this coming.
Jaune had no idea why he wanted to talk to him. Mia lead the blond to the inside of the shrine just like before. The Arc was staring at the spirit stone in the middle. Just like the first time. Maybe he can finally get some answers from this being. He could be the voice he was hearing in his head months back.
"Mia, where are you going?" he saw the priestess about to walk off.
"The Yaksha hero said he wanted to talk to you alone. I shall respect his wishes. I will take my leave."
After the priestess, a long silence fell. The blond stood waiting, staring at the green stone. Nothing yet, he sighed and keep on waiting. After a while, he checked his phone for any texts and still nothing. The Arc finally grew tire of waiting.
"Hello? Are you there?"
Still no response.
"Mia told me you wanted to talk to me so, here I am."
Jaune sighed again this time tapping his foot. Just how long he needed to wait. This better not be someone's idea of a sick joke. The green stone was now glowing, the blond has put away his device.
"We finally meet, stranger from another world."
The blond stood in thought hearing the voice. No doubt, it was the same as the one from his head.
"It's you. You're the one who was calling me when I first came to this world three months ago?"
"Indeed. You were able to recognize me, I'm impressed."
"What do you want from me?"
"First let me tell you a little more about myself. You must have heard from the priestess that I am a Yaksha, a war demon. We're a powerful race with limitless potential when it comes to fighting."
"Mia said you're an ally of the Taimanins. You fought by their side once."
"True. I fought with them through many battles for...Hm, I suppose its been very long since then. Over seven hundred years if I'm not mistaken. It seems like it was just yesterday…."
Jaune noticed his change of tone. Sounding like he was lost.
"Apologies. Some of my memories are foggy. I don't even remember when or how I was killed. I only awaken a few months ago so excuse me if I lack details and knowledge."
"Why were you calling me, why do you want to talk to me? Sorry for the questions, I just need to know."
"No need to apologize. You came here searching for answers after all."
"I still haven't introduce myself. I am Jaune Arc."
"Honored to meet you Jaune Arc. I am Kensumaru The Yakhsa of Oblivion. Don't let the title scare you I'm an ally of the Taimanins and you're also their ally. So I'm your ally too."
"Can I call you Kensu for short, if its okay with you?"
"Hm...I see nothing wrong very well. Let me answer your questions. The reason I've been calling out to you is because you're the one who woke me from my slumber."
"I woke you up?"
"Ever since I was sealed into this spirit stone I've been in constant slumber. For over seven hundred years I'm been resting, trying to slowly recuperate my strength. Suddenly, I felt a powerful presence that eventually woke me from my sleep. That was you my boy."
"Was it you who sent me to this world?"
"I don't know, I don't think I did. All I know your arrival woke me up. At first I was confused why someone from another world would possess such feat. I wanted to find the answer until just recently, I felt your immense power. It was similar to my own in a way, we're connected."
Jaune stood in thought. The surge of power he must have felt is probably when he unleashed his aura during his match with Murasaki.
"How are we connected?"
"I think fate has chosen you my boy for an important task. Brought to this world and our meeting is no coincidence. I do believe you're chosen to become my successor."
"What? Me your successor?"
"You want to help Asagi Igawa and the Task Force, yes?"
"Yeah. I want to do my best to help them. I owe her that much."
"Fate is such a funny thing. To think, we will meet like this. Then its decided, I shall do everything in my power to aid you. You have a lot of potential to become very powerful. With the right training and teacher, you might rival or even grow stronger than the Almighty Taimanin."
Blue eyes widened feeling a light of hope shinning upon him.
"You want to train me?"
"Yes. That is, if you allow it."
"Of course! Any help is more than welcome" he was overjoyed.
"Good. But let me warn you Jaune. This training will be very difficult to the point you will have to risk your life. You might even die. Are you sure you wish to proceed?"
"I don't care. I want to become strong and help those in need."
"Good answer. We will begin the training tomorrow. Come back here early in the morning."
Jaune suddenly stood in thought.
"So, how are you going to train me? No offense Kensu but, you're a ghost."
"Ha! None taken I am a spirit of my former self. You will train with me inside the spirit stone. I have created a space with my mind. Like a home beyond your home."
"All right. Then I'll see you tomorrow."
As the blond left the spirit stone remain in its green glow.
"Hm...Jaune Arc, perhaps he could be the one to fulfill my dream" he chuckled.
To be continued
-Merry Christmas to everyone and a Happy New Year!
-Next chapter might be release before or in the same day as New Year's Eve or New Year's day.
-Roar of the underdog is one of my favorite Dynazty songs I just had to put it in the chapter.
-Someone asked me about the concept of aura. I know it's a shield that protects you from attacks and eventually it breaks once it gets low. Jaune can't form his shield, it will be explained in the next chapter.
-You know what, screw it I'm putting Yukikaze on the harem. Right now she likes Tatsuro but she can change her mind and realize she has stronger feelings for a certain blond. I think its normal for someone her age to have a crush and realize she likes someone else somewhere down the road.
-I know Murasaki acted like a bitch in this chapter but she immediately realized she was wrong. She's a team player now.
-Got complains that Jaune is weak or Jaune is stronger than this. We need to talk about this. People need to understand that Jaune is not an OP God like Goku, Naruto or Ichigo. I think he's strong but that not strong. Sure he has a lot of aura but what good is that if he hasn't had proper training. If it weren't for Pyrrha's training from v1 and 2 he would have been weaker. However I'm well aware he can be a smart and he's a good leader. I also think he can hold his own against a group of Grimm. However, the demons from this story are stronger than Grimm explaining why he couldn't defeat those demons he fought in the first chapter. But don't worry because he will get strong in this story.
-Another complaint is assuming that they know what's going to happen in the story like they've seen the future and drop it. Because apparently the Taimanins will get rape and Jaune will be forced to see it happen. Honestly it made me laugh. Just because I almost made it happened in the first chapter, it doesn't mean I'm willing to make it come true. As I already said on the AN from ch1 the Taimanins are stronger than in canon novels and games and they won't be helpless to get rape by demons. And Jaune will become stronger.
-Please remember that I am only following the story from the game Action Taimanin, not RPGX and not TABA. I might add some canon information but it will be bits.
-I can say things are going to get good in the coming chapters. So stay tune.
-As always thank you very much for the favs, follows reviews I really appreciate it.
