The giants hold a feast for Ben and Mira because he saved them from a hostile mage. Ben's talk with Atlas Flame came to a end and he learned some more about Acnologia. He also has a new mission, improve his training and get stronger at a faster rate.
While they all eat big portions of food, the elder giant called for Ben and Mira. "Human mages, you said you do commissioned jobs, right?"
"That's correct, but we only take jobs requested through our guild." Mira said.
"Is that so?" The elder giant asked with a disappointed tone.
"Do you have a job request for us?" Ben questioned him.
The elder nodded.
"Then you can just give it to us. We will process it in our guild for you later. This is just an administrative procedure, so it can be handed easily. But please bear in mind that we don't do jobs that are against the law, as we are a legal guild." Ben said.
"I don't know much about human laws, but I don't think our job request is against the law." The elder said hastily.
"Let's hear it then." Ben replied.
The elder giant then told them the giants' job request. It is to find and take care of a human girl who was raised by the giants. She was found at a young age and grew up along the giants, but she left sometime ago because she knew that she was different from the ones who raised her.
Her name is Flare, a teenage girl with red hair. Unfortunately, the giants don't have any pictures of her. They told Ben and Mira that Flare can manipulate her hair as a blessing from the Eternal Flame.
Ben asked more about her physical traits and the giants explained them in great detail. They are worried about her because she never socializes with other humans. The human world is full of danger, so the giants can't help but be worried about the child they raised.
The giants want Ben and Mira to find Flare and then take care of her. They know that they can trust Ben and Mira because the two of them are trusted by their guardian deity, the Eternal Flame. That's why they want the two to help Flare who didn't know anything about the human world.
Ben and Mira accept the job because it's something they can do. Having a good relationship with the giants is important. They might need the giant's help one day, so this can be viewed as an investment.
"Leave this to us. With my position, I will be able to find her quite easily." Ben said.
"Thank you, young humans." The elder giant said.
Ben and Mira spend the night there and decide to leave the next day. Before they left, Ben gave some of his Fire Magic to the Eternal Flame. Atlas Flame's power has gotten weaker over the years, so Ben's magic restored a lot of it.
"So this is lord Escanor's fire, truly magnificent." Atlas said as his flame got bigger and the heat around him increased.
"Then Atlas, giants, it's time for us to leave. We will do and complete the job you requested as soon as possible. If you need our help, just call us through this communication lacrima." Ben said while taking out a lacrima crystal ball.
It's very small compared to the giants but it can project the image on the wall and make it bigger, just like projectors on Earth. It is the result of one of Ben's experiments that he conducted when he was bored.
After bidding farewell to the giants, Ben and Mira leave using Light Runner. They want to continue their honeymoon and return home soon. It's been a few days since they left, so they need to go home soon.
While they were on the way back, Ben contacted his acquaintance in the Magic Council to search for Flare. With the Magic Council helping him, it will be much easier to find her. And he received the information a hour after he called his acquaintance.
"Raven Tail? So annoying." Ben sighed.
"Isn't that our master's son's guild?" Mira asked.
"Yeah, it's that annoying Ivan's guild. Let's call master first." Ben nodded.
He called Makarov and informed him of the job that he took. Makarov hasn't confronted Raven Tail directly. But now, Ben might need to do it and it will likely cause problems. That's why he called Makarov first.
"Do you really need to do that job?" Makarov asked.
"Master, the giants or Raven Tail, which do you think is more important for us?" Ben asked back.
Makarov became silent.
"Just don't kill anyone." He said.
"I can't promise that. They are currently a dark guild because their request to become a legal guild hasn't been accepted yet. So it's not illegal for me to kill anyone. At the very least, I can promise not to kill them if they don't try to kill me." Ben replied with a serious tone.
Makarov knows that Ben isn't joking. He is someone who won't let those who threatened his and his companion's lives leave in one piece if he can. Ben doesn't care if his target is his guild master's son and his friend's father. Ivan is no one to him.
"What should we do, Mira?" Ben asked after ending the call with Makarov.
"Hmm, let's do the job after we finish our honeymoon." Mira said.
"Alright." Ben said with a smile.
Ben and Mira continue their honeymoon by going to other places. They visit places they've never visited before and for the most part, these places were wilderness. It's an unusual honeymoon, but it's also a fun one for them.
4 days later, their honeymoon came to a end and they went to Raven Tail's base. As a dark guild, their base is far away from civilization, although the Magic Council knew where it was already. The Council hadn't taken any action against the guild.
"I don't know why they like to establish guilds in dark places like this just because they're called dark guilds. They took the name too literally." Ben said while looking at the eerie dark building in barren land.
"It matches their personalities, maybe." Mira said.
"It doesn't matter, let's finish this fast. I don't like this place." Ben sighed.
Both of them walk towards the eerie guild hall and suddenly a lot of people surround them. Ben sighed again because this is a typical dark guild attack. Mira giggles seeing Ben becoming annoyed with the small fries of Raven Tail.
"Intruder, do you kno-" A man wanted to say something, but Ben interrupted him.
"Stop! I don't want to hear your typical villain lines. Just bring Ivan here! Tell him that I have business with him." Ben said while displaying his Fairy Tail guild mark on his forearm.
The small fries were surprised by the Fairy Tail guild mark and assume battle stances. The man who asked earlier, ran to the guild hall to inform Ivan and their guild's elites. Soon, Ivan and their guild's elites come to meet Ben and Mira.
"Ben Cooper. I never thought you would come here yourself. What's your business here?" Ivan asked, rather warily.
Ivan has prepared a lot of things to take Fairy Tail on after establishing Raven Tail. He was confident that his guild members can defeat all Fairy Tail members, except one, Ben. Ben's power and growth are not something that Ivan and Raven Tail can handle.
"I'm here for one reason, Flare Corona." Ben said while looking at the red-haired girl standing among the elites.
"Why are you looking for her?" Ivan asked again.
"It's none of your business, but I'll tell you so we can finish this fast. Flare Corona, we were sent by the Sun Village and the Eternal Flame to find you. They are worried about you, so they asked us to take care of you." Ben said.
"B-But everyone here is taking care of me." Flare said shyly.
Ben was dumbfounded. Taking care of her? More like taking advantage of her because she doesn't know the norms in this world. It left Ben speechless. Fortunately, Mira knew exactly what to say.
"Flare-chan, do you trust them?" Mira asked.
Flare nodded, so Mira asked another question.
"Then, which one do you trust more? Them, or the Eternal Flame and Sun Village."
"O-of course, it's the Eternal Flame and everyone in Sun Village." Flare immediately said.
It hasn't been that long since Flare joined Raven Tail, so she wasn't that attached to them yet.
"Then you should come with us, as we are the ones trusted by the Eternal Flame, not them." Mira said.
Ben is impressed, but then he also thought, 'Damn, does this mean that I'll never be able to win a argument with her?'
