Flare looked down and decided to follow Ben and Mira. But then Ivan stopped them.
"Wait! How can we know you were really sent by this Eternal Flame?"
The other Raven Tail members join Ivan and ask them to show proof. Ben took out a communication lacrima and called the giants. A few seconds later, the giants picked up and Flare recognized them immediately.
But she doesn't dare talk to them as she left the village willingly. She thought that the giants would hate her for doing that. It's a lie because they wouldn't ask for Ben and Mira to find and take care of her.
The giants also show them the Eternal Flame and Atlas Flame himself told Flare to follow Ben and Mira. Now, Flare is sure that she needed to follow Ben and Mira. As a resident of Sun Village, Flare believed whatever the Eternal Flame told her.
Flare told Ivan that she was quitting Raven Tail to follow Ben and Mira, like the Eternal Flame told her to do. Ivan and the rest of Raven Tail didn't like it, but there's nothing they can do until they come up with a way to defeat Ben.
The only thing Ivan can do now is run his mouth. That turned out to be a fatal mistake because he made a huge blunder out of rage. Ivan insulted the Eternal Flame out of anger because Flare was leaving his guild.
"Hah, so you'll just leave and do what you want after everything I did for you. I don't know why you and these villagers listen to a stupid flame. It must be a demon, a fire demon. You all must be demon worshipers." Ivan said angrily.
Flare didn't take Ivan's insult towards the Eternal Flame kindly. She finally realized that Ivan wasn't a kind man like she thought he was. He knew that the Eternal Flame was her benefactor, but he insulted the Eternal Flame nonetheless.
"DON'T INSULT THE ETERNAL FLAME!" Flare angrily shouted while controlling her hair to attack Ivan.
However, before her hair can touch Ivan, it dropped to the ground and she falls to the ground weakly, so weak that she almost faints. Mira caught Flare and supported her to stand while Ben stood in front of the girl. He can't let the girl that was entrusted to him get hurt.
"I wanted to just let it slide and leave quietly if you remained silent because you are master's son. But you had to something unnecessary, Ivan Dreyar." Ben said with a threatening tone.
Ivan gritted his teeth and commanded his men to attack. There's nothing he can do in this situation if he wants to survive. He still has hope that his guild will be able to suppress Ben.
"You are too full of yourselves." Ben said as he activated his Sun God Slayer's Gravity Magic.
All the members of Raven Tail including Ivan and his elites fall to the ground. They even start sinking into the ground because of the super strong gravity. Ben's Sun God Slayer Magic's gravity had a pitch black color, so the area became very dark.
"A familiar with the ability to cancel magic, quite a good one you have there, Ivan." Ben said.
"Familiar? What are you talking about?" Ivan asked slowly because of the gravity's pressure, but he was confused.
Ben frowned before he smirked, "So it's not your familiar?"
Ivan is still confused, so Ben used his gravity magic's pulling power. He pulled a small creature off a big guy with blue hair and skin. The guy's name is Obra, but he is actually a puppet, the real Obra is the creature that was pulled by Ben.
Ben generated slashes with his sword that rip Obra's puppet body up. This revelation surprised everyone in Raven Tail, including Ivan. Obra had fooled him really well and he genuinely thought that the puppet was Obra's real body.
*Sniff sniff* Ben smelled something on Obra and it feels familiar, so he tries to smell it again.
"Well, well, well, what a surprise. I still remember this smell. So you're Zeref's familiar, huh? Zeref, the coward who ran away before Acnologia came to Tenrou Island. I've thought about it and I know that he knew about Acnologia's appearance on Tenrou Island. But he ran away even though I'm sure he was one of the reasons Acnologia was attracted to Tenrou Island."
"I don't know why dark mages worship someone like him. He's a immortal, but he doesn't have the guts to face Acnologia. But I'll make sure he and Acnologia leave this world. I don't care if he has a sad past like Acnologia. Those who hurt my loved ones won't have a good life." Ben said before burning Obra's body.
Obra can't even scream before his body was reduced to ashes. As a familiar, Obra must be connected to Zeref. So he will know that Obra had died. It was a way for Ben to warn Zeref that he is one of Ben's targets now.
Ben left the location immediately because Zeref might come here soon. He might want to kill Zeref, but he knew he wasn't ready yet. Mira and Flare will be put in danger if Zeref came here.
In the past, before their encounter with Acnologia, Ben had seen what Zeref's magic was capable of. That magic was way too dangerous because it will kill any living being around Zeref. He needed to do some research before confronting Zeref.
Before he left, Ben knocked out and teleported all Raven Tail mages to the Council building. He placed a paper note on Ivan's body to notify them that he was the one who brought them here. He asked the Council to detain Raven Tail because they have a connection to Zeref.
As a Wizard Saint, the Council will do as he requested. They were bound to ask him some questions later, but it doesn't matter. He just needed to show some proof and they will believe him.
After that, Ben threw a lot of black balls on the ground. Then he left with Mira and the now unconscious Flare. Obra has erased her magic power, causing her to lose consciousness. They will head to Sun Village first before returning to Magnolia.
Sometime after Ben's group left, Zeref appeared through a black orb. He looks around the area and no one was present. The only thing that remained was Obra's cut up puppet that Ben left for him.
Zeref then noticed black metal balls that was the size of fists. He didn't know what they were so he ignored them and checked on the puppet. He tried to find out what happened here and how Obra died.
But suddenly, *BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!* A series of explosions went off and engulfed Zeref. The black balls were explosives made of gunpowder, not magic. That's why Zeref didn't feel anything emanating from them.
Ben made them himself and the only magic on them was a simple enchantment. He put a simple enchantment on them to explode with a massive source of magic power appears near them. They were traps that Ben left for Zeref.
Sometime later, Zeref emerged from the site of the explosion, battered and injured. The immortal Zeref can be injured if he took massive damage. Ben's explosives are comparable to high-level magic spells, so they can injure Zeref.
Also, these explosive didn't rely on magic power, but physics. They weren't able to be blocked by the ability to resist magic. That's why Zeref was badly injured. If he wasn't immortal, he would certainly die.
"Have a taste of that science power Zeref." Ben said while smirking in his car.
"Will that be enough to defeat him?" Mira asked.
"No way. If that was enough, I won't need to leave that place. His injuries are most likely superficial and he will heal quickly. Forget about him, how's Flare?" Ben asked back.
"She will be fine after her magic power is restored." Mira said.
"Good, let's wrap things in Sun Village up and go home. I miss those little troublemakers." Ben said as he drove faster. Their trip is about to come to a end.
