A/N: To make up for being so absent, I think I'll post around two chapters a day until I catch up with everything. Enjoy :)

"Hey, Alya."

Alya's eyes narrowed when she realized that Wanda was trying to wake her out of her deep sleep.

That was odd, because it was usually the other way around.

"What?" The raven-haired child turned over to look at her sister, having to squint to see her in the low light.

"Sit up." Wanda sat down and leaned against the headboard. "I need to talk to you."

Alya nodded and moved carefully, trying not to wake Mischief up. The finicky cat had spent most of the day hiding from their new guest and probably exhausted herself in doing so.

"What do you wanna talk about?" She reached up to rub her sleepy eyes.

"I talked to Natasha and Bucky today." The older girl's voice was just above a whisper. "I asked if I could call them 'Mom' and 'Dad'."

That woke Alya up all the way. Her eyes widened significantly, so much so, that Wanda could see those blue irises staring back at her.

She was hoping that Alya would take this well. She knew the girl didn't particularly like to share her parents with anyone else and it was understandable, but she wouldn't want her to feel jealous.

Alya was just trying to rationalize it in her head.

She'd never really put much thought into it before because Wanda had always been her sister. She just wondered why she never called Natasha and Bucky, 'Mom' and 'Dad', but she never asked because she didn't want to make Wanda feel weird about it.

"Alya?"

"Did they say yes?" The twelve year old asked.

"They did."

"Yay." The corners of her mouth twitched upwards. It was about time, really.

That was a load off of Wanda's mind. The last thing she wanted to do, was be at odds with Alya.

"Now we're really gonna be sisters."

"Ice cream for breakfast?" Wanda quirked a brow, picking up a spoonful of the frozen dessert before she let it plop back into her bowl.

Alya didn't even question it. She just shoveled that orange cream in her mouth with a smile. She wasn't going to wait for their parents to come to their senses and take it all away before she actually got a chance to enjoy it.

"It's a special occasion." Natasha winked. "We're celebrating."

That was good enough for Alya.

But Wanda was still confused. "Celebrating what?"

"Well, we're going down to the courthouse." Bucky smiled when Alya offered him a bite. "Two reasons: One, to legally adopt you, and two, your mother and I decided to get married."

Alya froze with her spoon halfway between her bowl and her mouth.

Did she really just hear that?

Were they joking?

"Wow, tough room." Natasha quipped at the sound of complete silence.

"You're getting married?" Wanda beamed. "That's great!" She hopped off of her stool and flung her arm's around her mother's neck.

"Thank you, sweetheart." Natasha rubbed her back before the teen pulled away, allowing her to turn her attention to her youngest. "Alya?"

Alya had forgotten all about her ice cream and was now sitting with her chin in the palm of her hand, in deep thought.

All of that was happening today?

"C'mere, Babydoll." Bucky sensed that she was a little overwhelmed by the speedy pace and lifted her up onto his hip. "This is a lot to take in, huh?"

"Yeah." She nodded, her face giving away her consternation. "Does that mean we have to leave Uncle Steve and Tetushka?"

She knew that, sometimes, when people got married, they packed up and left everything behind to start a new life. The thought was a little scary for her because of how everything was constantly changing. This was the first bit of normalcy any of them had had in years and she wasn't ready for it to be over yet.

"No!" Bucky laughed. If that's all she was worried about, then this would be easy to fix. "We're not going anywhere. Between you and Wanda, your mom and I are gonna need all the help we can get."

"Oh."

"Stop worrying." He playfully scolded her. "That's not your job."

"You're really getting married?"

"We are." Natasha confirmed.

"And you're gonna wear matching rings?" She grew a lot more excited, the more she thought about it.

"We are."

"And you're gonna share a room?"

The two adults couldn't help but laugh a little at the innocent little questions Alya was firing off.

She was coming around.

"That's right."

But then Alya's face fell again. "Are you gonna kiss all the time?"

"I don't know." Natasha smirked, moving closer to her husband-to-be. "Are we?"

"Why don't we get a head start on that?" Bucky flirted right back, leaning in.

"Okay, guys." Even Wanda had to cringe a little from embarrassment. "Save some for the wedding, please."

Alya bit her nails as her feet swung back and forth from her place on the chair she was sitting in.

Today was actually the day that her parents were getting married.

She was caught off guard by the proclamation that morning. Bucky and Natasha went out on a lot of dates since they decided to become a couple, but that didn't stop Alya from being shocked.

Though, she might've been shocked even if they had been dating for years and then told her.

It was just something that she needed time to get used to.

She had never experienced living with married parents, so she didn't really know what to expect. Wanda told her that it wasn't really any different from how they were living now, Bucky and Natasha would just be wearing rings on their fingers.

Speaking of Wanda, now that she was letting Bucky and Natasha in, she was beginning to act like a normal girl of her age. That included acting like a regular teenaged sister.

Everything seemed to be a fight between the two now. Sometimes Alya initiated it, but other times, Wanda did. It seemed like she was making up for all the years of allowing Alya to get away with everything.

Alya was too close to Wanda, Wanda was too bossy, Alya didn't listen, Wanda was too rough, etc…

If it wasn't one thing, it was another.

Bucky actually had to pull the two aside because their little squabble got physical. Alya got annoyed with Wanda telling her what to do and how to do it, so she lashed out and hit her, which prompted Wanda to hit her back.

The sound nearly echoed off the walls, pulling his attention away from where he and Natasha were filling out the necessary paperwork.

And the look he gave them could've caused milk to curdle.

That was the story of how Alya ended up in this stupid chair, playing the waiting game.

It wasn't all bad, though.

Wanda had to sit in one a few feet away.

Rebecca was completely amused by the whole thing, snickering behind a covered hand as she stood in between the two, having been tasked to separate them. She wasn't sure why Bucky asked her to do it, she was just as bad as they were.

After all, she was only twenty. She had plenty years of silliness left in her.

Yelena didn't want any part of it, she and Natasha had done worse, so she really didn't think it was anything to get worked up over and Steve pretended not to notice a thing. He wasn't touching that with a ten foot pole.

It was too bad that Peter couldn't make it, because then Alya would have someone to have fun with. The Bartons couldn't make it either, the wedding was too short notice to travel with three kids, but they sent their love and promised to visit as soon as they could. Sam also sent his love, demanding that they visit as soon as possible, because 'he'd believe it when he saw it'.

Alya missed Sam and his witty jokes. She hoped that they would see him soon so they could catch him up on everything that's been happening.

"Stop pulling at your dress." Yelena scolded her, pulling her hands away from the yellow sundress she had been forced to wear.

The main reason why she didn't want to wear it, was because she couldn't hide any weapons underneath it and it wasn't like she could put knives in her sandals.

"It's not comfy." She pouted, not liking the feeling of being so vulnerable, yet, at the same time, more excited than she had ever been.

How could she not be?

Her parents were getting married!

"I know, Baby, but it's Mama and Papa's special day. You can tolerate it for them, yes?"

Alya could definitely suck it up for one day. "Yes. I'm glad they're getting married."

"Good girl." Yelena smiled and lifted her up, before sitting down with her on her lap. The heels she was wearing were killing her feet and she needed a break. "Me, too."

If they didn't move it along soon, she was going to go barefoot.

"I, James Buchanan Barnes, take you, Natalia Alianovna Romanova, to be my lawfully wedded wife. To have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part." Bucky smiled, gazing into Natasha's eyes before he let Steve hand him the ring he bought just for the occasion. "With this ring, I thee wed."

As he spoke his vows, he thought of everything they had to go through just to get to where they are now.

He wouldn't change a thing.

Natasha allowed him to slip the ring on her finger and admired it a moment before she took her own vows.

"I, Natalia Alianovna Romanova, take you, James Buchanan Barnes, to be my lawfully wedded husband. To have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part." She took her ring from Yelena and slipped it on Bucky's finger. "With this ring, I thee wed."

After the Red Room, Natasha never truly thought she'd find love, but she really did beat the odds. She found her sister and her parents, she had amazing friends, two beautiful children, and now, a husband.

"By the power vested in me, by the City Courts of New York, I now pronounce you, man and wife." The officiant smiled. "You may now kiss the bride."

Bucky didn't waste any time before he leaned in a pressed a very gentle kiss against Natasha's lips as everyone around them cheered.

And Alya, from her place in Rebecca's arms, threw some confetti at them the minute they pulled apart.

Her parents were married.

That felt really good to say.

They were married.

"So, Wanda Rose and Alyona Cassidy." Bucky teased the girls, using their newly legal middle names. "What's on the agenda for tomorrow?"

As soon as they had exchanged their vows last week, he and Natasha officially adopted Wanda as their daughter. Since they were already in the courthouse, they decided to give the girls some middle names, too.

Wanda liked the name 'Rose'. It was her favorite flower and she wouldn't even think of anything else. Alya, on the other hands, couldn't think of anything that fit with her name and wanted her parents to choose.

Bucky told her that if she hadn't been born in the Red Room, he would've named her after his mother, 'Winifred'. The name had gone out of style since the forties, so he and Natasha decided on 'Cassidy' instead.

Now Rebecca was constantly calling her 'Casserole'.

Not that she really minded. She just had to think of something to call her in exchange.

"School." They both replied, keeping their distance from each other.

Wanda was sitting on the couch, scrolling through her phone and Alya was upside down in the armchair, playing with some handheld video game Bucky could never remember the name of.

"Are you two seriously still going at it?"

It had literally been an entire week since the wedding and the two sisters were still at odds. Natasha couldn't understand how this kind of behavior came as a result of a petty little squabble.

"No." Wanda responded nonchalantly.

Bucky and Natasha had noticed that ever since Wanda started calling them 'Mom' and 'Dad', she had begun to act like a normal teenager. It was nice to see.

...Just not right now.

"I'll take that." Natasha snatched the phone from her hands before doing the same with Alya's game, forcing her to sit properly. "Thank you."

"Hey, I was playing that!" Alya pouted.

She was right in the middle of an intense level, too.

"What did I do?" Wanda furrowed her eyebrows.

"This little disagreement of yours has gone on for too long." The redhead rolled her eyes. "If you don't take care of it. I will. Final warning."

And they definitely didn't want her to take care of it. She had very interesting ways of solving issues. They were better off doing it on their own.

Alya just crossed her arms and turned her head, pretending as if she hadn't heard anything.

Wanda, being older, was more receptive. "I'm sorry I hit you, Alya."

It was true, she was. They had both been on edge from excitement that day and she guessed that it was easy to make targets out of each other.

But this didn't mean they were going to go back to being buddied so soon.

The twelve year old didn't want to hear any of it. She wasn't ready to listen to reason.

"Alya? Don't you have something you'd like to say?" Her mother prompted, tapping her foot.

"Sorry for hitting you." Alya mumbled reluctantly, even though she was truly sorry.

Natasha knew that was the best she was going to get out of the both of them, so she just gave up, keeping the electronics in her hands.

They would get them back when they actually started to get along again.

"Mama? Daddy? Wake up."

Alya poked both her parents' cheeks to make sure they wouldn't be able to ignore her as she bounced on top of them.

"Alyona Cassidy, it's three in the morning." Natasha growled.

Alya now knew why she and Bucky were so adamant about giving her and Wanda middle names. They wanted to be able to have something to call them whenever they got in trouble.

"Daddy, are you awake?" The child bounced on him a little more aggressively than needed.

"I am now." He groaned, turning on the light that was sitting on the nightstand. "What do you want, you little scamp?"

They really needed to write up a list of rules for disturbing their sleep. He didn't think he'd be able to handle it if this was going to become an everyday thing.

"Here." She handed him the folder her principal gave her about a week or so before.

She wanted to give it to them sooner, but she didn't want to distract from the wedding or the adoption plans. Once all of that was over, she kind of decided to forget about it entirely.

But then she remembered how Peter told her that this was supposed to be a good thing, so she finally pulled it out of her bag.

"Why are we finding out about this now?" Her father finished reading and passed it over to Natasha.

"I don't know." Alya shrugged.

"This isn't something you should hide, sweet girl." Natasha's voice was a little gruff from sleep. "You should be very proud of these grades."

"Do you want to skip to the ninth grade?" Bucky was way too tired for the whole song and dance, so he got right to the point.

He would tell her how proud he was in the morning, right now his head was practically falling right back onto the pillow.

"Yes."

"Why?" If he and Natasha were going to fill out the paperwork for all of this, then he needed to know if Alya was truly ready for it.

"Cause everything is boring and I wanna learn new things next year."

Alya was brilliant. She learned very fast. Anyone who knew her and saw her work, knew that. Bucky wasn't concerned about her keeping up with everyone else academically.

He was concerned about her keeping up socially.

She was going to be twelve going on thirteen in her freshman year of high school while everyone else was fourteen. It was going to be a little harder to fit in, but if she wanted to do it, that didn't mean it was impossible.

Besides, there was always Peter and he was sure that he wouldn't let anything happen to her.

Before making a decision, Bucky shared a look with Natasha to make sure they were on the same page and nodded. "Alright. We'll stop by the office tomorrow and talk to your principal." He yawned before, plopping his head back down on his soft pillow. "Go back to bed."

"Can I stay here?"

"Will you go to sleep?" He almost cried.

"Promise, Daddy." Alya nodded, even though he couldn't see her with his eyes closed.

"Climb in. If you're not asleep in ten minutes, you're going back in your own bed."

Alya grinned as she scrambled under the covers and squeezed in-between her parents. She's never done this before, but it felt very warm and she liked it.

"Mom?" Wanda's voice caught her attention.

"Mom's asleep." Bucky spoke sleepily. "So is Dad. Goodnight."

Alya looked over at her sister and wiggled to make space for her, waving her over to join the fun.

Wanda hesitated, wondering if she was a little too old for this kind of thing, but ultimately deciding on giving in to her childish impulse, carefully climbing over Natasha to squeeze between her and Alya.

The two girls giggled as if they had accomplished some forbidden task and cuddled into each other.

All the fighting was forgotten now.

"Go. To. Sleep." Bucky didn't even have the energy to move.

Now there were two of them! How would he cope?

"Goodnight." The sisters snickered before closing their eyes and giving him the peace he needed to finally fall back to sleep.
