Author's note: The point of view (POV) always shifted between the author's POV and Sakura's POV only, so don't get confused since I wanted to make the story flow naturally.
Entering the classroom with confidence, Sakura was bathed in the morning sunlight's warm glow. Unaware of it, her stylish skirt had slipped a bit lower than intended, garnering more attention than she expected. Sasuke, usually indifferent to such matters, couldn't help but scowl as he noticed some inappropriate glances directed at her.
Casually applying lip balm, Sakura noticed Sasuke, in his characteristically awkward but protective manner, swiftly moving to shield her from prying eyes. Wondering what prompted his actions, she shot him a puzzled look as Sasuke subtly gestured for her to adjust her skirt.
Sakura's brow furrowed. "Sasuke, what's going on? Why are you...?"
Sasuke's cheeks turned a delicate shade of pink as he tried to maintain his composure. "Just, um, making sure no one gets the wrong idea. Your skirt is... well, it's a bit too low."
Sakura's gaze shifted downward, and realization dawned. "Oh, my goodness, how embarrassing! Thanks, Sasuke."
Sasuke grumbled softly. "Don't mention it. Just fix it."
Sakura promptly adjusted her skirt, her cheeks tinted with a rosy hue. "I can't believe I didn't notice. Thanks for looking out for me, Sasuke."
Sasuke replied with an awkward nod. "Yeah, well, someone has to."
Before the situation could escalate, Naruto made his entrance with an uncharacteristically mischievous grin. Sakura and Sasuke exchanged wary glances, sensing something was up. Naruto's peculiar demeanor only heightened their unease.
Sakura's initial shock gradually turned into frustration as she realized some girls were gathered around a laptop, enjoying her singing duet disaster with Sasori on YouTube.
A girl with French braids burst into uncontrollable laughter. "Oh my gosh, have you heard Sakura's 'singing'? It's like a cat being strangled!"
Another girl chimed in with a mocking tone. "I can't believe she thought she could actually sing. I bet even the deaf are cringing!"
A chubby girl joined in the teasing. "I heard they played this video at the animal shelter, and all the dogs started howling in pain!"
Sakura's face burned with embarrassment as the girls continued their merciless banter. Her resolve to unmask the culprits and make them rue the day they laughed at her grew stronger by the second.
With fierce determination, Sakura seethed to herself, "They think this is funny? I'll show them who's laughing!"
Sasuke, his voice hushed as he spoke to Sakura, urged her to remain composed. "Calm down, Sakura. We'll figure this out."
Sakura whispered back, her tone resolute, "No, Sasuke. This is personal now. They're going to regret making fun of me like this."
Sasuke, with a resigned nod, acknowledged her determination. "Just promise me you won't do anything too reckless."
Sakura's lips curved into a sly smile. "Oh, Sasuke, you know me. I'll make sure it's unforgettable."
With a shared look of determination, Sakura and Sasuke stood united in their mission to uncover the culprit behind the embarrassing video. The girls' laughter in the background fueled Sakura's determination, and Sasuke understood there was no turning back.
As Sakura planned her retaliation, Sasuke admired her fiery spirit. Behind his stoic exterior, he was ready to stand by Sakura and support her in whatever daring scheme she devised to turn the tables on those who had mocked her.
Meanwhile, Naruto pretended indifference, concealing his guilt even as it bothered him. Later, on the high school rooftop, Sasuke confronted Naruto about the video, fully aware of Naruto's role as the culprit.
With arms crossed firmly, Sasuke addressed Naruto with determination. "Naruto, we need to talk about that video."
Naruto tried to maintain composure as he feigned ignorance. "What video?"
Sasuke's skepticism was evident as he continued. "The one you posted of Sakura's singing. Don't play dumb."
Naruto chuckled nervously, struggling to keep up the façade. "Oh, that? It was just a joke. Lighten up."
Sasuke's resolve remained unshaken as he stated firmly, "No, it wasn't just a joke. You crossed a line. Delete it."
Naruto hesitated, the weight of guilt pressing upon him. "Fine, fine. I'll delete it, okay?"
As Naruto reluctantly removed the video, their heated argument was abruptly interrupted by the entrance of Hinata, the shy and soft-spoken girl who had always admired Naruto from afar.
Blushing furiously, Hinata summoned her courage. "N-Naruto-kun, there's something I need to tell you."
Naruto, bewildered and clutching the letter in his hand, responded with a perplexed tone. "Hinata? What's going on?"
Sasuke, his smirk veiled beneath an air of indifference, couldn't resist a comment. "Well, well, Naruto. Looks like someone else has their eye on you."
Caught between his long-standing crush on Sakura and Hinata's unexpected confession, Naruto found himself utterly bewildered as Hinata shyly left him with her heartfelt letter in hand.
Seizing the moment, Sasuke, his air of indifference concealing a cunning mind, turned to Naruto and addressed him directly. "If you care about Sakura, you wouldn't want to embarrass her further, right? Delete the video."
Naruto, wrestling with a whirlwind of emotions, finally relented, but not without a condition – that Sasuke would no longer stand as a barrier between him and Sakura.
With his smirk barely concealed, Sasuke responded, "Deal. But remember, sometimes the heart leads us in unexpected directions." And with that parting shot, he left Naruto alone to contemplate his feelings and the choices that lay ahead.
...
Sakura's arrival in the photography club room triggered an uninvited chorus of laughter from Karin, Suigetsu, and other members huddled around a laptop, gleefully indulging in Sakura's notorious singing video. Karin, always armed with her snarky comments, couldn't resist taking a jab at her.
With a sly grin, Karin announced to the room, "Well, well, look who's gracing us with her presence! It's our very own Walmart Mariah Carey with a touch of throat cancer!"
Suigetsu, never one to pass up an opportunity for humor, chimed in with his own wisecrack.
He chuckled and added, "And here I thought I'd heard it all, but Sakura's voice? It's like a cow going through labor! MOOO-ve over, folks!"
Sakura seethed with a simmering rage as she settled into her seat, her cheeks aflame with the tormenting blush of humiliation. To her surprise, Juugo, usually the silent observer in the club, approached her with a genuine attempt to offer solace.
Juugo, his voice soothing, tried to console her. "Don't let them get to you, Sakura. They're just trying to provoke a reaction."
As the club members continued their banter, a hush fell over the room as Sasuke made an unanticipated entrance. Karin, ever the opportunist vying for Sasuke's attention, hastily shut her laptop, and the laughter reluctantly subsided.
Drawing closer to Sasuke, Karin whispered to him with feigned sweetness, "Oh, Sasuke, you're here! We were just... discussing some unique vocal talents."
Sasuke, unmoved by the flattery, took a seat and focused on the club meeting at hand. However, amid the discussion of upcoming photography projects, he couldn't help but discreetly steal glances at Sakura. Her unyielding determination, even in the face of merciless ridicule, had intrigued him since their shared childhood.
Sasuke's thoughts wandered as he observed her from afar, absorbed in her own thoughts. Sakura's unwavering spirit and her readiness to defend herself had always struck a chord with him. Little did he realize that this unexpected encounter within the photography club would set in motion a sequence of events that would draw them closer together than they could have ever imagined.
The club members were engrossed in their lively discussion, brainstorming ideas for their upcoming photography expedition. Sakura, her cheeks still tinged with a hint of embarrassment from the earlier teasing, found herself irresistibly drawn to one of Sasuke's stunning photos in the album. The image was a breathtaking snapshot of a pristine beach in Okinawa, where seagulls gracefully glided above crystal-clear waters. Her eyes sparkled with awe as she envisioned herself walking hand in hand with Sasuke along that very shoreline.
Breaking the prevailing silence, Sasuke turned his piercing gaze to Sakura, seeking her input on their next destination. Lost momentarily in her reverie, Sakura softly murmured, "Beach."
Sasuke, though he attempted to maintain an air of indifference, couldn't help but be intrigued by her idea. "Not a bad suggestion," he commented casually, though a subtle flicker of curiosity danced within the depths of his onyx eyes.
Karin, always eager to capture Sasuke's attention, voiced her protest, "Oh, come on! We've been to the beach multiple times already. Maybe we should try something different, like exploring abandoned buildings or something."
Suigetsu, the perpetual mischief-maker, couldn't resist the temptation to tease Sasuke. "Well, Sasuke, I suggest you keep your focus on our meeting instead of..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Karin swiftly interjected, her irritation palpable when she realized that Sasuke's gaze had been directed towards Sakura while she had been engrossed in the photo album.
Karin crossed her arms, demanding, "Sasuke, are you even paying attention?"
Quick on his feet, Sasuke offered a flimsy excuse, unwilling to divulge his true thoughts.
Sasuke feigned indifference. "Sorry. I found the weather outside rather sunny."
Yet, in that very moment, as his gaze surreptitiously flickered towards Sakura, a wave of nostalgia washed over him. Memories of Sakura as a young girl dressed as a princess at a Halloween party resurfaced. He couldn't help but be amused by how utterly adorable she had been in that costume. It was also at that moment that he recognized he could no longer suppress the feelings he had concealed for far too long.
Sasuke mused thoughtfully. "Perhaps revisiting the beach isn't such a bad idea, after all."
With those words, he couldn't resist stealing another glance at Sakura, fully aware that she had become a far more captivating subject than any photograph in the album.
As the photography club meeting pressed on, Sasuke's inner turmoil continued to mount, causing his usually composed demeanor to falter. Concealing his uncontrollable blush became an impossible task as he quietly approached Sakura, who was deeply engrossed in experimenting with a camera.
With his heart pounding wildly in his chest, Sasuke leaned in closer and whispered into Sakura's ear, finally revealing the true culprit behind the embarrassing video.
Sasuke's hushed voice carried a weight of truth. "Sakura, it was Naruto. He's the one who posted that video."
Sakura's emerald eyes widened in sheer shock, her initial anger morphing into a furious blaze.
Her voice seethed with anger. "That dumbass! I'll make him pay!"
Realizing that he had to dissuade her from any rash actions, Sasuke quickly employed his teasing tactics, hiding his own relief.
Sasuke couldn't help but smirk, despite the situation. "Well, Sakura, maybe before you go on a vendetta, work on your photography skills. They're just as disastrous as your singing, after all."
Sakura's anger shifted into irritation as she clenched her fists, determined to prove Sasuke wrong. She saw this as an opportunity to learn from the photography enthusiast himself.
Her tone was still irked. "Fine, Mr. Photography Expert, care to teach me? How do you maintain the lens focus and create that nostalgic effect?"
Sasuke, trying to maintain his composure but secretly relishing the moment, moved closer to her, gently guiding her through the camera's intricate functions.
With patience, he explained, "Here, Sakura, you adjust the focus like this... And for the nostalgic effect, you can change the aperture settings like so."
As he guided her through the complexities of the advanced camera, Sasuke couldn't resist giving Sakura a subtle wink and an approving smirk. He genuinely admired her determination, despite his earlier teasing.
He complimented her sincerely. "You're surprisingly quick at picking this up. Maybe there's hope for you yet."
Meanwhile, Karin, growing frustrated by the camaraderie blossoming between Sasuke and Sakura, was devising new schemes to create distance between them. Her determination to capture Sasuke's attention rivaled Sakura's ambition to prove herself, setting the stage for further tangled relationships within the club.
Undeterred by past failures, Karin cooked up a new plan to grab Sasuke's attention. She decided to showcase her photography skills, hoping to impress him with her expertise. Karin confidently moved around the clubroom with her camera, offering advice to anyone who would listen, making sure Sasuke had a front-row seat to her photographic prowess.
She flashed her camera with a sly smile. "Oh, Sasuke, see this technique? It's called the 'Golden Hour' shot. It's all about capturing the perfect lighting."
Sasuke, doing his best to appear disinterested but finding himself stealing glances at Sakura, was captivated by her earnest efforts to improve her photography skills. Meanwhile, Sakura was determined to prove herself, even if it meant enduring Karin's constant photography lectures.
Sakura winked at Sasuke, a twinkle in her eye that made his cheeks flush. "I'm going to nail this 'Golden Hour' shot, just you wait."
In the midst of this rivalry, Suigetsu, ever the troublemaker, saw an opportunity for some mischief. He hatched a plan to create a comical distraction during one of Karin's photography demonstrations.
He grinned mischievously. "Watch this, Karin. It's going to be epic."
As Karin meticulously set up her shot, Suigetsu discreetly unleashed a rubber chicken he had hidden in his backpack. The chicken soared through the air, landing right in front of Karin's camera just as she was about to take the shot.
Karin shrieked in surprise, and her meticulously planned "Golden Hour" shot turned into a snapshot of a rubber chicken.
Sasuke couldn't hold back a chuckle at the sheer absurdity of the situation. Sakura, equally amused, burst into laughter, while Suigetsu reveled in the chaos he had created.
Sakura commented between her giggles. "That was... unexpected."
Sasuke, still smirking, added, "It seems like our photography lessons just took an interesting turn."
Karin, however, was far from amused. Her carefully orchestrated moment had been transformed into a comedy, and she seethed with frustration.
She demanded, her voice tense, "Who did this?"
Suigetsu, grinning from ear to ear, couldn't resist taking credit. "That would be me, Karin! You can thank me later."
The photography club meetings turned lively as members sought Sasuke's attention in a competitive atmosphere. In the midst of chaos, Sasuke appreciated Sakura's determination, her ability to laugh, and constant support. Despite the commotion, genuine camaraderie formed.
In the following weeks, the meetings became a mix of wit and emotions, with Sasuke and Sakura in the spotlight. Their interactions amused the club, while Karin felt disheartened by the changing dynamics.
During a meeting, Sasuke and Sakura casually exchanged feedback on each other's photos, their camaraderie evident. Other members observed, impressed by their easy rapport.
Karin, not one to back down, decided on a direct approach, inviting Sasuke for a private photo session. Her intentions were clear. Sakura, sensing the situation, discreetly joined, expressing a desire to learn more. This shifted the dynamic, and although Karin concealed her frustration with a strained smile, the drama was low-key.
During their session, Sakura tripped over her feet, almost knocking over her camera. Sasuke swiftly caught both her and the camera, offering a reassuring smile. Nearby, Karin, attempting to mimic clumsiness, ended up falling into a puddle, amusing the rest of the club.
In the following days, Sasuke's subtle affections for Sakura grew. He saved a seat for her during meetings, and their conversations became more personal, filled with shared stories and inside jokes. It was clear to everyone that Sasuke felt a genuine connection with Sakura.
Karin, however, refused to admit defeat. She planned a surprise outdoor photography exhibition, hoping it would be the perfect opportunity to impress Sasuke. But when a sudden rainstorm threatened to ruin the event, it was Sakura who came to the rescue. She grabbed Sasuke's hand and led him to a nearby gazebo, where they watched the rain together.
The tender moment didn't go unnoticed by the rest of the club, and even Karin had to concede for the time being. As the rain poured outside, Sasuke and Sakura shared an umbrella, their shared warmth filling the air.
Sasuke and Sakura's budding relationship remained at the heart of it all, and despite Karin's persistent efforts, it seemed like their bond was only getting stronger with each passing day.
