NOTE: So this idea came to me on a whim...if i get a good response i will continue since i have a vision for it.

Summary: Peyton Oliver never knew of her brother's past as a power ranger. She finds out by accident after she discovers he is alive after being believed to be dead from the island. What will she do when the rangers come knocking for her help after he is taken by Mesogog, will she forgive him for the secrets or will her relationship with Tommy be over?

"Peyton Alexis Oliver if you don't come help me unpack i will make you sleep in the attack!"

"Oh shush you. You would never do that to me. Oh by the way when your angry the vein in your head really does pop out".

"Knock it off" Jason Lee Scott scolded playfully. The girl who he was scolding was none other than Peyton Oliver. The younger sister of Tommy Oliver. They had just moved to Reefside to start over. They had gotten word that Tommy was lost on the island a month ago. Everyone was beginning to heal. Jason had promised Tommy to look after her if anything ever happened to him.

Crash!

"OUCH!" She squeaked holding her foot.

"What is it?" Jason asked running over. She had dropped a picture frame causing glass to shatter with a piece sticking out of her foot. "Here" She took her sock off. "Its not deep hold still" He took a pair of tweezers and with a quick motion he pulled it out causing her to wince. "Sorry"

"Its okay". She held the photo as tears rimmed her eyes. "I miss him Jase". Jason cleaned the cut and sat next to her.

"I know you do. I remember when this was taken". He told her looking at the photo of her and Tommy before he went to grad school. "You forced him to cut his hair".

She giggled. "Yeah i put crazy glue in his shampoo,do you mind if i go explore a little i need to get out of the house"

"Yeah sure" Jason agreed watching her leave.

Peyton walked down the street taking in the view. She smiled as kids were playing in the park. She smiled noticing someone at a picnic table strummong a guitar.

"Hi that sounds awesome". She told her with a smile.

"Thanks its something new. I'm Kira".

"Peyton" The girls shook hands.

Kira moved over so she could sit down. "Are you new here because you look lost?"

Peyton nodded. "Yeah i moved here with one of my best friends. I needed a fresh start." She looked up as two guys approached.

"Kira hey" The guy in red spoke.

"Hey Conner, Ethan what are you doing here? oh this is Peyton" Kira introduced.

"We were at the field when we noticed you" Conner spoke. "Kira remember we have a science project due".

"Yeah sorry. Peyton i have to go but here's my number, call me sometime and we can hang out"

"Sure it was nice to meet you" She told her with a smile as they walked away. Peyton sighed and decided to walk back through the back trails. She took a step and fell through a hole. "Ow!" She moaned as she stood up. "Stupid sinkholes, Jason is going to kill me for being late"

She yelled in surprise as she heard voices. "Babe? did you just call me babe?" She heard. She walked towards the voices.

"Kira?"

The three of them turned. "Peyton?" Ethan spoke in surprise. "I told them there were sinkholes here"

"Do you know where we are?" Peyton asked as the four of them walked. "Oh my-" She trailed as they entered a room. "Okay is it me or does this look like a bat cave?"

Ethan grinned. "Man if Dr.O could only see this place". He whispered. The four were drawn to a cauldron type mantle with four stones sitting on top. Red. Blue. Yellow and Pink. "Don't touch that!" Ethan spoke quickly as Conner reached for the red one.

Kira scoffed as they each reached for one. "Well what are they?" Sje asked as the stones glowed in each of their hands.

"I can go online later and find out". Ethan answered. "Hey where are you two going?" He asked the two girls.

"I don't know about you but i don't want to find out what kind of freak lives in a place like this" Kira answered.

"I would prefer to keep my brain in my head" Peyton added as they all ran out. Once they got outside they made their way back into town. "Okay here you guys can keep mine" She told them passing the pink gem to Ethan. "I better go before i am confined to my house for the rest of my life". She waved and ran down the street.

"Here you can have mine to" Kira gave hers to Conner. "Just lets forget about it". Kira began to walk away when she felt a rush of wind. Creatures began to swarm her. One covered her mouth and pulled her through a green portal.

"Kira!" Conner yelled. "She's gone" He whispered to Ethan picking up her guitar.

Peyton walked down the street. She felt her phone vibrate."Crap" She scolded herself as she dropped it on the ground. She yelled as she was grabbed behind with a huge hand covering her mouth.

"Your coming with us!" They took her through a portal out of sight.

"Let go of me!" Peyton yelled as Zeltrax threw her into a cell. "Freaks!"

"Peyton?"

She turned to see Kira. "Kira? Kira what is going on?"

Kira walked over to her. "I don't know but some lizard freak mentioned something about gems"

"He has to be talking about those rocks we found in the cave" Peyton told her putting it together. The girls gave each other a worried look.

"Okay tell me what we are doing here because how is being at 's house going to help us find Kira" Ethan asked in worry as he and Conner pulled up to Tommy's house.

"I don't know he is into weird stuff" Conner answered as they walked inside. They jumped as a door opened. "Okay i must have stepped on something" Conner motioned for Ethan to follow him downstairs. "Ethan its the same place"

They looked around remembering they were their earlier. "If your looking for extra credit your in the wrong place" They turned to see a very angry Tommy Oliver.

"Dr.O before you go off please hear us out. Kira's gone" Conner told him.

"She was taken by these creatures" Ethan added. "He doesn't look convinced"

"Their called tyrannodrones" Tommy told them turning around. "But right now we need to find out what they want with Kira"

"It might have something to do with these" Conner spoke a he and Ethan showed him the four gems. Tommy's eyes widened as he took them.

"Look you two need to forget about this i'll find Kira" Tommy told the two.

"What about Peyton?" Tommy heard Ethan mumble. "She was here to"

Tommy whipped around so fast he caught Conner off guard. "What did you say?" Tommy demanded.

Ethan glanced at Conner. "There was anothe girl with us. Peyton was her name but she wasn't with us when Kira got attacked"

Tommy gritted his teeth not wanting to believe that they were talking about his sister Peyton. "Look we need to find Kira"

Peyton and Kira were pacing their cell after failed attempts of trying to break out. Peyton ran her fingers through her shoulder length brown hair. "On days like this i wish my brother was here he would know what to do"

"Brother?" Kira questioned.

Peyton sighed. "Yeah i lost my older brother not long ago. He died while on a trip with his work partner. I moved here for a fresh start"

"I'm sorry" Kira told her touching her shoulder. They looked up as drones unlocked the cells. The drones seized them and dragged them to the main part of the fortress. "Peyton meet Mesogog".

Mesogog stepped in front of the girls. "Give me the gems"

"Sorry freak but they don't belong to you" Peyton hissed.

"No they belong to us!" The girls turned to see a red and blue ranger. "Now i will ask nicely get your hands off of them or else"

Peyton smiled knowing they were power rangers. She winked at Kira. Peyton stepped on the drones feet forcing them to let her go. Kira followed suit. Kira groaned as she was kicked in the back to the floor.

"Kira!" The red ranger yelled running to help her up. "You okay?"

"Conner? is that you?"

"Yeah i'll explain later but we need to get out of here". He told her as Ethan blasted the four drones in front of them. "Come on".

"Peyton go!" Conner yelled urging her to run. Both girls ran ahead of them coming to a stop in front of an invisiiportal. "Go!"

Peyton nodded jumping into the portal with the others on her tail. Once they landed in the park Conner and Ethan powered down.

"Okay someone tell me what is going on here?" Kira yelled pointing her finger at the guys.

"The gems have powers" Ethan spoke. "Look come with Conner and I and he will tell you"

"Who?" Kira asked noticing Peyton was walking away. Conner whispered into Kira's ear. " "

"Peyton come with us" Ethan asked.

"No. Look i can't okay. Its just too hard right now to be around power rangers. I should head home" She told them sadly and she walked away.

"What's with her?" Conner asking crossing his arms.

"I don't know but i feel like she knows something" Kira answered. They got into Conner's mustang and drove to the dino lab.

" !" Conner shouted as they entered.

He turned in his chair and smiled in relief Kira was alright. "Dr.O what is all this?" She asked.

"The stones you found are dino gems. Like Conner and Ethan use yours to join them as the yellow ranger.I know this is alot to take in but you three are Reefside's only hope". Tommy told them. "You can do this but you have to work togeher or this will never happen"

"But what about the pink one?" Kira asked as he was holding it. "Peyton held it so if ours chose us then that one had to have chosen her".

Tommy looked at the pink rock i his palm. He swallowed as Kira walked up to him. " do you know her?"

"Peyton is my sister" He spoke causing the room to go silent. "I didn't know she was in Reefside. I want to keep her out of this".

"Uh news flash but she is already involved" Conner stated. "She was with Kira when we got them out of the island fortress"

"Conner you don't underdtand. Peyton knows how power rangers work but she doesn't know the real truth of it all. She doesn't know my past. Peyton also doesn't know i am alive" Tommy words were soft.

" she knows we're rangers"

"I know Ethan and thats okay but i will not let her get too deep especially when Mesogog is out there." Tommy defended. "I will hold onto this" He gestured to the gem in his hand.

"What did you mean when you said your past?" Kira whispered.

Tommy sighed. "If i tell you you swear you will not tell my sister?" They nodded. He typed on the keyboad. "Watch this".

After a few minutes the three rangers were speechless at what they just watched. Their science teacher was a legendary ranger.

"Okay so let me get this straight you were a power ranger all these times and not once did Peyton know?" Kira was beside herself.

Tommy shook his head. "No she didn't. She didn't know anyone of us were rangers"

"Do you still have powers?" Ethan wondered.

"No. I gave up my powers a long time ago" Tommy answered fingering the chain around his neck.

"Peyton has one just like it" Conner pointed out. "What does it mean?"

"Its the latin symbol for brother hers is the symbol for sister. I have hers to her last christmas and she gave me mine for my birthday last year"

"Dr.O". He turned to Kira. "I know you want to keep this from her but i think she deserves to know you alive. When we were in the fortress she told me if you were here you would know how to help us".

"I will look for know just keep an eye on her. You guys can go and enjoy the rest of your day okay" They all nodded and walked out like the weight of the world was on their shoulders

"Where have you been!?" Jason yelled grabbing Peyton into his arms as she entered the house. "I have been looking everywhere!"

"I'm okay" She squeezed him tighter.

"Peyton? hey what's wrong?" He asked feeling her body shake. She let go of him.

"Jase there are monsters here. Rangers to" She whispered. "I was taken by a lizard freak"

"What? are you okay?" Jason asked looking her over.

"I'm fine they got us out. Just like the rangers did when Rito took me" She assured him. Jason kissed her forehead. "I'm going to go shower"

"Okay"

After she showered she stayed in her room and began to unpack her things. Her eyes narrowed as she noticed a cd. She pulled out her laptop and put the cd into the reader.

As she watched the video diary of her brother's past as a ranger she was so angry she didn't notice Jason slam the lid shut on the laptop.

"Peyton-"

"Don't" She growled so meanacing he stepped back holding his hands up. "You?" She slowly stood up out of the chair. "After all these years this is how i find out?"

"Peyton i can explain" Jason tried but she pushed him against the wall. "This is not how you were supposed to find out"

She balled her hands into fists and swung making contact with his left cheek. He brought hs hand up noticing the blood. "You were supposed to be my family and yet you keep this from me. My brother was one of the best rangers along with you and everyone he cared about."

"Peyton please. He was going to tell you when the time was right, we all were" He tried.

"Yeah well he isn't here to do that is he." Tears streamed down her cheeks. "I should have seen it"

"Peyton we never told you because we made a vow with Zordon to keep you safe. Tommy nearly went over the edge when Rito took you back then. We almost lost you and after that we kept our identities from you"

"Save it Jason. I guess i was too much of a burden back then to even trust me right?"

it was his turn to fire back. "You know darn well thats not true! When we met you we all knew we would love you! Keeping you away was the hardest thing Tommy and all of us had to do on times"

She scoffed. "Yeah well its too late now isn't it. Jason i always loved you as much as i did my own brother but now looking at you i see a stranger. I see someone who i wish i never met"

Her words were like daggers through his heart. "I'm sorry". He had made the ultimate betrayal and he could see it on her face. He slowly walked out of the room but before he left he had one last thing to say. "Peyton you can hate us all you want but Tommy was the reason you grew up strong. You were the reason he kept going, kept fighting. He kept going knowing you were out of harms way, knowing that every battle we won you would be at home waiting for him" He shut her door and rested his forehead against it. He wiped his own tears as he heard her sobbing.

For an hour Jason landed punches to the punching bag he had hung up in the garage. He heard movement upstairs. He walked upstairs to see her grabbing a bottle of water. He was about to speak when he heard the doorbell.

Peyton went to answer it only to see Conner, Kira and Ethan. "Guys what's wrong?"

"Dr.O is missing" Conner answered.
