Chapter 1: Learning GOD'S name

I awoke with a start, a small but quiet headache sitting in my mind. I turn to my left to a source of light in some sort of shadowy and warm void. In the light, or maybe the light itself, a small form of a child of unknown gender was staring at me.

"Who are you?" A simple question left my mouth, neither scared nor curious. Just simply asking.

"I am the all of things, neither here nor there, and you my child…Have died."

I wasn't shocked by this, it felt like the knowledge was already here in my mind. Cars,metal,blood. My funeral was nice, I wasn't forgotten by my family. My dear mother cried, father showed no tears while attending but wept silently for his youngest son when alone in the night. He was always a strong silent type, respectable and caring. My only sibling though, my elder brother was taking it the hardest. Sitting in my room, looking over photos of me and him, one which showed me and him playing a game of Yu-gi-oh together. I always loved Yusei's synchron stardust deck, and him the comforting gimmick of contact fusion heroes played by Judai.

The light god moved towards me, clicking my mind back to the now.

"As most deaths go, yours was quick. There for I would like to grant you one extra life in a world made by another of your kind. Some would call this, uh, isekai no?" I looked at the light god in confusion, and then humor. "You like anime?" The light god glowed a light pink hue, and puffed their cheeks a bit. " I do find that you humans make great works of fiction and I figured that I should try to make death a bit less…Dreary for you all. Would you rather be here forever, drifting on empty thoughts of memories? Or experience a new light in another world?"

I thought about it and shrugged. "Alright I'll bite, where am I going?" The light god handed me a book with a title, Monster Girl Encyclopedia World Guide 1: Fallen Maidens. "No." Was my immediate response, the light god nodded and took the book back. "It must be very hard to know that world and willingly join it but it is for a good cause rather than just me telling you to." I raised an eyebrow at this, I had no idea what they meant but it did pique my interest. "The world of Duel Monsters is taking over the world of MGE, or more accurately its a group of individuals using their advanced technology to gather resources for the resurrection of their GOD."

I may have processed that info a bit longer than I would have liked but come on! One anime world is taking over another and I need to save them?! Clique if I ever heard it. I heard a bit of shuffling and looked back to the light god. They held up some sort of glowing orb, inside was the entire world of MGE's very own Lescatie. "Please, I can't leave here myself. Not with all these lost souls like you around to take care of. I can give you three things of your choice but you gotta stop GOD'S cult. They gave me the biggest puppy dog eyes I have ever seen, so with a heavy sigh I agreed.

"So first order of business, what are your weapons?"

I gave it some thought and came to the simple conclusion. "I want Yusei's deck at the end of 5DS." The light god winced at that. "Oh, sorry see I can't throw all that power at once into a world, kind of like the stone tablets Z-one used for Shooting Star Dragon and the Mek Lords.

I can only give you small things like the occasional structure deck, or box set."

I shrugged at that. "I can work with that, can I get synchron extreme with Stardust dragon as my first item?" After I got the confirmation nod I continued. " I would like the Yusei Go with working momentum similar to the crimson dragon wings Yusei had against Z-one as my second item. And for the third, magical immunity so I don't get caught up by some monster mana or something weird like that." The light god just gave me a thumbs up before raising their hand up to my forehead.

"You will be able to reach your stuff via mind portal, similar to clear mind but you don't need speed for this. You obviously don't have your body so I'll just reincarnate you to a point before the invasion starts, with my powers in time manipulation you should have until your seventeenth birthday before you get a challenge from GOD'S cult duelists. Good luck, and take care my friend." I felt myself be pushed out of my center of gravity before feeling absolute dark cover my vision.

I awoke to the sound of my own crying as my new body was born and a doctor raised me up to check my health. When I was finally handed of to my new mother she announced my new name to the world and it horrified me…my new name was none other than the name of Lescatie's own protagonist. My new name was Elt.

Fuck.

Authors note: Hey guys this introductory chapter might be a bit short but i just wanted to test the waters a bit, I always wondered what would happen if the broken abilities of the yugioh world came to play in the world of MGE. Particularly I had the hilarious thought of Druella trying some stupid shit and season zero Yami Yugi penalty gaming her ass lol. Or a monster trying to race Yusei only to get left behind as he Accel synchros Shooting Star Dragon and goes faster than light itself. But any who y'all theorize who the GOD'S cult is trying to revive. Hint: It's not Z-one, but it is a yugioh villain!
