Walking Dead: Fresh New Start

Chapter 1 of Episode 2 of my Walking Dead Fresh New Start series just a way to welcome people back, re-introduce the characters and give a moment of concern at the end, showing that things are picking up, anyway, enjoy.

Episode 2: Chapter 1

The school was full of chatter as the students were milling about, preparing for another day at school. It had been a month or so since the fun hangout at the skate park for one particular group of friends who were seated in the cafeteria as they waited, at their usual table. They were all dressed in their school uniforms, although something was different, due to it now being winter time and therefore the temperatures had dropped. This meant that the girls no longer wore their below knee socks and instead wore thick tights while the boys who wore shorts with their uniforms, in the case of the friend group that meant Ryan, Gabe, Erich, Chad, Louis and Duck, were now wearing slacks like the other boys. The conversation between the group was casual for the moment, and one of them, the newest member of the friend group, Ryan Ericson, a young man of medium height, around five foot seven with short dark red hair, hazel eyes and fair skin, he also had a fairly toned build. On either side of him was his first friends at the school, one of them a five foot nine young man with long legs and a slim build, as well as short light blonde almost brunette hair and blue eyes named Erich Goring. The other was shorter, around five foot six with long blonde hair tied in a ponytail and green eyes as well as an average build named Chad Petersen, both were also fair skinned.

Seated opposite the boys were two girls and another boy. Opposite Ryan was Clementine Everett, a five foot one girl, with medium length curly dark brown hair, golden brown eyes framed with long lashes, her skin was a pleasing caramel shade and she had an athletic build. Opposite Erich was a girl with short but thick black hair that didn't quite reach her shoulders, olive toned skin with soft brown eyes behind red framed slightly thick glasses, she was skinny, rather petite, her name was Sarah Chaikin. The boy opposite Chad meanwhile was lanky with short brown hair, brown eyes and fair skin with prominent ears, his name was Kenny Jr., better known to them as Duck. The next prominent people seated at the table were two newly formed couples. The first was Gabriel Garcia, better known as Gabe, and Brody Burress. Gabe was a little taller than Ryan with medium length messy brown hair and brown eyes, tanned skin and somewhat lanky. Brody around medium height, fair skinned with long auburn hair tied back in a ponytail, light blue eyes and a slender curvy build with long legs. The other two were a boy, somewhat tall, with dark skin hinting at an Indian heritage, short black hair and black eyes and a girl who was somewhat short with short red hair, blue eyes and pale freckled skin and had a chubby and admittedly busty build, which also showed mainly on her legs, they were, respectively, Aasim Rajan and Ruby Hillis.

The remaining members of the friend group were all single and were all simply chatting. They were mostly boys, with only three other girls. The first boy was Omar Silverstein, a slightly chubby dark skinned young man with brown afro hair, brown eyes and a casual smile, then was Louis Sulieman, who was was tall with dreadlocked dark brown hair and brown eyes, light brown skin and a lanky build. The other two boys were Marlon Chase, a tall blonde boy with his hair in a messy mullet, blue eyes and fair skin, and Mitch Daymond, also tall with short but messy brown hair, brown eyes and fair skin, both had normal but broad shouldered builds. Of the three girls, the first two were twins, although with enough differences to tell them apart. Both were tall, lanky with red hair and light green eyes, but Minerva Leigh had shorter hair which was shaved on the left side and a scar in her eyebrow while Sophie had her hair long and no scars. The final girl was Violet Adlon, a girl around five foot two, yet despite that she had long legs, shown by her uniform. She also had short somewhat stringy blonde hair with heavy bangs, pale skin and green eyes with strong features.

As the conversation between the two couples began to change and Ryan and Erich's attention began to wander, Chad took note of the last two members of the group, the youngest. One was somewhat below medium height with short brown hair, brown eyes and fair skin, fairly skinny, his name was Willy Cowden. Then was the adopted brother of Minerva and Sophie, Tenn, who was dark skinned with short cut black hair and black eyes and, shockingly, a burn scar on the right side of his face. He glared at two girls who were getting too close though, likely with something unpleasant in mind.

'Yeah, that's right, back off you evil bitches.' He thought angrily as they stepped back.

Both girls were the top cheerleaders and evil bullies who had finally been given a taste of justice after being reported for bullying Sarah and Duck, with video proof. Both girls were of medium height, one had a petite figure with lightly tanned skin, some Asian features with shoulder length brown hair, thick eyebrows and brown eyes. The other was dark skinned with short black dread-locked hair, brown eyes, an average build and full lips. They were respectively Becca Jones and Michelle Brown. Erich glared at them too, disliking them for bullying Sarah most of all. His gaze then went back over to Sarah.

'She's...I, wow...I can't help it lately.' He thought to himself. 'I keep, I keep wondering about her, asking myself if I, do I really feel that way…?'

He bit his lip and prayed that the heat he felt rising to his face didn't mean he was blushing.

Meanwhile Ryan bit his lip, glancing over at Clementine.

'I...what do I say...we've never really, been the same since that kiss...but I-' He wondered worriedly.

He quickly looked away however when Clementine looked in his direction, not wanting to get caught. Finally the bell went and so they left for their first classes, the two couples finalising their plans which they had in mind for that weekend.

Later in the day however, Ryan looked out of a window in the school corridor as they passed. He was worried and it was certainly noticeable to his two best friends who were walking with him.

"Hey, Ryan, you okay dude?" Chad asked.

He started and turned to them. "Huh, oh...um, well I am kinda worried guys."

"Worried?" Erich echoed.

Ryan nodded. "Yeah I just...I keep feeling like I'm being watched."

That shocked them and they began to share his worries, wondering if he was right, if he was indeed being followed and if so, by who?
