This is about a girl named Anastasia. Until she was only six years old, she had a happy life. She lived peacefully with her mother and father in a great house in Washington. It was a great life, they had their hopes and dreams with desires.
Then one day, while on the trip home from an amusement park, a terrible thing happened. A slip caused the car to crash into the ditch and killed Anastasia's mother and father. Now this is a horrible thing that can happen to two gentle parents.
Their troubles were over in a speeding bullet, at least it was quick. They were dead and gone in forty five seconds flat. For Anastasia however, her troubles were just the beginning. She was sent away to live with her step aunt. Her name is Meredith and she's a horrible person.
Right from the beginning, she started to beat Anastasia for almost no reason at all. She made Anastasia wear rags and made her do all of the chores in the house. She even made her sleep in the garage. As time went on, she became sadder and more lonely. Anastasia was abused, humiliated and treated like a slave.
After Anastasia lived with her step aunt for three years, there came a time when Anastasia did something that she should've done when she first lived with her.
