"Oh, my, it's Christmas!" Tenth Doctor said, when he opened Tardis' door to check what was outside.
"What? Impossible!" Master raised his head from the console.
"Ten is right, it's definitely Christmas. Yay!" Thirteen joined her younger regeneration to glimpse a London's street decorated with blooming lights.
"No, definitely not. Can we park somewhen else?" Spymaster asked.
"Not really, Tardis needs to recharge and we are grounded for few days." Twelve explained.
All Masters groaned.
"But that's great." Ten joined four other time lord around the console. "We can spend this time together."
"You mistakenly assume that we all want to play in that barbaric event."
"Why not, Master?"
"It's stupid."
"A lot of fuss about nothing important." Spymaster added.
"And in the morning they will start to kill each other again. Probably a little slower with that hangover." Missy threw her hands up.
"Let's vote then." Thirteen jumped in.
"It would three against three." Master shook his head. "You have to think about other solution or..."
"I vote - No." Twelve said.
"What!? Why!?" Both Doctors shouted in despair.
"It would be four against three." the other Doctor stated. "End of discussion."
ooo
"Have you seen Thirteen?" Spymaster asked Ten, who was 'casually' strolling Tardis' corridors.
"Umm...Yes! I actually have, but she's tied up now and whatever you would like to ask her, she will not be bale to help you." He finished in one breath.
"...I won't even bother trying to understand it, but if she will need me, she may find me in the engine room. As soon as we would leave this place, the better."
"Yup, no problemo, I'll tell her that."
Spymaster just shook his head and left.
Ten waited few more minutes, then quickly turned right and entered a nearby storage room, where he usually kept Christmas' decorations. Unfortunately, they were put at the highest shelf in the room and nor he or his lady-self weren't sure where the ladder actually was, so Thirteen just volunteered to climb up. Regrettably, she slipped near the top, hit the other shelf, a few boxes fell down and on the way down Christmas lights seemed to tied themselves around the time lady (Ten still tried to comprehend how it had happened), as the result - Doctor did not hit the floor, but was left dangling a meter above the ground.
"Have you find the ladder?" Thirteen asked, when Ten entered the storage.
"Not yet. Spymaster was passing by, it means that others maybe as well. We would need to wait."
"What?! No way! Come and help!"
"I did that and it only made matters worse. We broke Christmas tree!" He pointed at green branches left on the floor. "How can we make a Christmas party without the tree?!"
"And pray tell me what you're doing here?" Missy suddenly appeared next to Ten. (Oh, no, he didn't close the door!)
"It isn't it what you're thinking!" Doctor tried to hide the time lady behind himself.
"Oh, is it? But I must say that's hilarious." Missy clapped her hands. "You look like that angel decoration, which humans put that x-mas trees. But if only, the lights were on... oh, nevermind, I found the switch! Gosh! That's just GREAT!"
"Yeah, Ha, Ha, Ha." Thirteen sneered. "Can you just help?!"
"Why? I should actually call boys, so they could enjoy the view."
"PLEASE, NO!" both Doctors pleaded.
"Fine, fine. You two try to play X-mas, even if we decided that we wouldn't do it, don't you?"
"Yes / No."
"Ugh, just agree on one thing, dumbasses, and I may help you."
"Really? That would be amazing!" Ten jumped excited. "But wait, it would be still a drew. Even with you, it would be three against three."
"Leave Masters to me. Then Twelve would have no choice, but to agree to celebrate your X-event. And I want a new hat, make sure that Doctor Grinch would buy the right one."
"I don't even know what I could give Spymaster." Thirteen suddenly realised.
"Me, too."
"Just promise to take them to one of those posh restaurants, when waiters adore to please their customers." Missy proposed. "Both boys are starving for royal attention. Ugh, me too... So all's clear?"
Two Doctors nodded happily, it seemed that they would have Christmas after all.
"And remember," Missy warned. "If I didn't like my present, I would turn your internal organs into ducks and eat them for dinner!"
...or maybe not.
ooo
In the end, they decorated Tardis's console in ribbons, angels and all other Christmas decorations. Master stated that it was silly, but when Tardis left only the lights in the center of the room on, even he admitted that it looked quite charming.
"Are you sure that all is okay?" Ten whispered to Thirteen, when all time lords started to open theirs presents. So far, it was Twelve, who enjoyed his gift the most - notes to his favourite song, which he lost a longer time ago and which Missy recently found... in the fridge.
"Of course, it is." the time lady hushed him. "Missy got her hat. Yellow hat. I told you that I know her the longest and I definitely remember that she was telling me that it was her favourite colour... or something about that... yes, something about yellow... yellow... she could have said that she hated it..."
"What?!" Doctor squeaked and moved closer to his older self, when Missy sent them both a nasty smile.
"Will you open your present?" Master materialized in front of Ten with a red-green envelope and almost gave him a heart attack.
"Y-yess, just let me rest for a second."
"Thirteen, you should do it as well." The time lady took a similar envelope from Spymaster with trembling hands.
Twelve was wondering what actually happened in next minute, becasue his two regenerations were just shrinking under Missy's gaze, but then they suddenly got up and started hugging both Masters in 'best present ever' mode. What was wrong with them? What was inside those envelopes?
Fortunately for Doctor, one of them fell on the ground:
'I will make sure that SHE won't kill you.'
Oh.
ooo
"Did you enjoy our small celebration?" Twelve asked Missy, when they both were left alone in Tardis' console room.
"Oh course, I did. My new hat is marvellous."
"That's good, because I have another one for you."
Missy blinked confused, when a purple box with a new much more elegant hat was put in front of her.
"Oh, come on." Doctor winked. "It's was clear that they didn't know what they were doing. If you want, we can burn that yellow monster in the first fireplace, which we come buy."
"YES, PLEASE."
"But don't kill them."
"I may reconsider it, but..." Missy started, however there was question, which was flowing in her head since they landed in London. "Why didn't you want to celebrate Christmas? I've thought that's your thing."
"I like it, yes." Doctor sighed. "But it looses its magic, when on each such day you're fighting an alien invasion or just running to save your life... Also, in last days all six of us had a tough time, we all try to get used to this new life... you may say that Christmas came to soon this year."
"I liked it." Missy blurted out suddenly, making Doctor's eyes shine in that specific way, which she always adored. "I may not be a fan of it, but we should try it in next year as well."
"AAAAAAAAAAA!"
"What was that?" Doctor jumped out of his skin.
"It sounded like Spymaster." Missy said. "Oh, he had to find out that Thirteen hid herself under his bed."
"What?"
"And I'm sure that Ten was asking Master, if he could sleep in his room tonight." she put her NEW hat on her head. "So, I swear that I will not kill them, dear. But they don't need to know that, do they?"
To her astonishment, her grumpy and serious Doctor started laughing and she was quick to follow. Yes, it was good to have a Merry Christmas after all.
