Amelia and Clary came through the portal alright but 2 steps into the room Amelia collapsed. Clary rushed back to her helping her sit up against the wall. When she pulled her hand away it was covered in blood. "Amelia you're bleeding, on your side and your leg. What happened?"
She just shrugged, trying to get up but falling back down again. Just shaking her head. "Don't worry about that or this. I'll be fine in a bit, just need to rest a bit and maybe turn too."
Clary shook her head. "Maybe I should call Alec."
Amelia just shook her head. "Don't do that."
"But you're hurt, you need him."
She bit her lip, growling slightly. "I'm fine. Just give me some time, there is nothing to worry about. Don't bother Alec with this."
Clary shook her head pulling out her phone. "I'm sorry Amelia, but we need his help to get you back to your room." With that she dialed Alec's number putting the phone to her ear.
When Alec seen who was calling him, he just answered with "What?"
Clary's voice was soft. "We are in the portal room. Amelia is hurt. She can't even stand, come quick."
Alec was up in a second, hanging up the phone. "Magnus up now. We need to get to the portal room."
Magnus rolled over, hugging Alec around the waist. "Can't we just stay? I was having fun."
Alec shook his head. "You have 2 minutes. I'll be back with Jace." He was up and out of the room, banging on Jace's door. When he didn't answer he banged again. A few seconds later Jace came to the door in just sweatpants.
"Alec, what is it?" He was annoyed and glaring at his parabatia.
"Clary and Amelia are back. But Amelia is hurt Clary called me about it."
Shock crossed Jace's face. "You serious?" He shook his head. "Of course, you are. You wouldn't lie." He grabbed a t-shirt.
Jace followed Alec to Alec's suit where he just opened the door. "Magnus, you ready?"
Magnus appeared at the door. "For your parabatia, always, Alec." He placed a hand on Alec's lower back, calming him ever so slightly. "I'm sure she will be okay she is extremely strong."
Alec nodded. "I know she is. But she still can be hurt, even so hurt that she can't move. I mean why would Clary have to call me in the first place?"
Jace shook his head, walking into the portal room. What he saw wasn't good. Amelia was on his left, usual wall where incoming portals were made. Though it was Alec who push past him to get to Amelia first.
"What the hell happened to you?" Alec turned his attention to Magnus. "Seal the room completely, please."
Magnus nodded, waving his hand and a blue sparking shield surrounded the room. "You're safe to speak freely."
Jace's eyes met Amelia's. "Alec, asked you a question, what happened to you Amelia?"
Amelia huffed. "I was in a fight. Guards came to Downworld in search of Clary. My city guards didn't shut down the city fast enough, so the leaders had to defend the city. Ensure Clary was safe."
Alec pulled up her shirt. "So, a shadowhunter weapon got you in the fight. Were you human at the time?"
She turned to glare at him. "I didn't have my weapons with me, so I turned. It was safer this way."
Jace nodded. "Clary, you didn't call after this happened?"
Clary looked up at Jace. "I didn't know. When we came through the portal she collapsed. I went to help her sit up but when I pulled my hand away it was covered in blood."
Magnus knelt beside Alec. "So, I guess a portal to our room is a bad idea?"
Alec nodded. "Ya, it would be bad. But we need to get her to our room. Then you can work your magic on her."
Amelia just glared at Alec. "There isn't a need for that. Just get me to my room. Very soon I'll be able to use my healing rune."
Clary pulled out her stele. "I can activate it for her right now." She took a step closer but was met with Alec's bow.
"Don't you dare." There was a dark edge to Alec's voice when he said it. Enough to make Clary step back.
Jace looked at this, the two betas going at it. Though Alec was the stronger one. "Do you want help carrying her back to your room, Alec?"
Alec nodded. "That would be helpful."
He and Jace lifted her up. Jace telling Clary to return to their shared room and wait for him there. With the seal broken Jace, Alec and Magnus helped Amelia back to Alec's room and all the way to the bed where Magnus put out a white sheet.
Alec looked questionably at his mate. "White? It is going to be ruined after this Magnus."
He just nodded, waving his hand towards the sheet. "Alexander, it is fine. Just put her on there then Jace can leave."
It took 10 minutes, lots of hissing, growling and a few choice words before Amelia was semi comfortable laying on the bed. When she was Jace bowed out telling Alec he'd check on them in the morning and left.
Alec got the first aid kit from his office bringing it back into the bedroom. For a few seconds she did look peaceful until Magnus went to raise her shirt.
"It's FINE …" Amelia hissed out.
Alec came over. "Amelia, please let me have a look at both cuts then we can snuggle the night away, like we use to do, remember those nights?"
Amelia thought back. Before they left Idris, Alec and her use to take turns sneaking into each other's rooms to snuggle all night. "Couch?" She turned cat eyes to him.
"No here but let us look at these first." Alec very carefully pulled up her shirt. It was bloodstained and ruined. "I'm tossing this. We will never get the blood out of it."
Magnus grimaced. "As you wish, we can bandage the wounds then watch a really sappy movie."
The look on Amelia's face wasn't a happy one. "Can't we just sleep, and you read to us Alec?"
Magnus looked at his beta, then at the wounded kitten in front of him. "I'm sure if you want that, Alec will be happy to grant you that wish."
Alec's mouth hung open. "I haven't read to you in years. I don't have any story books here either."
Magnus smiled. "I have plenty of books, anyone you want him to read just name it."
"Beauty and the beast then The Christmas Carol."
Alec smiled. "Your two favourites. I swear you could read those to me without opening the books."
She just smiled up at him. "Please Alec, I'm being good, letting your alpha/warlock bandage my wounds."
Alec looked down at the wounds. "On one condition, you stay with Magnus and I here until you're fully healed."
Amelia nodded. "I will agree to that."
Alec got up going to his office returning with 2 picture books meant for 10-year-old kids to read. "These are the only 2 I have kept with me all these years."
Amelia glanced around. "Magnus, when you're done. I have a pair of sweats and sweatshirts and t-shirt in my room on my bed, could you grab them then Alec can help me change."
Magnus looked at his beta before nodding. Taping the last bandage before snapping his fingers to retrieve the clothes. "I can help you dress too kitten."
Amelia shook her head. "Just Alec, you can stay if you wish though."
Alec nodded grabbing the t-shirt before helping her out of her bra. "You know he will see it from where he's standing, Amelia."
She blushed. "I know that. It has just been misbehaving lately so I didn't want him to be hit by it."
Alec looked down at her jeans. They were already undone but like he and Jace they were tight. "Amelia, with the rip in these can I just cut them?"
Amelia glared at him. "Have Magnus help you get them off, don't cut them. They are my favourite pair."
Magnus nodded. "Hang onto the bar above your head kitten. I can levitate you. Will make Alec's job of pulling them off easier but you have to hang on tight."
Amelia nodded grabbing the bar above her head that looked to be coming out of the headboard. As soon as she did her body raised up. "Magnus, just be careful please, I mean it has a mind of its own."
Magnus looked concerned as he seen a long black tail fall out of her pants and start twitching angrily about. He laughed slightly pleased. "Can it help you fight when you're human?"
Amelia nodded. "Actually, it can. I even have a special weapon for it that it can fight with."
Alec's mouth hung open. "Nikki, I presume?"
Amelia shook her head. "Ryan and Samuel. The weapon is derived from a seelie and elf weapon they worked together to make it for me."
Just as Alec finished getting her sweats on her there was a knock at the door.
Magnus and Alec both turned to the door. "Wonder who that could be."
Another knock, but this time on Alec's office.
Magnus glanced that way. "You go deal with that I'll get the kitten and myself settled for the night."
Alec huffed, hating to leave Amelia. "You'll be okay?"
Amelia nodded. "Don't take too long though please."
Alec nodded before sliding off the bed and heading to his office closing the joining door. He unlocked his office door swinging it open revealing his younger brother and Raven. He huffed at them. "you both should be in bed."
Raven hid behind Max. "Raven wanted to see Amelia. He got worried about her."
Alec got down on a knee. "She is okay. But she needs some rest. So, no visitors right now. Maybe before bedtime tomorrow night. But text first, Max. you should have known better."
They both nodded, leaving Alec alone in his office.
Meanwhile
Magnus fluffed the pillows then set Amelia down, so she was half on them.
"Do you feel okay?"
Amelia nodded snuggling under the blanket. "I'm good, you know sore cause what happened. But I'll survive."
Magnus smiled. "Why those 2 books?"
Amelia looked at him. "They were the 2 books Alec use to read to me when we were little, when I use to sneak into his room until … well until he left."
Magnus looked at her, slightly confused. "You mean he and Jace left you in Idris?"
Amelia nodded.
Alec joined them on the bed. "It was just Max and Raven." He pulled Amelia close. "My mother said you ran off the night before!"
She gasped. "She said that?" Her eyes met up with his. "The night when I got back to my room, she was waiting for me. Told me I was a worthy weapon only. That Jace and Alec didn't need me around, and I should go join my own kind in the Downworld." She took a breath. "So, the next morning I left."
Alec kissed her. "I had no idea. There is nothing we can do about it now." He pulled the books out. "Do you want me to read these now?"
Amelia shook her head. "I just want to lay here and be who I really am, rather what I really am."
Magnus looked at her. "You like being an omega?"
Amelia blushed. "Not exactly. But when I'm with Alec it is different. You see Alec never treated me any differently."
Magnus snuggled behind her. "Alright kitten, you sleep."
BREAK
A few hours later, Magnus woke up being hit by something. He opened his eyes to see that Amelia's tail had escaped her sweats and was hitting him. He reached over running his hand up and down Alec's arm before leaning in for a kiss.
"Magnus, what is it?" Alec replied.
"Your parabatia's tail is hitting me."
Alec laughed, grabbing Amelia's tail before pushing it down into her sweats again, "better?"
Magnus nodded before looking at his phone. "Alec it's after 8am I was thinking maybe we should wake her and get her something to eat."
Alec nodded. "That is probably a good idea. Go get something ready in the living room and I will wake the kitten here."
Magnus nodded leaving Alec as he reached to grab the first aid kit again to rebandage her wounds. It was morning which would hopefully mean that they could use her healing rune on her sometime soon, which would make her back to her normal self.
A few minutes later Jace came into the room, he smiled at Magnus. "I have a key for Alec's room, have had it for a while. How is Amelia this morning?"
Magnus shrugged. "Alec was just waking her up. She basically just wanted to sleep last night after we got her bandaged up and settled."
Jace nodded. "That sounds like Amelia. She would have had some big plans but each time she got hurt before it was, she wanted to heal on her own then activate her healing rune after a few hours. I am glad that you and Alec were able to convince her to stay where she was last night." Jace smiled at the spread of food. "I'm going to go in the room and check on them."
Magnus nodded going back to his breakfast preparations.
Jace walked into the room closing the door behind him. Amelia was curled up on Alec only glancing at the door. "How are you feeling this morning?"
Alec smiled. "She is very snuggly this morning, you care to come join us?"
Jace shook his head sniffing the air at the same time. His eyes grew big as he smelt it. "You are about to go into heat."
Amelia sleepily nodded. "In a day or so. Nikki would be dealing with it this time for me. Traditionally I would just go and join him for a few days and then be back to my normal self. But with you and Alec and Magnus here I don't think that will be needed." She rolled over giving Jace her back. "If you'd be so kind as to trace over the healing rune for me Jace."
Jace nodded holding out his hand to Alec. "Are we doing parabatia healing? Or you good with just regular rune?"
Alec answered. "Use my stele but do a regular one."
Jace nodded pulling up Amelia's shirt focusing on her back before her healing rune became visible to him. He held out his hand for the stele and then traced over the rune. Him drawing it with Alec's stele would cause her to heal a bit faster but would mean she wouldn't be fully healed until at least tomorrow morning. Which would probably mean that she would be locked up in this suite for at least a few days then. He then handed it back to Alec before pulling her shirt back down running his fingers along their parabatia rune. The touch of it made her shiver. "I have to get back to Izzy. I just wanted to see how she was doing this morning."
They both nodded. "I will survive don't worry. Just need a day or two and for Izzy not to go into full heat for a bit and it should all be fine."
Jace blushed. "I'm sorry Amelia but she should be going full into it in a few hours." He turned towards the door after hearing her huff. "Is it really that bad what you have to deal with when Izzy goes into a full heat?"
Amelia rolled over placing her head into Alec's lap. She waved her hand shewing Jace away, not really want to talk about her heats and how when Jace went at Izzy the way he usually did during heat she could feel everything he did. This was something she had talked to Alexis about when her parabatia alpha partner had gotten together with an omega. She had explained that the beta should be able to block the signal if they were close enough to either one of the two but there had to be skin to skin contact the entire time. "Just text Alec when you are finished."
Alec ran his fingers through her hair softly, he enjoyed that he had taken it down last night and that she hadn't gotten around to re-braiding it this morning. "Is there anything I can do?"
"Apparently, I heard that the beta can block some of what is coming from the alpha if they stay touching the feelings from the alpha won't make it to the omega. But we have to stay touching each other until Izzy is done."
Alec smiled looking down at her. "Did you want me to get Magnus to bring breakfast in here for us to have?"
Amelia shook her head. "That would be too much work for your mate to do. We can just hold hands or something like that all the way through breakfast and then we can come back into here and snuggle for a bit. I mean as long as your mate is okay with snuggling together."
