Roman and Kay only had to wait around 30 minutes before Seth and Dean pulled up in a car with a trailer behind it. They stopped next to Roman's car and rolled down the window.

"What are we dealing with?" Seth asked.
"Her whole fucking family," Roman sighed.
"My father, three brothers and my spawn point," Kay said.
"Spawn point?" Dean laughed. "I'm assuming that is your mother."
"You assume correctly, good sir," Kay said.
"I like her," Dean grinned. "She's a keeper, Roman."
"I already know that," Roman said. "Are you guys ready?"

Dean cracked his knuckles on both hands and then cracked his head from side to side.

"I'm ready," Dean said.
"Don't start a fight," Seth said.
"I won't," Dean said. "But I'll answer to a fight if someone else starts it."
"Let's just get this over with," Roman said.

Roman drove first, and Seth and Dean followed behind in Seth's car. The turned into the street Kay lived on, and her family was still waiting outside her apartment complex. They parked and everyone stared at Kay as she stepped out of Roman's car.

"Finally," her father said. "We need to talk."

Roman ran to Kay's side and placed an arm around her shoulders.

"Ignore them," Roman said.
"You have some nerve, son!" Her father sneered.

Roman ignored Kay's father and escorted her towards the entrance to the building. Seth and Dean were right behind them and blocked the entrance while Roman and Kay continued up the stairs to the first floor.

"Get out of my way!" Her mother demanded.
"Make me," Dean challenged.
"Move or we'll call the police," her father said.
"Go ahead," Seth said. "I'm sure they'd love to hear all about how you let a child abuser back into your life."
"Don't you fucking call my mother that!" One of her brothers yelled.
"I don't know what bothers me the most right now," Seth kept calm. "The fact that your mother did all that to Kay, or the fact that the rest of you don't care about it. You all saw her scars. You all know what that bitch did to her, and you still think she matters more than Kay. None of you deserve Kay in your life."
"How do you...?" Her father started.
"How do we know?" Dean bared his teeth for a brief moment. "She fucking showed us. We saw what that bitch did!"

Dean pointed at Kay's mother and once again bared his teeth. Kay hadn't shown them her body but her family didn't know that. Kay had told them just enough last night after her breakdown for them to know what had happened. They knew they didn't know even half of what she had told Roman, but they knew enough.

"The only reason you're not picking up your teeth with broken fingers right now is because I promised I wouldn't start a fight," Dean said. "But I dare you to fucking hit me. Hit me once and I'll be ending the fight you started."
"Did you take your pills today?" Seth asked.
"Nope!" Dean answered. "You know I don't like how I feel when I'm medicated."
"But it helps with your anger. I don't like seeing you angry. You're fucking scary. Last time you sent a guy to the hospital with a cracked skull," Seth said.
"I could have done more," Dean said.
"You would have done more if I hadn't stopped you," Seth said.

Seth and Dean knew each other enough to continue with lying like this once one of them had started a story to scare others. Kay's family slowly backed away and put some distance between them which had been the goal all along.

Meanwhile Roman was busy packing Lolo's things while Kay was packing a bag of clothes so she could stay at Roman's place for a few days. Lolo was sitting on the bed watching Kay while eating a snack. Roman walked in to join them, sat down on the bed, and scratched Lolo's ears.

"I never thought I would be a rabbit person," he said.
"How can you not be with her?" She asked.
"I know," he chuckled. "She's adorable."

He stood up and gave her a quick kiss.

"So is her human mom," he said. "I love you."
"I love you more," she said.
"Not possible," he said.
"I beg to differ," she said.
"We love each other equally," he said.
"I needed to hear that right now," she said.

He pulled her in for a quick hug and kiss.

"I've been meaning to ask you something," he said.
"Ask away," she said.
"I even brought it up with the guys last night before you came running back so you know it's not this whole thing making me bring it up. I felt this way before too," he said.
"Was there an actual question in that short monologue?" She asked.
"Sorry, I'm nervous," he said.
"Nervous?" She asked. "Now you're making me nervous."
"I'm sorry," he laughed. "I was just wondering if maybe we should move in together."

She stood still for two seconds, then dropped the sweater she was about to pack, and flew into his arms and kissed him.

"Is that a yes?" He asked.
"Hell, yes!" She grinned. "When?"

He looked around and smiled.

"How about today?" He asked. "The guys are already downstairs with a trailer. They can quickly move whatever you want to bring to my house."
"Fuck the furniture. All that stuff can be donated," she said. "I'm bringing my cookbooks."
"You got a great collection," he said.
"I love cooking," she said.
"I love eating. We're a perfect match," he said.

She laughed and gave his arm a gentle squeeze.

"Are we really doing this?" She asked.
"Yes," he said.
"Get all my clothes out of the closet. I'm getting a roll of garbage bags to carry everything," she said.

She ran out to the kitchen and came back with a roll of garbage bags as promised. They quickly packed everything that she wanted to bring with her.

"Get the guys," she said.

He walked over to the front door and whistled down to get Seth and Dean's attention. They ran up the stairs and into her apartment where everything was ready to be carried down to the trailer.

"She's moving in with me," he said.
"Great," Seth said. "You're buying us pizza afterwards."
"All the pizza you can eat," Roman said.
"Oh my god," Dean lit up in a smile. "What a cutie."

Dean moved over to Kay who was standing with Lolo in her arms. He gently patted the rabbit's head while his smile kept growing wider.

"Dean has a thing for animals," Roman said.
"I'm gonna visit more often now I know there's a white furball in your house," Dean chuckled.
"Alright, let's get this show on the road," Roman said. "Kay, stay here while we carry everything down. We're gonna move you and Lolo last."
"I'm gonna put her in her carrier," Kay said.

Roman nodded and grabbed a couple of bags. Seth and Dean followed Roman's lead and they worked together with running up and down the stairs with her stuff. It didn't take long before they only needed Kay and Lolo.

"We got you," Roman said. "If they come near you, Dean's gonna punch them out."
"Always leave it to me to be the bad guy," Dean grinned. "It's because I hit the hardest."
"You do not," Roman laughed. "I could totally take you."
"Bring it on," Dean challenged.
"No fighting!" Seth admonished. "Let's go."

Kay took a deep breath and walked down the stairs. Roman was right beside her while Seth and Dean followed behind.

"Kay!" Her father called. "Kay, please! Let's talk about this!"
"No!" Kay snapped. "That woman fucking tortured me for 10 years. You made your choice. You chose her over me. I no longer have a family. Leave me the fuck alone."
"You're still a little witch, I see," her mother said.

Dean moved fast towards Kay's mother while letting out what sounded like a rottweiler barking. Kay's mother screamed in fear and jumped behind Kay's father.

"One more word out of you and I'll let him attack," Seth said.
"We're her family now," Dean said. "She doesn't need any of you cruel people. If you ever come near her again, we're gonna fuck you up beyond recognition."

Kay got into Roman's car and heard her father continue calling her name. She ignored him while he kept calling. Next to him her brothers looked shocked at seeing her turn her back on them. Roman got into the driver's seat and took off with Seth and Dean following behind. Kay blew out her breath and fell back in the seat.

"That was the hardest thing I've ever done," she said.
"You're okay," he said.
"Not really but I will be," she said.

She took out her phone and blocked all of their numbers.

"A wise man once told me it's okay to block family members," she said.
"He sounds very smart," he said.
"He is," she smiled. "And he looks amazing with a towel wrapped around his waist."

He snorted in laughter and turned into his driveway.

"Don't worry, baby girl," he smirked. "I'm gonna make your towel boy fantasy into reality."

He looked up at his house and then back to her.

"Welcome home," he said.
