My Pov

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Grim jumped into my arms and Ran grabbed me. I believed in ghosts, sure, but I never thought I'd see one like this before.

"The people that lived here before got scared of us and left." the shorter ghost said.

"We've been looking for more ghost pals. How about you girls?" the fatter ghost suggested. All of us were shaking. Well, except for Fumino and Yurina.

"So cool!" Fumino exclaimed. The ghost seemed taken aback by her response.

"Amazing! You can't see ghost clearly like this in our world!" Yurina exclaimed. Of course. Fumino loved playing scary games and Yurina was into occult stuff like that. Grim was whimpering slightly before shaking himself and jumping out of my arms.

"The Great Wizard Grim isn't scared of some ghosts! Fgnyaa!" Grim exclaimed, letting loose his fire magic.

"Where are you aiming?" the skinny ghost asked.

"Over here! Over here! Heeheehee!" the fatter ghost taunted.

"Shoot! Stop disappearing!" Grim yelled. He once again shot fireballs at the ghost.

"Grim, stop! You'll burn the entire dorm down!" Ran yelled. I looked at Grim and noticed he closed his eyes every time he used his magic.

"Grim, if you close your eyes, you can't aim right!" I said.

"Shut up! Don't order me around!" Grim snapped.

"You might be able to win the headmaster's favor if you drive the ghost out." Hikari said. Grim visibly tensed at the mention of the headmaster.

"Get me a can of tuna and I'll help." Grim said.

"Fine!" Tora said. The ghost showed up again and started taunting Grim.

"Bunch of cowards ganging up on us!" Grim shouted.

"You can do it, Grim!" I cheered. Grim growled a little before turning to us.

"Hey, you all! Tell me where the ghosts appear!" Grim said. One of the ghost suddenly appeared to Grim's left while he was looking at us.

"To your left!" we yelled. After a couple of times, Grim's fire made contact with the ghost.

"Ow ow ow!" the ghosts cried.

"I hit them! All right, let's drive them out!" Grim exclaimed, firing one final fireball at the ghosts.

"We're goners! Run away!" the fatter ghost cried. All three of them quickly vanished.

"E, eh? We won?" Grim asked.

"That was amazing!" Arisa said.

"Thank you, Grim!" I said, picking the little cat up and hugging him.

"H-hey! Put me down!" Grim cried. He struggled for a brief second before relaxing. That... that was sc..." He suddenly stopped as we all looked at him.

"Were you scared?" Mikan asked. Grim jumped from my arms and seemed flustered.

"No, I wasn't scared at all!" Grim said. He had totally been scared until literally a second ago. "This was nothing for the Great Grim! How 'about that ghost? You done?" We didn't hear a response, but we did here footsteps coming toward the longue. That's when the door opened to reveal Crowley. Oh crap.

"Good evening, ladies. I have graciously brought you dinner." Crowley said, kindly. He brought us dinner? He was starting to seem like the saint of headmasters. However, his tone turned sour when he noticed Grim. You're the monster that ran amuck during the entrance ceremony! I threw you out of the school, what are you doing here?!" Grim simply smirked.

"I exterminated the ghost problem! Be grateful!" he said. Not really the tone use should taking with the person who runs the place you've been trying desperately to get into.

"Hmm? What do you mean by that?" Crowley asked. We quickly explained everything to Crowley; about the ghosts and how Grim drove them out. "Now that you mention it, there were some pranksters ghosts living here so students keep away from the dormitory... and that's why it's empty now. I'd forgotten that. However, hmmm... For all of you to work together to get rid of them." Grim suddenly interrupted Crowley.

"I'm not going to overlook that 'together' comment. They were all just standing and watching. And I did this for a can of tuna. Ah! I haven't gotten that tuna yet!" Grim said. Crowley seemed to be deep in thought for a moment. He then looked at all of us.

"I'd like all of you to demonstrate how you exterminated those ghosts." Crowley said.

"But we've already gotten rid of all the ghosts! Before that; Give. Me. Tuna!" Grim shouted.

"I shall be the ghosts. If you beat me, I'll give cans of tunas. For I am gracious." Crowley said. He then took a bottle from his cloak and drank the the liquid that was inside it. A cloud of smoke surrounded Crowley, before fading quickly to reveal he had transformed into a ghost.

"Eeeeeh, I don't wanna. This is a pain and I have to team up with them again..." Grim whined.

"Grim, you have another chance of getting into the school and getting tuna." Emiko said.

"Grr... This is the last time! You absolutely, absolutely have to give me tuna!" Grim exclaimed. Just as before, we gave Grim directions on where Crowley appeared. After a while, Crowley returned to his original self. "Hee-haaa... How 'about that!"

"I can't believe it... there are people that can command monsters. Hmmm... Actually, my teacher-senses were telling since the uproar during the entrance ceremony, that you girls have each have a talent as animal or wild beasts tamers." Crowley said. Beast tamers? I mean, the only ones that were really good with animals were Hikari, Nagisa and Arisa. The rest of us were only moderately good with them. "But... no matter how... *mutter*"

"Sir, could you please let Grim stay here with us and attend the school?" I asked. My sisters, Crowley and even Grim all look at me.

"Kokomi..." Tora said.

"What now? A monster?" Crowley asked.

"You..." Grim said. I bowed my head.

"Please!" I pleaded.

"... hah... It can't be helped." Crowley said. I raised my head with a hopeful look.

"Hnn!? Really!?" Grim asked hopefully.

"I can't simply allow someone, let alone a monster, who wasn't selected by the Dark Mirror into the school." Crowley said to Grim. He then turned to us. "And I simply can't let you girls be freeloaders here until you return to your own world.

"Well... talk about short-lived joy." Grim said, disappointed evident in his voice.

"Listen until the end." Crowley said. "Concerning the fact that your souls were called here, the school has to take responsibility as the owners of the Dark Mirror. For the time being you'll be permitted to stay in this dormitory for free. But, other necessities you will have to provide for yourselves."

"Sir, I know we have no money, so we'll work to earn our keep." Tora said.

"That's exactly what I had in mind; for you girls to do maintenance and odd jobs around the campus." Crowley said.

"That's perfectly fair. We're use to doing odd jobs in order to survive, so you won't hear any complaints from either of us." Yurina said. We all nodded in agreement.

"How wonderful! Such well-behaved and helpful young ladies. I only wish we could allow you all in the school. Still, maybe your mere presences will add a little something to the school." Crowley said. Our faces all became dusted with a tint rose pink. Never had a teacher say that about us. "Doing this will give you all special permission to remain on school grounds. You'll also be able to research going home or study whatever you desire in the library. For I am gracious. However! Only fter your work is done." We all nodded. He then looked at Grim. "Will you join them?"

"Eeeh!? I'm not okay with that! I wanna wear a fancy uniform and be a student!" Grim complained.

"It's fine if you're unsatisfied. I'll simply toss you out again." Crowley said.

"Grim, take it for us; don't complain and take what you can get." Fumino said.

"Ffgnaa!? I get it! I'll just have to do it. Just do it." Grim said. Once again, my sisters and I bowed our heads.

"Thank you for giving us this chance!" we all said.

"Good. Starting tomorrow, you'll all be the best handymen of Night Raven College! I bid you all good night!" Crowley said, before disappearing. We found that our food was still hot and that two cans of tuna had been. We all, Grim included, ate dinner, cleaned ourselves up and turned in for the night. Well, at least we'd have jobs and a place to live. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.
