It's Friday.

Maya's week has been incredible. The events of last Sunday have been making her even more positive about life than ever before, and social interactions have gone from being something that's simply easy to do to something actually enjoyable to her, and those interactions felt much more meaningful in general. It's crazy to think that her personality swung to such an extent, but she's more than happy with the results.

Today, however, something would take her by surprise...

She has just eaten lunch and was all alone on her table at the cafeteria, browsing on her phone. She kept looking for sales on Steam games, yet nothing of the sort came up so far. Suddenly, however...

"Hey, there!", A long-haired guy with a beanie, white shirt, blue flannel jacket and baggy pants said. It was Maya's crush. "Is this seat available?"

"Y-yes, it is!", She replied nervously.

He then sat beside her.

"It's him!", She thought. "No panic, Maya, you can do it!"

"Hey...", He began. "I think I've seen you before..."

"Really?", Maya asked, even more nervously.

"Yeah, I think so!", He replied. "I think I remember seeing you on the bus a while back."

"Oh no...", Maya thought, knowing exactly what he was talking about. "Really? I don't recall that...", Maya lied.

"Are you sure?", He asked. "I think you were the girl I sat next to one time. You were listening to Death Grips on your headphones and seemed very shy and nervous."

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA", She thought.

"Uhm...", Maya began, pausing for a second to decide how to continue. "OOOOOOOOOOH! I remember now, yeah! So it was you!"

"Yup!", He replied. "What is your name, by the way?"

"My name is Maya."

"Wait a minute... I think my friends know you!"

"Huh?"

"Yeah, they talk about how you were this quiet kid that suddenly started talking to everyone and befriending them. Do you happen to know Cato? You were all that she could talk about yesterday!"

"Oh, yeah, my sister Mymy introduced her to me last week. She's really cool!"

"Nice to know! Anyway, I think we should get to know each other better, you seem really cool and all."

Maya blushed.

"You think so?", She asked. "W-why thank you!"

"No problem, Maya. My name is Koert, by the way. I usually hang out at the roof during lunchtime, so if you want to find me, you can go there."

"Sure thing, Koert! Nice to meet you, by the way!"

"Nice to meet you too, Maya."

Koert then stood up.

"Gotta go now, see ya!"

"See ya!"

Maya then rested her head on the table and had a huge smirk on her face. Her crush wants to know her! And she managed to strike a conversation with him! She could only imagine all the things they could do together... hang out, drink, go to a concert, dance, k-

The school bell rang.

"Oh, right.", Maya said to herself. "Back to class..."

During class, however, she could not concentrate at all. Her mind focused only on Koert. She could not wait to see him again!

At home, she even started practicing what to say to him in her mirror. She did this for hours, only ever stopping to get another drink. This was her chance, and she could not afford to waste it!
