The portal opened in the middle of the forest, Keldysh was the first one to cross, followed by the men that had the family. The men put them on their knees as the portal closed behind them.

"Where are we?" asked Chayo.

Keldysh turned around to look into her eyes.

"Welcome home, G.I Jane"

Chayo was confused, but then she understood what her enemy meant. She was back to the future.

Keldysh ordered to put them on their feet, the mercenaries obeyed the order and started to take them to an unknown direction.

"Mommy what's gonna happen to us now?" asked Aleu pretty scared.

"As long as I'm breathing, I won't let anything happens to you. I swear."

"I'm scared Mom."

"Me too Honey, but you have to be strong. Okay?"

"Hey! Quit the chat!" ordered one of the men as he pushed Chayo forward.

Denahi was sitting on a rock; his hands covered his face as he disconsolately cried. He hadn't feel like that since the time he lost Chayo twice. But this time was worse, because he didn't just lose his wife but his daughters too. His family had been taken and he couldn't do anything to stop it.

In one moment, he felt a strong hand on his shoulder. Denahi lifted his look to meet his older brother's, Sitka felt empathy for his brother at seeing the pain and suffering on his face full of tears.

"Denahi, I understand what you're feeling this moment. But right now, we have to keep our heads cold and think about a plan to rescue the girls." Sitka then put both hands on Denahi's shoulders as he looked into his eyes. "And I promise you, that we'll get them back."

Suddenly Kenai came running to his brothers.

"What's going on?" Sitka

"We found something."

The trio leaded to the center of the village where Tanana and Koda were waiting for them. The young man had a strange object on his hands, it was small, one end was silver while the rest was blue.

"We found it at your tent." Koda told Denahi

This one took it from his brother's hands, after few moments of analyzing it he discovered what it was: an USB key. Denahi entered his home and started looking between his wife's stuff they could keep, he then found what he was looking for: her computer.

"Okay, let's see what this is."

Denahi sat on the ground and opened the computer, once on he connected the USB to next open the file.

As his brothers came in the file showed a video.

Of the person who had tormented Denahi in his dreams since days ago.

"Hello Boy"

Denahi could feel his blood freeze. No, Keldysh couldn't be alive. How was that even possible?

"I'm gonna answer your question: Yes, I'm still alive, all thanks to this trinket."

Keldysh showed to the camera the stone on his neck.

"Is dark magic, very powerful, is what has keeping me alive and young all this years. To finally be able to take my revenge against you. I've been watching you since that day, I know everything about you. And when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING."

Denahi's heart almost pops out from his chest when the camera showed his family and their conditions: The girls were tied up from the hands, the feet and had duct tape on the mouth.

"No"

"Yes boy, you took my dignity, my life and my future. Now I'll destroy everything you love the most. Starting with your beautiful family."

"He wouldn't dare"

"Shut up Koda! I can't hear this!" Denahi told him pretty upset.

"Unless that...you manage to arrive on time to my hideout. It is located at the caves of the South, there a portal will open to take you to my world, or better said, my time period, so you can rescue your beautiful family"

"Don't do it Denahi! He wants you!" yelled Chayo once she managed to take off the tape from her mouth. But she was quickly submitted to the ground and the tape returned to it previous place.

"You have two weeks to arrive in time. IF, you can make it."

The video finished, Denahi was shaking and sharp breathing. His hands became fists as he closed his eyes to try to calm down.

"I'm gonna kill that son of a bitch"

Denahi stood up determined to get back his family, he grabbed a spear and walked to the exit of his tent. But then Sitka blocked his path.

"Denahi think about what you're about to do."

"Step aside Sitka, I'm not gonna tell you twice."

"He's right Denahi" Kenai "You're being too hasty; you need to calm down."

"You even heard Chayo, the one he wants is you." Koda

"SO LET HIM HAVE ME IF THAT MEANS TO SAVE MY FAMILY!"

"And how are you so sure that is not a trap?" Sitka "If you give yourself up to Keldysh you'll end up being captured and it will be worst. Because this time he's not gonna go against you, but against them."

Sitka's argument made him think, Denahi remembered what Keldysh did to him years ago. If that man had been able with him, he would be even more capable with his family, or worst.

Denahi started to feel useless, tears started to come out of his eyes, he grabbed a fist to his mouth to try to not cry.

Kenai couldn't do much but hug his brother to try to comfort him a little bit. Kenai understood Denahi perfectly and he could even imagine the pain, angst, rage and fear he should be passing through. Kenai was a husband and a father as well and thought: What if it had been Nita and the twins?

"Don't worry Denahi, we're gonna save them, I promise."

"I can't believe this is happening" Denahi sobbed in Kenai's shoulder "This is the third time I lose my wife and now I lost my daughters too."

"Well, they're also our sister and nieces. Don't forget about that."

"If Keldysh attacked the village with those mercenaries he wont be alone back there" Sitka "He would have the advantage in number and knows better that territory. The four of us wont stand a chance alone."

"Then who do we turn to?" said Denahi separating from Kenai "The only person that could help us is Chayo but she and the girls are in the hands of that maniac."

"That's not true at all."

The three turned to see Koda confused.

"There's someone back there who could help us."

The brothers were at Tanana's tent, outside were waiting Nita, Aarnaluk and Sedna. The three of them were worried about the decision their partners were about to make.

Aarnaluk was distraught for her husband fearing something went wrong and ended claiming his life.

Nita tried to explain the twins Kenai's situation being careful with details.

Sedna, for her part, also wanted to help. Since she met Koda they became inseparable, Koda had protected her for so many years and now she felt she had to protect him.

After what seemed hours, the brothers came out of Tanana's tent. But they weren't wearing their usual clothes, they had on a strange armor and instead of spears they had strange weapons. The only one who recognized the gear was Sedna.

When Bravo returned to their time they left weaponry, ammo and gears in case of an emergency.

Kenai and Koda, since they hadn't receive the same training as their older brothers, they had to do a ritual to pass the knowledge of Sitka and Denahi to them.

The boys were ready but aware of the possibility of never come back. Sitka, Kenai and Koda went to their partners to say goodbye.

"Please come back to me honey" said Aarnaluk hugging her husband with tears in her eyes.

"I'll do everything within my power to come back to you, to both of you" he said placing a hand on her tummy.

Kenai kissed Nita's lips to next put their heads together.

"Please be very careful and protect each other."

"We will my love, we will."

They kissed one last time and then Kenai kneeled in front of his sons.

"Boys, I'm gonna be absent for a while so I need you to take care of your mother."

"Dad, are you gonna save auntie Chayo, Meztli and Aleu?" Koda

"That's right champ, we're gonna bring them back."

"But...you're gonna come back too, right?" Bucky

Kenai had no answer to that question.

"I don't know buddy."

The twins then hugged their dad with tears in their eyes, Kenai was fighting his emotions as he held tight his kids.

Sedna went to Koda with a spear on hand.

"I'm coming with you."

"Sedna no, this mission is too dangerous"

"I wanna be there to protect you"

"Sedna listen to me, I've already seen what this people is capable to do. I don't want to put you in unnecessary danger."

The girl looked away, but Koda gently made her look at his eyes.

"I'll be back, I promise."

Sedna threw herself at Koda as both of them hugged for a long time.

Denahi was contemplating Chayo's amulet before placing it around his neck. He then packed Aleu's new dress as well as Meztli's knife that he gave her when she turned eight. Denahi also took a picture of his family (between Chayo's remaining belongings was a camera too).On that moment he remembered the promise he made to his daughter:

Meztli woke up in the middle of the night screaming her father's name. Denahi came out of bed to see Meztli crying and panting. Seemed like she had a nightmare.

"Meztli, are you okay?" he asked as he sat beside her.

The kid didn't think twice and launched herself to her father as she cried. Denahi seeing this, hugged his daughter as he tried to calm her down.

"Hey, it's okay, it's okay, tell me what your dream was about?"

"I dreamed...I was in the forest, there was a monster about to attacking me, you were behind the monster but, you left me and, and..."

"Shh, it's alright my love"

"You'll never abandon us...right?"

"Not even if my life depends on it"

"You promise?"

"I promise"

Denahi raised his hand to join it with Meztli's, but the little girl did a different sign. Before joining her hand she flexed her middle and ring finger.

"Mommy taught me that...this means I love you in sign language"

Denahi smiled and did the same sign.

"Hold on girls, I'm coming"

He then kept the picture on one of his pockets and went to join his brothers with Tanana.

"We're ready" said Sitka.

"Very well" Tanana "Now I need two objects for the When and Where"

Denahi gave her his wife's plates as Koda gave her Sonny's favorite cap. The first object would open the When as the other the Where.

Tanana started to say a spell that created a portal to the assigned era.

"Here we go" Kenai

Before crossing, Sitka, Kenai and Koda looked back to see one last time their families. On that moment Jet got by Denahi's side and barked like saying he was ready. Denahi smiled at him and started to pet him.

"I'm sorry buddy, not this time."

Jet whined sadly as Denahi got on his feet.

The brothers then looked at each other with determination...
