Duke hummed and then paused to try and think of it all before another explosion was heard. The tower shook and he was surprised it did not collapse.
Zero wanted technology and to him? Getting the tech was probably just as possible for now.
Duke relaxed as more explosions rocked the tower and he cursed to himself. He looked up at the jet which hovered over them, a pair of orbs dropping from it.
Duke hummed and then thought of it all for now… Zero was attempting to deal a blow they could not easily distract themselves from.
To be fair? There were a lot of things that Zero dealt with for now.
He was still making mistakes when it came to stratagem at the time being. Duke began to guess what he would do later.
"Zero wants the technology… First, we need to end up taking away his wings…" Duke stated before the orbs impacted the ground.
Duke watched as both orbs transformed into mecha mutts, both slowly advancing on the group as he sighed.
"First, we take down the robots… Then we end up distracting him." Duke stated as he sighed to himself once more.
The robots charged and Duke decided if the two robots wanted to attack him. He would fight them both and take them both down.
Duke slammed into both robots, tackling one down the stairs as he cursed once more.
Skye looked at the other one as she realized the robots were between her and Ryder…. But are these problems to deal with for now? Skye had no time and she did not pretend she did at all.
Skye turned to Rocky, nodded, and then slammed into the other robot, flying upwards and into the jet which knocked it off course. Skye watched as the massive gunship-like craft turned and started to fire at her.
Skye was forced to dodge as the gunship went after her, lasers flying at her like droplets of rain.
"Skye, what are you doing!?" Duke asked, his tone full of fear.
They had a lot more to deal with for now… And it was a lot more than Skye was used to. She felt every beam of heat as they passed by her, reminding her that he wanted to kill her.
Zero of all people would want her dead… That much was true according to Duke… If so? Then she was in danger. A LOT of danger.
But she did not let her be denied, she did not allow it to cause the issues she had to understand.
Duke was in danger and so was she. Both were in danger of being hurt and BOTH would continue to relax… Both would not have helped.
To be fair? She would not give up; she had no intention of even slightly doing so… The idea of that was slim to nothing and she would not let it.
To be fair? There was a MOMENT of silence where both were quiet. It was clear to Skye that Duke was not kidding at all when it came down to it and that Zero WOULD end up almost killing them if they had to.
Perhaps it was this that drove Skye to fly faster, to circle the city as Zero chased. He wanted her dead and it was dead he would make her.
(With Duke and the others)
Duke almost winced at the lasers. He did not know what Skye could do but even once singe from the lasers was too much for him…. It would remain too much and that was not something he wanted to try and think of now at the end.
Duke almost wanted to climb upwards and into the wreckage and then fire a single blast, tossing the jet down and into the ground.
He could not… He could do nothing and that made him almost want to scream.
There was nothing else he had left to deal with for now… Now? They had something resembling chaos, a hope shared with the rest of the world.
To be fair? It was not as if he could do much, to climb up there. It would change nothing… Not so long as he could fight.
Duke and the others watched as Skye slammed into the jet which forced it to flee for the moment, Duke frowned before looking at the tower.
There was even more destruction, more broken glass… More shattered debris all over the ground, Duke could tell nothing of this without guessing that they were all in trouble.
Which they were and would be. Each little nugget of information on Zero reminded him of all people that Zero was a VERY dangerous warrior and it was clear something would need to break now, very curious, and odd.
To be fair? These were interesting at the time as he cracked his fingers and then cracked a smile.
They had a LOT more to deal with for now… Now? They were all just worried about their friend.
Something about it all had been too interesting for now… There was a lot more to try and it was curious as to now.
Chase looked over at Duke as he tapped his paw on the ground and it was something to happen now… They had a lot more to deal with.
"Zero…." Duke stated before he shook his head. "He just declared war, just like I told you," Duke stated before he frowned, withdrawn into his mind.
Skye slowly floated down. Duke rubbed at his temples, looking at the jet as they withdrew into the city.
If he knew that his friend was loose? He was all too familiar with the tactics he would take and he would be easily relaxed now.
They had a lot more to deal with for now. Duke? Duke was curious as to how it would occur. If he was present? He was too dangerous to ignore.
Duke looked up at the burning remnants of the tower and he cursed. He cursed to himself and then thought of it all.
If there was anything which worried him? It was the fact they had just been easier to deal with for now.
"That was Zero?" Chase asked as Duke nodded. "He tried to blow us all up! And has robot dogs!" Chase yelled as Duke hummed.
"Part of being a former soldier…. He will be back, I told you he is dangerous, and if he comes back? He is going to mean business." Duke said, slowly moving towards the jeep.
The others shared looks. It was VERY clear that Duke did not want to talk about Zero but Chase knew there was information he could not tell them even if he wished to, it was part of being a piece of something bigger.
"We should go and get what is left… Skye? Why don't you, Duke, Marshal, and Everest stay here?" Ryder asked, frowning as he looked over at the wreckage.
Ryder was silent as it became clear that they had PLENTY left to deal with. Now? Now it would have been hard to manage, hard to simply ignore it all now.
Now? Something which would have been harder and harder to think of what was going on.
Duke climbed into his jeep and began to slowly put things into the trunk as he began to pack up the equipment he had managed to take.
To be fair? There was something else to deal with for now…. Now? It was curious as to the way things ended.
Skye watched as the others entered the building. She, Marshal, and Everest slowly approached Duke as he finished the packing.
"So, Zero DOES want power," Everest stated to which Zero hummed.
"All he ever wants; all he would ever want…. That is his objective." Everest heard from Duke as he frowned. "He's a problem, he will always be like that," Duke stated before he sighed to himself.
They had plenty of time to relax… SOMETHING within Duke wanted to scream, to relax.
Duke was tired and relaxed; he was all too interested at the time being. Now? Now he would almost fall apart if he was asked to do ANYTHING resembling chaos, anything he would not have been.
Duke hummed and he was tired, he wanted to rest and make sure the others were aware of how dangerous his friend was.
To be fair? There was PLENTY left to deal with and plenty he could not for the life of him just shake off when it came down to it. Now? Now they were engaged through the rest of the way forward, nothing would have changed that and nothing would have stopped them short of chaos.
Zero had to be stopped but he had zero clue as to how to do that for now and for good reason.
He almost panicked, he almost knew what was going on… Now? Now it would have become much harder and harder at the end of the day… Something that it could not have been… Something they would NOT have occurred.
Skye seemed to be tired as he thought of it all while he seemed to be dealing with it for now.
She thought of Duke who looked at her, pulling the army-style helmet from his head as he paused, thinking of it.
To be honest? There was NOTHING else to do besides return home, return to relax… Now? Now he held NOTHING else on his mind besides stopping.
Something about it all now was bothering her… She was exhausted, every second was going to bother them for now… It was a lot more to deal with for now.
Duke was silent, his lips pursed into a frown as he thought of it all… Now? Now he was curious as to it all. He was all too much for now, it was dealt with for now.
Duke rubbed at his temples; the exhaustion of the warrior was too much for even him… He had no desire to deal with Zero yet.
"Should we take the equipment we have back to the carrier? We can come back with more room for other materials and then end up staying here." Duke stated, exhausted for now.
Now? Now he had PLENTY of times when it was all said and done. He looked to her for instruction, for orders, he needed orders and instruction to move forward.
Now? Now he had PLENTY left on his mind, something which would have been done now… At the time? Duke was scared to believe HOW Zero would strike at them, he was scared HOW it would have been done.
'If he is here? Zero wants us? He will strike at us… If he will strike at us? We will not be ready for then… We will not ever be ready for Zero now… And it bothers me MAJORLY how little we are not ready for now.' Duke thought as he tapped on the dashboard, curious as to how it would have occurred.
Duke knew better, far more than beyond now than to question what Zero would do and his goals.
Now? Now if anything? He had PLENTY of fear towards his former friend and a fair bit of venom when it came down to it… A fair bit of dislike was common and he of all soldiers was pushed to the limits… Limits he had yet to deal with for now.
Something within her mind told her that nothing was off-limits. Nothing would have been easily dealt it for now and for a good reason, something which was required to be dealt with.
Something about Duke tired him now as he wished to think of what was going on.
Skye seemed to be dealt with for now… He was all too much to deal with.
Skye hummed as if considering what was occurring. She was tired, she wanted to go home… But she also did not wish to relax, she did not want anything else to come on for now.
He had plenty left to deal with for now.
The drive back home would be… Uneventful.
