As excited as Alicia and Ricardo try to make the gifts seem as they open them and show them off to the babies, the big winner this holiday is clearly the Christmas tree. Andre keeps crawling under it whenever a box is shifted out from under it, giving him more room to spread out, laying on his back and staring up at the bright flashing lights and what of the ornaments he can see from this angle. Likewise, the twins keep twisting around to look at it too as well as they can, barely focusing on anything else whenever they're in the same room as it.

Alicia laughs quietly as she wipes a fresh smear of applesauce off of Clara's cheek, nosing at her. "Silly girl," she teases. "You already love the holidays, don't you? Wait until you and your sister are older and can properly enjoy the presents Daddy and I buy for you. You're going to take such advantage of us."

Clara coos, then squirms around when Alicia lifts her up and tucks her against her shoulder, blocking the tree from view until the baby starts to whine.

"Ok, ok," Alicia laughs, easing her back down. "Here you go." She glances over at Ricardo. "Might as well let them enjoy it while it's still up, huh?"

"Yeah," he laughs, holding Mariana in a way that she can see the tree easily. "It keeps them happy, at any rate. That's good enough for me."

"You have a point," Alicia murmurs, leaning in to kiss him. "Who knew all three of our kids would love something as simple as Christmas lights?"

Ricardo smiles at her. "Our kids? liking flashy, glitzy things? Who would've imagined?"

She giggles and leans against his shoulder while they watch Andre under the tree, enamored, and the twins in their laps, equally unable to look away from the multicolored lights across from them.
