Jason Jordan relaxes against the doorway, watching on in disbelief at what's become of his kitchen. Akira Tozawa is kneeling down by the cupboards, laughing at his daughter as she toddles around, body dwarfed by a large Alpha Academy t-shirt, clapping her hands every time one of the others greets her. Chad is across the room, frowning as Maxxine shows him what looks like new training ideas, determined to prove herself both in and outside of the ring.

Meanwhile, the counter is becoming an absolute mess as Otis goes to town on one of the largest hams Jason thinks he's ever seen, slicing it enthusiastically, yelling "OOOOH YEAH" every time he succeeds at getting the thickness he desires.

"I've seen some disturbing things in my day," Kurt says, startling Jason. "But this may outdo all of it."

Jason chuckles and drapes an arm around his father's shoulders, pulling him forward so they're standing side by side. "Tell me about it," he says, wondering once more why Chad felt the need to invite all of them to their family Christmas meal. "You don't mind, do you, dad?"

Kurt shrugs. "It's your and Chad's house, son. I'm just along for the ride." He eyes Otis dubiously. "I just hope we don't need 911 by the end of it."

Jason laughs woefully. "Me too," he sighs, shaking his head. He lights up a bit when Chad finally excuses himself from Maxxine and heads over to join them. "Hey, do you think Otis needs some help over there?"

"Ah, no," Chad says, glancing over at him. "He's my #1 guy for a reason, he'll be alright. Besides if we interrupt him now, we're liable to lose a finger. So nah, best to let him carry on until he's done. It won't take much longer."

Jason hums. "Alright," he says. "If you say so."

"We'll be eating in no time, right, Otis?" Chad yells at.

"OOOOH YEAH," Otis declares loudly. "Just about got it!" One more slice, two, three and then four, and it's over, the last of the ham rind dropping into Otis' hand. "Lookit that beautiful ham," he all but coos, eyes squinting happily as he beams down at the pile of meat on the plate he's had haphazardly catching it all.

"Perfect job, Otis!" Gable calls out, clapping his hands loudly. "Ok, everyone, time to eat!"

While everyone files in to get to their plates to serve themselves, all Jason can do is look at his dad and shrug, laughter bubbling out as he moves to join his significant other by the table. "Merry Christmas," he says quietly, and Chad looks up at him with a bright, adoring smile.

"Merry Christmas," he responds, tugging Jason closer and kissing him.
