(Abigail's POV)
*It's been a few days since Sally, Lacey, Big, & Nicole returned from visiting Dr. Ellidy. Today, Sonic, Antoine, Huck & I were in Apotos, fighting off a Badnik hord. With our combined spin attacks, we freed all the mobinis trapped in the Badniks*
Note: Abigail's spin attack is the same as Link's from Legend of Zelda, accept with two swords*
Sonic: And that's how it's done!
Chip: Wow! You guys are so cool!
Abigail: Oh, it was no big deal.
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao.
Antoine: Zere are quite ze many Badniks for such ze quaint town, non?
Sonic: Yeah, and I tangled with a few before I ran into Silver.
Antoine: When was zat?
Sonic: Right after we wrapped up that other mission. I try to keep busy.
Abigail: Oh. Was that when you went on that pre-mission jog here and found Eggman attacking it with his Egg-Swats. But then some weird portal opened up & the Ifrit came out. But then you ran into Silver & you both worked together to send it back to it's home dimension?
Sonic: Bingo!
Antoine: If Eggman is showing such interest in ze area, perhaps zis Gregorios fellow really does have an important secret?
Sonic: Won't hurt to check. We're doing okay for finding the Chaos Emerald.
Abigail: Yeah, but we're falling behind on finding the Gaia Temples.
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao.
Sonic: True.
Chip: You guys had already done so much! But what have I done? According to Tikal, I'm supposed to be the Light Gaia! But I don't remember, and I've not done much at all to help. I'm failing the people of this world . . .
*Sonic poked him in the nose*
Sonic: Hey. You do want to save everyone, right?
Chip: R - Right!
Sonic: And you're going to do everything to help us, right?
Chip: O - Of course!
Sonic: Then don't waste your time worrying about doing enough and just do it! You're here with us now, and that's what counts.
Abigail: Sonic's right. You may not realize it now, but you're helping us in a big way. My Mom me once that even the smallest person can make a big difference.
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!
*Chip smiled & then flew up with a look of determination*
Chip: You're right! As "Chip" or the "Light Gaia," I promise to give my all to save the world! *suddenly, he smelled something yummy* Right after I have one of these! *he flew towards a fat man that was serving ice cream sundaes* OHMYGOSH!
*Sonic smirked, Antoine rolled his eyes, & I giggled as I went over to get pay for it, and get one for me & Huck*
(Lacey's POV)
*Me, Bunnie, Rotor, Cream, Cheese, & Amy were sitting at the table in the Sky Patrol briefing room, listening to Knuckles tell us his own situation*
Knuckles: . . . So I had to shatter the Master Emerald. Again. And it's shards rained down on the messed-up planet. Julie-Su and I we were hunting down one of the shards when we ended up getting roped into the fighting tournament.
Amy: Yeah, and then you knocked me out of the ring . . .
Cream: Now, now, Miss Amy, don't be a sore loser.
Bunnie: What about yer island? Without the Master Emerald's power it'll just fall. And with the planet like it is . . .
Julie-Su: No, it's still floating, just like all the continents. I guess one good thing had to come of all this.
Cream: But that means if we fix the planet, the island will fall!
Rotor: But it's not like we can postpone saving everyone . . .
Lacey: True. But we can't just forget about it either.
Amy: Hold on! How have you been tracking down the shards?
Knuckles: Uh . . . Same as I always do? With my innate ability to track their power.
Julie-Su: It's worked in the past.
Amy: Yeah, but how much range do you get on that?
Knuckles: I dunno, a few miles? Beyond that, it's guess work.
Amy: I thought so! I think I've got a better idea! *she activated her Mystic Melody ability* When we were in Meropis, the local Priestess taught me a technique called the "Mystic Melody." I've been using it to help us narrow the search for the Gaia Temples, but maybe it can help us find the Master Emerald shards, too!
Cream: Ooh, yay! It sounds so pretty!
*Amy played the song*

Amy: Yeah . . . Yeah! I see it! There's one in Apotos!
Knuckles: Really? Then if I get to the surface, I should be able to track it from there!
Amy: This is perfect! I can find them from a distance -
Julie-Su: - And Knuckles can find them at short-range!
Rotor: That's great and all, but remember fixing the whole planet? Amy's our best chance at finding the Gaia Temples. I mean, you guys were gone with Sonic, Antoine, and Abby on a scouting mission, and the Sky Patrol almost got overrun! We can't divide ourselves up, or go flying everywhere while the world suffers!
Bunnie: Angel Island is part of our world, Rote.
Lacey: She's right. We can't just ignore it.
Cream: Mister Knuckles and Miss Julie-Su brought us a Chaos Emerald and helped us win another! It's only fair that we help them!
Rotor: Hey, hey, hey! I'm not saying we don't help Knuckles and Julie-Su! We can try to think of something. But we've got to prioritize the entire world, not just a piece of it and to do that . . . We've got to find the Gaia Temples.
(Abigail's POV)
*We arrived at the local temple & a tall, elderly man with beach skin, gray hair, a long gray beard, brown eyes & wearing a black fez, round glasses, & a black & blue robe greeted us at the door*
Gregorios: I'm sorry, my friends, but there are no services scheduled for tonight.
Sonic: Yo, gramps. I'm Sonic the Hedgehog. You sent for me. And since I'm awesome, I even brought the Light Gaia with me!
*He motioned it Chip, who had just finished his sundae*
Chip: Oops! Uh - Hello, sir!
Gregorios: You are truly the hero they say you are! My name is Gregorios. Please follow me.
*We entered the temple & he led us to a door hidden behind a tapestry. Then he gave us half of a key. We all looked around at the room we were in, in awe*
Antoine: Mon dieu . . .
Abigail: Amazing . . .
Huckleberry: Chao . . .
Gregorios: Gentlemen and Lady, this is the Gaia Gate. And it is the single most important place in the world. You see, while anyone may enter the Gaia Temples, their inner chambers are locked to all intruders . . .
Antoine: Ah! Zat is good! Eggman cannot use zem!
Gregorios: These chambers can only be opened with the Sun and Moon Keys. In turn, these keys have been entrusted to select families, and they keep their duty a secret.
Antoine: Aw . . . Zat is bad. Now we search for ze keys and ze temples!?
Gregorios: Through the magic of the Gaia Gate, however, you can access the central chambers of the seven Gaia Temples from this spot.
Antoine: Ah! Zat is good! We -
Sonic & Abigail: Knock it off, 'Team!
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!
Chip: Awesome! We can bring all the keys back here and fix the world all in one go!
Antoine: And we will not be having to worry about ze Dark Egg Legion sneaking in after we access a temple!
Sonic: Zut alors! Zat is so bon! What else can I be stating the obvious on!?
*Huck & I giggled at that & Antoine glared at Sonic, who grinned*
Gregorios: You must gather the keys as quickly as possible! Since the doctor sent Metal Sonic after me, he must be looking for the temple. It won't take long for him to learn that he needs the keys as well.
Abigail: We're glad you weren't hurt. What happened with Metal Sonic?
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao?
Gregorios: I didn't tell him anything. I don't believe he knows about the Gaia Gate. Yet. Until now, I was the only soul who knew of the Gaia Gate and the identities of all the Key Holders. Doctor Eggman's actions have forced me to break my vow of secrecy. I've written down the names and locations of the Key Holders.
*He handed Chip a tiny scroll*
Sonic: You can trust us, Greg.
Abigail: We won't tell a soul until the time is right.
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao.
*We left the temple & waved Gregorios goodbye*
Chip: I'm so excited! Maybe finding the keys will help me regain my memories, too!
Sonic: Yeah, and - *suddenly, he turned into his Werehog form* AND I CAN FINALLY STOP TURNING INTI THIS EVERY NIGHT.
Antoine: Hoo! Zat will be relieving! It gives me ze fright every time. And zero terrible musky smell, zut alors!
*Just then, we heard monster growls & screams*
Sonic: I'LL BE GLAD WHEN WE'RE DONE WITH NIGHTLY MONSTER ATTACKS, TOO!
Antoine: Oui! Zat very much as well!
Abigail: Yeah, let's do it to it!
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!
Sonic: HEY, THAT'S MY LINE!
*We followed the sound until we found a hord of monsters attacking some of the people*
Citizen #1: Run!
Citizen #2: Not again!
Citizen #3: Help!
*We arrived on the scene & destroyed the monsters*
Sonic:*to Antoine* THE MONSTERS AREN'T TOO SPOOKY FOR YOU?
Antoine: Oh, I am quite terrified. But I can, "how you say, deal with it."
Abigail: That's great, Antoine. I'm sure Bunnie will be proud of you.
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao.
*Antoine blushed*
Antoine: Oh, you zink so?
*Suddenly, we all heard a loud "Thoom!" Then a giant monster, holding a wooden club, came crashing through a building*
Sonic: UH . . . CAN YOU DEAL WITH THAT?
Antoine: Oui. But I am really wishing I did not have to!
Abigail: I think we're going to need some help for this one.
Huckleberry: Chao . . .
*Sonic nodded & turned to Chip, who was working the Miles Electric*
Sonic: CHIP! CALL ROTOR! WE NEED BACK-UP!
Chip: C'mon! Pick up! Pick up! Pick - ! Rotor! We need help down here!
*We all dodged an attack from the monster"
Sonic: ANTOINE! YOU, HUCK, AND ABBY KEEP THE SMALLER MONSTERS OFF MY BACK! I'LL TAKE CARE OF "TINY"!
Antoine: Understood!
Abigail: You got it!
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!
*While we fought the little monsters, Sonic started taking care of the big one. Just then, Lacey, Knuckles, Julie-Su, Bunnie, & Amy came flying in & attacked the monster*
Lacey: Somebody call for back-up!?
Bunnie: Havin' fun, Sugar-Hog? Sally called and says her team is fine by the way!
Knuckles: Great . . . Another one of these . . .
Sonic: FRIEND OF YOURS?
Julie-Su: We and the Chaotic had to fight one to get the red Chaos Emerald.
Sonic: HOW'D YOU GUYS BEAT IT?
Knuckles: Uh . . . Tricked Bean into bombing the crud out of it, and then I punched it lots . . .?
*Sonic started pounding his chest like he was King Kong*
Sonic: "PUNCH IT LOTS" IT IS!
Knuckles: I like this version of you.
*The two of them jumped on the monster & started punching it hard. Just then, something green stuck out of it*
Sonic: HEY! ISN'T THAT ONE OF YOUR MISSING SHARDS?
Knuckles: I thought it felt awfully close!
*Sonic grabbed the shard*
Sonic: DRIVE IT BACK! I'LL PULL THE SHARD FREE!
Knuckles: With pleasure!
*Knuckles punched it & Sonic used his new strength & stretchy arms to pull on the shard. Me, Julie-Su, Bunnie, & Amy all joined in to help. Suddenly, Antoine jumped on to Sonic's arms & ran up them*
Antoine: Je doise etre fou . . .
*He stabbed his sword into the spot where the shard was & pried the shard out. Then he went flying into the air. Bunnie caught him & Sonic caught the shard*
Bunnie: That's mah man!
Antoine: Heh! Let us be saving ze world so I am never having to do zat again.
*Despite all the beatings the monster had taken, it was still standing. Knuckles, Julie-Su, & Amy all attacked together & the monster was destroyed*
Amy: Nice work. This almost makes up for the tournament.
Knuckles: The round started! I thought you were ready! Stop making me the bad guy!
Julie-Su: I don't think she's ever going to let him forget that, is she?
Abigail: Probably not.
Lacey: Nope.
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao.
*Sonic gave the shard to Knuckles*
Sonic: Here we go, Knuckles. I heard you are 'Su were collecting these.
Knuckles: Thanks! One more down . . .
Julie-Su: A bunch more to go.
*Bunnie came up, still holding Antoine*
Antoine: Can you be putting me down now? Ze others . . . Zey are starting to look!
Bunnie: Aww . . . But yer cute like this.
*Chip brought over the Miles Electric. Cream & Rotor we're on the screen*
Rotor: What's going on? Do I need to come down?
Cream: Or me and Cheese? We can help!
*Sonic pulled us all in for a group hug & gave a thumbs up*
Sonic: WE'RE ALL GOOD DOWN HERE! I THINK THAT'S ALL THE MONSTERS FOR TONIGHT.
Chip: And - And - And we got a list of all the people we need to talk to do we use a super handy magic shortcut to all the Gaia Temples!
Amy: Wait, does that mean we know where all the temples are now?
Sonic: WE DON'T NEED TO KNOW. ALL WE NEED TO DO IS BRING A BUNCH OF KEYS HERE AND WE CAN GET TO THEM FROM ONE SPOT.
Amy: Then we don't need to divide our attention, Knuckles, 'Su! I can go with you! We can find the shards, and maybe save Angel Island before the world is repaired!
Julie-Su: Awesome!
Knuckles: Best news I've heard all day!
Sonic: HOLD ON . . . YOU'RE LEAVING US?
Amy: Just until we find all the shards and restore Angel Island. Don't worry. I'll keep Knuckles and Julie-Su safe.
Knuckles: Wassamatter, Shaggy? Jealous?
Sonic: DO NOT EVEN START WITH ME, KNUCKLE-HEAD.
*Just then, we got another call from Rotor on the Miles Electric*
Rotor: Guys! We just got a message from Rouge. G.U.N. found Chaos Emerald in the Crystal Desert!
Abigail: Awesome! Tell her we're on our way!
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!
