The Situation Is Not Equal

Several months later, Jun Kazama's home, Yakushima Island…

Urenna started undergoing solo missions on behalf of the United Nations Secret Intelligence Agency after her master Hide (codename Crow) was injured during his attempted arrest on the now deceased Bogdan Dragunov. She had a bit of a break after returning from Hong Kong on a bodyguard job. Her friend, Jun Kazama, invited her to Yakushima Island. She had a surprise for her. So, Urenna stopped by Jun's home to see what the surprise would be.

Knock, knock, knock…

Door opens…

Jun: "Oh you came Urenna! Please come in!"

Urenna (Stepping in.): "Arigato. Uhhh…what did you have to show me?"

Jun (Laughing after closing the door.): "Just follow me."

Urenna does so and it didn't take long for Urenna to see exactly what Jun wanted her to see. The result in the corner room of the log cabin was quite the shock for the kunoichi. Once Urenna's eyes gazed at the daylight shining on a baby boy sleeping quietly inside his crib, she was in deep shock. So much so her body froze.

Jun: "Do you know who that is?"

Urenna: "Jun? Eh…you mean to…tell me…that baby in the crib…is?"

Jun: "Yes…he is my son."

Urenna (Mouth drop): "Jun…you became a mother?"

Jun: "Come back in the living room and I will explain everything. I just put Jin to sleep, and I don't want to wake him up."

In Jun's Living Room…

Urenna: "That's impossible! Jun how could you? Why be with a man who had the potential to crush the entire world with his ability? Perhaps I misjudged you. Kazuya Mishima is the boy's father?"

Jun: "Yes. I know it looks crazy Urenna, but I can assure you that this wasn't planned or anything. Honest! It just happened because I knew deep down, Kazuya was not the man the world thought he was. He always knew that the things he had to do was not out of his own free will, but the will of the curse inside him. When I sensed those inner feelings from him for the first time, I knew that it was up to me to have him open his heart. My only regret was that those feelings of remorse and honesty cost him his life against Heihachi in their final fight. And…I was not strong enough to stop Heihachi from fighting Kazuya." (Sobbing.)

Urenna (Remembering): "That's right. Master and I watched Jun's fight against Heihachi. Perhaps if Jun did win that match, then there was a chance that Kazuya and Jun would not fight each other in the finals of the King of Iron Fist Tournament. I still have my doubts about Kazuya's true nature, but if what Jun said is true, then perhaps the world would have been better off with him changing."

Jun (Wiping her tears.): "Forgive me. Urenna. I didn't want to cry."

Urenna: "It's alright. I mean it. I'm still trying to process this."

Jun: "Thank you."

Urenna: "As long as Heihachi doesn't know about the child, then perhaps the boy will be in good hands with you. I have no right to judge how his life is going to be because of his parent's actions."

Jun (Wiping her face.): "I…I thank you again Urenna. Its just…I don't have anyone to really confide in to trust me with Jin. Not even my own family. They are too afraid to be involved with me now that they know about him."

Urenna: "He has everything he needs through you. That much I can tell. Its just like me with my Master. He and Omani were my family back when I lost my real family."

Jun: "I see. They are fortunate to have you."

Urenna (Nodding her head with a smile.): "I think so too."

Back at the Shika Clan Campground, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan…

Urenna: "Master, I have returned."

Hide (Still in meditation at the temple.): "Urenna. How did the mission go."

Urenna: "It went well as expected. The triads will have to lay low again thanks to my intervention to save the mayor from getting killed."

Hide: "I see. Normally I would grade your performance, but as it stands now, I am still immobilized to fight due to my rehabilitation process."

Urenna: "You heal fast Master, even at your age."

Hide: "My performance after I am fully healed with determine my effectiveness at my job. Now…onto more pressing matters."

Urenna: "Pressing matters?"

Hide: "Yes. It appears that a new company is quickly emerging amongst the major conglomerates. If unchecked, they could rise to be as powerful as the Zaibatsu. A friend of mine told me that this company might have the remains of the body of Kazuya Mishima. The United Nations is worried that this company may use the corpse to do some experiments similar to what Heihachi was trying to accomplish. The headquarters is rumored to be in Taiwan, but you should head over to South Africa and check their biolabs there. In Pretoria to be exact."

Urenna: "South Africa? What is the name of this corporation?"

Hide: "It is called "G Corporation"."

Urenna: "G Corporation?"

Hide: "Yes go there and investigate its labs. Find out the brains behind their projects."

Urenna: "Understood master. I will."

Back outside at the temple as Urenna leaves her master, Santi approaches…

Santi: "Urenna!"

Urenna: "Hey. What's the matter Santi?"

Santi: "You leaving already? You just got here?"

Urenna: "Not right this minute. I still need to eat. But I will have to leave soon."

Santi: "Where to?"

Urenna: "Its classified for kids. Sorry."

Santi: "What? Oh, come on!"

Urenna: "Besides, don't you have studies to catch up on?"

Santi: "Yeah, but I need a break."

Urenna: "It can't be helped. You will get another chance to travel and do spy missions soon enough. The trouble of your efforts will pay off in time. Believe in it."

Santi (Mopey.): "Dawww…alright."

Later in the afternoon…

Urenna was inside the cockpit of Hide's hovercraft. Before she took off, she was reflecting on the talk she had with Omani around lunchtime. Omani was simply looking out for her since it was her second solo mission since Hide was out of action.

Omani: "Maybe I might out of my league now that you have replaced Hide in these missions for the UN, but Urenna, do be careful out there. We can't afford to have another ninja in our clan to get injured."

Urenna: "Yes of course. This is the second mission for me since master has been out of action. No one has been able to stop me from my task."

Omani: "Right. Except this time, it could be more dangerous. If it involves a Mishima. I hope the rumors are not true."

Urenna: "Yeah, I wonder why that company would have Kazuya's corpse?"

Omani: "It can't be good, whatever they are planning. Just be sure to escape if the security is too much for you. You are the future of the clan after all."

Urenna: "Understood. I won't take any unnecessary battles."

Omani: "Alright. Well…let's eat and I will let you pack up."

Back in the hovercraft…

Urenna: "Right. I will complete my task. Let's do it."

The next day, on the outskirts of Pretoria, South Africa…

Urenna (talking with her CO): "This is Raven reporting. I have just arrived near Pretoria. I am in the mountain range overlooking the city. Can you pinpoint to me the exact location of the laboratories owned by G Corporation?"

CO: "Not a problem. You will need to make your way towards downtown area 127 North Highway 4. It is a well-guarded nine story building close to the Tshwane Market. We still don't know where exactly they have the remains of Kazuya. If its there at all. At the very least, try and find out whoever is in charge of the place."

Urenna: "Understood. I will do only that. Commencing operating at nightfall."

CO: "Good luck out there."

Urenna: "Of course. Raven out."

Hanging up…

Urenna: "Time to get going."

Arriving at the alleged G Corp laboratory facility near downtown Pretoria, nightfall…

Urenna got up from her meditative position after relaxing above a hotel rooftop. From there, she descended through the streets until she found a vantage point to scope out the G Corp building right across from the city market. The high walls were very high up, and there were cameras surrounding the entire perimeter. Urenna could wait for a truck to enter the side gate and infiltrate the facility from there. But how long would that be? The only other option would be a disguise of sorts. In which, Urenna did make some preparation for.

Urenna: "Let's see if I can get in as a scientist. I can dress like one of the employees I have researched and bribe my way in."

At the security front gate…

Security guard: "Hold it. May I ask who you are?"

Urenna: "Yes. I am a new hire, and I am back because I lost my badge inside my office. My supervisor is Doctor Charles Fischer."

Security guard: "Charles Fischer. Hmmm…he is out of town as of yesterday. What is your name?"

Urenna: "Palesa Myers."

Security checks the computer…yes, I see your information. Alright do you remember the passcode for checking into work?"

Urenna: "Yes…179256."

Security guard (Types.): "Ok all clear. Have a good evening Ms. Myers."

Urenna: "Same to you, thanks."

The front gate opens…

Urenna was able to get right inside the complex without trouble. The preparation for the disguise paid off. The next step was to find out the top person in charge of this place. Since she mentioned Charles Fischer, Urenna would ask another employee where to locate his office. She quickly found the lobby table where the receptionist was sitting.

Urenna: "Excuse me? Which floor is Dr. Fischer's office located?"

Receptionist: "His office is on the fifth floor, but no one is allowed in."

Urenna: "Oh no worries. I just needed to know once he comes back. I'm here to pick up my lost badge."

Receptionist: "Oh I see. Well take care."

Urenna: "Yes, you too."

Urenna proceeded to the elevators which was a short walk from the lobby desk. Taking the elevator to the fifth floor, Urenna left out of it and began to search for the office. Urenna pretended to enter the office of the woman she was impersonating, but she did not unlock the door. Instead, she continued around the hallway until she finally found Dr. Fischer's office. Using a lockpick, Urenna managed to unlock the office door to get inside.

Urenna: "Hmmm…he has a lot of books, and I don't know his password for his computer. This could take some time to gather information."

As Urenna started to look around for clues, she stumbled upon a folder which contained weekly reports. In this folder it talked in detail about the revival of Kazuya Mishima, and to be more specific, extracting the Devil Gene out from his flesh. As long as Kazuya was dead, the Devil Gene would remain dormant. If he were to be revived, then the Devil Gene can replenish itself according to the research. The main director for this project was by a man nicknamed Professor R.

Urenna: "Who the heck is Professor R? I keep seeing his name. Is he in charge?"

Digging into more folders, Urenna eventually found out his name…

Urenna: "So this is his name…. Dr. Angelo Romel. He's over 80 years old. His office is on the 9th floor. That's where I'll go."

The 9th floor of G Corporation's Lab Offices…

Still in disguise, Urenna made it to the ninth floor fairly easily. Although getting into Professor R's office proved to be more troublesome. His office was more secure than the other rooms in the building. It had a motion camera and a security keypad up front. Urenna never did find anything about a code inside. Now what should she do?

Suddenly…

A security officer came out of the elevator coming straight towards Urenna. She then wondered what to do. Attack him, question him, or play it cool? Then the officer spoke.

Security officer: "Excuse me. This office is only for employees close to Professor R only. I must ask you to leave."

Urenna: "Wait. Says who?"

Security officer: "The Professor himself. I never seen you before. You can only be here if know the passcode or if authorized to come by Professor R himself. Now come with me."

Urenna: "I'm sorry officer. Do forgive me. Hai ya!"

Urenna dashed in and committed the signature Shika Clan Crusader palm heel attack right into the solar flexus of the security officer. He immediately fell over due to the shock of pain entering his brain. Urenna carefully picked up the security officer and took him towards the office door of Professor R. The voiceover came on to ask for the identity of the guest.

Voiceover: "Welcome…please scan your eye or enter the passcode."

Urenna uses the security officer's eye to scan.

Voiceover: "Thank you. You may now enter."

Urenna: "Awesome, it worked!"

Urenna went inside the office of Professor R while leaving the unconscious security guard outside the door. It was more lavish compared to the last office she was in. However, the professor had many papers on the floor. So cleanliness and organization was not the doctor's strong suit despite the nice view of Pretoria's skyline.

Urenna: "I see this man doesn't like to tidy his place up. This is gonna take a while to find out where Kazuya's remains are."

Minute after minute passed. Urenna could barely find anything about the Devil Gene project. The professor was covering his tracks well. Finally, she found something about the project in the professor's desk. It was a series of folders with Kazuya's name on it. So, Urenna reads it.

Urenna (Reading): "The objective to revive Kazuya Mishima has been postponed until further notice here at the Pretoria G Corporation Laboratory. We have moved his remains at another disclosed location, due to spying by the Mishima Zaibatsu? I will proceed to make arrangements with US Senator Brett Thurston to address this matter for hiding Kazuya's remains. What? An American Senator is involved? I will be boarding a flight bound to Atlanta, Georgia on this date xx/xx/xxxx. But that's tomorrow!"

Suddenly…

The alarm system sounds off…

Urenna: "What? Have I been spotted?"

More officers from G Corp were alerted of an intruder in the building. They were all running up towards the ninth floor to get inside Professor R's office. Urenna needed to find a way out! She did not have much time to linger. However, she would take the document aobut the Kazuya project.

Urenna: "Alright! Here I go!"

Using a hidden shuriken inside her coat, Urenna threw it fast to shatter the glass window. Then making a dash Urenna leapt in the air to kick the glass window as it shattered into pieces! However, Urenna had to quickly recover or else she would fall nine stories to her death! Therefore, she performed this jutsu.

Urenna: "Ni-Jo-Ta-Sho!"

With the special chant, Urenna temporarily sped up her descent of the fall, but only for a second. This made the velocity of her fall change. She ended up falling down onto the back of a delivery truck, but the fall wasn't as forceful. Urenna got up after the fall break and jumped off the delivery truck to continue her escape. Suddenly, more security guards appeared out of the building and tried to shoot her down.

Gunshots fire…

Urenna used some of the vehicles for cover, but those men couldn't get her. She was just too fast. The front gate was sealed off, but that didn't matter either. Urenna threw away her doctor coat and from behind her back, she unsheathed her ninjato blade. With a deep breath, channeling her ki, Urenna made four diagonal slashes over the metal front gate. It was cut like a diamond. Urenna made it through before the security could attempt another round of shots at her. The kunoichi was out of sight within the shadows of the night.

In a safe space, near the city railroads…

Urenna: "Raven here. Do you copy?"

Commanding Officer (CO): "Yes, loud and clear Raven. What did you find?"

I retrieved some documents about the Kazuya Mishima project. However, Professor R was not in his office. I read that he is bound for a flight to Atlanta, Georgia to meet with American Senator Brett Thurston. They are trying to move Kazuya's remains to another disclosed location. I wasn't able to find out where exactly."

CO: "Impressive work Raven! With this tip we can send our agents to Atlanta and arrest both men. We believe Senator Thurston has been using taxpayer money to help fund Professor R's scientific research. It would definitely be a blow to G Corporation's military goals."

Urenna: "Do I need to track the professor down?"

CO: "That won't be necessary. Just send us the documents that you have back here to New York."

Urenna: "Understood. Raven out."

The decision to not allow Urenna to further pursue Professor R turned out to be a mistake by the UN. Professor R himself never actually traveled to the United States. He was made aware about the infiltration of his office that night. So, he devised a plan to use a special clone he and his team designed to favor his looks just in case there was a breach in his workspace. By the time authorities arrested Senator Thurston, they soon realized that they got a clone of him instead. It was an historic arrest, but a few months after that, Professor R was rumored to have died at his home in South Africa. The location of Kazuya's remains would not be mentioned again until the Zaibatsu quickly found about Kazuya being resurrection some years later.
