Episode 3: Tipping Point

A couple of months have passed since I reunited with my family. Things have been good for the most part. The one thing I am having trouble with is my husband, Scar. He still abuses me constantly. Tonight's beatings were the worst of them all.

"YOU'RE WORTHLESS LANA! CAN'T YOU DO ANYTHING RIGHT!?" Scar roared as he slapped me hard across the face. Tonight, I left without permission, so I was getting my ass whopped for it.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to! I-I promise I won't do it again!" I cried. Scar ignored me. Without a warning, he punched me in the face. The impact left me with a broken nose and a black eye. I covered my face, crying in pain. My nose was bleeding as well as my eye.

Scar grabbed me by the collar of my shirt, pulling me closer to him. "You're damn right you won't do it again. Do not let this happen again or the consequences will worsen, understand?" Scar said.

I nodded. "Yes, Scar," I said. Scar said nothing as he shoved me roughly. He stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him. I sighed; tears were still streaming down my face. I should go visit my friends and tell them what happened. Since I reunited with my family, I moved back to Pride Rock. Okay, time to use the book portal again.

Push to the right. Then to the left. And now open. Bright pink lights showed when I opened up the portal. I felt myself falling inside. When I got to my destination, I landed on my two feet with the portal closing behind me. My friends turned their attention towards me when they were aware of my arrival.

"Lana!" Emily cried. She noticed my beat-up face. Emily looked at me with concern. "Are you okay?"

I begin to bawl my eyes out, crying like a pathetic child would.

"Oh Lana, what happened?" Chloe asked me as she put her arm on my shoulder to comfort me. I gripped her arms tightly as I buried my face into her chest with my tears staning her shirt.

"I-It was Scar. H-He beat me up for leaving without permission! I...I didn't- I didn't-" I struggled to find the words. Chloe wrapped her arms around me.

"Hey don't worry. Everything's going to be okay. We will figure this out." Chloe said. I heard my family arriving behind me. I taught them how to use the book portal so they can come visit me in the Library of Legends whenever I have gatherings with my friends.

"Lana? Sweetie, are you okay?" Uru asked me.

"We heard what happened, so we wanted to check on you," Simba said.

"No. I'm not okay. Scar just beat the shit out of me." I said.

Mufasa slammed his paw angrily on the ground. "That bastard! How could he do this?!" Mufasa yelled. Sarabi put a paw on his shoulder.

"Come on. Let's go get you taken care of." April said. I held onto Chloe's hand tightly as we walked to the big room in the middle of the library. April set me down on a comfy couch.

"Okay, this is gonna hurt a bit but I need to put your nose back in place," April said. I winced when she placed her hands on my nose. Nala rubbed my shoulders with her paws to comfort me. April bent my nose, putting it back into place. I cried out in pain.

"Okay, now let's take a look at your eye," April said. Lily grabbed a first aid kit and handed it to April. April took it then she dabbed a wet cloth on my eye to stop the bleeding.

"So, what are you going to do about that husband of yours?" Kelsey asked me.

"I honestly don't know," I said.

"Come on Lana. You can't live like this forever." Ahadi said.

"I know Dad. I am just scared of what Scar will do." I said.

"Can't you get a divorce or something?" Lily asked.

"No. She can't. Scar threatened to kill her if she divorces him." Mufasa said, rubbing his temples. I can tell my brother is worried about me. Everyone is worried about me. I am stuck with an abusive husband with no way out. Unless... I can try to divorce him.

"Why did Scar force Lana to marry her anyway? What's the story behind it?" Emily asked.

Simba sighed. "When Scar took over the Pride Lands, he realized he needed a mate to be by his side. So he chose Lana to be his mate. When Lana refused, Scar was furious. He threatened to kill her if she did not marry him. Lana had no choice. Her life was on the line. She couldn't leave him because of the threat of death." Simba explained.

"Poor Lana. That's so sad." Lily said.

"Guys... I was thinking. I could maybe try to divorce Scar." I said.

"WHAT!?" Everyone yelled.

"Lana, are you crazy? You realize Scar could kill you if you tried, right?" Mufasa said, his tone serious.

"Yeah, I know. I have to at least try." I said.

"If that does not work then what do you do?" Emily asked me worriedly.

"I don't know," I said.

"We could try to run away," Nala suggested.

"Running away?" Kiara asked.

"Yes. Lana needs to get out of this relationship. If divorcing Scar does not work, then we will leave first thing tomorrow." Nala said.

"Okay then. It's settled. We will leave first thing tomorrow after we confront Scar." Simba said. I sighed; nervousness fluttered my whole body. I didn't want to divorce Scar because I fear what he would do to me, but I needed to try if I ever wanted to be free.

Tonight was the night I was going to try to divorce Scar. I am nervous but I have to do it for the sake of my freedom and well-being. I met my friends and family at Pride Rock where I would be confronting Scar.

"Are you ready?" Kelsey asked me.

"Not really. I'm scared." I said.

"Don't worry Lana it will be okay," Kovu said.

"We will be here right by your side," Nala said. Nala kissed me to comfort me. I sat on Nala's back as she carried me to Pride Rock. When we got to Pride Rock, we saw Scar lying down at his usual spot.

"Scar!" I yelled. Scar woke up when he heard his name.

"What do you want Lana I was in the middle of a nap!" Scar shouted. He was annoyed when I woke him up, but I did not care. This needed to end here and now.

"I want a divorce," I said. It was dead silent for a moment which scared me.

Finally, after a few minutes, Scar spoke up. He was screaming with rage. "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN YOU WANT A DIVORCE! YOU KNOW THE LAW! DIVORCE ME AND YOU DIE!" Scar roared.

"You heard her Scar. Divorce her, now." Mufasa said firmly.

"Scar, you need to stop. Stop hurting your sister. She does not deserve any of this." Uru pleaded, her eyes filled with tears. But Scar had no mercy. He listened to none of our pleas. Scar suddenly leaped up and jumped onto me. Scar pinned me with the ground with such force.

"Scar, stop!" Kovu yelled. Kovu tried to push him off me, but Scar pushed him back.

"Don't any of you get any closer. Stay back. All of you." Scar warned, his voice was dangerously low. I tried pushing Scar off me. He held me firmly to ensure I didn't escape. Scar leaned into my ear, and his hot breath brushed against my ear. "You tried to leave me, Lana. Now you are paying the price." He whispered.

I screamed when Scar scratched my eye with his claws. Scar then swiped his claws at my chest. He nearly missed my heart when he attacked me. His claws dug deep into my chest. (A/N: This attack was away from her heart so she didn't die.)

I screamed in pain again. Mufasa and Ahadi suddenly jumped onto Scar. They pushed him down to the ground and pinned him.

"Everyone! Get my daughter to safety! Quickly!" Ahadi yelled. Uru picked me up by the scruff of my neck.

"We will hold him off while you escape," Mufasa said.

"Okay, let's go!" Simba yelled. We quickly ran away from Pride Rock. We safely made it to my room.

"The Library of Legends will be the safest. Evil can't enter there." Emily said.

"Hurry Emily! I- I can't-" I clutched my chest where I was bleeding out.

"Just hang in there Lana," Emily said. Emily quickly opened up the booking portal. When we got to the Library of Legends, Uru set me down on the couch.

"Move out of the way!" April yelled as she pushed past people. I gulped when I saw April carrying the medical kit. Great, more pain. April applied the medicine. When the medicine touched my shoulder, it stung badly. I tried to hold back my tears when April kept applying the medicine but sometimes, I can't hold in my emotions. I don't want to be a baby in front of my family. I'm a Glitter Warrior. I'm supposed to be tough.

Nala put her paws on my shoulders as she licked the tears from my eyes. "It's okay honey. You can cry. I won't judge you." Nala said. As soon as she said those words, tears flowed freely from my eyes. I cried loudly as April continued applying the medicine. Everything hurts. Next, it was time to stitch up the wounds.

"Are we almost done?" I asked.

"Yes Lana, I just need to stitch up you're wounds. It will take me 10 minutes." April said. As April was stitching up my wounds, Uru started to give me my bath. Emily was reading to me one of her favorite fairy tales while Lily was showing me some of her artwork. After a while, Ahadi and Mufasa burst into the room. They had cuts all over their bodies.

"Holy shit, what the hell happened to you guys?" Kovu said.

"Scar attacked us but we beat him up real good for you, Lana. From his condition, he won't be able to move for a week." Ahadi said.

"I wouldn't go back to Pride Rock for a while, Lana. Scar is still dangerous." Mufasa said.

"I suggest we should wait for a few days to run away. Just to be safe because of Scar's attack. He's still powerful and who knows what he would do to Lana if he finds her." Chloe said.

"Yeah, that's a good idea. Let's wait it out. Then we will leave after a few days." Sarabi said.

Aunt Sarafina nuzzled me. "You need rest for now Lana. You need your strength up for when we leave." Aunt Sarafina said.

I nodded. "Okay," I said. Today was exhausting/stressful. I was not able to escape from Scar today but one day I hope I will be able to.
