Naruto sat on her bed, staring blankly at the wall in front of her. Today was supposed to be her first day back homeschooling with her teacher Iruka, a day filled with sarcasm. But for now, she was locked in her room, avoiding her parents.
After her parents found out Naruto was telling the truth they tried to apologize but Naruto refused to talk to them. After her birthday Naruto was informed that she would not return to school and would stick to homeschooling, but she didn't care all Naruto felt was numb as she lay on her bed even refusing to do anything.
But then, her parents betrayed her trust. They had forced Naruto to take an exam.
Naruto couldn't believe it. She had always been an outstanding student and a responsible daughter, but one mistake ruined everything. As she sat there, she heard a knock on her window. She didn't want to answer, but the knock persisted. Finally, she got up and opened her window, widening at the sight of Haku standing on the other side.
"Hey," Haku said softly, noticing Naruto's tears. "I heard what happened. I'm sorry."
Naruto couldn't hold back her emotions anymore. She broke down in tears, telling Haku everything that had happened. Haku listened patiently, his arms wrapped around Naruto in a comforting hug.
"I'm here for you, Naruto," Haku said, his voice determined. "Why don't you come stay for a few days, just to get away for a while?"
Naruto looked up at Haku, feeling a glimmer of hope. Maybe things weren't as hopeless as they seemed. With Haku by her side, she knew she could face anything.
"Okay," Naruto smiled as Haku wiped her tears with a bright smile, pressing a kiss against her cheek.
"Great I'll pack your clothes; we can walk to my house." Naruto nodded as she giggled.
As Naruto climbed down the trellis outside her bedroom window, her heart pounded with fear and excitement. She had always been an honorable girl, obedient and dutiful, but her parents' betrayal shattered her trust in them.
Haku waited for her outside her bag in his hands. Naruto knew she couldn't stay in that house anymore. She needed to get away, clear her mind, and figure out what to do next.
As she and Haku walked through the quiet streets, her mind raced with all the possibilities of what might happen next. What if her parents followed her? What if they disowned her for leaving? What if she never saw them again?
But Naruto pushed those thoughts aside, focusing instead on the warm glow of the fall leaves and the cool breeze on her face. She was free, at least for the moment, and that was all that mattered.
When they finally arrived at Haku's house, she was out of breath and trembling with nerves. But as soon as Haku opened the door and embraced Naruto, a sense of calm washed over her.
For the first time in weeks, she felt not alone. And as she sat with Haku, laughing, and crying, she knew she had made the right decision to leave. As Haku finished doing Naruto's hair his eyes were filled with curiosity as he sat next to Naruto.
"So... when I was looking for some clothes, I found this!" Naruto's eyes widened as the site of the phone Hinata gave her appeared in front of her.
"Hey, Haku! Give that back!" Naruto tried to reach for it only for Haku to raise his hand higher despite being taller than her.
I won't let you until you tell me who got you this. "The blonde pouted as she grabbed the phone, causing both to fall onto the floor.
"Oh, Haku are you okay?" the brunette nodded as he snatched the phone out of his friend's hand.
"Now tell me who gave this to you, because I know your parents did not give you this."
"Fine! It was Hinata after our date and he wanted to make sure I was safe, so he gave me this phone to call or text him" The face Haku made Naruto blush as she looked away with burning cheeks causing the others to giggle and poke her whisker cheeks.
"Aww, you're so cute! Even though I don't like him, I do appreciate the way he treats you" Haku said with a smile causing the blonde to press a kiss against his cheek.
"Thanks, Haku. Ano, I don't understand why you don't like Hinata" the brunette pouted as he took a sip of his cocoa in his hands enjoying the warmth of the cocoa.
"It's just...we only had each other because everyone pushed us away because we were omegas...even with Uchiha Sasuke, Nara Shikamaru, Kiba Inuzuka, and Sai something too they wouldn't let us hang out with them because they said we would get hurt, it was just us and we would hang out like all the time despite the boys picking on you but then I got put into that arranged marriage with Sawyer and we hardly got to spend any time together. " Haku sighed as he put the cup down to look at Naruto.
"So, when you started public school, I was so happy to spend time with you but then you met Hinata and started to hang out with him. We barely had any classes together and you invited Hinata whenever you saw him alone. I kind of thought you did it out of pity." Naruto's eyes softened but Haku refused to look as he focused on the firewood that was burning.
"But then I started to notice the way you would pay attention to him when he talked about anything and listen as if those were his last words. Sometimes when we were together you would sneak glances at him during lunch time or studying. I hated his ability to make you blush without knowing it. And when Sasuke started that fight with Hinata because he had not presented himself, you lashed out at Sasuke, your second-best friend, in front of everyone. You defended Hinata, the shy boy who doesn't bother to talk unless he has to, I just got so jealous."
Haku nervously fidgeted with his hands as he moved to sit across from Naruto on the soft carpet. He had wanted to tell her about these feelings for a long time. Finally, he took a deep breath and spoke.
"Naruto, there's something I need to tell you, "He said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Naruto looked at him with concern. "What's wrong, Haku?"
"It's not anything terrible," Haku replied, trying to keep his voice steady. "I just need to tell you that...I have feelings for you. More than just friendship, I mean."
Naruto's eyes widened in surprise. "Haku, I had no idea at all. But...that's not possible, is it? You're in a relationship."
Haku nodded. Certainly, I don't expect you to leave that. I just needed to be honest with you about how I felt. You've been my best friend for so long, and I couldn't keep this from you."
Naruto looked down at her hands, seemingly lost in thought. After a moment, she spoke up. "Haku, you know I care deeply. You're in a relationship your parents would kill me and you. I can't be with you like that. I hope you understand."
Haku nodded, feeling relief and disappointment. "I understand, Naruto. And I don't want to risk our friendship over this. I'm just glad I could be honest with you."
They sat in silence for moments, both lost in their thoughts. But then Haku spoke up again. "You know, even though we can't be together like that, I'm still grateful for our friendship. You mean so much to me, Naruto. And I'm happy that we can always be there for each other, no matter what."
Naruto smiled. "I feel the same way, Haku. You're one of the most significant people in my life, and that won't change."
With that, they both stood up and hugged each other tightly. It was a bittersweet moment, but they both knew their friendship was strong enough to withstand anything.
Haku touched her shoulder. "You can stay with me for as long as you need. I'll help you figure out things you know with your parents."
Just as Naruto breathed a sigh of relief, the room suddenly filled with blinding light. Before they knew it, they were no longer in Haku's bedroom, but in an abandoned warehouse.
"What the hell is going on?" Haku exclaimed, his eyes darting around the dimly lit space.
Naruto's heart pounded in her chest. "I don't know, but I have an uneasy feeling about this."
Suddenly, a group of masked men appeared out of nowhere, surrounding them. Naruto and Haku were trapped, with no way out.
"What do you want from us?" Haku whispered, his voice shaking with fear.
The group leader stepped forward; his face hidden behind a mask. "We don't want anything from you. But our boss, so you two are coming with us."
Naruto and Haku exchanged terrified glances, unsure of what was happening. They had no idea who these people were or what they wanted from them.
As their eyes adjusted to the dim light, they saw a man with a stern expression sitting in front of them. It was the leader of the Taketori clan, a notorious group of gangsters that their parents had feuded with for years.
"You two are coming with me," he said in a low, menacing voice. "Your parents have caused me a great deal of trouble, and I've decided to take matters into my own hands."
Naruto and Haku were terrified, but they tried to stay calm. They never thought it would come to this.
The Taketori leader sneered at them as he locked the door behind them.
"You're going to stay here until your parents come to their senses," he said. "Maybe during this, we can have a little fun with you two."
Naruto and Haku looked frightened as they huddled together in the corner, trying to keep warm in the damp, cold room.
As one of the men tried desperately to grab Haku, Naruto flew into a rage. He kicked the man in the crotch.
The dark-haired man grasped his member as he fell to the ground, raising his head, his eyes glaring.
"You stupid Bitch I'll make you pay for that!" he growled as he stepped forward and pointed towards the other men as he yelled at them. "Toshi, Uyeda! Grab them! And hold them down!"
Naruto tried to grab Haku's hand to run but felt the wind knocked out of her throat as she hit something sharp, her eyes opened once again as her throat was grabbed and the grip tightened as she stared into the eyes of Tetsuya the menacing leader of the Taketori clan.
"You're making it very difficult don't think I don't know who you are 'he leaned in, gripping her throat tighter as he whispered in her ear, his other hand gripping both of her by the wrist.
"And don't think your parents are coming because they're not" he gripped her throat harder, the choking sounds going completely deaf to his ears. Letting go he threw her back against the wall as she coughed.
Having thrown out the other omega, Haku and Naruto stand back-to-back in the dimly lit room, battered and bruised. The sound of their heavy breathing fills the air as they face off against a group of dangerous men. The tension is palpable.
Tetsuya stands away, watching with a sinister grin on his face. He was frightened by the intense fight, waiting for the right moment to strike the small blonde again.
Suddenly, smoke fills the room, clouding Haku and Naruto's vision. They try to stay focused, but their opponents take advantage of the situation, landing blows.
From the smoke, a hidden figure appears, stealthily taking out the men one by one with swift and precise movements. Haku and Naruto glance at each other. Their hope is rekindled.
An explosion rocks the building, raining debris down. Haku's determination stays unshaken as he spots Hinata still standing amidst the chaos. He knows he must protect Naruto at all costs.
Haku pushes Naruto towards the hidden figure, his voice urgent. Through gritted teeth, Haku said "Protect her! Don't let anything happen to her!
Naruto, bewildered and protesting, resists Haku's self-sacrifice, but he insists, his eyes filled with unwavering resolve.
Haku grabbed her hand as he whispered "You have to trust me, Naruto. I'll be behind you."
Reluctantly, Naruto heeds Haku's words and runs towards the hidden figure, leaving Haku behind in the crumbling building.
As Naruto reaches safety, the hidden figure removes their mask, revealing themselves to be Hinata, Naruto's crush. Naruto's eyes widen in shock and disbelief.
"H-Hinata? You..." Naruto stammered her mind tickling like a clock. The building erupts in a massive explosion before Naruto can finish her sentence. Naruto is thrown back, slamming into a wall. The impact knocks her unconscious, and everything fades to black.
