Chapter 4: Battle In Slowpoke Well! Team Rocket Returns To Evil?

While walking to the Pokémon Center in Azalea Town, Michael looked over towards Slowpoke Well and saw a Team Rocket grunt walking towards it.

Michael - "Why is there a Team Rocket grunt here? Shouldn't they be with Giovanni back in Kanto?"

Clair noticed Michael started walking towards the well.

Clair - "Something wrong Michael?"

Michael - "I thought I saw a Team Rocket grunt entering the Slowpoke Well."

Twilight - "So what are you gonna do about it?"

Michael - "For now you girls go to the Pokémon Center and rest. I'll check out the Slowpoke Well on my own."

Kronii - "Just be careful okay."

Michael - "I will."

While the girls headed for the Pokémon Center, Michael made his way to the Slowpoke Well. Upon reaching the bottom of the well, Michael went into the deeper parts to see Team Rocket grunts stealing Slowpoketails.

Michael - "May I ask what you guys are doing?"

The grunts turned to see Michael.

Grunt A - "What's it to ya brat? Guess we need to put you in your place."

Michael - "So be it then. Swampert! Delphox! Incineroar! Take care of these grunts!"

Swampert/Delphox/Incineroar - "Right!"

The starter trio then quickly disposed of the grunts.

? - "Hey, hey, hey! Can you grunts seriously NOT beat a single kid?"

Michael - "And you are?"

? - "Name's Proton. I'm one of Team Rocket's executives."

Michael silently took in what Proton was saying.

Michael - "Something's not right here. I better inform Giovanni about this afterwards."

Proton - "Go Crobat! Dark Booster! Use Crunch!"

Michael - "Delphox I choose you! Psychic Booster and Fire Booster! Psyflame!"

Crunch's Current Power: 80 + 16 = 96 x 2 = 192

Psychic's Current Power: 90 + 45 = 135 + 27 = 162

Flamethrower's Current Power: 90 + 45 = 135 + 27 = 162 + 32.4 = 194.4

Psyflame's Current Power: 162 + 194.4 = 356.4 x 2 = 712.8

Delphox knocked out Crobat with little effort.

Proton - "Curse you! Crobat return! Go Weezing! Use Dark Pulse!"

Michael - "Psyflame!"

Much like with Crobat, Weezing was just as quickly knocked out. Proton returned Weezing and fled.

Proton - "You'll pay for this brat!"

Delphox - "Hey wait!"

Michael - "Let him go Delphox. He's not worth it right now."

Incineroar - "You gonna inform Giovanni about this?"

Michael - "Yeah. I'll do it on my way back to the Pokémon Center."

Michael returned the Starter Trio, then made his way out of Slowpoke Well. Along the way, he quickly informed Giovanni about what happened.

Giovanni - "I had been wondering why around half of the entire team had gone missing."

Michael - "Do you have an idea about who could be in charge over here in Johto?"

Giovanni - "Archer and Domino are out. The former's going around headquarters here making sure everything's in order, while the latter's working with Jessie, James, Cassidy, and Butch to build Team Pokémon's new headquarters."

Michael - "I see. Also, thanks for telling me about the new headquarters."

Giovanni - "Dammit. I was supposed to keep quiet about that."

Michael - "Why?"

Giovanni - "Domino wanted to surprise you with it..."

Michael - "To be fair. You only TOLD me about it. I still haven't SEEN any pics of the place yet."

Giovanni - "That's true. Perhaps there's a chance after all."

Michael - "That's the spirit Giovanni. Ok I better get back to my friends. I'll be sure to keep you updated if I learn anything new."

Giovanni - "I'll update you as well if anything comes up over here. Safe travels!"

Michael ended the call and saw that he was in front of the Pokémon Center. He then walked inside, deciding to inform the girls about Team Rocket.
