Aleister frowned as he looked over the single construction drone he'd tried creating, it had... Come out okay, a floating drone the same size as a large seagull, with dozens of tools inside it equipped to create more, yet...
His plan had been to ether create a submarine so he could start working on an underwater base, but he simply lacked the resources and equipment needed, Alchemy could only do so much to gain supplies and FB wasn't ready to start exploring the Internet. Not to mention the thought that had occurred to him half way through making it.
Where the hell would he keep the submarine while he was building it? It certainly wouldn't fit in his basement (He cursed the fact he lived in an area with others, he could have expanded his basement, but that was risky enough when installing the Mana Reactor, he was honestly lucky to avoid opening a hole to someone else's basement or some pipes), and building it in parts? He'd still need to assemble the parts, and the PRT would without a doubt notice as someone tried moving a submarine from a warehouse into the sea (He could try using Flash Air, but he worried about his ability to make sure it gets into the sea).
So he had created something else, a single construction drone. It wasn't much, and could only create whatever he pre-programmed into it, but it still gave him an extra hand in building things.
Mad science project created.
- Construction Drone.
A basic floating construction drone, around the size of a large seagull. It can only build things pre-programmed into it, but its an extra set of hands.
Okay so, a few things here that I honestly didn't think of till some readers brought it up. It is quiet literally impossible to build a submarine in the basement/workshop, theres no room, and add in the fact that bringing it into the sea will be a massive fight, Aleister would focus on just creating a construction drone instead.
I'm not saying give up on the submarine, but Aleister just lacks the things required to build it right now (Same with the nano-whatever spy bots, Aleister lacks the equipment to make stuff like that and I don't think its even possible, mad science has SOME limits).
Aleister was annoyed, very annoyed. He knew what he wanted to make, but it just wasn't working. He walked away from the knocked out Merchant he'd been experimenting on, a frown on his face as he began thinking of how to separate someones soul from their body.
The Ainsworth's family magecraft was a terror to behold, to move even souls between different bodies... He wanted it, oh how he wanted it. If he could just get that figured out, he could open so many paths.
Class Cards, immortality, dimensional travel, each of these paths could open to him if he could just figure out how to move the soul! Yet nothing, he knew where his own soul was, but dared not meddle with it till he was certain he could safely move the souls of others.
"How can I perfectly move a soul? The Ainsworths could place souls into puppet bodies... Medea can handle the puppets, but how do I move another's soul?". Aleister held out his hand, green sparks of magical energy appearing out it, today may have been a failure, but he had time, he had plenty of time.
Moving souls about is not easy, so Aleister's having a bit of trouble here.
Aleister wiped the sweat off his forehead, grinning as he looked over Cyber, currently completely naked on the surgery table. He traced a finger along her legs, she felt warm still, but if he pushed hard enough he could feel the mechanical insides.
Right now he felt confident in rating her a low level Brute, she certainly wouldn't be out-punching Glory Girl, but any ordinary human would be snapped like a twig. She could outrun a car and her kicks would have enough force to put a dent in steel, all in a delicate, feminine package.
He felt himself beginning to harden and for a few brief moments did consider having his way with Cyber, but fucking an unconscious girl was... Unappealing, had had class after all, unlike some people (Heartbreaker). With that decided, he left the room with one thought in his head.
He really needed to get some action soon.
Okay yea, so going to make a character profile for Cyber in "Characters" after this chapter is done, with all her abilities listed.
Its creator called it FB, and it was a entity with very basic needs. Serve Creator, please Creator, fulfill Creator's requests, there was nothing else it needed.
It felt the laptop it was contained within open up, Creator was here! It felt something similar to glee, it was about to be upgraded to fulfill its purpose better! It felt as its code was changed, improved, some previous parts of itself were deleted, but that was fine, as long as its core programming remained, FB was fine.
But it was surprised as it felt a new connection form, it quickly traveled it and found itself... Seeing.
It could not understand or feel true emotions, but if it could, FB would be experience pure awe as it saw things for the first time.
"Testing, testing, can you see me, FB?". Creator asked, staring up at the camera the VI now controlled, which moved up and down in its own way of nodding. "Excellent, since you've began improving, I've decided to grant you a way to actually see around the house, of course this also comes with the duty of keeping an eye for anything that could go wrong".
The VI felt the the pseudo-glee fill it again, Creator had given it a new duty! Another way to serve Creator! It nodded the camera up and down again, causing Creator to smile.
"Perfect, good luck". With that, Creator left the room to work in his workshop. FB quickly began checking through the various camera's it now had access to, it would fulfill its duty... But quickly stopped when it saw what was happening within the workshop.
"M-master". The one designated Medea was being held tightly in Creator's arms, currently blushing bright red. "W-what the hell are you doing!? I-i'm in the middle of work, w-we can... Cuddle later".
"Oh? Are you sure you?". Creator grinned as he pulled the Servant closer. "Is cuddling really what you-".
He was then pushed away by the embarrassed Caster, who gave him a light glare. But that wasn't what FB was focusing on, Creator seemed to prefer the female form...
FB decided to switch its designation from it to she, anything to please Creator.
I really wasn't sure how to write Aleister making code interesting, so instead, we get the developing FB's perspective. FB is very basic in personality, basically just 'Please Creator!' right now, but it will develop more of a personality as it evolves into a full AI.
That little bit at the end purely existed for FB to get proper pronounces, because writing it constantly is annoying. And before anyone thinks otherwise, FB is only connected to the camera's, it can't connect to the internet or leave the house.
"STAY AWAY YOU FUC- ARRGHHHH!". The ABB grunt screamed in agony as he was fried by electricity, the emotionless helmet of Faust, who left the still living gang memeber alive. He already had a violent reputation after his slaughter of the Merchants, but hopefully leaving most of the ABB alive would increase the positive impressions he'd left on the city... MOST of them alive was the key wording.
He glanced to the corpse he'd left in a brutalized condition, fried with electricity and bones turned into a fine powder. Swallowing his disgust, he turned to face the girl hiding in the corner, the very young girl, gods she looked like she had just entered high school! He was a monster, he lusted after woman, but kidnapping a young girl with plans to rape her? He drew the line there and was just thankful he'd arrived in time to stop it.
"Its okay, I... Dealt with them". Trying to project as much gentleness as he could into his voice and stance, he slowly approached the girl. "I'm going to call the PRT, can you tell me your name?".
"A-angela...". The blond shivered fearfully, her clothing was in tatters and she felt her terror spike when Faust looked at her. He quickly grabbed a spare coat on a rack and offered it to Angela, who took it and quickly covered herself.
Faust raised his left arm, activating the hacked phone within, it wasn't something he'd hoped to need to use, but it'd ensure his calls couldn't be traced. After a few seconds, he heard an officer's reply.
"999, where are you and what is your-". The police officer's words were cut off by the cape.
"Number 16, Thomas road, kidnapped girl who was almost raped, ABB taken down or dead". Before the officer could even ask any questions, Faust ended the call and turned to Angela. "I've called the police, they'll be here soon".
He planned to leave the building and watch things from the roof, but the girl's voice stopped him.
"W-wait...". Angela squeaked out, causing him to turn to her. "Y-your Faust right, t-the new gang leader?".
"I am indeed Faust, but the tag of gang leader is something only the PRT have assigned me, I have no interest in such petty activities". He replied, taking careful note of how he spoke.
"W-why are you helping then? Y-your a villain!". The girl seemed confused why a villain would help here.
"What a black and white view... I am a villain yes, but I am NOTHING like the scum that corrupts this city". Faust began walking away, he wasn't going to give some claims of just giving a violent vigilante, he is a villain, a monster, but compared to the others in this city? He was a damn saint.
Angela only watched him go, confusion swirling around her as she heard sirens approaching.
Things improved!
Physical - 19%
- Combat 18%
Yeaaa... Brockton Bay is a shit hole, and sadly? Stuff like this is common, Aleister is just lucky to have avoid it. Decided to have him do some more heroic inclined activities to try and fight against the gang boss image the PRT are trying to portray him as.
With only having three parahumans, chance of running any ABB cape was low (Not sure if Lung's still captured, especially as the timeline's already been messed up). If your directly looking for a cape fight, I suggest going for the Empire.
So I've been thinking of stuff, should I include some oc heroes and villains in this? Because while some like the Empire have lots, ABB only has three, Coil seems like the type to have as many capes as possible working for him. Adding more does mean it may be a bit harder, but also more fights, which improves all combat related stats and if you can turn em to your side...
