The biggest difficulty Aleister had found with reworking the Faust Mystic Code with vibranium was ensuring it wouldn't mess with the magecraft he'd used on it and he'd... Well he'd succeded after eight long hours of work, looking over the suit with a smile.
It'd be less effective in 'Leonardo Mode' of course, but the Faust suits full armored mode was near completely protected with vibranium, meaning he could negate any kinetic energy he was hit with. But he couldn't become arrogant, plenty of parahuman powers could get around it after all.
Mystic Code updated!
- Faust Suit.
A shifting suit with two modes, an armorless mode for normal interactions, and an armor mode for casual or peaceful interactions. The armorless mode also changes Aleister's hair and eye color.
1. Enhances Physical Parameters by 5.
2. Provides decent protection, enough to deal with bullets and knifes.
3. Reinforced with vibranium, negating all kinetic force in full armor mode and 30% of it when in armorless mode.
4.. Smaller Mystic Codes can be inserted into it
(Currently inserted MS: Ruby of Stealth, and Barrier Key).
Aleister groaned as he focused, accelerating his thoughts was taking a bit of time to get used to, but he'd worked out the spell. But he also discovered a few... Down sides.
After around twenty minutes of use, he'd found himself forced to deactivate the spell as he was filled with a searing pain through his skull. It wasn't exactly something he could train or improve however, at least not without experimenting on his own brain, not something he wanted to try doing for a long long time.
New spell created.
- Thought Acceleration (Allows the user to accelerate their thought process, but overuse can cause headaches or even death, this cannot be changed or negated).
"So this is a potion of immortality?". Aleister asked as he watched Medea work on a bubbling purple potion.
"Calling it a potion of immortality... No, its simply a strong healing effect, if granting immortality was as easy as making this potion, we'd have dozens walking about in Greece". The Caster grabbed a dandelion and began grinding it into pulp, occasionally sprinkling in some salt crystals and water. "However, drinking to much is a bad idea, its best used by directly applying it to your wounds".
"Understood... But why is drinking to much a bad idea?". The master was confused but wary, he had an idea but he'd rather hear the full situation from her.
"Drinking will cause it to spread across your entire body so if your entire body needs healing its good, but if you drink it and have no wounds to heal... Well, I can't imagine you'd enjoy a piece of your body rapidly expanding".
"...Noted...". Aleister tried not to gag at the thought.
Item acquired.
- Potion of Immortality (By drinking or applying to wounds, it carries incredibly potent healing properties).
"...Well, it looks like Faust at least...?". Medea tried putting some positives into the situations, and Aleister was confused how the hell the golem they were trying to create... Turned into fucking chocolate.
"How the hell did this even happen?! How!? We weren't using alchemy, so how!?". The master couldn't understand it, wtf was this!? He was just trying to apply an electric Mystic Code to it, and instead it all turned into chocolate.
"I think this is just one of those situations we can't explain...". Medea was a magical genius, and she could only call this a magical miracle of strange proportions. "At least it looks edible?".
"...I'm not sure I trust magically created chocolate".
Sadly, creating an adaptive war golem is just a bit to much for a single action, so instead we got some... Weirdness.
Aleister watched as the currently unconscious Alabaster's arm was completely restored, dumbfounded.
The only way he'd found to keep Alabaster even unconscious was a spell from Medea, any mundane means just didn't work. Any wounds to the Empire cape were also completely restored after a few seconds, four to be exact, but it wasn't the flesh removed returning, it was being replaced.
He had at least a dozen different body parts, yet the cape just kept creating more, it wasn't high speed regeneration, it was as if a new body part was formed out of nothing and perfectly attached.
But where was it coming from? He quickly set up a spell and device to detect energy or spacial manipulation, and then cut off Alabaster's leg, and after a few moments he had confirmation of space warping as a new limb appeared.
It was defiantly SOMETHING creating new body parts for the parahuman, but what? Was it a sentient being, or something without a mind, something that simply did and didn't think? He had no idea.
"At least, you serve as a good test subject...". Aleister mused as he went back to chopping off limbs and trying to figure out more of how parahuman powers worked.
Well, Aleister's starting to get a bit more knowledge on parahumans, but is nowhere near close to discovering Shards.
Sorry for how short this chapter is, just really wasn't feeling it and wanted to give this SOME kind of update. Hopefully next update will be better.
