Chapter 1: New Beginnings
Naruto Uzumaki, who had just turned five years old, had just woken up to his birthday on October 10th, and he usually would wake up happy as on any other day. Still, today, Naruto was not pleased, as today, just like every year, the villagers of Konoha had always been more restless and would view him with much more disgust and hatred in their eyes.
Naruto had given up on attempting to befriend the villagers since he turned four as no one would ever give him any clear answers whatsoever and would push him away, away from their children with whom Naruto wanted to become friends, and even the strongest person he knew, the Hokage, the leader of the village would lead him away from the questions he asked and eventually, he just stopped, he still was curious but felt it would be better if he didn't annoy the one person who took care of him, in his own way.
He had decided to find the answers one way or the other, but never had he expected a floating blue box in front of him.
Welcome Naruto Uzumaki, to the Gamer System. Do you wish for a tutorial? Yes/No?
Naruto tried to push away the translucent, blue box, but all it did was let his hand through but stay the same. He thought of ignoring it, figuring it was just an illusion or he was having a very lucid dream, but even still, his mind couldn't possibly think of this, when he had never even seen something close looking like this.
Naruto took a leap of faith and pressed Yes to receive the tutorial, and after the tutorial finished, he was amazed to think that he of all people was chosen for such an ability, a gift from otherworldly beings wishing for some amusement, though he felt offended of being a guinea pig, the bloodline would make him stronger and that in on itself was more than worth it.
He could peruse many options: stats, skills, special abilities, titles, reputation, missions, inventory, game store, dungeons, and settings. He pressed on stats and a whole list of his attributes popped up along with its values.

Info
Each Str point indicates the damage the user can apply to others if a successful hit lands. Each Str point is worth a 10hp reduction.
Spd is self-explanatory, the Spd Stat tells the user of what level or rank they are on based on the points in the stat.
Sta is self-explanatory, the Sta Stat tells the user what level or rank they are on based on the points in the stat.
The Dex stat represents how skilful they are in dodging attacks and how much movement is wasted while dodging.
Each Vit point represents 200hp, so the higher the stat the more damage you can receive.
Each Chk point represents 200hp, so the higher the stat the more chakra you have in reserve to use.
The Int stat represents what level or rank they are on based on the points in the stat.
The Wis stat represents how experienced you are overall, and the higher points indicate a higher level of wisdom and insight.
All of your stats can be increased in two ways, either by training them individually or allocating attribute points to them. Five attribute points are given per level.
'Well, I guess that's good, right, I already have a lot of chakra and vitality points compared to my other stats, but since I don't have a list to tell what rank I'm on, these stats may either be completely useless or amazing.'

'That's pretty good, I get a point by just thinking but more on that later, I need to go through all the other options.'
Naruto backed to the main menu, tapped on inventory, and discovered that he had limitless space in this space-time-bending dimension. Game Store was where he was offered what the game had to give, from weapons to clothes and even food, but all of it cost money and he received a monthly pension of 10,000 Ryo, and he would've received double, but since he isn't paying for any utility and grocery bills, his orphan pension was cut in half.
Naruto went to press dungeon and a whole list of dungeons popped out. From the first dungeon recommended to level 1, the second to level 5, the third to level 10, and so on. Naruto was ecstatic, a whole game-simulated area where he could test out his skills and train in a real-life battle simulator. He wanted to tap on the level 1 dungeon and see what it was like, and he was an inch close to tapping the button to enter when another notification popped up.

'Oh come on, you just had to interfere, didn't you? Fine,' Naruto sighed resolutely, 'I'll play by your rules. But where would I even find a weapon, I haven't even started training to become a Shinobi, oh wait a minute, maybe the Game store has weapons I can buy.' Naruto didn't waste a single second, entering the Game Store and quickly purchasing a Kunai Set for 500 RYO. And in return, he received the Taijutsu scroll for completing the quest.

Naruto tapped on yes, and a screen appeared in front of him, knowledge of Taijutsu flooding his brain; to evade, block, manoeuvre, redirect, feint, and everything basic but the slightly advanced techniques were blocked, he couldn't access them and reading the screen made him understand why.

This skill is currently on the lowest level and can go up by two tiers, the next being Intermediate and the highest being Advanced.

Naruto entered the dungeon and the world around him turned black. When he came to, he found himself in a forest, not unlike those in Konoha, so Naruto felt some form of familiarity. A block of text was blocking his view, so he looked over to read it.
Welcome Naruto, to a Natural Dungeon! This is the lowest-level dungeon available at your current level. The dungeon will automatically increase in level once you complete the dungeon, though you can go back to a previously completed dungeon. In the dungeons, you will face opponents with levels 5 more than yours, and the Dungeon Boss will always be 10 Level above yours, for example at currently level 1, the Boss will be at level 11.
Having finally entered the Dungeon, you have gained the ability to store the experience you gain for later use. This will allow you to gain an edge against your opponents in a fight if for any reason you are cornered.
As is tradition with all Gamers who have come before you, we will show you a list of rankings from Civilian to Kage, for you to see where you stand, this list will be available to see in Stats.

'Yes, just need to go to settings to toggle on the option. The only stat close to Genin Level is my Chakra and Vitality damn it, the rest are unbalanced. But nothing like the present with a Dungeon in front of me to get my stats up.'

Naruto having armed himself with a kunai, gripped it tightly and began his trek into the forest, moving between trees and stepping over the gnarled roots. Five minutes in, Naruto was wondering where the enemies were and why he hadn't faced any.
Naruto let out a sigh of disappointment and had just begun to sit down and think of something to pass the time when his instinct overcame his body, and he jumped forward just barely enough to dodge the claws that came rushing down to greet him. He looked at his attacker and saw that it was a squirrel, an orange-furred, with razor-sharp claws, black beady eyes filled with animalistic fury, muscles tensed just waiting to strike him down.

'So the squirrel has slightly higher dexterity and agility, but I have the upper hand in strength, even if barely, stamina, and speed, so I have to make the most of it, though I would mind getting hit by those scary claws of theirs. And its strength stat is 5 so each hit would mean a minus 50hp from me.
Naruto rushed forward, hoping he had the upper hand and would be able to land a solid hit before the squirrel would come to its senses. He had his kunai stabbing downwards, aimed at the skull and expected a perfectly clean kill, the squirrel's eyes watching him intensely as the blade came closer and closer, the steel glinting in the dim forest light.
The squirrel evaded at the last second, landing on all fours on the tree, using it as a spring to launch himself at Naruto, its claws leaving marks on the tree, Naruto barely had the time to evade, the claws barely nipping his neck, just enough to spill the first blood.

Naruto wiped the blood away, the small cut already healing, wincing from the rapid bursts of pain that erupted from his cut. Frustrated that he was careless, he thought that his speed would be enough to counter the squirrel's dexterity but that the squirrel got the first hit on him.
Naruto launched himself at the squirrel, determined to get payback for the blood.
Kunai in both hands, Naruto stabbed and slashed, missing every time but with every strike of his blade, he was getting nearer and nearer to clipping it, and the closest he got, was slashing away some of its furs, but nowhere near its flesh. The squirrel barking at Naruto leapt on his forearm and over his head, used it as a base, and launched himself into the forest, with Naruto full tilt on its heels.
The squirrel jumped up to the trees, leaping diagonally, just barely ahead of Naruto, taking advantage of his fury, leading him into the denser area of the woods, trees closer, branches and the undergrowth thicker, roots contributing to Naruto occasionally tripping, making the squirrel gain more distance between them but not enough for him to lose sight of the red menace, as Naruto called it.
They arrived in a clearing where two other squirrels were waiting for their approach along with the first squirrel. Naruto hesitated, while he made claims of killing the squirrel regardless of who or what he faced, he wasn't sure whether he could handle three at once. Nevertheless, Naruto calmed himself down, positioned himself in the defensive kata stance with his kunai in a backward grip, and waited for the squirrels to come to him.
One ran straight forward and leapt while the other two went diagonal, leaping on the trees, aiming for his head and neck, but Naruto remained calm, eyes flicking from one squirrel to the other, muscles tensed, ready to dish out damage.
The front one went flying back its back piercing an oddly sticking branch, screaming in pain, as his kick connected to its abdomen, when the one on the right came into Naruto's range, Naruto attempted a sucker punch aimed at his head, but the squirrel using its dexterity grabbed onto Naruto's hand and bit into it. He pushed through the pain and using the same hand Naruto whipped around and punched the third squirrel straight on its head, doing twice as much damage.
Naruto used 'observe' on the squirrel he kicked and noticed its hp went down by half, the attack landing a critical. The squirrel that bit Naruto had its hp down by 100, the other by 200.
And so the fight continued, Naruto with one of his kunai, stood ready, with his back against a tree, to defend against any ambushes from behind or any attacks from the front.
10 Minutes Later
Naruto eyed the swirling dust, and what remained behind were white glowing orbs, that were absorbed into his body. He read the notification on the side saying that he just received 75 Ryo and 75EXP.

3 Hours Later
Naruto's clothes were in tatters, down to his last two kunai, his wounds were healing at a rapid pace, courtesy of his Uzumaki regeneration, so in a few minutes he would be back to full strength. His stats had gone up by a lot, now coming close to Genin level.

You can see the basic description of anything you speak 'observe' on, with a list of their stats and abilities. You can see their stats and abilities if they are within 5 levels or below your level. Naruto was pleased with how fast he was growing in strength, three hours of work paid off, and now that he wasn't in constant danger he could now focus on his abilities and let his wounds heal. He did check out the special abilities list and was surprised by the abilities he had yet to gain and the ones he currently possessed.

'The Sharingan, but how, hmmm, didn't the stat list say that I was an Uchiha, it did, so how did I even miss the fact that I'm related to three clans, but still, this is simply awesome.'
After a few minutes of resting against a tree, Naruto got up and roamed around aimlessly looking for the Dungeon Boss, he had brought up the Quest. He saw that both the first objective as well as the optional one were marked as complete, and the second one, to defeat the dungeon boss remained.
He had in store 7500EXP; the reason being that for every twenty squirrels, the level of the squirrels increased by 1, and so the rewards gained also increased. As much as he was rewarded in EXP, he received the same amount in RYO.

'Of course, I'm going to say yes, I've gotten this far, I'm not going to just call it quits now, I have rewards to collect, and training to do.'
Naruto was transported into a clearing, a ring of tightly packed trees forming a barrier, meant to make sure that no one got out. The battle would occur here, and only the winner would be allowed freedom.
In front of him was a squirrel, compared to the minions as Naruto called them, it was huge, the size of a bear, with long incisors, its claws digging into the earth. Its intelligent eyes focused only on Naruto, following every movement he took, and with even the slightest step, it felt as if the very Earth was shaking.
Naruto was apprehensive, even without using 'observe' Naruto knew that the boss far outclassed him and that too by a significant margin.
