Peter and Ned were currently both curled up on the sofa at the tower, exhausted from building Lego all afternoon. Ned was over for a sleepover, and since May was working, all night long Tony insisted they stay with him. Something about knuckleheads that couldn't be trusted alone. Peter was very reliable and trustworthy. Thank you very much. Well, expect when he hid that stab wound or that time-you know what, just leave it. Peter kinda got Tony's point of view...
Ned suddenly asked while winking at him, "Wanna play two truths and one lie?" Peter groaned, shaking his head and mouthing silent death threats. The plan was off, and Peter sure remembered telling Ned that much, but it was too late. Tony appeared around the corner, grinning like a mad man. Just like Peter Ned knew that Tony could hear their every word and the superhero would never miss out.
"Count me in. This is going to be the easiest victory ever. Pete, here is literally the worst liar."
"Mr. Stark, I'm not that bad!" Peter whined, but Tony only raised an eyebrow before flopping down beside him on the couch. With one of his arms around the kid, the game started. It was Ted who went first,
"Ummm, I know! My first ever pet was a goldfish, I have never tried ice skating and me and Betty are dating."Ned finished with a proud look on his face. His kid didn't even wait a few seconds before answering, " The last one is a lie you would have told me!"
There was an awkward silence where the Ted kid blushed a deep scarlet-red colour. "Well, my parents did take me to canda, but I was too scared to try skating, and you remember Jeff, don't you?
Peter made a dramatic gasping sound, and Tony could only imagine his wide brown puppy eyes widened at the 'betrayal'.
Before anything could go further, Ned while giving Peter a serious look said, "Your turn, Peter."
"I have brown eyes, I love Lego and..."Ned gave him a kick against his leg," My dad grounded me recently. "After that last rushed out part, Peter buried his face in Tony's chest. The man, although still unaware, gave him a light squeeze. A lowly chuckle, making his chest rumble. Like rehearsed Ned said in an exasperated tone," Every time. Every single one he makes the orphan joke, and every time he loses."
Tony laughed harder, " Kid, you gotta try harder than that. Isn't there anything else-wait, your eyes are brown, and last time I checked, you loved Lego..."
Peter, still pressed to his chest, mumbled out the words, quite embarrassed," Yes, dad...you remember last week after all the ice cream went missing and you grounded me from sugar for 24 awake hours..."
After a few seconds, where Tony felt as if his heart would burst from the joy the man pressed a kiss to his spider baby's head," Kid, I love you, son style." Peter seemed to bury himself even deeper, "love you too...dad."
In the background Ned gave himself a pat on the back. Mission successful
