Peter's pov

The car ride was slightly awkward for the first few hours, but after another 2 minutes into the drive, Tony suddenly broke the silent atmosphere.

"Kid, why on earth do I let you be spider-man, and uhh, talking about spider-man, do you have actual superpowers, or is it just the suit?"

Peter smirked at the last part before answering in a amused tone," You tried to stop me a few times, especially after the whole getting shot situation but that didn't work so you just improved the suit's protocols. For the second part, I was bitten by a radioactive spider, so I have powers."

Tony looked stunned before saying, "I'm not even going to ask, but um-those web things don't come out if you right?"

Tony looked positively scared by what the answer could be. Peter couldn't help but bark out a laugh. He couldn't remember when he last did that, but it felt nice.

"No!"

Tony breathed out in relief as Peter continued, "That would just be plain gross dad! "

Out of the corner of his vision, Peter could see Tony wince at the casual saying of the word 'dad'. Looking at his lap, Peter nervesously intertwined his hands,

"Does it bother you that I call you dad?"

Peter's still wriggling hands were covered by one of Tony's hands, the other was ome the steering wheel, as the man replied,

"No, Pete, I-jeesh kid, I forgot you! You were left on your own without anything, and there I was, being a terrible dad living in luxury without knowing you existed..."

Peter swear Tony got choked up at the end of his rant.

Tony spoke before Peter had the chance, "I guess what I'm trying to say is, sorry."

Peter looked up for a few seconds. Just a while ago, he was kinda mad at the avengers for forgetting him, but he knew it wasn't their fault. Sometimes, a hero had to give things up to fix his mistakes.

"It's not your fault, dad. "

His dad countered the statement by saying, "It's not yours either, kiddo."

Peter scoffed, " You don't even know the whole story, I was selfish. I didn't want people to know I was spider-man, so I asked for that stupid spell and made everything worse!"

Peter added in a miserable voice, "I even drugged you, mom and Morgan."

Tony's face looked serious as he said, "You can't keep blaming yourself even if I'm very interested in this drugging situation."

Peter started out of the window, watching the trees whiz by,before muttering, "Whatever and it was just some sleeping dust."

His dad remained silent for another while before asking, "Where have you been staying these last two months? Steve told me the information you gave him before we left."

Peter continued to stare out of the window, "So you know about May then?"

Not actually wanting an answer, that hole still hurt, Peter said, "I live in this apartment near Queens. With my webs, it is about 5 minutes out."

Tony nodded his head," If you don't mind me asking, do you still go to school?"

" I totally understand if you don't, though,"Tony rushed out. Peter assumed he didn't want to sound disapproving if the answer was no.

Peter turned towards Tony again, Yay dad. I got a scholarship at Midtown High of Science and Technology."

Tony made a low whistling sound next to Peter," Kid, you got my smarts, didn't you?"

Peter laughed slightly, "You always used to say that when we were working in the lab or when I got a high grade."

Tony snapped his fingers, " That lab area and the tiny desk is yours, isn't it?"

"Yep," Peter said, popping the p.

I used to sit there almost every weekend doing extra homework. "I remember you used to move to the tower in the weekend so that we could see each other every day and then when we would move to the lake house for weekends and school holidays."

Tony smiled softly, "Pretty all that would be back to normal Pete."

Suddenly excited but nervous, Peter stared out of the front window. He exclaimed," I can see the house!"

Tony nodded just as excited," Time to see if we messed up your bedroom, right bud?"

Peter shook his head at the teasing, "No, I'm just so excited to see Morgan and Pepper again."

"Well, Pete, Morgan is just as excited to see you."

Peter stared at Tony, "She remembers me?"

The car drove into the driveway as Tony said," Yes, she is the first but not last to remember."

Before Peter could even get out of the car Morgan was rushing out of the house's door, a flustered Pepper behind her.

Morgan crashed into his legs and yelled, " Pete!"

Peter picked the excited girl up,she looked exactly like he remembered. Peter twirled her around before hugging her to his chest. Morgan wrapped her little arms around him.

They stood like that for a while untill Tony cleared his throat, "So no one missed me then?"

Pepper having made her away over to the man gave Tony a slap on the shoulder, "Shh,I'm watching my babies hug."

Peter smiled,Pepper was already referring to him as her kid.

Pushing Morgan away from him, Peter sat his sister down on the ground. She had a adorable pout on her face.

"Bad Pete", Morgan said in a stern tone.

Peter gave one laugh before Morgan grabbed his hand and tried to pull him. Peter let her lead the way. Stopping before the two parents, Morgan smiled up at Peter before saying, "Say hi to Mommy."

Peter gave a small wave but Pepper soon pulled him into a hug and tenderly pressed a kiss to his head. Peter sighed in contentment.

Tony broke up the moment by saying," Look what the cat dragged in."

Peter looked behind him to see Doctor Strange standing there, looking at him with narrowed eyes. Peter swallowd nervously.
