Ziggy smiled as he dragged Dillon into the local mall. "This store used to be around when we were kids! It was my favorite."
Dillon raised an eyebrow as he saw a giant image of a teddy bear on the wall. "Really?"
"Yeah! It's so much fun!"
Dillon shrugged and followed the other man into the store.
Ziggy rushed to the wall of colorful stuffed animals. He looked them over carefully.
"Why are they limp and empty?" Dillon asked quietly.
"That's part of the fun, you get to build it! They fill it with stuffing here."
Dillon nodded slowly as Ziggy shoved one into Dillon's hands. He looked it over and noticed it was a wolf.
Ziggy grabbed on for himself and took it to the stuffing area.
The person at the stuffer greeted them and took their stuffed animal skins. After stuffing them up, they gave Dillon and Ziggy hearts. Dillon looked confused as Ziggy picked his up. Dillon followed suit and picked his up as well.
"Alright, now we have to shake them up to wake them up!"
Dillon rolled his eyes as Ziggy energetically shook the heart.
"Jump up and down to get them jump started."
Dillon shook it a bit more, not planning on jumping until Ziggy took his hand and jumped with him.
"Put it over your heart so it gets full of lots of love." The two did so, Dillon still obviously reluctant at the whole idea.
"Put it over your knees so they always need you!"
Ziggy laughed which made Dillon smile.
"Now, hold them tight and close your eyes. Make the biggest wish you can think of."
Ziggy closed his eyes and made a wish. Dillon watched him with a soft smile as he made his own wish.
After putting the hearts in, the worker sewed them closed. Ziggy pulled the black ranger over to the clothes. "Now we need to dress them!"
"What would a wolf and a whale wear?"
"Anything!" Ziggy laughed and pulled down a t-shirt and tiny leather jacket. He handed it to Dillon. "Seems like your wolf would wear this."
Dillon chuckled and began dressing his stuffed wolf.
Ziggy got his whale dressed before they checked out.
Once back in the car, Dillon started it and began to drive, "So what did you wish for?"
"You can't tell the wishes or they won't come true."
Dillon just nodded quietly and drove them home.
A few months later, Dillon approached Ziggy. "I need a few new shirts and am going to the mall. Want to come with?"
Ziggy smiled and climbed into Dillon's car.
After arriving at the mall, Dillon looked around then nodded, "Want to go to the build-a-plushie store?"
Ziggy looked surprised but nodded and took Dillon's hand.
After picking out their new plushies, they went to get them stuffed.
"Close your eyes and make a wish."
Ziggy closed his eyes. When he opened them, Dillon was down on one knee in front of him.
"Dillon?"
"I know we aren't supposed to tell our wish.. but.. I wish you would say yes?" Dillon held out a ring.
Ziggy's eyes went wide and he nodded quickly, "Yes! Of course!"
Dillon grinned and stood, placing the ring on Ziggy's finger. He admired it for a moment, "Did you plan this? Or was this random?"
"It couldn't have been completely random if I had a ring," Dillon reminded.
Ziggy chuckled and kissed Dillon hard. "I love you."
"I love you too. Even if you cover our whole room in plushies." Dillon smiled.
