Christmas Drop # 2

Despite how roughly her morning started, waking up to serious cramps and a blood-stained mattress, Caitlyn did her best to drown out the weird funk caused by her out-of-place hormones. Normally, she thrived by living on the couch in her apartment like a potato but for some reason, this time around, staying at home made her restless and stuffy. It was driving her crazy honestly so she opted for the next best choice, reading a book in the park that was located a little south of her place about a ten-minute walk away.

So, with her best resting bitch face, she changed into a baggy sweater and dark-colored sweats before slapping on some sunglasses. After that, she grabbed her tote bag and packed it with some painkillers, her keys, and the most current book she was reading. Once she left the door, she made her way toward the park before swinging by the cafe right across the street and buying a large latte and apple Danish. Now that she had some caffeine in her hand, she searched for the best spot to read a book before deciding on that bench with a large tree next to it. She quickly settled, falling into a nice routine of sipping her coffee and munching on the Danish while reading away.

One second, Caitlyn was keeping a neutral poker face as she read an explicit R18+ scene, the next she was reaching out to take a sip of her coffee before terribly flinching when an energetic dog jumped right up into her crotch. Of course, it was mid-sip and she jerked before almost spitting out her coffee. She narrowly managed to save her book from dropping out of her hand before setting down her coffee on the table. She coughed a few times to clear her throat before looking beneath the table and encountering the cutest pup out there.

"Oh— why hello there munchkin?"

Lo and behold, it was a cute German Shepard who was still very much sniffing and whining into her crotch. Her body immediately tensed because although she loved dogs very much, this pup was a stranger to her who was sniffing her zone. All while she was very much on her period.

"Athena!" A feminine voice shouted in shock. "What are you doing? No! Stop! Bad girl!"

Ah yes, finally, her possible savior and mother of this cute yet naughty pup.

"Girl stop!"

Caitlyn finally tore her eyes away from the pupper before making eye contact with the owner and god, she was glad she set down her coffee because if she hadn't, she would've dropped her beverage on the floor by now. This woman was… ridiculously attractive, gorgeous, stunning, hot? Whatever adjective that existed in this humble world was honestly not enough to describe a woman of her class.

The woman is finally within reach and she was quick to snag the leash before yanking her dog back. "Athena I said stop, yield! Sit!" Her dog only whined in response before finally complying and taking a seat by her feet. She started panting innocently while glancing back and forth between her and her mom. "God…" The absolutely charming woman started with slightly pink cheeks. "I am so sorry! I swear she normally has more manners than this." She then looked down at her dog, giving her an annoyed look, and fuck, did Caitlyn think the way her nose was scrunched was the cutest fucking shit alive. "Are you alright? I hope she didn't make you uncomfortable in any way…"

Oh fuck… Was she talking to Caitlyn? Because it sounded like she was. Wait. She was! What did she say? Thankfully… despite how useless her brain was, her body was used to abrupt conversations since it was ingrained into her DNA since she was little. One of her secret party tricks honestly. "Sorry, care to repeat that?"

The goddess-like woman rubbed her neck, her tattooed neck specifically, before bashfully repeating herself. "I was saying I'm sorry for my pup's behavior, she usually has better manners than this. I don't know what got into her…" She glanced down at her dog again with a disappointed pout.

Honestly, Caitlyn wasn't even listening to her. She was too busy eating up the way her arm tensed and flexed as she rubbed her neck. Her mouth went dry and she swallowed deeply in an attempt to moisturize her parched throat. After a second, she registered that this beautiful lady was waiting for a response. As her thoughts ran off at a million miles per second, her mouth managed to save her flustered gay panic.

"Don't worry, it is quite alright." Her body was finally working as she looked at the dog to make eye contact with her. "She just had me surprised that's all…"

The sexy babe only rubbed her cheek in response. "Still I feel bad…" she scrunched her face in thought before she snapped her fingers. "Ah, that's right. I work at that bakery down the street." She then pointed west of the park. "If you swing by tomorrow, I can give you something for free! It'll be on me, anything you'd like."

"Oh, no I can't take you up on that offer, that's not necessary. It's not as if…" Caitlyn eyed the dog again, "Athena was it?" The owner nodded and she was basically a MILF no(?) because of her adorable fur baby and everything. "Caused me no trouble besides a slight shock to the ego." She laughed before extending her hand. On cue, Athena practically lunged forward to sniff her hand.

"Athena! Girl stop, why are you acting like this!" Grunting to herself softly, the MILF laughed nervously before shifting her weight to the other leg. "Sorry, really… I don't know what's up with her but please, I insist. As payment for making you endure this… awkward whatever this is…" her alluring gray eyes finally wandered off a little, specifically falling down onto the book she was reading. "Oh, nice choice. I really loved that one."

For a second, Caitlyn completely forgot what book she was reading. She ended up looking down to confirm what it was before a realization hit her. Wait. This woman had read this book. This book. This utterly gay and steamy book that was about a forbidden relationship between a college student fucking her best friend's mom by mistake: Mistakes Were Made.

Oh fuck.

She had read it too.

"Anyways… I should get going now, I've wasted enough of your time." She tugged lightly at the leash, indicating for her pup to move, before turning around. "Don't forget! Tomorrow at the bakery west from here. I'll be there from morning until late afternoon so stop by any time!"

And just like that, as abruptly as she appeared, she disappeared from her sight in a matter of seconds. Caitlyn finally remembered to breathe before reality sunk in. What just happened? She blinked repeatedly as if that would help her think and once her brain buffered a little, she covered her mouth in shock.

"Oh my god, that did just not happen."

xXx

It was day two of her period.

A damned day Caitlyn wanted to stay home and not go to work but not everyone always got what they wanted right? To make matters worse, her shift ended up being a pain in her ass since her coworkers couldn't pull their shit together for some damned reason. Meaning…. extra workload for her.

Yay.

Just wonderful.

Either way, the point was that today really wasn't her day. She was about to storm home, take a nice hot shower, and then indulge herself with microwaveable popcorn while binging on some sappy rom-com. That was the plan at least. On her way home, there was a little itch in her brain. An itch that was reminding her about that one bakery located west of the park. An itch that was so bad that her feet automatically dragged her west of the park with some slight anxiety. It was already late afternoon so what if that spectacular woman was already long gone? She'd probably walk up to this bakery in disappointment.

Pssh…

It was fine. She would just walk up to the window, take a peek, and if she was still there by some miracle, she would go inside. If not… she would just do a drive-by and walk away. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. When Caitlyn finally arrived in front of the bakery, she slowed down her walking pace, peering into the window (not like a creepier at all). Her eyes skimmed the crowd of customers, bypassing them to the employees scattered around here and there.

Red hair. Gorgeous lips. Cheeks dusted with a cute amount of freckles.

They were… they weren't there. A frown quickly formed on Caitlyn's face and she tore her eyes away from the window from further disappointment. Her shoulders slumped down in dejection before she pouted slightly. She shouldn't be surprised. After all, she was the one who didn't come earlier in the day.

It was her fault.

It was her fault so why did she feel like crying? Her eyes actually grew somewhat wet for some damned reason. She blamed her stupid hormones for being wack. Letting out a heavy sigh, Caitlyn sniffled before stomping away, storming back in the direction she came from.

This was stupid.

She shouldn't have come in the first place but just as she passed the end of the building, a familiar voice was speaking up, or rather, shouting in the distance. Unable to help herself, Caitlyn allowed her eyes to wander off and when they landed on the source of the voice, her chest lightened up.

"No— that's not what I meant when I said to take off the lid first." The voice grumbled in annoyance, "You're gonna break it like that! Don't force it—" There was a slight pause before she gasped. "Ughh… you better not have…" she sucked in her breath with her eyes shut. "Just leave it." The tone in her voice made Caitlyn's knees weak. "I'll look at it when I get home so just wait and don't touch it anymore. Got it Powder?" She groaned out loud again before hanging up and shoving her phone into her pocket. She then stuffed her hands into the pockets of her jacket before taking a step.

That's when she looked up.

Caitlyn made eye contact with her and she opened her mouth to say something but what was she going to say? 'Hey sorry I was late.' or 'Is everything alright?' they hadn't made any promises in the first place and who was she kidding, this beautiful woman probably didn't remember her in the first place. Sucking in a breath of air, Caitlyn was pivoted on her feet. She needed to hide fast but then that's when she froze in place. Wait. Why did she need to hide in the first place? She was only—

"Hey!" That lovely voice interjected her thoughts like a knife through butter. "From the park yesterday." Caitlyn heard her jogging over and in no time, she was sticking her cute face into her peripheral vision. "You came."

Forcing herself to face her, Caitlyn gave her a million-dollar smile. She had no idea what to say but what came out of her mouth was this, "I came."

A few blinks later, for some reason, Caitlyn's thoughts went down the gutter and her cheeks burned. She turned away and shut her eyes, clearing her throat before trying again. "Sorry— I guess I'm late since well…" she looked at her attire once before smiling sheepishly, "It looks like you're about to head home."

The woman blinked before looking down at her attire as well. "Ah, yeah. I was planning to head straight home…" She then glanced up to look Caitlyn in the eyes before smiling softly. "Unless… you're down for a cup of coffee?"

That made Caitlyn blush for some reason. There was no way she was hitting on her… right? She ended up clearing her throat before squeaking out, "I-I'm down!" She nodded vigorously before double-confirming, "Totally down!" Oh how much Caitlyn wanted to slap herself before being oh-so-subtle and a fumbling mess.

Thankfully, the woman only giggled with a warm smile before finally introducing herself. "My name's Vi by the way miss…?" She offered her hand.

Caitlyn repeated her name several times in her head. Vi. Vi, Vi, Vi. "Nice to meet you Vi, I'm Caitlyn." She then reached out, shaking her hand before praying that Vi couldn't feel how clammy she felt.

"Caitlyn…" Vi repeated in a soft voice that fluttered Caitlyn's heart. She smiled before jerking her head toward the park, "Shall we then?"

"Let's…"

Caitlyn honestly wasn't sure what was worse… letting go of Vi's hand or their walk over to the park. It had been silent for most of it and it wasn't really until they were at the cafe that one of them spoke. Specifically Vi.

"Feel free to get whatever you want, it'll be my treat." Right when Caitlyn was about to protest, Vi cut her off. "And I won't be taking no as an answer, it's only right I treat you after my dog snuffed you out."

As much as Caitlyn wanted to argue back, she couldn't. "Okay, fine. You win but next time it'll be on me." Those words slipped out and before she could react to the implication, Vi was shooting her a very cocky yet attractive grin.

"Alright deal."

They both ended up ordering a drink and a snack to go with it. Caitlyn had opted to save a table, meaning Vi was standing and waiting for their drinks and snacks to buy herself some time to set her thoughts right. Was this what she thought this was? A… date? No. That couldn't be.

Right?

This was just an apology treat. That's all. Because Vi was such a wonderful human being with the golden bonus of looking like the most attractive butch lesbian she has ever seen. Indulging in her wants, Caitlyn took a peek at Vi, and well, fuck. She was just too hot. Vi ended up placing their orders in a timely manner and once she received their food and drinks, she sat down with Caitlyn who was at a table by the corner next to the window.

"Thank you."

"Of course, my pleasure."

Caitlyn ended up fidgeting with the rim of her caramel macchiato before gingerly starting. "So…"

Vi took a sip of her cappuccino with an amused eyebrow raised before repeating after her. "So…?"

Gulping once, Caitlyn ended up clearing her throat before awkwardly commenting. "Nice weather today huh?" She immediately flinched inward before mentally slapping herself for mentioning the stupidest comment in existence.

A playful chuckle left Vi's lips, which made Caitlyn think it wasn't so bad after all, as set down her cup. "Yeah, nice weather indeed."

Silence fell between the two of them and Caitlyn's lips thinned out. Was she always this socially awkward? She'd like to think she was a decent people person. Or maybe it was thanks to the woman she was sharing the table with. Yeah. Let's be real. It was most definitely because of how attractive Vi was that made her lost for words. It was fine. She had a drink and a cupcake so all she had to do was distract herself by eating. But thankfully… Vi was the one who picked up the conversation for better or worse.

"So, did you ever finish that book you were reading?"

Caitlyn choked on her caramel macchiato and almost snorted it up her nose.

Vi's eyes shot open and she quickly grabbed some tissues before offering them to Caitlyn. "Oh shit, you good?"

Tears almost spilled out of her eyes and Caitlyn wasn't sure if it was because of the choking or because of her embarrassment from making herself look like a fool. She coughed semi-violently before covering her ugly face until she calmed down. When she managed to salvage some of her dignity, her face felt like it was on fire as she couldn't look Vi in the eyes.

"Y-Yeah…" she scampered out, "Besides my ego, I am fine."

That comment was the right choice since it made Vi chuckle and god, Caitlyn could listen to her all day. "Cute…"

Caitlyn twitched upright. She must have heard wrong. That was no way Vi called her cute. Right? Now her ears and neck felt extremely warm.

Vi took another sip of her cappuccino as if Caitlyn hadn't embarrassed herself in public and once she set down the cup, she made eye contact for asking. "So did you?"

Clearing her throat one last time, Caitlyn blinked away her tears. "Did I…?"

"Finish the book," she nodded her head slightly before breaking off a piece of her peanut butter cookie.

She had indeed finished the book and the fact that Vi finished it too made her feel bashful. She squirmed around in her seat before nodding cautiously. "I did…"

Smiling softly, Vi was quick to grin. "Cool! So, what are your thoughts on the ending?" She leaned forward on the table, resting her forearm on it. "Personally… I thought it was a nice ending and all but honestly, I wished they expanded a little more with Cassie's and Parker's interaction. I mean… Cassie did peg her mom but she was too cool with it in my opinion."

Forgetting her previous embarrassment, Caitlyn straightened up and snapped her fingers. "That's what I was thinking!" She ended up leaning forward as well, reflecting Vi's posture. "Sure Acacia smoothed it over but hello? That's it? I honestly don't know how I would react my best mate was shagging my mum."

Vi's eyebrow went up as she grinned brightly. She stared at her intently before Caitlyn noticed her look and questioned back.

"What?"

She shook her head subtly. "Sorry, your accent just makes my stomach bubbly," Caitlyn's face must have fallen so she quickly followed up on her comment, "In a good way of course." She then sipped more of her cappuccino before raising her glass as if she were offering a toast. "But agreed." She took another sip of her coffee before setting it down. "Hmm now that I think about it, I don't think Erin's interactions were bad honestly. Parker was just… one hell of a daughter to accept them dating so easily."

Caitlyn laughed softly before finally reaching for her cupcake, a strawberry one with a cherry on top, and pulled back the wrapper slightly before taking a bite. She chewed on it with her mouth closed before washing it down with her coffee. "Well, besides the parts that could've been expanded upon more, I would give the book a four out of five."

Vi nodded in agreement. "Same."

One soft smile later, she ended up raising her cup and taking a sip. After staring at Caitlyn for a hot second, she opened her mouth before falling short and closing her mouth. Of course, Caitlyn noticed before raising an eyebrow and pushing.

"What?"

That made Vi's eye flicker upward. She bit her lip before dismissing her thought, "It's nothing."

Rolling her eyes playfully at that, Caitlyn looked her dead in the eyes with a straight posture before insisting. "Please, I insist."

Vi held a look before giving in. "Alright…" she shifted in her seat to sit upright before looking Caitlyn back in the eyes and straightening her posture. Then, with the most serious face she could pull, she said: "Sorry, this may be out of context but not gonna lie, I can't stand first person POV in books."

If Caitlyn was sipping on her coffee at that moment, she most definitely would have done a spit take because that was not was she was expecting with that serious face. She wasn't sure what she was expecting honestly. "That's random."

Laughing at her response, Vi just shrugged. "What can I say? The thought just popped up since we were talking about sapphic books. As much as I would love to read all the gay books out there, I just can't get past the first few pages when I read a paragraph that starts with something like 'I woke up to a loud crashing noise' and blah blah blah." She said while acting out randomly with her arms, "I can't really explain it but you know."

Giving her an understanding smile, Caitlyn shifted in her seat. "I do get actually…" she chuckled before pointing out, "How do I put it…?" She hummed before expanding slowly, "It's like wanting to watch a movie rather than playing a game, if that makes sense."

Vi blinked before giggling back. "Yeah, I get it."

Caitlyn couldn't help her sweet smile before she took a bite of her cupcake. What she missed as she ate her dessert was Vi eyeing the way she ate and especially the way she licked the frosting off her lips. It wasn't until Caitlyn finished a good amount of her cake that she finally looked up to see a smirking Vi. For some reason, that made her blush before she stumbled on her words a little.

"W-What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

Her cocky smirk never left as she smoothly set her elbow on the table, leaning into her fist. "Nothing."

Puckering her lips into a slight pout, Caitlyn crossed her arms. "It's not nothing if you're smiling like that."

Vi smiled before teasing. "Sorry I can't help it, you're just so sweet like a cupcake. You're practically oozing sweetness and I can see why Athena was attracted to you."

Caitlyn's face must have inflamed on the spot and at that moment, she wished she got some sort of coffee slurry instead. But, thankfully she managed to recover slightly instead of short-circuiting completely. "W-Where is, Athena, was it, where is she?"

"At home of course," Vi huffed before swatting her right hand aimlessly and breaking off another bite of cookie. "She's…" she chewed a bit before continuing, "Babysitting my sister."

Confusion grew on Caitlyn's face and she stared at Vi curiously before she picked up on her cue and expanded to answer her unasked question.

"My sister. She's barely sixteen but she thinks she can take over the whole world!" She exclaimed dramatically while flicking both her hands outward to emphasize how great her proclamation is. "Super smart but a little clumsy." She then blinked before adding, "And don't tell her I said that. All she'll ever hear from me is that she's a grease monkey."

Giggling at that remark, Caitlyn gave her a warm smile. "You must be close with your sister."

Vi ended up shrugging. "You can say that but most times I'm just tolerating her."

Laughing again, Caitlyn's smile grew into something bittersweet. "It must be nice. I grew up as a lonely child and well… let's just say I got quite lonely. Still am truthfully…"

Trying to gauge her reaction, Vi stared at her intently before relaxing in her seat. "Hey, well now you got me."

Caitlyn looked up and eyed her in confusion.

Vi let her eyes wander up at the ceiling innocently before listing out with her fingers. "And also my friends if you're up to it? And then my sister, and of course, my dog." She then looked back down to make eye contact. "That's at least two new friends, or well three if you include me if you're willing to expand your circle because I would love to get to know you outside of this cafe."

Loss for words, random noises that were an attempt at speaking left Caitlyn's mouth in a knotted mess. She tried a few times but failed miserably before sighing and taking a deep breath. She grabbed her cheeks, feeling hot how they were, before bashfully looking at Vi in the eyes and inhaling deeply through her nose. She exhaled through her mouth and then did it again. After she recovered from her self-induced embarrassment, she noted Vi's amused yet cocky smile. Something about it was arousing and hot yet annoying at the same time.

She wasn't normally such a gay panicking mess.

Normally.

She had game. She did. So… with the best courage she could pull, she gave Vi her best seductive smile as she leaned forward on the table. The tip of her toes grazed against Vi's caff and she was as close as she could have been before smiling sweetly. And, to top of her attempt at being suave, she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear before speaking in a somewhat raspy voice.

"Well, I don't know how well I would mesh with your friends… However, I would love the opportunity to be able to win them over. They'll love me more than they love you in let's say… two weeks tops."

"Oh," Vi blinked in astonishment before chuckling. "Is that a challenge I hear?"

Caitlyn kept up her cocky smile. "Maybe."

"Alright, it's on then. You got a deal." She held out her so Caitlyn could shake it but before she could, she interjected, "But, if you don't, you'll have to pay the penalty."

"Penalty? What kind?"

"Mmh… how about I get back to you when the time comes."

Caitlyn shrugged at that. "Alright, it's a deal."

Vi grinned back. "A deal."
