Rika sat behind her desk, hands intertwined and glasses perched on her nose, waiting for a challenger to take on her Champion Assessment. But today was different - she had just received surprising news from her boss, Geeta, that a special guest from the Kanto region was coming to take on her challenge. At first, Rika thought Geeta was joking about the youngest and current Monarch in history visiting Paldea unexpectedly. However, as she thought more about it, she began to believe that Geeta was serious.

Ash Ketchum was here in the Paldea region.

As Rika waited, her mind raced with thoughts. Ash Ketchum was renowned for his skills and the strong bond he shared with his Pokémon. To think, at his young age, he had already defeated Steven, Cynthia, and even Leon to become the Monarch of the world. What else was there for him to prove he was the best among the best? Before she could ponder over more thoughts, a knock echoed through the room, and the door swung open. Stepping inside with Pikachu on his shoulder was Ash Ketchum. Rika stood up, offering a respectful nod. "Welcome to Paldea, Ash Ketchum. I'm Rika, one of the Elite Four members. I've heard from Geeta you wanted to take on the Champion Assessment. It's an honor to make your acquaintance, Monarch."

Ash grinned, "Thanks, Rika! I've heard a lot about the strong Trainers in the Paldea region, and I'm excited about the challenge. Pikachu and I are ready for anything!"

Rika motioned towards the chair in the center of her office. "Fantastic! Let's get started then. Please take a seat," she instructed with a smile. Ash obeyed as he walked over and took his seat. "Now then, before we proceed forward with the Champion Assessment, we have to first check to see if you're eligible to take on the Elite 4 and its current Champion," Rika explained, drawing confusion from the reigning Monarch.

Ash was surprised by Rika's explanation that he needed to be deemed eligible before taking the Champion Assessment. "Wait, what? I have to see if I'm eligible to take the assessment?" he asked in disbelief.

"Don't worry, it's just a short interview."

"But I'm not applying for a job."

"Not that interview."

"Oh..."

"A-Anyway...please make sure to answer each answer correctly. One wrong answer and you will fail the interview," Rika informed, stunning Ash and Pikachu.

"Wait? One wrong answer and I failed?" Rika nodded again, confirming his suspicions. "Don't tell me this whole thing is rigged!" he accused with a deep frown.

"What? No...it's not."

"You hesitated!"

"That's because you caught me off guard!"

"So it is rigged!"

Rika's frustration was starting to show as she continued to assess Ash's eligibility. "No, it's not!" she exclaimed in response to Ash's suggestion that the eligibility check was unnecessary. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of doubt about Ash's qualifications for the Champion Assessment, considering he had zero badges. Rika tried to push those thoughts aside and regain her composure. "Anyway...let's begin with the interview, shall we?" she asked, to which Ash nodded. "Good." She fixed her gaze on her computer screen to review Ash's profile and then glanced back at him. "It looks like you have 0 badges. That's...good," she said hesitantly.

Ash raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Good? How is that good?"

Rika took a deep breath before responding. "Well, typically trainers who have zero badges are not ready to take on the Elite 4. But you're the reigning Monarch, so I'm sure you have more than enough experience and skills to make up for it." Then she asked, "I mean, how else did you get past the only security personnel at the front entrance?" Rika asked.

Ash grumbled angrily in response, "Oh, that guy. He was so rude. He thought I was an Ash Ketchum wannabe and told me to take a hike, so I had Pikachu use Thunderbolt on him."

Rika's face dropped in shock at Ash's explanation. "You...you used Thunderbolt on the security personnel?" she asked, clearly concerned about the situation.

Ash shrugged nonchalantly. "He was being a jerk, and I needed to get inside. Plus, Pikachu's Thunderbolt didn't even hurt him that badly. He just got knocked out for a little while," he explained.

Rika sighed and shook her head. "Well, regardless of what happened, please refrain from using Pokémon moves on people, especially security personnel. That kind of behavior is not acceptable at the Pokémon League."

Ash nodded in understanding. "Got it. Sorry about that."

Rika took a moment to gather her composure before continuing with the interview. "That leads to my next question: how did you get here?" she asked, causing Ash to frown.

"I told you...the front entrance."

"I know."

"Then why did you even ask that?"

"I had to make sure you didn't jump down from the ceiling."

"That didn't make any sense."

"You make no sense!"

"Are you on your period or something? You sound a bit grumpy."

"W-W-What?!" A blush crept up to Rika's cheeks. "H-How dare you say that?!" she growled. "What makes you think I was on my period?"

"I mean...Geeta seems like she was."

"What?!"

"She was flirting with me and everything. She told me I should forget about Cynthia and be her Champion, whatever that means..."

"I-I see..." Rika was struggling to maintain her composure. She decided to focus on the next question. "So, what brings you here today?"

"Is that a trick question?" Ash asked.

"What? No...just answer the question, Monarch."

"My name is Ash, not Monarch."

"It will be ass soon if you don't answer the question!" Rika threatened with a growl.

"Why are you so mean?!"

"Because I'm on my period," Rika said sarcastically.

"Ha! I knew it!"

"I was just joking," the Elite said with a deadpan stare.

"Well, beggars can't be choosers."

"What are you talking about?"

"Maybe I should go. This is getting a little awkward."

"Please do." Ash stood up from his seat and left the room, causing Rika to heave a sigh. "How did that happen?" she mumbled.

"Help!" A cry suddenly echoed outside her office. Rika's attention was immediately drawn to the door. "A crazy yandere Spanish girl is chasing me and won't leave me alone until I'm her forever Novio, whatever that means!" Ash exclaimed, his voice filled with panic.

Poor Ash. It looks like he met Nemona at the end LOL XD
