To The End
Chapter 19
Bailey stayed close by. Doing his homework and helping the customers once he was finished. He liked interacting with them enjoyed seeing his mom do the job she loved.
Eventually though the two left the store. After the drive home.
Bailey went upstairs to change and wash up for dinner.
Brooke went into the take out drawer in the kitchen to pick out a menu.
As excited as she was for this time away with Lucas.
She was alot more nervous then she let on.
The two hadn't said i love you yet and she wondered if the feelings they had for each other were strong on both sides.
We had blended our lives as much as possible for two people who didn't live together. It worked it made sense.
We hadn't expressed our feelings for each other physically yet.
Which is more on me then him. I just find myself unable to let go.
And be in the moment. In the back of my mind.
I have this fear that i can't shake.
I let myself fully love him. And the other shoe drops.
I'm alone again and it's not only my heart that get's broken.
Brooke had picked out a take out menu and was about to take out her cellphone to order. When she heard a knock at the kitchen back door.
She wanted to ignore it once she saw who it was by the window.
But she knew he wouldn't go away so she opened it.
"Well it took you a year but you finally made it back here."
"I want to ask what you've been up too. But i'm worried what the answer might be." Brooke said.
"Do you really have such little faith in me?" Felix asked.
"Yes i do." Brooke replied.
"We never talked about it. What i do. My parents are both doctors."
"Anna and I moved around because they needed to save the world."
"I work in business. Trips. Suits. And all the stuff that comes with it." Felix said.
"I want to give my son the world. To make for all the time and birthdays and holidays i missed out on." Felix said.
"Do you mean that.?" Bailey asked.
Brooke's heart leaping into throat.
"Of course i do." Felix replied.
