30. chapter 30

The madrigal family all made it back to the living room, Camilo looked around and shrugged*

Camilo:ok. So I'm gonna say what we're all thinking, just what the hell more does that girl do around this town?

Alma:Camilo language, don't be so vulgar with how you say it. But I agree. Anyhow let's all go to work, the encanto needs us. Luisa with me, oh I'm gonna enjoy today

Alma said with a cackle that brought fear to the residents of casita, even Casita trembled a little in fear. Luisa almost didn't

Julieta:I'm free but I can't spend it with Mirabel, like I wanted

Dolores heard Julieta mumble, she frowned slightly at hearing that. She crossed her arms and started walking to her room*

Dolores"can't believe she's trying to act like she didn't marry her daughter off to her cousin. Ay mirabel, your far to forgiving do this people"

Dolores thought as she closed the door. Once she was alone she placed her earmuffs back on and took a deep breath enjoying the silence, Dolores walked to her bed, what was once a walk of noises hearing every single person in the encanto do the point of constant headaches, now was a silent walk where the only thing she could hear was the echo of her own steps she crashed on the bed and cuddles it

"Dolores:there was a gunshot!!"

Dolores:...

Dolores's own words were causing her trouble. So she took out her earmuffs and concentrated on mirabel's heartbeat*

Mariano:my silence means I am tired of fight by Mariano gustan

Dolores:oh come on that's not fair

Dolores said to herself as Mariano decided now of all times to recite another one of his poems. Dolores shook her head and concentrated even more on mirabel's finding her heartbeat and she was singing, in some strange language she didn't understand*

Dolores:so she can also know more languages other then English and Spanish. Heh ay, that girl

Dolores said to herself with a slightly amused smile, she closed her eyes and enjoyed Mirabel's singing, subconsciously finding it better then Mariano's poems*

Mirabel:sonna toki itsu datte me wo tojireba waratteru kimi ga iru itsuka eien no nemuri ni tsuku hi made dou ka sono egao ga taema naku aru you ni

just hearing that she was safe and In the encanto made it worth the pain of hearing the other noises of the village. Dolores turning herself into a ball as she went to sleep, on mirabel's side of the bed using the younger girl's heartbeat to calm her mind into a peaceful rest*

Meanwhile with Felix and Agustín

We see them unhooking the door to Julieta's room and taking it downstairs. They worked in silence, the truth that was set off by alma from before being like a wall, at what was once a strong friendship. With a huff they threw the broken door away and went into town to get a new one*

Felix:nice day today, all sunny

Agustin:until your wife hits her little pinkie toe

Agustín said, like felix he was also trying to ignore the big elephant in the room and be civil. Felix rolled his eyes putting his hands in his pockets*

Felix:that only happened once

Agustín:4 times in this year alone and we're only in February, I stopped counting the times she's been sad drunk, those are too many to count

Felix had to force a smile, the tone in Agustin voice wasn't as playful or teasing when he said it, it was the same way the same time the townspeople use to talk about his wife*

Felix:so we're gonna get in to this?

Agustín:into what? What horrible parents you are? Letting your son get away with harming MY daughter?

They stopped walking and just stared at each other. Both with there arm crossed scowling a the other*

Felix:there were just pranks. People are making a mountain out of a molehill. Me and my friends used to play those kinds of pranks at each other all the time

Agustin:oh, then let me have some fun like that, where's pepa so I can throw a rock at her like Camilo did to Mirabel

Agustin said with a fake happy tone, his words were full of sarcasm that felix did no appreciate, so he kept walking, with Agustín following him*

Felix:your being unreasonable

Agustín:and you are avoiding the question. What's wrong big man? I thought you said you did that with your friends all the time, so let me hit your wife with a rock as a prank

It took so much personal control for felix not to punch Agustín right here and now but thankfully they made it to the carpenter store. They walked inside, Agustín walked to the register while Felix leaned against the wall waiting for Agustin. He frowned remembering the times he saw Mirabel all bloody, because of Camilo*

Felix"it was just a prank"

Felix thought to himself making his denial all the more worse, since his child could never do anything that bad*

Meanwhile with Pepa

Since felix was busy with the door fiasco, pepa decided to take it upon herself to watch over Camilo and Isabela in there work*

Pepa:Isabela how can you get the donkeys like this?

Pepa asked pinching the bridge of her nose as Isabela was behind pepa looking at those demons with 4 legs eating grass. When a donkey looked up at her it made Isabela give out a small yelp, and hid more on her Aunty's back*

Isabela:I'm not getting anywhere near that demon! You have no idea what they did to me!

Pepa:ay dios, i never heard Luisa complain. So march already before I tell alma

At the mention of her grandmother and her already disappointment for her, it made Isabela get out of pepa's back and walk to the donkeys not wanting to be even more of a disappointment to the matriarch, with shaky legs she started walking to the animal. Isabela flinched*

Isabela:it blew smoke out of his nose! It's a demon!

Isabela screamed pointing at the vile creature. Pepa groaned deeply frustrated, she repeated her mantra as she stomped her way to the animal, pulling Isabela by her ear*

Pepa:oh my God enough! It's just a donkey! It's not gonna hurt you see?!

Pepa screamed As she slapped the donkey's backside. Isabela pupils went as small as pin needles as the donkey's tail raised isabela jumped out of the way just In time, pepa looked confused as she turned her gaze at the animals and...*

Meanwhile with Mirabel

Mirabel raised her head and saw the clouds turning black, she sighed frustrated*

Mirabel:great, now what happened to Tia now?

Arthur: you'll have to deal with that later, we just need 3 more and we're done for the day, now concentrate

Arthur said and Mirabel nodded her head. All 3 of them pointed there rifle at the herd that regrouped after the madrigals Little outburst*

Arthur: they're gonna be leaving in a few moments, so we only have this shot. Both of you make it count. Mirabel aim for the big one on the right, Ponce the lean one on the center, I'll take the one all alone at the back

Ponce:si papá

Mirabel:yes sir

The 3 of them aimed at there respected animal, Mirabel took a sharp breath as the prey started raising it's head, getting ready to leave. Mirabel took her shot getting the animal at its neck, Mirabel heard the other two rifles being shot.*

Arthur:damn it I missed

Ponce:your eyes are failing at your old age old man

Ponce said with a smirk feeling smug that he was the only one who got a headshot. Mirabel rolled her eyes, as the father and son Duo started to playfully bicker, mirabel got up and slide down the now mud hill looking at the disappearing animals*

Mirabel:ladies, ladies your both very pretty. Now get down here and help me or I swear I'll give the corpse to T'Challa to enjoy!!

Mirabel screamed at the two bickering hunting partners that are older then her, and yet she's the one who's more concerned over the meat them who's the better shot. The father son Duo soon joined her, Arthur placed Mirabel's deer over the shoulder, while Ponce and Mirabel lifted the other one*

Arthur:right, let's go. We still need to dismember everything, no doubt parce and Antonio must be waiting for there favorite person in all of encanto

Ponce:of course, I'm sure Antonio is just dying to see me again

Mirabel snorted and kicked Ponce's shin, they quickly made it to the cart with the rest of the meat. They got on and rode off back to encanto*

Mirabel"wonder how the other's day went, hopefully Luisa ate without me. Wonder if Dolores did more then just listen to Mariano's poems oh and..."

And so mirabel let her mind wander off in that ramble thinking of her family*
