This was supposed to be a much different and much longer chapter, but decided to save that until the next chapter. Wanted to get this out before going on holiday for new years! So the next chapter won't be out for a while. Anyway, here is a small bridging chapter for you all to enjoy. This was a pretty rush job, but what happens next will be much better and get the ball rolling on this adventure!
Chapter 2 – One Last Normal Morning
Saturday, the 23rd of December began like Lincoln expected, his older siblings were coming home today for Christmas; Lori, had moved in with her boyfriend, Bobby, when she graduated from Fairway University. Leni, moved in with her boyfriend, Gavin, a couple years ago, now the at Reininger's. Luna, she was now a legit rockstar! The Moon Goats had made it after a producer had listened to a demo album they had made two years earlier. Luan was still at collage, but was part time doing comedy gigs, still with Mr Coconuts. And then there was Lynn, total sports star now, who would've guessed?
Speaking of Lynn, today was also her final match of the year and all the Loud Siblings were going to her match to support her. Lincoln, now being the oldest sibling in the household, had the responsibility for all of his younger sisters.
The boy yawned as his alarm went off, his hair having a serious case of 'bed hair' and an imprint of some creases from the pillow imprinted onto his cheek. He slept very well that night.
"Morning's in the…oh, I'm too tired to do that today" he chuckled and stretched before getting out of bed and headed out of his room towards the bathroom. The boy had just touched the doorknob of said room before Lana pushed past him "ya snooze, ya loose big brother" the thirteen year old laughed and slammed the door behind her, this was a common occurrence, every single morning and knew that he'd be the last to use the bathroom.
Next to use the room was Lucy, then Lola, followed by Lucy and finally to use the bathroom was Lily.
"Thank you, Lincoln" the youngest says with a smile, shutting the door. Lincoln smiled back and rolled his eyes, he couldn't ever be mad at his younger sisters. But he was beginning to bounce of the spot, he shouldn't have had three cups of water during the night.
Once all the Loud children in the house had used the bathroom, they changed by themselves, now being old enough to do so without having to be told, even Lily.
"Kids! Breakfast!" Their father called from the kitchen, it was always a surprise when the stairs didn't collapse as the kids barrelled down the stairs and ran into the kitchen. "You all know what day it is" he smiled, bringing the plate into the dining room. "Breakfast burrito Saturday!" They all cheered and dived for the plate, all the burritos disappeared in a matter of seconds. "So, so good" Lily says, lying on her back with her head dangling over the end of the table, all the siblings hummed in agreement.
Suddenly, the front door swung open and Luna glided in on her knees and played a chord from her guitar "Good Morning Loud House!" She yelled and threw up rocker signs with her hands. She was soon followed by Lori, Leni and Luan. "She literally begged us to let her do that, we literally couldn't say no" Lori says, letting out a yelp as her younger siblings tackled them in a group hug.
"We missed you!" Lilly smiled up at her eldest sisters.
"Aw, we missed you too little dude" Luna smiled and picked the eight year old and hugged her.
"Yeah, words cannot expresso how much we missed you" Luan laughed "get it?" As expected, everyone groaned. "But seriously, I need a coffee, Luna was jamming all night, I couldn't sleep!"
"How many times do I have to apologise dude?" Luna chuckled
"Hey, where's Lynn?" Lincoln asked, looking around
"She wanted to get dropped off at the pitch early to get in some practice" Leni smiled, giving Lily a hug now.
"Oh dear, good luck you guys" Lucy spoke up as she heard fast footsteps, looking around to see their father skidding round the corners and collected his oldest daughters in a very teary hug, most tears from him. "My babies are home" he cried happily.
"It's good you see you too, dad" Lori chuckled.
"Yeah, pop-star" Luna added, hugging him back.
Rita came down the stairs and smiled at the scene, "welcome home gi…Lynn, Lynn, let them breathe" she says quickly, noticing Lori going a light shade of blue. The younger siblings all but pried their father off of them, Lori letting out and then taking in a deep breath.
"Oh, sorry sorry" he sniffed "I'm just so happy my babies are home"
"We know dad, it's okay" Lori chuckled, a little breathless.
It was mom's turn now to hug her oldest daughters, one by one as to not smother them. "Have you girls had food?" She asked, getting four yes' in reply. "Well, your father did make some more buri…" she didn't even get to finish as all of their kids vanished in a puff of smoke into the kitchen "…to's" she ended with a chuckle, entering the kitchen with Lynn to see their kids their with satisfied faces on.
"Oh how I've missed Burrito Saturdays" Luan muses
"Yeah, maybe you should make some more dad, for Lynn, after her match" Leni adds.
"Already sorted, but I've hidden them because I know what you vultures are like" their father chuckled, ruffling Luna's hair.
The family spoke for a while, about how Luna's tour was going, Luan's too, and living with parter life with Lori and Leni, for about an hour before they all piled in Vanzilla which by some miracle was still running after all these years. They set off out of the driveway, and were about 200 meters down the road before their driveway became occupied with a British blue police box, which spat out someone who would change their lives forever.
Don't forget to leave a review so far, it really helps me out to become a better writer!
